BREAKING: New Report Shows Detroit Used Defective Ballot Boxes In 2020 Election Despite Warning Stickers: “Not approved for use as a ballot container”…”You could shove papers right through the back of them”

By Patty McMurray

By now, most of America knows that when it comes to voting, Detroit is one of the most corrupt cities in America.

100 Percent Fed Up Exclusive – Thugs, which included paid election workers and scores of outside agitators at the TCF Center in Detroit, were used to distract, threaten, bully and intimidate GOP and Independent poll workers. At the same time, in the wee hours of the morning, boxes of ballots were delivered in an unmarked van filled with ballots that appeared in a back hallway of the largest absentee ballot counting center in Michigan.

After winning the election in 2016, Michigan residents witnessed Donald Trump’s popularity explode in their state. Rallies were larger, more Trump signs appeared in front yards across the state, and Trump flags and banners were everywhere.

Miles of boats lined up for Trump boat parades in the Great Lakes State. Trump, who could see the enthusiasm for his campaign exploding in Michigan, once again chose Grand Rapids, MI as his final campaign stop of the season. Cars lined up for over 6 miles to get into the venue, and once inside, Trump supporters waited in line for over one mile. Meanwhile, Joe Biden skipped the state in favor of campaigning from his basement.

Curiously, like several hotly contested major cities in states across America, Joe Biden managed to erase Donald Trump’s lead in Michigan on the day after the election that many Michiganders still believe was stolen. Immediately after the election, several groups of concerned citizens were formed for the purpose of getting to the truth about what happened in the 2020 election. One group, however, the Michigan Citizens for Election Integrity (MC4EI.com), has made incredible discoveries that should cause every American to pause and question the outcome of Michigan’s elections, especially in Detroit. 100 Percent Fed Up is working closely with their group and will be releasing its findings in a series of reports.

Here is Part I in a series of stunning reports from MC4EI:

Detroit used defective ballot boxes last November.

The Detroit Department of Elections, under the authority of City Clerk Janice Winfrey, allegedly used defective ballot boxes in the November 2020 elections.

This was reported to both legal counsels at the Wayne County Board of Canvassers and the Senate Oversight Committee, which recommended an investigation by the Secretary of State and the Attorney General. But none appears to have occurred, despite the fact that, under Michigan law, if a clerk is found guilty of using an unapproved ballot container in an election, it is a misdemeanor crime punishable by up to 90 days in jail.

The following is an excerpt from a soon-to-be-released report by Michigan Citizens for Election Integrity (www.MC4EI.com), entitled “TCF Timeline: the 2020 Detroit General Election”:
Both Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chair, Monica Palmer and her fellow GOP canvasser, Bill Hartmann, had been to the DOE (Detroit Department of Elections) in January before the elections to examine and approve 50 new ballot boxes (metal transfer cases in which ballots are stored from the election through the canvass). While there, Hartmann noticed the back end of one of the boxes caved in when he pressed against it. The spot welds attaching the back end or “back beam” to the frame had failed. “Where the seams are you could shove papers right through the back of them,” Palmer told a Senate Committee. Concerned, Hartmann decided to test the others. Soon the canvassers were going from box to box reaching inside and giving a good “slap” on the back end from the inside out. Hartman recalled dozens of boxes failed this simple test.
“None of the boxes had any markings on them. No company name or any indication of what company manufactured them.” -Bill Hartmann, member of GOP Wayne County Board of Canvassers

He found it peculiar that “none of the boxes had any markings on them. No company name or any indication of what company manufactured them.” He then examined the cardboard boxes they arrived in. Again, there was no indication of a manufacturer or even any printed wording. Since the boxes were defective and the chain of custody could easily be compromised by someone slipping ballots through the gaps at the back, the canvassers ordered them to be repaired or replaced followed by a second attempt at certification.

They recommended not using the same company due to its abysmal failure rate.

“The boxes were defective and the chain of custody easily compromised by someone slipping ballots through the gap in the back.”

So, when Palmer and Hartmann arrived at the counting board floor on Election Day, they were appalled to find boxes to which they themselves had affixed and signed stickers back in January warning: “Not approved for use as a ballot container.” Palmer testified to Senator Ed McBroom: “I did observe several counting boards that were using the unapproved containers.” She emailed the Canvassing Board’s legal counsel. Under Michigan law, a clerk using an unapproved container could be charged with a misdemeanor. She then asked the Senators: “How are these processes happening? Especially when we had the Secretary of State send oversight in there to help improve things.”

The image below shows a ballot box that was used on November 3, 2020 election with a sticker signed by Detroit Board of Canvassers Chair Monica Palmer that clearly states: Not Approved For Use As A Ballot Container

Here is close up shot of the warning sticker on the ballot box:

Could unscrupulous election staff remove what might serve as a false backing on a sealed metal ballot container and insert, remove or swap out ballots? If the above testimony and the photo accompanying this excerpt are any indication, that is a valid concern. And what is the name of the mystery company that supplies the Detroit Department of Elections with defective ballot containers?

“Where the seams are, you could shove papers right through the back of them.” -Wayne County Board of Canvassers Chair, Monica Palmer

Normally, at the close of the election, these ballot containers are sealed by the workers at the respective counting board, the seal numbers are recorded and, under Michigan law, are required to be signed by one Republican and one Democrat. A GOP challenger, alleges that, at the close of counting, the TCF Counting Board chief, Daniel Baxter asked for a handful of Republican poll workers to sign the seals on numerous ballot containers that they did not feel comfortable signing. This was due to the fact that they did not work at the counting boards where the ballot containers originated and therefore, could not attest to having any knowledge of what was in the containers, or as to whether chain of custody was still intact.
In order to understand the many gross irregularities and instances of official malfeasance that occurred at the TCF Center Absent Voter Counting Board (AVCB) in Detroit last November, it’s important to understand how the counting process works and how it deviated sharply from that process in 2020.

A “counting board” is the smallest unit of vote-counting capability for tallying absentee votes. Each one counts the ballots from 1-4 Detroit precincts. There were 134 counting boards inside the TCF Center. Each one consisted of an arrangement of tables in a square with 3-5 poll workers seated around the outside of the tables. During the count, they each take a separate step in processing the ballot. This typically includes: verifying it exists in the electronic poll book, verifying that the signature on the outer envelope matches that on file, matching the number on the ballot with the number on the envelope, removing the ballot from the outer envelope, and removing the ballot’s number stub. After processing, the ballot is then tabulated in a vote-counting computer.

Table #38 inside the TCF Center

It is important to understand that, before 2020, ballots were counted by inserting them into a large stand-alone tabulation machine located a few steps from the counting board, after which the ballot would drop into a bin enclosed inside the machine.

TCF-transfer-cases-longshot-740x872.png

The only time prior to the end of the vote count that the ballots might be removed from this tabulation machine would be in the event of a jam. If one occurred, the supervisor of perhaps 4-5 counting boards would arrive with a key, open the door on the side of the tabulation machine, straighten out the ballot jam and relock the door. Note that the ballots would typically remain inside this large tabulator, and the straightening out of the ballots would be done in full view of poll workers, observers, and challengers. The large tabulators themselves would remain in close proximity to the counting board throughout the election.

