Maricopa County Board of Supervisors Refuses to Comply With Subpoenas to Turn Over Dominion Voting Machines for Audit

The Maricopa Board of Supervisors has voted 4-1 to refuse to comply with legislative subpoenas to turn over Dominion voting machines for a forensic audit.
Instead of supporting transparency and making sure there was a free and fair election, they will be filing a complaint in Superior Court.

Subpoenas were issued for the machines by the Arizona Senate Judiciary earlier this week.

“The goal is to verify the machines did what they are supposed to do,” Senate President Karen Fann said.

The subpoenas had set a deadline of 5 p.m. Friday.

That doesn't QUITE crest the surface of interfering with a lawful investigation.

Now if they get a police force of one shade or another then yep, interfering, and contempt and all that comes into play. the legislators aren't QUITE a "lawful" investigating AGENCY, but they CAN initiate a lawful investigation via a Prosecutor...

True. At this stage, it's more like them pleading the 5th. Still an admission of guilt in my book.

The level of corruption is amazing. And to think 50 years ago this was Goldwater's Arizona. The McCain machine in full flower.
Blood and fire. They don't fear us. YET!

fears the people it is FREEDOM."

LOL... the legislature asked for way too much information and some very complicated equipment. Some of it would likely be unconstitutional or illegal for the county to provide. You bet the county supers want to cover their bottoms before acceding to the wishes of the legislature.

Give this issue time to work through the courts. DJT is not the only politician who knows how and when to use the judicial system.

Link to news story...

One subpoena calls for images of every mail-in ballot and another calls for the county to provide access to a range of election equipment for “forensic analysis.”...

Under state law, the images of ballots are to be locked up, just like the ballots, by the county treasurer. The treasurer may be ordered to turn over these materials in the event of a recount or a challenge to the election, the law says. But it does not say anything about making the materials available for some sort of third party.

County officials have said machinery cannot be accessed while litigation over the election is ongoing, as equipment could be considered evidence in a case....

Along with the ballots and election equipment, one of the subpoenas asked for voter information, including voters' date of birth, address, party affiliation and other related information.

Supervisor Bill Gates said that, as a conservative, he believes in protecting this voter information. “I'm going to fight to protect that information," Gates said.

This is how that dirty McCain stayed in office all those years! Maricopa counts for 60% of the votes for the entire state and it’s obviously crooked as a dogs hind leg. States like AZ should consider the electoral college approach for elections.

Maricopa County supervisors will go to court in response to Arizona Senate's election-related subpoenas

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will not send the state Senate election materials in response to subpoenas before a 5 p.m. deadline Friday.

Instead, the supervisors voted 4-1 on Friday to file a court complaint in response to the subpoenas, after raising concerns that the state Legislature's demands are too broad and violate voters' privacy. Supervisor Steve Chucri cast the opposing vote.

The state Senate's subpoenas were sweeping, demanding the county turn over digital images of every mail ballot counted during November's general election, along with a list of logs and reports.

The legal demand comes as some Republicans in the state Legislature continue to claim widespread election fraud and misconduct, despite reassurances from the Republican-controlled supervisors that the election was fair, and despite multiple audits showing the county counted votes accurately.

Board of Supervisors Chairman Clint Hickman, a Republican, said Friday that the timeline on the subpoenas was unrealistic, the request was an intrusion into voters' privacy, and fulfilling them would require breaking state law.

Supervisor Steve Gallardo, the only Democrat on the board, went a step further, calling the subpoenas a political circus.

"I'm not interested in a political sideshow," Gallardo said.

The supervisors reiterated that they believed the election was fair and accurate.

Just ask the left-wing nutjobs who are convinced there is no voter fraud if they have nothing to hide what are they worried about?

Why not hand them over and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that biden won fair and square?

Simply work with the legislators to comply with the law while providing transparency to restore faith in the system. Either that or fight tooth and nail to keep the fraud conspiracy alive and well by refusing to cooperate in any way.

Hell, they're refusing to comply with a subpoena from their own State Legislature! Arrest them NOW!

ETA: Technically they have until 5PM today (their time) to comply if I understand the OP correctly.

Kinda like the federal agencies that evaded the law to prepare and report on any interference in our elections?

Nothing screams nothings going to happen like giving someone more than a month to wipe the machines then requesting them for Audit and getting a "Nope" response that will then have to be sent to LE to send to a Judge for a Warrant.

Can't wait for the wild, wild west to resurface. Gunslingers and Patriots will be taking out some folks behind the wood shed.
And it's not for a polite conversation in my mind.

This too shall pass.
State electoral colleges would be a really good idea -- it would keep the big cities from running the whole state. But I doubt that you'd ever get something like that pushed through at this point.
