I grew these from tops. It has taken nearly five years but finally ...

Not yet. It is still a baby. I have about 10 pineapple plants and this is the first one to fruit. I'm anxious to see how sweet it is once it matures.

My neighbor's son has grown an avocado tree from seed. It's about 3 feet tall! I guess if I can grow citrus stuff here he can grow an avocado tree! (by neighbor I mean he lives less than a mile away!) Cute kid. I challenged him to a pumpkin growing contest and he is seriously into it.
