Well, first I would need to know what you intend to power and for how long. Is it 12 volt, 120 volt and do you need usb charging ports?
Not being snooty, but there are a lot of variables. :)

ETA: after reflecting a bit, you'll likely be in a vehicle, so an inverter would be a better investment. Even if you install an extra battery you'll pay a lot less. Face it, you won't be hiking far with a 31 pound battery box, plus solar panels...and then whatever appliances you anticipate running.

While I have plenty of the smaller systems like the Yetis, and they are useful for powering smaller loads when needed, WHERE needed, they do have their limits and issues. The Goal Zero Lithiums, as well as many of the other lithium battery powered portable systems still have a fairly large self discharge issues where the BMS (Battery Management System) will take the charge level down a few percent per month (or on some makes/models per week, almost as bad as lead acid based systems). The weight difference is worth it, especially since a lot of mine get used by older folks that are not going to deal with the heavier lead acid based systems.

The biggest questions are what do you want it to power, for how long between charges, and how heavy of a system can you deal with? Once you figure out the load requirements, and how much weight/size of a system you can handle if "portable" is needed, then figuring out what might be best is easy.

Give us a list of things you need powered or charged and we can start there...

Have a suggestion for brief case portable system?
At one time believe it or not, Harbor Fr8 sold a briefcase portable system. Let me check and see if they still do. Hold on.

Nope, and when googling it, it got over my head. Not an electrical person.

However I did buy one, and a jump start battery, that the panel recharged, and it works good on recharging phones, batteries etc.

If not in answer to your question, I'm out of my league again.

I own a Yeti lithium 1000, it was state of the art 5 years ago but there are better solutions now. You need to know your power requirements first, then look for solutions that fit your budget. I own a rockpals, couple energizer lithium’s, a bibene and a couple bluetti’s in addition to the goal zero They all serve a purpose and have helped us and family members during numerous power outages.

Remember that Yeti came out as being in support of the gun grabbing crowd a few years ago.
