A huge landslide has swept eight houses into the sea in Arctic Norway. There were no reports of injuries. Officials estimate the landslip was around 2km wide and 500 ft high.

Mudslide on that scale reminds me of the one that happened out west about ten years ago now that happened after a heavy rain. Hopefully everyone managed to escape in time from this one.

A dog was rescued by helicopter after surviving a massive landslide that swept eight homes into the sea in Alta, Norway. The landslide was the largest the area ever witnessed, measuring 800 metres in width and up to 40 metres in height. Authorities say no one was harmed, despite serious damage to properties. Many of the buildings were holiday homes, and unoccupied at the time of the disaster.
