GILROY, Calif - Customers at a Costco store in Gilroy may have been exposed to measles. This is according to a notice by the Santa Clara County Health Department that is posted outside the store.
Store officials confirmed customers who were in the store Jan. 18 between 4 and 6 p.m. may have been exposed to measles.

The flyer says a person who is one in two of the confirmed cases in Santa Clara County visited the Costco on Camino Arroyo in Gilroy last Sunday.

The California Public Health Department said the person was infectious at the time. The health department is urging anyone at the store during that two hour period to check their vaccination status for measles and to watch closely for any symptoms up until Feb. 8.

There are 68 confirmed measles cases in California; 48 of those are linked to the Disneyland outbreak, according to California Public Health Department website.

THIS ^^. LOTS of illegals in that area.

Don't assume that it was an illegal that created the exposure. I don't think too many illegals have Costco memberships.

The business is using good legal sense to post the warning. First, it is good for immune compromised people so they can deal with their own personal risk factors. Secondly, this will hold off any potential law suits against the company because if this measles outbreak grows legs and really takes off you know there are going to be some trying to recoup the medical expenses involved.

It's too bad garlic doesn't kill the measles virus, because then Gilroy would be totally protected! The smell! And I have seen "nannies" in Costco trailing women with carts :-)
