Prep Genrl One prep to consider ....

For the most part, I had taken a break from here for the past month. Some days, I’d get online to try to “catch up” and skim as best I could. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to remind you of an important “prep” to consider ..... YOU!

YOU and your health are your best asset. Please don’t overlook it.

I’ve worked on me this summer. I’ve been eating healthier. I’ve been walking or running daily, and I’m feeling good. I had been overlooking myself. I’d been so focused on the physical prepping that needed to be done, that I didn’t spend time on myself like I needed to.

Balance is key.

Just thought I’d mention this in case others are feeling the same.

The mental health of taking daily walks in nature has been wonderful.

Yes, it’s VERY hot and humid. Yes, I go anyway (usually early in the day).

It’s been rewarding to try to take care of me a bit .... slow and steady ...

What helps my mental health more than anything else is to get away from all the doom and gloom for awhile. Taking walks helps a great deal, too. In the late afternoons, I relax, read a book, with a glass of wine, curled up in my favorite recliner. That helps to take my mind off the day's events.

For me, prepping is relaxing, not a chore that I feel I must do, but do so as more of a lifestyle.