TCF-transfer-cases-longshot-with-Andre-and-Daniel-Baxter-740x629.png

This sensible and relatively secure arrangement changed in 2020. These large, locked, stand-alone tabulating machines were replaced with high-speed tabulators the approximate size of a desktop printer. Ballots were fed into these tabulators in batches of 50 and then moved to the appropriate metal ballot containers according to the precinct. In a bizarre arrangement that seems to defy logic, instead of these compact new tabulators being deployed on or near the counting board tables, thereby preserving proximity, “chain of custody,” and thus ballot security, they were taken to a location far away from the boards and lined up in a long row. As noted in TCF Timeline:

The tabulation of ballots was done away from the counting boards, thus breaking the chain of custody.

At the end of the day, a counting board team could not sign off on the final number of ballots they had processed since they were no longer in the team’s custody at the end of the shift or day, having been walked batch after batch through the chaos of the room to the tabulators.

The ballots were transported by a single poll worker through a gauntlet of people and tables in a massive, bustling room – over the size of a football field — and with no oversight. These ballot movements were not logged, and the ballots were not signed out. Thus, the chain of custody was broken, and at the end of the count, the poll workers at the counting boards could no longer attest that the ballots never left their custody. GOP challenger Eugene V. Dixon voiced his concern in an affidavit, stating that on Election Day at the TCF, he ……observed that the procedure for tabulating ballots included carrying stacks of 200 ballots to the tabulator area to be fed 50 at a time. Counted ballots would then go into metal bins near the tabulators. At one point, I noticed an election worker carry the metal bin containing tabulated ballots back to where the ballots were being picked up at the table. This would have easily allowed removing tabulated ballots from the container, adding them to the pile of yet-to-be tabulated ballots. When I complained to the supervisor – this practice stopped.

This new arrangement also contributed to the mixing up of ballots, many of which appear to have been placed in the wrong container following tabulation.

For example, in the August 4th, 2020 Detroit Primary election, 72 percent of the precincts were found by the Board of Canvassers to be out of balance – meaning the number of ballots in the ballot transfer cases didn’t match the number of ballots counted by the machines, as reflected in the tabulation computers’ final paper printout. As explained in “TCF Timeline: the 2020 Detroit General Election”:

Tabulation machines were placed at least 7 feet from the rows of metal transfer cases (ballot boxes), where ballots exiting each tabulator would end up following tabulation. GOP challengers were told to stay outside of the row of metal cases.

This created a subtle but effective barrier that served to keep most GOP challengers’ prying eyes far from tabulator jams and ballot over-counting. In addition, due to the distance of each transfer case from its respective tabulator, it is likely that ballots were occasionally placed in the wrong transfer cases, thus throwing that precinct “out of balance.” In fact, this was cited as one of the reasons for past Detroit precinct imbalances (over 70% in the August 2020 Primary).

Under Michigan law, this means there can be no hand recount of the ballots in the transfer case, i.e., if the number of ballots in the case does not equal the number listed on the tabulator tape, then the number on the tabulator tape stands. (MCL 168.871:

With a staggering 72 percent of counting boards out of balance (norms throughout the state are in the 1-3 percent range), the Wayne County Board of Canvassers requested assistance from the State of Michigan to sort things out and try to prevent it from happening again. Ultimately, this came in the form of the retired, long-time Director of the Michigan Bureau of Elections, Chris Thomas, who was hired to be City Clerk Janice Winfrey’s Senior Advisor. It is currently not clear whether the new ballot flow arrangement originated from Thomas and/or Special Project Consultant Daniel Baxter, a former Detroit Director of Elections. Regardless, when the Wayne County Board of Canvassers counted the number of ballots in each container and compared the number to the corresponding number of ballots listed on the tabulator tape, Detroit counting boards were once again out of balance by…70 percent.

Chris-Thomas-G.-Azzouz-and-D.-Baxter-A.-Gilbert-at-challenger-conference-649x900.png

Former MI Elections Director Chris Thomas (L), Detroit Director of Elections Daniel Baxter (R)

When the Board of Canvassers investigated the imbalances at the August 4th debacle, the explanation given was that many ballots had been placed in the wrong containers. If a poll worker walks 7 or 8 feet from a tabulator to the tightly-packed row of ballot containers, it’s conceivable that an occasional ballot meant for one precinct might end up in that of another, thus throwing off the count of two precincts, one having one ballot too many and the other having one ballot too few.

But rather than changing the location of the ballot containers to right next to the tabulators, the approximately 7-foot spacing was kept in place. When Daniel Baxter was asked at the October 29th, 2020 pre-election challenger conference inside the TCF Center, whether something was going to be done about the vulnerability of the container placement to accidental error, he acknowledged the issue but explained that the problem had been solved by adding extra workers, because the mistakes were caused by “stressed out” poll workers. He also added a “transmittal sheet” with the table numbers on them. Apparently, placing each ballot container right next to its assigned tabulator, instead of 7 or 8 feet away, was not an option.

When the debacle at the TCF Center last November is examined in detail, those legitimately concerned about election integrity must confront the following alarming developments:

Ballot boxes with gaps in them, used in the 2020 election, despite being stamped unfit for use

An unknown manufacturer of the boxes with an unacceptable failure rate

A new tabulator ballot flow arrangement seems to produce many precincts out of balance, yet officials do not fix this arrangement.

When a precinct is out of balance without explanation, a Michigan law favors the results on the tabulator tape over those on the paper ballots and prohibits the latter from being recounted.

The story of defective ballot boxes that were clearly marked: “Not approved for use” in the November election is the first in a series of many discoveries 100 Percent Fed Up will share with the public from the explosive and comprehensive report: “TCF Timeline: the 2020 Detroit General Election” prepared by the Michigan Citizens for Election Integrity (MC4EI.com).

Hi Jim, I live in Albany County New York. Yesterday I visited my county elections website and typed in my address to verify where we are supposed to vote.

Here is the link: Albany County, NY Voter Information: Where to vote, sample ballots, and more!

Then I typed in my address. It then brings up a link to view my sample ballot:
I thought it was odd to have Democrats running as democrats and also as conservatives. Seems misleading to voters.
They may have done this before, i just never noticed.

Lindsey Graham Reportedly Called for Officers to Murder Jan. 6 Protesters: ‘You’ve Got Guns… Use Them’

By Cassandra Fairbanks

Senator Lindsey Graham reportedly called for law enforcement to murder Trump supporters who were protesting on January 6th.

The shocking allegation was mentioned in an article in the Washington Post about the timeline of events on that day.

In a portion about how lawmakers had to shelter in place when protesters breached the building, the paper describes Graham urging the Senate’s sergeant-at-arms to use guns against the members of his own party.
The Senate and House leaders also had been evacuated by Capitol Police and taken to an undisclosed location, but many lawmakers remained in their chambers for a few minutes before they were led to safety in the Hart Senate Office Building. Sen. Lindsey O. Graham was irate that senators were forced to flee their own chamber. He yelled at the Senate sergeant-at-arms. “What are you doing? Take back the Senate! You’ve got guns. Use them.” The South Carolina senator was adamant. “We give you guns for a reason,” he repeated. “Use them.”
Ashli Babbitt was an unarmed Air Force veteran who was shot at close range by a Capitol Police officer during the protest. Her killer will not be charged.

