Weather microburst

SO, scary thing happened earlier this afternoon. I had my granddaughters with me. I took the littlest one outside to water a plant. I looked to the east and the sky was seriously black. I hustled Lena back inside and BOOM! A microburst, or maybe it is called a downburst, hit my lanai and knocked over a huge heavy planter full of orchids. The wind cranked up in seconds to 60 MPH and then poof, the wind died down. It broke my very expensive planter but that was the only damage, but MAN that was scary!

First time that happened to me 2007 IIRC Oklahoma. Pushed my truck off the road, then it hailed golfballs, then a inch of rain. All in a hour. Then a hour later the clouds right above my home where circling.

As a mountain boy, I've seen many good wind storms, hail dumps and what not, but nothing as intense of weather out here in Oklahoma.

Well, it can be hairy around here in Florida during the summer but I have never experienced anything like this!
