No Vax, No Food: Spokane Christmas Food Pantry Requires Proof of Vaccination or COVID Test to Get Food
By Jim Hoft Published December 17, 2021 at 8:25am

In Spokane, they’re turning people away from the Christmas Bureau food assistance.
People in need have to show proof of Covid-19 vaccination or proof of a negative COVID test no more than 72 hours old.

If you don’t have the vax or show proof of a COVID test you are turned away.

When you’re hungry the last thing you’re thinking about is a COVID vax.

The Christmas Bureau is an annual holiday assistance program coordinated by Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, Volunteers of America, and the Spokesman-Review. The program is made possible by generous monetary funds and volunteer hours donated by community members and organizations.

If this is a Catholic food pantry IMHO that those of you that are Catholic should be writing letters to the priest and bishops there stating some of what’s been said here and tell them they are in danger of being Like the Pharisees and the money changers spoken of in the Bible. And quote what all Jesus says about such things as this.

Couldn't have happened in a nicer city. But that's just me being cynical. I detest that place only because I used to live there and quite frankly most of the people there just plain suck. It gets a little cold there in the winter and they also have warming centers for the homeless so they don't freeze to death outside. I wonder if their protocols will be similar. Didn't get your jab? Tough. Go freeze in the streets.

I imagine that this is exactly what's going to happen.
And might I might add, from the very people who have those lovely signs in their front yards stating, Hate Has No Home Here…. :lkick:

And Jesus said it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than the unvaccinated to enter the kingdom of Heaven...
I think that is from the book of Fauci, Chapter 3:27…. In the New Woke Version 2020….:kaid:

I would contact the priest and then, if necessary, the bishop and complain that turning away the hungry is against the Corporal Works of Mercy (or whatever it is). I can't look it up right now.

It's clearly against Catholic principles. That's what I'm trying to convey.
BINGO!
And, you've got the process down; local priest, then the Bishop. Such used to take tiiimmmmeee as such complaints usually had to be hard copy, snail mail followed by an investigation. Thanks to email, some apparent press, this should be sorted out in jig time.

I went to their website to tell them off, in a nice way of course, but there is no contact link. I even tried the donate page, no dice. Idiot jerks.