Angry Michigan Voters Confront Macomb County Clerk over Election Results Nearly a Year After 2020 Election – Demand Audit (Video)

By Jim Hoft
Published November 1, 2021 at 8:10am
forlini-macomb.jpg

Michigan residents attended a meeting on Saturday with Macomb County Clerk Anthony Forlini.

The entire event was captured on video.

The constituents are still irate with the election process in Michigan nearly a year following the 2020 election.

https://www.facebook.com/4e8345ae-2020-48d0-a43d-4d5d56b57170 1:19:26 min

Michigan state representative candidate Mellissa Carone attended the meeting and wrote this up following the meeting.
Michigan voters arrive at a meeting frustrated, to make inquiries to their elected officials, only to get nonanswers, or no answers, and leave more upset than when they arrived. Voters from around the country, much like those in Macomb County, continue to demand our elected officials perform a full forensic audit into the 2020 presidential election. Michelle Smith brought Macome County Clerk Anthony Forlini in for a meeting with citizens after requests for the clerk to speak with voters for several months.

Forlini stumbled through his initial presentation before taking questions from voters. When Mellissa Carone was given an opportunity to speak she cited an excerpt from Michigan Election Law Act 116 168.870 “Board of canvassers; investigation of recount.’
‘For the purpose of such investigation, the clerk, if no meeting be already appointed, shall call a meeting of such board of canvassers and the said board shall have power to issue subpoenas requiring the person in charge thereof to bring before it the ballot boxes used in the election precinct or precincts referred to in the petition, as well as the poll lists, tally sheets, statements of returns and such other documents or reports as may be deemed necessary. Said board shall safely guard such ballots, poll lists, tally sheets and returns and when no longer required shall deliver them to the officials charged with the custody thereof. Whoever, being so subpoenaed, shall fail to appear or shall fail to produce any such box, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor. The persons who are required to appear before the board of canvassers shall be paid the same fees and mileage as are paid circuit court witness in the county.

They shall be paid by the political subdivision before whose board of canvassers they appear.”
In summary, the law states it is the clerk’s responsibility to call a meeting with the board of canvassers to subpoena election materials to perform an audit.
Forlini’s response, as expected, was one of complete subversion.

Forlini stated it was the first time he had heard of such law, which was quickly disputed by many within the meeting, informing him that they had sent the law to him on several occasions with no response. This was disappointing to the attendees at the meeting to say the least.

Many at the meeting, were reportedly upset that they were the ones informing their clerk on election law. Several officials were derelict in their duties over the past year.

The entire meeting was much of the same we have become accustomed to since the November election. Citizens are increasingly upset about the lack of action by our elected officials. Forlini at one point, referred to how difficult following the law would be in this case.

Voters have been asking for this to happen since November, and election materials are retained for 22 months following the election, for this exact situation.

Many other answerswere incoherent and attendees were cut off by the moderator Michelle Smith, if she even allowed the citizens to complete their question at all.

We need a forensic audit performed, the citizens will have to continue to demand it be done, in larger numbers and more frequently than we have been. If we do not find out what happened in our 2020 election, and make corrections, then we will live through the consequences like we have over the past year.

I can understand the frustration with Mr. Forlini. Given a look at his website (why does a private individual serving a public position merit his own website?) Anthony G. Forlini - Anthony Forlini Macomb County Clerk one reads it as if butter wouldn't melt in his mouth.

So honest, so accurate, so above reproach.

Of course WHY would anyone with such high ideals as he CLAIMS stand in the way of a Forensic Audit UNLESS they had something to cover up?

I'm sure if asked he will deny standing in the way of an audit - and then slow walk all the way to the bathroom where he flushes the signed affidavits down the toilet.

"What affidavits? I'm sorry. Did I have affidavits in my hand?"

BREAKING: Former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes Interrogated In 2020 Election Investigation

By Jordan Conradson
Published November 1, 2021 at 5:27pm

Former Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich has opened a formal criminal investigation into the fraudulent 2020 election and his office is now examining the suspects.

The Gateway Pundit reported that Mark Brnovich is still awaiting the router and Splunk log analysis but he is digging deeper to “hold people accountable for breaking the law”, according to Arizona Senate President Karen Fann.

The Arizona audit proved that election laws were violated and as a result, hundreds of thousands of ballots are now in question.

The citizen-led canvass of Maricopa County voters revealed there were hundreds of thousands more “ghost votes and lost votes.”

The Elections Management Server was connected to the internet and election files were deleted from the Elections Management Server.

This was all in Maricopa County, alone. Joe Biden was declared the winner of Arizona by a margin of fewer than 10,500 votes.

All of these election determining discrepancies have been denied since election day, all while they threw the stolen election in our faces and declared it was the “most secure election in American history.”

A patriot shared their summary of Arizona Central’s report, which details Adrian Fontes’ interrogation by Roger Geisler, a special agent with Brnovich’s major-fraud unit.

1635823727776.png

AZ Central reports,
Roger Geisler, a special agent with Brnovich’s major-fraud unit, questioned Adrian Fontes, the Democratic former Maricopa County recorder, on Monday about issues stemming from the election.
Another investigator also attended the one-hour interview of Fontes, arranged late last week by Geisler.

The interview, Fontes told The Arizona Republic, is unlike any briefings he had with law enforcement officials during his four years as recorder, and did not suggest he was the target of a criminal probe. Fontes is a lawyer and a former member of the Attorney General’s Office who is seeking the Democratic nomination for Secretary of State next year.

Last week, attorney general officials told The Republic it had not received any written complaints of election fraud from the Trump campaign, Trump’s lawyer, or key figures from his reelection campaign. Officials did not respond when asked repeatedly whether the office had received any verbal requests.

The investigators seemed to be taking up issues raised by Cyber Ninjas, the Florida-based company that conducted the ballot review for the Senate, Fontes said.

“They are going down the Cyber Ninja rabbit hole,” Fontes said afterward. He added, “It’s incredibly troubling that a prosecutor would send two agents out to try to bolster the ‘Big Lie,'” a reference to Trump’s unfounded assertions that widespread fraud led to his loss against Democrat Joe Biden.

In an email seeking time with Fontes, Geisler said he “would like to know about the election preparation and execution. What some of the difficulties were and what worked well.”

Investigators questioned Fontes about some of the questions raised during the ballot review of 2.1 million ballots in Maricopa County from the 2020 election and zeroed in on the timing of archiving for computerized election records. Fontes said they did not seem to understand the basics of election administration.

In a letter to Brnovich on Sept. 24, Fann said there were several “urgent issues” that needed to be followed up on. Those included the signature verification process for absentee ballots, the maintenance of voter rolls, election technology and machinery, and preservation of election-related information to be used for future audits, if warranted.
Fontes found this law enforcement encounter “incredibly troubling”.

1635823809544.png

This is a statewide investigation and we may see a more thorough investigation into Pima County, where multiple precincts had over 100% voter turnout and 35,000 possibly fictitious votes were discovered.

File your Arizona election complaints with the Arizona Attorney General’s office here.

The ball is rolling in Arizona.

Wisconsin’s Racine County’s GOP now is getting in the act. Over 23,000 voters were identified with the same phone number and over 4,000 with the same registration date of 1/1/1918.

