Mexican president threatens to meddle in US elections with 'information campaign' against Republicans

Adam Shaw

Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador on Thursday threatened to launch an "information campaign" in the U.S. against Republicans, telling Mexicans and Hispanics not to vote for them unless U.S. lawmakers change their treatment of Mexico — an apparent threat of election interference by the head of state in response to U.S. calls for action against cartels smuggling fentanyl across the border.
"Starting today we are going to start an information campaign for Mexicans who live and work in the United States and for all Hispanics to inform them of what we are doing in Mexico and how this initiative by the Republicans, in addition to being irresponsible, is an offense against the people of Mexico, a lack of respect for our independence, our sovereignty," he said.
"And if they do not change their attitude and think that they are going to use Mexico for their propaganda, electoral, and political purposes, we are going to call for them not to vote for that party, because it is interventionist, inhumane, hypocritical, and corrupt," Lopez Obrador said, later adding that Mexico would be insisting that "not one vote" goes to Republicans from Mexicans and Hispanics.

Lopez Obrador was responding to calls for action from Republican lawmakers, including military action, to crack down on the continuing smuggling of fentanyl into the U.S.

On Wednesday, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., called for the "fury and might" of the U.S. to be unleashed on Mexican drug cartels.
"We're going to unleash the fury and might of the United States against these cartels," Graham said. "We're going to destroy their business model and their lifestyle because our national security and the security of the United States as a whole depends on us taking decisive action."

Graham said that he intends to introduce legislation that would designate Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs) and authorize the U.S. to use military force to go into Mexico and destroy the drug networks.
"Not to invade Mexico, not to shoot Mexican airplanes down, but to destroy drug labs that are poisoning Americans," he said.

Graham dismissed concerns about such a move damaging diplomatic relations with Mexico.

SEN. GRAHAM CALLS FOR ‘FURY AND MIGHT' OF US TO BE UNLEASHED ON MEXICAN CARTELS, EYES MILITARY ACTION
"We'd like to help you, but we're not going to sit on the sidelines anymore as a nation and watch our neighbor become a narco-state that kills more Americans in a single year than we lost in Vietnam," he said.
Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, had also backed military action in the wake of the deaths of two Americans at the hands of cartels in recent days. He said it was "time we authorize military force" against the cartels.
"We would love for you to be a partner. Help up help you," he tweeted.
Lopez Obrador also claimed in remarks on Thursday that Mexico does not produce fentanyl and sought to shrug off responsibility to the U.S.
"Here, we do not produce fentanyl, and we do not have consumption of fentanyl," he said. "Why don't they [the United States] take care of their problem of social decay?"

AMERICAN FENTANYL CRISIS ‘UNLEASHED ON PURPOSE’ BY MEXICAN DRUG CARTELS, AG GARLAND SAYS
Despite Lopez Obrador’s claims, the overwhelming majority of fentanyl — which is 50-100 times more potent than morphine and can be fatal in small doses — is in fact produced in Mexico using Chinese precursors and then smuggled across the U.S. land border. The Mexican government has acknowledged this fact before, and has made a number of high-profile seizures of fentanyl at drug labs in its territory.
The DEA said in December that "most of the fentanyl trafficked by the Sinaloa and CJNG Cartels is being mass-produced at secret factories in Mexico with chemicals sourced largely from China."
It isn’t just Republicans who have been critical of Mexico. Attorney General Merrick Garland told lawmakers in the Senate last week that the fentanyl epidemic is being "unleashed on purpose" by the Mexican cartels.

He also said that Mexico "is helping us, but they could do much more."

God has a plan, Trust it!
Wow, this tells me a lot. It tells me that Democrats are lining the pockets of Mexico to the point that Republicans now threaten Mexico's cash cow. They not only get the cash income from the Cartels giving kickbacks for the drug sales, but the US gives them kick backs to send illegals to vote in elections.

Imformation, shimformation. All Mexico has to do is "encourage" more Mexicans. Run a bus from the prisons, cities, Section 9 housing DIRECT to the border. The "refuse to our teeming shore" will be welcomed by none other than Majorkas - although not personally.

And that refuse will be given free bus rides into the interior, support by government funded NGOs, Cell-phones, EBT Cards, health care if needed, education if needed and very likely a place to stay.

And also, lest we forget, a "driver's license" and a voter application.

All part of weakening America, and "softening up" the nation for being overrun (or at least overtaken) by China.

Mexican president threatens to meddle in US elections with 'information campaign' against Republicans

Well, there’s a threat will be accepted with open arms.

Thank you for so boldly encouraging all recipient parties of interest.

Why don’t you just bake each of them a pie and buy drinks, while you’re at it.

I like pie.

