No news article. Just a photo from my AO in Central PA.

Noticed National Beef recently added a fence (with barbed wire) around their plant. They also have a nifty little guard shack to control vehicular traffic in and out.

Mean anything? You decide.

On The Level
Means they're having a tough time finding employees. Probably the same with trucking firms. Tough times. Not a lot of respect all around. Maybe they're trying to prevent valuable meat from becoming shrinkage.

Neither here nor there.
Hmmmm time to go over to Market to Market on PBS and see what they're saying about beef this week. I know there's been some controversy over the new law that Grassley and the senator from Nebraska are trying to get passed involving the beef industry. Wonders if this outfit in the OP is expecting some serious feed back from the public at large?

One of our local Tyson plants has had a fence like that for years. Meth heads will steal anything not nailed down. The other plants around here are fenced too. Not just food plants either.