The Racine GOP is now getting in the act. They too have identified over 23,00o voters in the 2020 Election, all with the same phone number and another 4,000 voters with the same registration date of 1/1/1918. These numbers don’t make sense.

These numbers also agree with the work performed by Wisconsin HOT that we reported on in September.

In addition, the Sheriff in Racine uncovered an elderly voting scheme where nursing homes were targeted and votes harvested from the elderly in these homes without their consent.

Joe Biden was awarded the state of Wisconsin by 20,000 votes. Over 140,000 votes for Joe Biden alone were dropped on Election Night early in the morning.

This was impossible and therefore fraudulent.

Tucker Carlson Begins Series on How Jan 6 Was Instigated by Federal Provocateur’s and Leftwing Radicals – Something TGP Reported Months Ago

By Joe Hoft
Published November 1, 2021 at 8:35pm

It’s never too late to tell the truth.
Tucker Carlson is reporting this week on the January 6 protests in a FOX Nation Special. Carlson argues that there were ‘agent provocateurs’ embedded with the Trump supporters that day.
The January 6 MAGA riot was was instigated by left-wing ‘agents provocateurs,’ including Insurgence USA founder John Sullivan, who revved up the crowd to storm the Capitol barricades and trample over police officers, experts told Tucker Carlson.

Sullivan, who has pleaded not guilty to eight charges and is scheduled for a court hearing in January, filmed the fatal police shooting of Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt as she tried to climb through a broken door leading to the Speaker’s Lobby.
We reported on John Sullivan on January 14th, nearly 10 months ago.
Sullivan bragged about his actions and preplanning on January 6th.

Sullivan also was with a photojournalist that day who cheered, “We did it,” during the protests at the US Capitol.

Who is the “we” he was talking about? Was it the Antifa rioters he is connected to or was it the Feds and intel operatives who were operating that day in the massive Trump crowds

Sullivan was paid for his work by CNN and NBC.

Trump’s team noted that Sullivan was a member of Antifa during the corrupt second impeachment of Trump.

And John Sullivan announced an Antifa rally before the siege on the US Capitol.

He posted it on his social media accounts. What happened to all of his cohorts?

We reported on this on January 9th.

As we learn more and more about the protests it is clear that it was all a setup. We’ve known that for a while.

Democrats Are Using The Same 2020 Election Shenanigans To Overtake Virginia This Year

So how do Democrats plan to ensure they win Virginia’s elections, from the governorship to its U.S. Senate seat? By using the same tactics they used in the 2020 contest nationwide.

Hayden Ludwig

By Hayden Ludwig
NOVEMBER 1, 2021

Virginia’s hotly contested gubernatorial race is just days away, and with Republican Glenn Youngkin and former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe tied in the polls, the professional left isn’t leaving anything to chance. A McAuliffe defeat is largely considered a bellwether for congressional Democrats in the 2022 midterms.

So how do Democrats plan to ensure a McAuliffe win and a subsequent retention of power in the state and U.S. Senate? By using the same tactic they used in the 2020 national contest: profligate mail-in voting and fake grassroots get-out-the-vote efforts funding by philanthropies and wealthy leftists, a strategy revealed through Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s gift to the Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL).

And it’s a smart strategy. Joe Biden voters were twice as likely as Donald Trump voters to vote by mail in 2020, for example; and we know the effect of Zuckerberg’s millions on the 2020 election. The Capital Research Center specializes in exposing the activists behind these efforts. Here’s what we’ve discovered about the funding and activists behind them.

Getting Out the Vote for Democrats
Vote Forward is one of the get-out-the-vote (GOTV) groups swamping Virginians with a letter practically begging them to vote early. Here’s my copy:

Vote-Forward-2021-Mailer-Redacted-1186x1536-1-644x834-1.png

Vote Forward is ostensibly nonpartisan—until you look at its original website from 2018, which reads “Flip the House Blue: Send letters to unlikely voters.”

Elsewhere, the group admits it was founded to send “get-out-the-vote” mailers to “traditionally underrepresented communities,” code for Democrat-leaning constituencies.

The New York Times praised Vote Forward’s goal of boosting Democrat turnout just one week before the 2020 election. An old FAQ states that many of its campaigns “typically target low-propensity voters who we believe are likely to vote for Democrats when they do cast a ballot.”

In 2020, that target was 10 million voters. To make that happen, Vote Forward sued the U.S. Postal Service, accusing Postmaster General Louis DeJoy—a Trump nominee—of “undermin[ing] USPS’s ability to ensure the on-time delivery of mail ballots” in the 2020 election. The details of their settlement remain unclear, but USPS agreed to deliver mail-in ballots in time for Georgia’s January special election, the result of which ultimately handed Democrats control of the U.S. Senate.

Like many organizations that present themselves as more interested in voting than election outcomes, Vote Forward is part of the Left’s Voting Machine: A massive web of interconnected GOTV nonprofits commanding tens of millions of dollars, mostly gifted by ultra-wealthy institutions like the Ford, Gates, and Rockefeller Foundations.

We’ve traced more than $600,000 flowing to Vote Forward from the Hopewell Fund, part of a $731 million “dark money” network run by the consultancy Arabella Advisors in Washington, DC. After studying this network for years, it’s become clear to us that wherever Arabella is involved, one is sure to find the left’s top operatives as well.

For example, Vote Forward’s board includes Ezra Reese, a partner at Perkins Coie and its Marc Elias-led spin-off (the Elias Law Group) “focused on electing Democrats, supporting voting rights, and helping progressives make change”—a fact you won’t find advertised on the “nonpartisan” group’s website. Perkins Coie is the left’s law firm of choice. Elias was general counsel to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign and a partisan operative whose past dealings include George Soros-funded efforts to abolish voter ID laws.

A Flood of Mail-In Ballots
In September, I reported on a new wave of 2 million applications for Virginians to register for absentee ballots in 2021. These applications weren’t sent out by state or local elections officials, but by politically active nonprofits: the Voter Participation Center and Center for Voter Information (collectively “the center”). An internal memo details the spots they planned to cover most aggressively, many of which parallel Biden’s performance in 2020.

The center explicitly targeted the “New American Majority,” another code for likely Democratic voters that they define as “young people, people of color and unmarried women.” That bloc contains 73 percent of all unregistered voters nationwide, which is why the left-wing strategists at the Democracy Alliance consider their turnout “central to progressive long-term success.”

The IRS requires all nonprofits be officially nonpartisan in order to be tax exempt. In the center’s case, nonpartisanship comes in the shape of a fig leaf—as liberal journalist Sasha Issenberg explains in his 2012 book, The Victory Lab: The Secret Science of Winning Campaigns: “Even though the group was officially nonpartisan, for tax purposes, there was no secret that the goal of all its efforts was to generate new votes for Democrats” (emphasis added).

The center sent out 15 million vote-by-mail applications in 2020 and registered 4.6 million new voters. Time credits the center’s partisan registration efforts as central to the “shadow campaign that saved the 2020 election” for Biden. No surprise that the center is heavily funded by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), AFL-CIO, Sierra Club, League of Conservation Voters, and Tides Foundation.