I'm not certain how many o' the newly red pilled Mexicans will bend to his will.
I'm also not certain what difference, at this point, that it makes. With dominion and mail in balloting, election results are whatever those counting the election results say they are, right?
:: shrug ::

Definition of insanity seems to apply to the red-pilled team too. The system has been hijacked and the game of politics is just kabuki theatre to keep us occupied. Except for those weilding real power and influence who're squabbling o'er how much o' the pie THEIR interests will recieve.

Today, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, President Joseph R. Biden, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau met in Mexico City for the 10th North American Leaders’ Summit (NALS). The leaders are determined to fortify our region’s security, prosperity, sustainability and inclusiveness through commitments across six pillars: 1) diversity, equity, and inclusion; 2) climate change and the environment; 3) competitiveness; 4) migration and development; 5) health; and 6) regional security.

North America shares a unique history and culture that emphasizes innovation, equitable development, and mutually beneficial trade to create inclusive economic opportunities for the benefit of our people. We are not just neighbors and partners. Our people share bonds of family and friendship and value – above all else – freedom, justice, human rights, equality, and democracy. This is the North American DNA.

(…)

Looking forward

The commitments made during this summit are rooted in a shared vision for a more equitable, just, inclusive, resilient, secure, and prosperous North America and a shared responsibility to achieve more equitable outcomes responsive to the needs and aspirations of our citizens. As we work to implement these commitments in the upcoming year, we seek to model a democratic and sustainable path based on trust to promote inclusive prosperity and security. Mexico, the United States, and Canada look forward to building on this progress at the eleventh NALS (NALS XI), to be hosted by Canada.

It's all about power. Hispanics really can't govern an outhouse. So, any nation south of the USA has leaders who want more power...but incapable of actually being effective or any good.

I predict a long and winding path littered with DNC payola scandals, total devolution of Mexico into a Haiti-like mess, with entangled US military. Kinetic events on both sides of border.

Mexico will weaponize illegal immigration as their first step

Considering the number of countries the US Government, as well as the DNC itself, have "mettled" in their elections, it could be argued that "turnabout is fair game". However I wouldn't make that argument in this case.

Why is AMLO so desperate to help the cartels ? Why campaign against Republicans who want to hold these cartels accountable? @derekmaltz_s and I testified before the Ohio legislature several years ago to designate the top cartels terrorist organizations - they operate as narco-terrorists and Fentanyl is a game changer … sorry AMLO but there is no way to avoid what’s coming and there is no way to appease the monsters holding both of our nations hostage.

AMLO had better hope Trump loses in 2024. If not, by 1/31/25, the place will be ruins, coast to coast.

Lindsey Graham fires back at Mexican president for rebuking his dangling of military action

Ryan King

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) shrugged off Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's rebuke about the prospect of deploying U.S. forces against the drug cartels.

Last month, Graham issued an ultimatum of sorts demanding Mexico ramp up its offensive against the drug cartels or else they will be told, "you are an enemy of the United States." Lopez Obrador and other top Mexican officials roundly repudiated the notion.

WATCH: LINDSEY GRAHAM WARNS MEXICAN GOVERNMENT, 'WE ARE GOING TO START KILLING PEOPLE'

"No sovereign country has the right to kill 70,000 Americans without some kind of repercussion," Graham told Fox News Sunday. "My point is, I want to work with Mexico, but the president of Mexico denies that the drug cartels are in charge of part of his country. He's delusional about what's going on in his backyard."

Graham has floated legislation to designate the Mexican drug cartels as terrorist organizations and repeatedly left the door open to military action. Other Republicans, such as 2024 hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy, have conveyed similar proposals.

"Seventy thousand Americans died last year from fentanyl poisoning. This year alone, 13,000 pounds of fentanyl has been seized at the U.S.-Mexican border. Okay? That's enough to kill billions of people, 2.5 billion people," Graham added.

Last week, Lopez Obrador penned a letter to China pleading for help in combating the fentanyl crisis by reigning in shipments of the potent synthetic opioid drug. He blasted the concept of U.S. military force in Mexico and further threatened to back a campaign to rally Mexicans and Hispanics to vote against the GOP.

"We are not going to permit any foreign government to intervene in our territory, much less that a government's armed forces intervene," Lopez Obrador declared at a news conference last month.

Graham blasted Mexico's actions as "insufficient." He further vowed to not "sit on the sideline and watch Mexico be used as a staging area to ship fentanyl into the United States that killed 70,000 Americans last year."

The senator first teased legislation to target the cartels during an international dust-up where four American citizens, who were South Carolina residents, were abducted in Mexico. Two were killed, and the FBI blamed a Mexican cartel for the kidnapping.

When asked by host Shannon Bream about whether his proposal would entail "military assets this side of the border" and "not in Mexico," Graham replied, "Right."
