I was looking at survivalist boards and noticed a new Jerry D Young story.

this takes you to the thread, and the first post has a download link to the story in PDF format. just download and save to your puter then read it via something like adobe reader (free download if you don't have it)

Timely story named Penny for your Thoughts, and about TPTB using social media to manipulate people to violence. just read it a day ago, and it makes me think of all the stuff happening in TX.

Worth reading maybe?

I was logged into survivalist boards, but it does lead to the story for now so I'll leave what I have.

I don't read over there anymore, but I do look at the stories.

Jerry apparently put them there cause he can put up stories until he publishes them then kindle makes him take em down. I usually also buy a copy because jerry can use the money, but the early pdf's feed my PAW appetite.

some people can get it and some seem to need to log in?

I don't know, maybe the browser you use?

I find em without being logged in all the time over there.

I just went back and logged out it still lead me to the story so I don't know.

I was using win 10 and pale moon browser if that helps anyone.

THANK YOU Dosadi! Been hoping for a new JDY story - I got in over there just fine (not a paying member); looking forward to this one and it does indeed seem timely. Doesn't he also have a Part II coming for a story he published around Christmas a few years back?

Not sure on the status of the part II I haven't run up on it

he periodically puts some of his old work up for free on kindle, I have mayb 8 or so of those and a lot of old pdf's I collected back in time.

I suspect that people with a romantic survivalist bone are gonna enjoy this a bit.

it is clearly J d young story style, but different from the majority of them. Hey far as I can tell no nukes fly. :-)

Jerry D Young is one of the PAW writers that I will pick up and read without knowing what it is specifically about, None have disappointed me.

TOM was similar, but some days he went into to much detail on his food n firearms. Still he did give us the spreed sheet for half life times for falling radiation.

Different but in similar catagorie would have been fleataxi.

Two of the three are gone now I think.

Jerry has his own web site and I check in there, and have even emailed him a few times. I think he and I would have a fun evening sitting on the porch talking.

Hey Genevieve, sometimes I completely shut down my puter then relaunch everything and it seems to clear things up so I can get into sites when I'm having similar problems.

With all the nutty stuff happening, and the social media stuff in the story it sure is timely to my way of thinking.

I have never read any of this mans stories that I wasn't completely happy with. Expedition was a real tour de force.