Will Zuck Bucks Continue?
We were among the first to report in-depth on how billionaire Zuckerberg and the little-known Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) spent $350 million to effectively privatize the 2020 election in battleground states, helping turnout for Biden in the name of COVID-19 “relief.”

Overnight, this little nonprofit’s revenues grew by more than 12,000 percent from $2.8 million thanks to Zuckerberg’s cash injection—fueling its “nonpartisan,” “charitable” façade to elections officials and helping Democrat turnout in precisely the spots Biden needed to win the presidency.

Across nine states, our data shows that CTCL’s grants consistently ignored Trump counties in favor of big, Democratic-leaning spots like Philadelphia, Maricopa County, and Houston—all essential to Biden’s victory. In Georgia, for instance, Biden counties were two-and-a-half times more likely to receive CTCL funding than Trump counties.

Virginia received close to $4 million in Zuck Bucks, more than one-third of which went to populous Fairfax County to “support in-person early voting” and “vote by mail.” Fairfax County was Biden’s biggest vote-haul in the state and is the linchpin to McAuliffe’s strategy.

Nearly $970,000 paid for “temporary staffing support” to bolster Fairfax County’s elections agency. That may sound innocuous, but as CTCL expert William Doyle recently wrote at this site, that funding “supported the infiltration of election offices by paid Democratic Party activists.”
[CTCL] funded self-described ‘vote navigators’ in Wisconsin to ‘assist voters, potentially at their front doors, to answer questions, assist in ballot curing … and witness absentee ballot signatures,’ and a temporary staffing agency affiliated with Stacey Abrams called ‘Happy Faces’ counting the votes amidst the election night chaos in Fulton County, Georgia.
Fairfax County applied for an extension to its CTCL grant in January, but ultimately returned its remaining $187,709 in April, spokesman Brian Worthy told me. To his knowledge, the county has not applied for another grant for the 2021 election. That’s a good start, but to save the integrity of our elections, Zuck Bucks need to be banned. No exceptions.

There’s no faster way to destroy what remaining trust Americans have in their elections than by giving them to the highest bidder. Private funding of elections would take us back to the worst of the 19th century robber barons, when rich political machines won elections by buying public officials and intimidating voters. It also presents opportunities for foreign interests to manipulate our politics and undermine American sovereignty.

It’s unknown how much CTCL money remains in Virginia or if the group has continued to make grants here. Neighboring Fairfax City reports $14,175 in CTCL funds leftover for the 2021 election.

CTCL has been surprisingly mum about the ongoing election considering how loudly it advertised open-ended grants to Georgia counties in January. It’s possible that the dozens of exposés, hundreds of critical news articles, flurry of state Zuck Buck bans, and an inquiry from furious congressional Republicans silenced the leftists running CTCL.

Or maybe not. A recent CTCL statement calls lawsuits against its grants program “frivolous” and its funding “equitable,” particularly in small counties with small elections budgets.

Today’s left has cynically embraced Zuck Bucks out of short-term thinking, believing like NPR that “private money from Facebook’s CEO saved the 2020 election.” That’s a losing hand. Americans can see that the same leftists who’ve now embraced plutocracy were just yesterday crying “eat the rich” and “abolish billionaires.” Close to a dozen states have already banned Zuck Bucks and grassroots groups are leading a national movement to audit the 2020 election and save the country.

Leftists believed the country would overlook their desperate indiscretions, claiming—as CTCL does—that Zuckerberg’s unprecedented spending spree somehow made 2020 “the most secure election in U.S. history.” We’ll know even more in December, when CTCL releases its IRS Form 990 filing to the public. If coming revelations are anything like observers expect, that claim will age about as well as milk.

IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN – Judge In Virginia Dismisses Case – Allows Fairfax County to Include Absentee and Mail-In Ballots in Governor Election that Violate the Law

By Joe Hoft
Published November 2, 2021 at 7:30am

Some things never change. Judges that won’t do what’s just and Democrats who steal elections.

We reported previously that Virginia was not requiring the last 4 digits of social security numbers on absentee ballots. This is in direct violation of the law.

This comes from the same county that had over 300,000 ballots dropped for Joe Biden on election night while only 30,000 dropped for Trump – Three times!

So a voter group, not the Republican Party, sued to prevent these ballots from being used in the election – they are not legal. And the judge dismisses the case.
A Virginia judge has dismissed a lawsuit claiming that Virginia’s most populous county improperly accepted applications for absentee ballots.

A lawsuit filed last week by the Virginia Institute for Public Policy said the Fairfax County Office of Elections accepted applications for absentee and mail-in ballots without the last four digits of applicants’ Social Security numbers in violation of Virginia law.

The Fairfax County Office of Elections argued that Virginia law stipulates that such a challenge can only be brought by an “aggrieved voter,” the candidate for office, the candidate’s campaign, or the chairman of the candidate’s political party.

Judge Michael Devine on Friday found that the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, as a nonprofit organization, lacked the standing to sue.
A statement from the Public Interest Legal Foundation , which represented the Virginia Institute for Public Policy, said the lawsuit was an “important deterrent for the other Virginia counties to abide by the law.”
Another election with scared and weak judges and corrupt Democrats backing a corrupt candidate.

REPORT: Poll Workers Are Telling Virginia Voters They Can’t Vote without a Face Mask

By Cristina Laila

McAuliffe-and-Youngkin.jpg

It’s Election Day in Virginia which means the Democrats are pulling out all the stops to cheat their way into a win as polls show Republican Youngkin ahead of Democrat McAuliffe.

There have been several reports from voters who claim they are being told by poll workers they are required to wear a mask in order to vote.

There is no mask mandate in Virginia and it would be against the law to require a person wear a face mask in order to vote.

This is voter intimidation.

1635882757432.png

Mark Hemingway, a Senior writer at RealClearInvestigations received a text message revealing some polling locations are asking voters to wear a mask in order to vote.

1635882661449.png1635882704312.png

To add to these Election Day shenanigans, a corrupt judge in Virginia is allowing Fairfax County to include mail-in ballots and absentee ballots that violate the law.

Scott O. Konopasek, the radical partisan director of elections for the most populated county in Virginia, recently told mainstream media outlets that the Virginia governor’s race may not be decided on election day.

It appears Democrats are up to their old tricks again.

A former Drug Enforcement Agency official faces up to 15 years in prison over the January 6 riot at the US Capitol, despite his insistence that he never entered the building.

Mark Ibrahim, an Army veteran who was fired from the DEA over his participation in the events of January 6, spoke out in Tuesday's episode of Fox News host Tucker Carlson's series on the fallout from the riot.

Ibrahim made the explosive claim that he was invited to attend Donald Trump's 'Stop The Steal' rally by an FBI informant he knew from his military service, who subsequently urged him to join the mob breaking into the Capitol, which he refused.

Carlson claimed to have confirmed this by speaking to the alleged informant, whom he did not name. His controversial series 'Patriot Purge' on the streaming service Fox Nation has drawn strong reactions for depicting the law enforcement response to the riot as a political purge.

Federal prosecutors accuse Ibrahim of bringing his duty weapon and badge to the Capitol grounds and brazenly displaying them, and of illegally climbing on a monument to deliver a 'monologue,' according to charging documents.

'They labeled me a domestic terrorist, I just want to see peace and unity,' Ibrahim said in the new interview.

