ENVR Oregon salmon hatcheries destroyed

My mom makes a wonderful kind of fried salmon patty. Plain old delicious, it is. Have to get some today myself, I suppose; would hate to think of it gone.
My mom made salmon patties when i was a child. They were so good. Mix the salmon with egg and bread crumbs and some spice whatever you like. Damn good!!! Was cheap back in 1960......

This will affect cat food and in a big way.
Why? Do they use expensive salmon in cat food? I thought it was cheap fish? Tell me more. Oh, i can buy the chicken or beef cat food i guess. I mean the cans., but right now i am broke so only give the cat the dry stuff. I think the can stuff goes right thro them fast and then they are hungry again. I noticed it with my cat. She would eat the dry a short while after having a whole small can of the fish or chicken stuff. I sometimes buy 8 pieces of chicken nuggets for a dollar and give the cat and dogs a treat.

Well you might want to envision such a run because it's already happening! I have six new cans on the shelf that I bought a month or so ago so am not to worried, plus there's always mackerel.
If you can't afford to use Salmon for fried patties you can use a can of mackeral instead. Almost as good. Drain out most of the water though or you can add more bread crumbs.

Those of us here understand this, the useless eaters not so much. Also a lot of the salmon I find at Aldi, the fresh stuff, comes from Norway. That said I bought some more yesterday so I now have a years worth, I eat roughly one can per month.
Anyone for Tuna? Today for a strange reason while i was driving in my car i had the sudden craving for a tuna fish sandwich. I haven't eaten it in over a year. I've been eating a tomato sandwich every night. Maybe i'm getting tired of them? Maybe my brain picked up something of a fish shortage? Haven't had a craving for tuna fish in over a year. I think they used to have can tuna at Dollar Tree. I know they had can chicken. That's real good too. I prefer salad dressing instead of mayo.
