Ga 14 District, NW Georgia.

Any of you sleuths out there from Ga have any idea why he got spooked???

Marjorie Greene’s, the republican candidate for Georgia’s 14th District ( NW Georgia), democrat opponent, Kevin Van Ausdal, has suddenly dropped out of the race due to ‘personal and family concerns, and is going to be leaving the state.

No reasons were given for his decision except for it being personal and family. In a tweet Greene wished him well.

To add: I’m phoning it so my copy/paste is rather limited or I would have posted the whole article. My bad...

The Communists are telling us what they will do to us if we do not let them take over.

Apparently this guy took whoever approached him seriously.

He thinks that his withdrawal will allow the Democrats to name another candidate to replace him but I guess it is up to the Secretary of State and he is a Republican. Even if he says no I guess the Democrats will go to court but I think if I was Ms. Greene I would do some heavy duty politics now and present her platform now while there is no opponent. She is running as a Trump supporter and she is doing a pretty good job. My guess is she needs an endorsement from President Trump or maybe a visit from VP Pence to a audience. Every vote in the house counts and the Republicans should harvest this low hanging fruit

A little more information on the 14th Congressional District in Georgia. The sitting Representative a Republican chose not to run for reelection and the Democrats were hoping to flip the seat. There nominee withdrew and the Georgia Democratic Party has requested the Republican Secretary of State to withdraw his name and allow them to replace the candidate. Of course that would change the ballot for the general election which it is real late to do so. The longer he waits the harder it will be for the Democratic Candidate to campaign in a heavy red district. I think the Republicans will hold the seat even if the Democrats are allowed to replace the guy. I'm going to try to keep up on this and will post updates when and if I get them.

Van Ausdal drops out of NW Ga. congressional race as Floyd County prepares to vote

By Diane Wagner DWagner@RN-T.com 4 hrs ago

Democrat Kevin Van Ausdal announced Friday he is withdrawing from the 14th Congressional District race against Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene.

The district covers Floyd and 11 other counties in Northwest Georgia.

"I am deeply saddened by the personal and family reasons that prevent me from continuing on as a candidate ... Although all the details will remain my family’s alone, please understand this was not an easy decision. We are real people managing hard choices,” he said.

Van Ausdal -- who was campaigning vigorously as late as Wednesday night -- said he will be moving out of Georgia. He thanked his supporters in a statement released by his campaign, and urged them to shift their support to a new nominee.

It was unclear Friday if there will be a replacement -- or if Greene will be the sole candidate for the seat held by U.S. Rep. Tom Graves, R-Ranger, who did not run for reelection.

"Because we're so close to the election, it changes the dynamics. You have to be deceased or disqualified to be replaced at this point," said Wendy Davis.

The Rome city commissioner is a member of the Democratic National Committee and serves on the executive committee of the Democratic Party of Georgia.

Davis said that, since Van Ausdal is leaving the state, he could be declared disqualified. The decision would be made by Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a Republican, after the formal paperwork is filed.

"When the secretary of state makes that determination, the party would name a candidate the next day," Davis said.

While Davis is not directly involved in the withdrawal process, she said it would probably be early next week before the next steps, if any, are known.

The Associated Press reported that Deputy Secretary of State Jordan Fuchs said Friday the window has passed for Democrats to replace Van Ausdal.

Pedophile?

I give up.
I tried looking up his biography. All I know is it says he has a wife and daughter. Who knows? Probably none of our business.

Maybe, we are talking about a dimmicrat. Rest assured it was something heinous to make a liberal spit out the taxpayer teat and run away.

Redneck Norseman, I'm not sure you have been here, but you don't have to be a leftie to be a pedophile. We had a long-time member here turn out to be a pedophile a few years ago (he and his wife both arrested). So, this guy could be one, who knows (it certainly seems to be awfully common anymore). But no group has a lock on immorality.

Not real sure how you extrapolated that I think that only dims can be pedophiles from my post. Pedophilia knows no party or gender. My comment was in line with the party that wholeheartedly supports the destruction of lives by claiming pedophilia is a sexual preference. Hope that clears up my standpoint for you. :)

So the "official" story is, his wife kicked him out of the house and instead of renting an apartment in his district, he's choosing to drop out of the race and move to IN with family members?

Sounds legit. :groucho:

I wonder what triggered the divorce? It sounds abrupt, and the timing is odd. Her dumping him, and kicking him out of the house, suggests impropriety on his part, especially since it's so close to the election.

Does he not resemble the character Kevin Spacey played in “Midnight in the garden of good and evil”.?

I'm going to guess one of three things. He got caught doing something. She got caught doing something. She saw how much money his campaign raked in and wants to 'get dat' money.

Yes, it was. Just goes to show you can never REALLY know someone long-distance, I guess.

(Oh, this is interesting! First time I've gotten quotes from two different people into one post!)

Redneck Norseman, it was just that in response to someone's suggestion that the guy might be a pedophile, you said this: "Maybe, we are talking about a dimmicrat." And my response was just to point out that pedophiles come from all parts of the political spectrum. I would like to think they are fewer on the right, because we are supposed to be the ones with good moral standards, and a respect for law and order, but I'm not at all sure that it makes much difference with sexual sins.

Curious that the guy is running away because of a divorce decree. His wife may have something on him that won't appeal to the voters very much, even on the left.

I am curious. What exactly does the left find abhorrent?
Not too much, the way I see it.

Fair competition with clear winners and losers based upon ability, how socialism is neither moral nor workable, the U.S. in general, being pro-white, equality under law, Biblical Christianity (esp. non-Christians being hellbound), making people take responsibility for their decisions, Human Biodiversity (esp. WRT race/sex IQ and criminality differences when non-PC), decline in female MMV with age/careerism/ sluttery/ being feminists, telegony, almost no one mattering in Science above technician level but white males, the utter uselessness of women in most of the military and many workplaces, how ignorant and low-IQ most college degree holders are who didn't major in real STEM, how crippling divorce and bastardy are, how DV perpetration is comparable for both sexes, discussion of demographic trends to nonwoke audiences, logic, most rape accusations being bogus, how wives groundlessly file the vast majority of divorces in marriages with minor children, how rampant cuckoldry is (up to 30 percent of all births), workplace death (18:1) and prison sentencing disparity between men/women, how totally F'd up homosexuals are (esp. their life expectancies and rampant pedophilia), how obese most nonAsian women in the U.S. are now, in general the virtues of sexual and other types of self- control, lots of things.

All the above combined with massive amounts of self-hatred and loathing. They hate everything they can’t be and everyone they can’t, or won’t, emulate.