'Because I've seen it in foreign countries, between Sunni and Shia, open violence in the streets. It's a sad and scary thing,' he said, referring to opposing religious factions in the Muslim world.

'I'm afraid that if this division and dehumanizing continues, that's where America is headed, and I pray that never happens,' Ibrahim said.

Ibrahim is charged with making false statements to federal agents, entering restricted grounds with a firearm, injuring or climbing on a statue, and carrying a firearm on Capitol grounds.

The episode also features interviews with two women whose actions on January 6 generated public controversy, though neither has been criminally charged.
Emily Grace Rainey was serving as an Army captain assigned to the 4th Psychological Operations Group at Fort Bragg when she led a group of 100 members of Moore County Citizens for Freedom, which describes itself online as a nonpartisan network promoting conservative values, to the Washington rally to "stand against election fraud" and support Trump.

Rainey says the group consisted mostly of 'grandmothers,' but that she was accused of leading an armed 'militia' to the Capitol, which she insists she never entered.

The Pentagon launched an investigation into Rainey's actions and she submitted her resignation in September, saying she was pressured out after her clearance was revoked.

'I went and I saw my commander in chief at my nation's capital, took a hundred of my friends, and they ostensibly ruined my career had I wanted to stay,' she said.

Rainey claimed in the interview with Carlson that the events of January 6 could have been a 'false flag', or a conspiracy on the left to make Trump's supporters look bad.

'It is my opinion that false flags have happened in this country, one of which may have been January 6,' said Rainey. 'If that was an insurrection, it was the most poorly conducted insurrection ever'

'The term extremism is being kept nebulous for a reason,' she said in the interview. 'It's so that there is grey area and they can use the term as they like against the people that they like to use it against. Me, for example.'

Referring to her training as a psychological warfare officer, Rainey painted a dark picture of the crackdown on domestic extremism following the deadly riot.
'Fear is one of the biggest tactics used in psychological operations. So what we're seeing is fear being used to manipulate the military, to see millions of Americans as domestic terrorists, and to try to just silence people,' she said.

So far nearly 700 people have been charged in connection with the January 6 riot.

Carlson's documentary generated strong reaction even before its first episode was streamed in full on Monday.

Critics of Carlson demanded that the show not be aired, accusing the Fox News host of 'incitement.'

Alexander Vindman, the former Army officer who testified during the impeachment hearings against Trump, said of Carlson: 'He is an anarchist; an arsonist of American democracy.

'How is this different than yelling fire in a crowded theater? Carlson is attempting to incite a riotous mob.

'He should be [censored]. I’d like to hear the arguments for/against this being protected speech.'

Jared Holt also made the comparison to Jones, tweeting: 'Alex Jones doesn't need to exist any more because the Murdoch family has filled that spot and tossed god knows how much money behind it.'

Oliver Darcy, a media reporter for CNN, added: 'It is seriously difficult at this point to see much daylight between Tucker Carlson and Alex Jones.'

Darcy tweeted: 'Make no mistake, Tucker is the face of Fox News. It's not just him engaging in this dishonest lunacy.

'It's the network, led by Suzanne Scott & Rupert/Lachlan Murdoch, that is responsible for green lighting and mainlining this 1/6 trutherism.

Charlie Warzel also tweeted that that the country's 'most popular cable news personality' is 'putting out...basically...infowars.'

Congresswoman Liz Cheney, a Republican who voted to impeach Trump and blamed the former president for inciting the rioters on January 6, tweeted: 'It appears that @FoxNews is giving @TuckerCarlson a platform to spread the same type of lies that provoked violence on January 6. As @FoxNews knows, the election wasn’t stolen and January 6 was not a "false flag" operation.'

In her tweet, Cheney tagged Fox executives including Murdoch, Jay Wallace, and Suzanne Scott. She also tagged former House Speaker Paul Ryan.

Another anti-Trump Republican, outgoing Congressman Adam Kinzinger, tweeted: 'Anyone working for @FoxNews must speak out.

'This is disgusting. It appears @foxnews isn’t even pretending anymore.'

Jonathan Greenblatt, the head of the Anti-Defamation League, posted a letter he wrote to Fox News about Carlson's documentary, which he referred to in quotes.

Greenblatt wrote that Carlson's series is 'nothing short of absurd and it will continue to fan the flames of extremists and conspiracy theorists.'

'This is dangerous, and it's no surprise that Tucker Carlson is leading the charge bringing fringe ideas to the masses.'

Virginia GOP: Voters incorrectly being told at polling locations masks must be worn to vote

Virginia GOP tweeted: "If someone is not wearing a face covering they may NOT be turned away or refused their right to vote

Updated: November 2, 2021 - 2:55pm

The Virginia Republican Party said Tuesday that some voters are incorrectly being told at some polling locations in the state that a mask must be worn – as residents cast ballots on a slate of contests including the state's high-profile governor's race.

"There have been several reports from voters who say they were told by poll workers that they are required to wear a mask in order to vote," read a tweet from the Virginia GOP account. "To be clear, if someone is not wearing a face covering they may NOT be turned away or refused their right to vote."

Another tweet on the account reads: "Masks are NOT required to vote. There is no mask mandate in Virginia."

A senior editor at the Washington Free Beacon said that he was told to wear a mask to vote in Virginia.

"Poll workers demanded I mask up in order to vote. At no point did they ask to see my face to see if it matched the ID. Seems legit," he wrote.

The Legal Defense Fund addressed the mask issue on social media as well.

"Masks are encouraged but not required at polling sites in Virginia. If you forgot your mask, you should not be turned away for not having a mask," the organization wrote. "You should either request one from your polling place or request to vote curbside."

Conservative columnist Charles Hurt said local officials requiring masks to vote in Virginia is a voter suppression tactic.

"To be clear, this is illegal voter suppression," he wrote. "You may vote at any polling place in Virginia – even in schools – with or without a mask no matter what local election officials tell you."

Matt Schlapp, chairman of the American Conservative Union, said he was told a mask is required to vote, contrary to guidance from the Virginia Department of Elections.

"I was told at my polling station I couldn’t vote without a mask," he wrote. "Knowing what the GOP thinks about masks, isn’t this just an illegal barrier to voting? But I can count on one thing our judges will do nothing."

Trump ally Roger Stone teases run for Florida governor if DeSantis doesn't call for election audit

The Florida GOP governor says automatic post-election audit show of 2020 "passed with flying colors'

Updated: November 2, 2021 - 2:08pm

Former President Trump adviser Roger Stone says he's considering a bid for Florida governor if GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis doesn't conduct an audit of the state's 2020 election results.

Stone tweeted that he would challenge DeSantis next year as a Libertarian candidate.

"If Florida governor Ron DeSantis does not order an audit of the 2020 election to expose the fact that there are over 1 million phantom voters on the Florida voter rolls in the Sunshine state I may be forced to seek the Libertarian party nomination for governor Florida in 2022," he posted.

In a separate Twitter post, Stone reiterated the unsubstantiated claim that last election's election in Florida was riddled with fake voters, according to Newsweek.

"I heard governor Ron DeSantis say that Florida had the most honest election in our history in 2020 yet I know for certain there are 1 million phantom voters in the Florida voter rolls. These 'voters' simply do not exist," he said.

