All of the money will not go to the Interloper's. A good portion will be laundered and taken by the political crooks running the show. The crime families would never let a crisis opportunity like this go to waste.

Freaking Ridiculous! Never have been to New York and guess now for certain will never go to the area. The western wilds away from it all is still great place to hang one's hat.

With many depts only about half of the officers actual work on the street.
The other half make up admin, super, invest and with many who are retired on duty,
called ROD. With many depts, all a super does is tell someone else to do the job.
I've seen many depts that are extremely top heavy. Sometimes it difficult to tell what
exactly they do to earn a paycheck? Police depts create an enormous drain on the taxpayer's pocket.

With NYC dropping from 36K to 30K, they are actually decreasing officers on the street by a third.
That will leave a mark.

I wonder with the increase in what used to be a crime if many of the tax payers leaving will cause even more of a tax deficit

With the brilliant guidance of Ben Crump, NYC can change the definition of crime to apply only to those committed by whypaypull.. Knee-grows will be exempt, therefore no need for so many po-lees.

The left always cuts funding for the services that those who work for a living desire in order to maintain funding to those who vote for a living. Please do not try to tell illegal migrants don't vote ... it is only a matter of time.

Let me see now. You want to cut the number of officers by six thousand, so you can provide for illegal immigrants. Some of these illegal people are thieves, drug dealers, rapists or murderers. (I don't count underground military types, no matter where they come from. They aren't stupid enough to do that kind of thing.) The type of people you want the LEO's to protect the illegal immigrants from. Just like the ones your LEO's are supposed to protect your residents from that are home grown. I'm certain they will recognize the seriousness of the situation and sit on their hands, until you get the illegal situation under control. But you reduce the number of officers to take care of people you don't want, can't wait to get rid of, and dread to have around because of the drain they place on society.
