When you use a gardening book so much that finally, it can no longer be handled without destroying the pages- it's time to replace. I used this as a new gardener and as an advanced gardener and it has never failed me. Read the reviews on Amazon on the link at the end of the post to see all the sections and subjects covered.

My Mother's favorite garden book (and she had many) was first published in 1943 and I replaced it today with the newer version:

10,000 Garden Questions: Answered by 20 Experts Hardcover – May 1, 1990
by Majorie J. Dietz

10, 000 Garden Questions: Answered by 20 Experts: Dietz, Majorie J.: 9780060163372: Amazon.com: Books
What other garden books do you consider your go to?

P.S. Dennis, we could use an Education or a Book prefix- I chose Help because nothing else fit. One thing gardeners have in abundance is gardening books.

Do you have a flat bed scanner? You can cut the back out of the older book, and scan each page, then you have an electronic copy that can be archived.