DeSantis has been steadfast that Florida is not planning to conduct an audit, despite growing calls from fellow Republicans to do so and GOP legislators in such states as Arizona, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin either considering one or amid conducting one.

Trump won Florida with 51.2% of the vote, but some Republicans still insist the results should be reviewed.

"It's not about margin of victory," says Florida GOP state Rep. Anthony Sabatini, who sponsored a bill calling for the audit. "The fact is that people want total verification of the election results. They want an independent review of the votes."

DeSantis said several weeks ago that an automatic audit already occurred after initial voting.

"What we do in Florida is, there's a pre- and post-election audit that happens automatically," DeSantis said, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "So, that has happened. It passed with flying colors in terms of how that's going."

He also argued that Florida has already made efforts to improve voting integrity including stricter voter ID for mail-in ballots. However, the law is being challenged in court on the argument it restricts minority voting.

Florida Secretary of State Laurel Lee, a Republican appointed by DeSantis, also said this month that there was no need to do an audit in the state, Newsweek also reports.

VA Governor Race Called For Republican Youngkin
TUESDAY, NOV 02, 2021 - 08:45 PM
With over 70% of the votes counted, Decision Desk has called the race for Republican newcomer Glenn Youngkin who holds a 9 pts lead over Democratic Terry McAuliffe.

Update (2030ET): In a somewhat stunning - yet completely predictable - turn of events, Fairfax County - the largest and most prosperous in the state - has reportedly missed its self-imposed deadline to count early ballots.

Terry McAuliffe’s campaign says Fairfax County will not meet their self-imposed deadline of 8pm to count early votes. A portion of the early votes in Fairfax County need to be rescanned and there is no set timeline for that yet.
His staff says that could delay the results.

Update (2000ET): Voter turnout is reportedly very strong, on track to break 3 million votes, exceeding the 2017 record:

1635914035206.png

Notably, Virginia tends to punish the president’s party. In the last 12 Virginia gubernatorial elections, the president’s party has won only once.

Obviously, a Youngkin win would be a boost for Republican prospects to take control of both chambers of Congress.

* * *
Today is the last day for Virginians to vote in what has become an unexpectedly close race for governor between former Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe and newcomer Republican candidate, Glenn Youngkin - who has gained considerable ground in recent days.

Political watchers across the country are keeping tabs on this year's race as a proxy for the political mood, as the outcome may offer insight into what might be ahead for both parties in the 2022 midterm elections.

From the beginning, Democrats expected McAuliffe to coast into the Governor's mansion in a state which saw Biden beat Trump by 10 points in the last election - yet Youngkin has gained massive ground after focusing on parents' anger over schools - which includes pandemic mandates and critical race theory. McAuliffe, meanwhile, said during a debate with Youngkin "I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach," a decidedly poor move.
McAuliffe’s campaign has faltered amid anecdotal accounts of an apathetic Democratic voter base. Biden’s standing in the commonwealth is mediocre, with his approval rating in the low 40s in several polls.
The upshot is that Youngkin appears to have the momentum going into Election Day on Tuesday. The level of enthusiasm at recent campaign events has been tangibly greater for Youngkin, even in the Democratic-leaning Northern Virginia suburbs. -The Hill
Meanwhile, the University of Virginia's Center for Politics has shifted its opinion of the race from "leans Democratic" to "leans Republican."
“Youngkin has the enthusiasm, the environment, the history, and perhaps even the issues (given his focus on education and its increasing salience in polling). McAuliffe has the state’s Democratic lean in his favor. However, we do feel we owe it to readers to push this race one way or the other and not just move it to a Toss-Up rating at the end. So we’re moving from Leans Democratic to Leans Republican.”
PredictIt has Youngkin with a significant lead.

The shift comes after McAuliffe spent considerable time pressing his Democratic colleagues on Capitol Hill to pass two major bills in order to show that Democrats are able to capitalize on their slim majority in Congress - yet fighting within the party has resulted in a political quagmire.

And as the New York Post notes, what's going on in Virginia may be part of a 30-year political epicycle in which a Democrat wins the White House and then 'lurches left' - causing a backlash that reverberates to off-year elections in Virginia and New Jersey.
In 1993 it was Bill Clinton, who ran for office as a “new kind of Democrat,” promising to “end welfare as we know it” and pledging not to raise taxes on the middle class. Instead Clinton moved left, dumping his welfare reform promise in favor of an unpopular nationalized health care scheme that a Democratic Congress never even put to a vote, raising taxes on the middle class, and promoting the boutique liberal cause of gays in the military (though ultimately settling for the muddle of “don’t ask, don’t tell”).

Republicans swept the governors’ races in Virginia and New Jersey in 1993 and made large gains in both state legislatures, previewing the GOP landslides in the House and Senate in 1994, when Republicans gained 54 seats in the House for their first House majority in 40 years, and eight seats in the Senate that also gave the GOP a majority. Clinton immediately tacked to the center and remained there for the rest of his presidency.
The pattern repeated itself in 2009 following Barack Obama's sharp left turn from the vague platform of "hope and change," leading to Republicans to once again capture the governorships of Virginia and New Jersey that year.

A win for Youngkin would be a massive boost to Republicans nationwide - and would add to President Biden's woes which include failing approval ratings, supply chain issues, inflation, and absolute chaos trying to get his legislative agenda passed.

As The Hill's Niall Stanage notes, "Even a narrow win for Democrats in Virginia would likely not be enough to calm the party’s nerves as it looks towards next year’s midterm elections — and beyond, to the 2024 presidential election where they fear the specter of Trump will be resurrected."

Buyer's Remorse: Americans repudiate leftward drift on cops, schools and economy
Trump base fuses with suburbanites to send unmistakable message to Democrats as Biden coalition frays.

Updated: November 3, 2021 - 1:04am

From local school boards to the marquee Virginia governor's race, restless American voters on Tuesday used an off-year election to send an unmistakable message that their country has drifted too far left on issues like education, defunding police and the economy and beckoned both parties to take note as the pivotal 2022 elections put control of Congress up for grabs.

Republican Glenn Youngkin's win in the Virginia governor's race, Minneapolis' clear rejection of a plan to disband its police department and the election of law-and-order candidates like former police officer Eric Adams in New York City restored more moderate policies in many communities beset by economic decline and surging violence and seething with parental anger with school bureaucracies they believe have become too ideological.

The 2021 election, exit polling indicated, also realigned the coalitions that lifted Joe Biden and Democrats into power a year ago this week. Black voters and young voters who leaned Democrat last November stayed home in key races, leaving an older, whiter and more conservative electorate.

And Donald Trump's irrepressible base reunited with suburbanites to propel first-time politician Youngkin to surprising strength in Virginia, where Biden won by more than 10 points and where Democrat Terry McAuliffe was declared the loser by three points with more than 96% of ballots counted.

"In every election Tuesday people voted against the left, and the signal to Washington should be so clear even Democrats should get the message," former House Speaker Newt Gingrich told Just the News late Tuesday as election results began to solidify.

