A perfect 76 degrees with a lovely breeze laced with salty sea air.

It's crunch time in PreK; between Mother's Day presents, growing flowers, and graduation season, plus testing, parent/teacher conferences and more, It is crazy! Good thing I love what I do!

Dinner is Beef Stroganoff with sliced NY strips I snagged on sale.

How about you? Share a square or just "What's for dinner?"

85 degrees with partly cloudy skies and breezy, today. Thunder was in the distance, but it's stopped for the time being. Lots of rain from all the storms out west of us coming in later tonight. Nothing severe for us, though. I hope not, anyway.

Supper tonight will be carry-out pizzas again for a change. Not cooking, tonight. :D I did make a homemade butter pecan cake, so that's for dessert.

Salmon piece that we’ll share along with some seared scallops I had in the freezer.
Basmati rice
Sugar snap peas

I’m cleaning bathrooms and hanging pillows/towels out to air dry
It’s super windy humid and probably close up 80deg because we’re getting rain all day tomorrow

Adding: I forgot!!!
I found a little box of surprises in the frog this morning. DH work had some kind of dealie last night and guess who brought me the extras?!

They’re a box of several mini cheesecake bites the size of half dollars and SO good!
Cutest little things, all fancy decorated lol!

Yep; we’ll have a couple later! :D

I have NO idea. Can't even think of anything that sounds good. Beautiful day here in the deep south, got a lot of yard work done and moved an overstuffed chair from the upstairs to the downstairs living room. Now I need to water the garden and try to figure out something for dinner.

It’s raining here all day in northwest Iowa.

DH has pork chops and pork loin in the smoker, I have oven fries in the oven and broccoli steaming on the stove top. We will be eating shortly.

Daughter is in process of making Nutella filled chocolate chip cookies. They are to die for and she is very good at making them. That will be dessert.

Have a blessed Sunday, all!

It's been such a nice day here. The weather is warm but with a breeze. DH and I replanted houseplants and our raspberry plants too. The raspberries weren't doing good in the part of the yard they had been planted in. We also planted flowers in our flower pots that we do every spring. They look so lovely :)
We just finished eating dinner. We had homemade pasta salad with imitation crab meat. DH fried up fish nuggets (filets he cut into bite size pieces) and he breaded and fried up shrimp in olive oil too. It was a great dinner!
I pray everyone has a blessed week!

It's a cloudy, and increasingly windy day here with wind advisories for tonight - tree limbs, power lines, high profile vehicles, the usual blah, blah blah. Chores done early and holing up out of the pelting rain right now.

Going through the pantry, I stumbled on a box of lasagna noodles that has been getting shuffled around for a while, so decided to use them. Luckily, had a big carton of cottage cheese (I don't use ricotta), did another layer of spiced burger in sauce, and had some mozzarella, parmesan and pepperoni hanging around to add to the festivities. Doctored up canned spaghetti sauce and it will work fine. Just put it in to bake a bit ago, and I should probably mix up a pan of brownies to take up the rest of the space in the oven.

That will make supper, plus plenty for next week and the freezer.

Partly sunny today, temp about 60. Pretty nice overall.

Had to work the paying job today. The tourists are moving already. My boss let me set up a section of shelving to showcase local artists and craftspeople. So far, I have 5 locals items in it, including mine. Fingers crossed!!

Dinner will a breakfast bowl from work food! Oh boy. Sure wish some of you folks were here to cook for me LOL!

On this splendid day, bathed in the gentle embrace of the sun's golden rays, we reveled in the sublime beauty of temperatures hovering in the low 70s, a testament to nature's exquisite craftsmanship.

As the evening approached, our gastronomic journey took flight with an elegant Asian-inspired feast. A tantalizing ensemble of verdant leafy greens, artfully combined to compose an Asian salad, graced our table. Dressed in the opulent hues of a honey ginger Asian dressing, each bite whispered secrets of distant lands and exotic flavors.

But the pièce de résistance, the crowning jewel of our culinary soiree, was a succulent grilled steak infused with an enchanting Asian marinade. Crafted from the finest ingredients—soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, and a symphony of salt and pepper—the steak transcended mere sustenance, ascending to the realm of culinary artistry.

And as the evening waned, we indulged in the decadent delights of assorted Danish pastries, each bite a harmonious blend of flaky pastry and delicate sweetness, a fitting finale to an evening of epicurean splendor.

That calls for a ‘dinner out’ if ever I heard one! That’s the unspoken rule of the house, when we’ve done a lot of outside work, I am NOT dragging my butt into the kitchen.
We had turkey kielbasa with roasted bell peppers and onions.

In 32 years of marriage, hubs had never bought me a birthday cake (birthday is next week). He ordered a coconut cake, so that's for dessert. Miracles still happen!!
Jealous! That’s one of my favorite comfort meals! Sausage jalapeño kielbasa with green bell peppers, and Mac n cheese. And coconut cake is one of my favorites! Alas, no one in my house eats bell peppers OR coconut, so I’m destined to go without.

And happy birthday! :chg:

We caught part of the storms that blew thru Oklahoma last night with 3" of rain. Rain on and off all day. Bought a new floor jack yesterday to take a tire off the tractor today to have repaired, but not will be tomorrow.

Supper was simple, omelette with bacon and cheese and late night ice cream.

Happy Mother's Day to all of the mothers on TB2K.
