…… Need Unemployment benefit info for the state of Illinois

Hi folks!
One of my dear sisters, aged 62, has had her work hours cut in half! (permanently)

36 years with her employer. The job description was changed so she does not fulfill all
aspects of the "new job". She is actively seeking full time work within the same employer-system.
Her work record is pristine! Always good reviews.

Question...is there such a thing as "partial" unemployment benefits?
She is trying not to dip into her 401-k.

I know someone on our forum will know! Thanks in advance!

I just googled partial unemployment in Illinois and got the above. Look for question several down from Laura.

She can quit and get full unemployment. If she continues to work she accepts the conditions.

I myself was laid of at 63 after 25 years. It sucks. Didn't find another job, filed for SS myself at age 64. Oh well!

In WI, when my work hours got lowered through no fault of my own, I was able to file for un employment to help make up the difference (thankfully). This was probably 5 years ago.