Win or lose, Youngkin's playbook offers a model for other GOP candidates seeking a winning strategy next year. He triangulated comfortably between Trump's base and the suburbanites who abandoned the 45th president in 2020, accepting Trump's endorsement but not putting the former president front and center. He then focused on economic, education and law and order issues while keeping his tone optimistic.

In contrast, McAuliffe tried to run a national campaign against Trump, one that a majority of voters said appeared to unfairly attempt to tar his GOP competitor while doubling down on an increasingly unpopular President Biden and the Democrats' big government agenda.

And in one fateful moment of the race's last debate, McAuliffe endorsed education bureaucracies over parental rights by proclaiming, "I don't think parents should be telling schools what they should teach."

It was a line played over and over in the final ads of the campaign, and voters cited it in exit polls as a decisive moment in their decision.

More importantly, exit polls showed an electorate strongly believing the country is headed in the wrong direction under Democrat rule and looking for a fresh start. More than 60% of Virginia voters, for instance, expressed concern the country is off course.

John McLaughlin, Trump's pollster, said the vote Tuesday was an unmistakable expression of buyer's remorse on the Biden agenda.

"The elections were driven by intense disapproval for Joe Biden and the Democrats' radical policies," he told Just the News. "Crisis at the border. Out of control crime. High gas prices. Rising cost of living. Failing education. And don't forget the surrender of Afghanistan. The country's on the wrong track, and the voters who could vote in an election voted to send the Biden Democrats a message. They miss the successful policies of President Trump. Huge buyers' remorse. This is not what they voted for."

Voters also made clear that their top concerns were the economy — teetering from inflation and supply chain woes and employment shortages — education and security, three issues on which Republicans had a current advantage, according to NBC's national poll last week.

The issues appeared to propel Republican Jack Ciatarrelli to an unexpectedly strong showing in New Jersey, where he was still leading incumbent Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy with two thirds of the vote counted, Murphy was expected to cruise to reelection in the reliably blue state, and the close race was yet another warning sign for Democrats nationally.

While it will take a few days for all the races to be decided, the first aftereffects of the election were likely to be felt in Washington, where Democrats must decide just how far to go on Biden's signature infrastructure and social spending bills in the face of stubborn opposition from moderates like Sens. Joe Manchin and Kirsten Synema.

Across the country, Democrats also must evaluate their national and local strategies on defunding police and Black Lives Matters, movements begun in the aftermath of the George Floyd tragedy that waned as violent crime spiked in urban areas where police resources were cut.

Minneapolis voters rejected by a 57-43 margin a plan to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a new public safety agency.

The vote was a stinging rebuke for defund-the-police advocates and exposes a generational schism between older black voters and white voters who distrusted the plan and younger minority voters who embraced it as a solution to the Floyd tragedy that rocked the city.

Adams, a former police captain with a law-and-order plan to fight violence in the Big Apple, won handily in New York City in a rejection of outgoing Mayor Bill DeBlasio's anti-police policies. Likewise, the top two finishers in Atlanta's mayoral race, both of whom head to a runoff, were Democrat candidates with plans to grow the size of that city's police department after a year of relentless growth in violence.

But in Austin, Texas, an increasingly liberal bastion inside red Texas, voters rejected increasing the funding to that city's police department by a large margin.

Opponents of CRT, COVID closures win school board races nationwide
National groups poured money and resources into several contests.

By Greg Piper
Updated: November 3, 2021 - 12:33am

Early returns Tuesday night showed that critics of COVID-19 reopening policies and critical race theory made headway in school board elections nationwide.
Conservatives now have a majority of the Carroll Independent School District in the wealthy Dallas suburb of Southlake, where parents previously led an electoral revolt against a proposed racial equity curriculum this spring.

Andrew Yeager won a "landslide victory" in a special election on a platform of opposing the "Cultural Competence Action Plan" for diversity training and curriculum changes, NBC News reported. The new board can now kill the plan.

Three challengers who oppose school COVID mask mandates defeated incumbents on Iowa's Johnston school board, the Des Moines Register reported.

They were backed by the group 1776 Action. In the same region, however, three supporters of school mask mandates won seats on the West Des Moines school board, the Register said.

Candidates who favored a "quicker return to in-person instruction" prevailed in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania school board elections, the Morning Call reported. A political action committee poured $10,000 into one district.

In Douglas County, outside of Denver, the conservative "Vote 4 Kids First" slate of four candidates was leading comfortably. It was endorsed by the 1776 Project PAC, a different organization than 1776 Action.

A $50,000 recall campaign in suburban Milwaukee failed, with all four Mequon-Thiensville school board incumbents comfortably keeping their seats, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported. It was the 16th failed school board recall effort in Wisconsin since the pandemic started.

"Conservative newcomers" won most school board elections in Olathe and Blue Valley in Johnson County, Kansas, the Kansas City Star reported. They campaigned for "parent choice" and against mask mandates, CRT and gender issues in schools, and were backed by 1776 Project PAC.

Many tough-on-crime candidates win in local elections across U.S.
Former New York Police Department Capt. Eric Adams won city’s mayoral race
Updated: November 3, 2021 - 12:34am

On a night when tough-on-crime questions were on ballots, two of the biggest decisions for more policing came in the New York City mayoral race and in a Minneapolis referendum, with most other, similarly pro-police candidates in other cities also doing well.

The Minneapolis referendum to replace the city's police department and its required minimum of officers with a new Department of Public Safety failed on Tuesday. The ballot question required 51% of the vote to pass but failed 44% to 57% with 133 out of 136 precincts reporting, according to Fox News.

In Cleveland, however, a ballot question on creating a civilian commission to hire and fire police officers is at 58.5% for and 41.5% against, with 83% of precincts reporting, Spectrum News reported.

The city's Democratic mayoral candidate, Justin Bibb, who supports the initiative, is also in the lead at 61.8%, over his opponent, GOP candidate Kevin Kelley, at 38.2%. Bibb declared victory Tuesday evening, with Kelley conceding at about 10:30 p.m., according to WKYC.

Increasing violent crime over the past two years and who among those up for election this year was on the minds of voters, including those who argued efforts to “defund” police departments in the aftermath of the 2020 social justice protests had made their communities too unsafe.

Also on Tuesday, New York City elected Democratic mayoral candidate and former New York Police Department Capt. Eric Adams, who vowed to be tough on crime. However, the city also elected Alvin Bragg as its first black district attorney. Bragg has promised to not prosecute those who resist arrest and to be generous with bail.

For Boston's mayoral election, Michelle Wu, who supported cutting the police budget by 10% last year, won against fellow City Council member Annissa Essaibi who accused Wu of wanting to defund the police.

In Buffalo, N.Y., Democratic incumbent Mayor Byron Brown, who lost to democratic socialist India Walton in their party's primary, appeared to be in the lead as a write-in candidate, with 98% reporting and write-in candidates leading Walton 59%-41%, according to WIVB. The news outlet noted that it could take weeks for all the write-in votes to be counted.

Atlanta's mayoral race saw Felicia Moore, who promised to hire 250 police officers to her opponent and former Mayor Kasim Reed's vowed 750 police officers, in the lead and likely to head to a runoff election with over 95% of Fulton County reporting, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. Moore was at 40% of the vote and the next two candidates, Reed and Andre Dickens, were tied at 23% of the vote with less than a thousand votes between them, according to Fox 5.
