Have a question. I am trying to figure out a dog food that does not take up a lot of space, provides enough calories for an active medium to large sized dog to live on and remain healthy. It would have to be shelf stable with little if any filler or water. Would pemmican reconstituted with water work for this purpose? Has anyone tried this? Would the amount of fat required for the pemmican be too hard on a dog's kidneys? I figure if worse comes to worse I'd be willing to eat it.
