Then, in digression, her daughter had a dog poop in her purse. It was Christmas and she didn’t realize it until she attempted to take her money out of her purse at the register and there it was. Big as life.

Dog trainer my aft-end. A very assumptive type projecting a little too much ‘I got this’ attitude while fishing for info.

The guy work’s at Cabelas has a single shelf and asks why people are buying ammo. His sincerity evades the syntax of trust. Good thing Hairy reads people well.
I agree with this. The guy was lying. Dog picked up on it. But still, not good.

I don’t want my dog to stop barking when appropriate, but don’t want her to bite either. And I want her to be quiet when I tell her. She’s pretty good with the “no bark” thing but no bark is generally used for cows walking by. If it’s a person, I want bark unless it’s someone I know. Then she usually hushes. Point is, there are some things you DON’T want to train out.

I don’t think you want to train out his protection but you have to know what the heck he’s thinking as

Once you learn what triggers this, then give it a job that don't allow the dog to react with out you.
