…… Oh Dobbin, I Found Something For You

Lol.

I don't imagine they come in sizes up to my "dishpan hooves" (Owner's term)

I'll take a look.

Ans: "Possibly available "custom made" around an existing commercial horse boot.

Contact Marcus to inquire about his one-of-a-kind custom sneaker services. Horse Kicks are built on a pre-made protective boot designed for horses. While we view these pieces as works of art, Horse Kicks are 100% wearable and can be fashioned around your favorite horse boot.

Um. I think Owner would consider it "frivolous" - and the price rules it out. Three years of horseshoeing in that price.

He would laugh at your thought - should he read it.

Thinking of me as you did on this - does this make me an "Internet Influencer?"

That SHOULD be scary to you. It could be to me except knowing my lean (promoter of the human spirit) I care not what the Regime thinks.

Interesting how they got the horse to "cross" its legs.

These are a dolled up version of "Easyboots". Easyboots have been around for at least 30 years - slip-on and crank down version of a hoof boot to take the place of a missing shoe/protect an injury, etc.

I looked at getting one for the front and one for the back at one time for my Standardbred driving horse, (spare tires!) because on long camping trips/long weekends, he'd wear his shoes down so paper thin that the nailheads would wear off and he'd lose shoes. Thought maybe the Easyboot would make a good emergency substitute..but after talking to people who tried them, they had very limited use. Even when properly sized, apparently don't stay on worth a darn.

Easyboots are good to have for hoof abscesses in the winter time when the mud is knee deep. They are hard to keep on though. And they probably make them to fit you Dobbin --- my draft horse wore a size 8 shoe and that used to be the biggest they made. About $45 for one, but I've had it awhile...
A lot of the seeing eye ponies in the UK wear some version of easy boots, but it's more of a traction device and to keep them for tearing up floors with ragged hooves...
