I love the Mountain House Beef Stroganoff. The new MH Breakfast Skillet dish is very tasty and filling also.

After many years of two week long summer vacations, car camping out in the Rockies I developed a use for MH which really helped when setting up or breaking camp.

We used to cover a -lot- of miles and visit a -lot- of places in our many travels.

Every so often we would roll into a new camp well after sundown. Setting up camp at night can be a bit of a hassle. Being road weary and tired, it was a another hassle to break out the camp kitchen and go through a whole meal preparation routine. On those kind of nights I would just boil some water on a backpack stove and hydrate some MH. A nice hot meal ready o go in 10 - 12 minutes without having to break out and clean all of the cooking gear. Then we could get a nice sleep.

Conversely, there were mornings where we wanted to head out fast and early. Occasionally bad weather was threatening, we weren't planning on staying for the day, and thus the first priority was to break down camp and pack up the car before everything got wet. No time to whip up a big camp breakfast along with the associated cleanup.

Again, in those circumstances, it was very nice to have a filling breakfast before setting out for another long day on the road.

There can be a huge convenience factor using MH food.
