Big Business Pulling Out All the Stops to Force Government Surrender to China

BY RICK MORAN SEP 01, 2021 1:27 PM ET

China has one of the most repressive governments in the world. It has oppressed 2 million ethnic Uighurs, throwing a million of them into forced labor camps while denying them the right to practice their religion.

Denying religious freedom is a feature in China, not a bug. Christians, too, are severely restricted in practicing their faith. There’s also the deadening hand of censorship on all speech, with stiff penalties for criticizing the Chinese Communist government.

To a degree unseen in the west, the Chinese people are regimented and controlled. But that’s just fine with America’s large corporations. In fact, a massive lobbying effort is underway by powerful trade and interest groups to forestall any kind of government action that would be aimed at Chinese bad behavior.

When asked the reason, big business says, “It’s the customers, dummy.”

Politico:
The groups say companies abhor the intimidation, forced labor conditions and general atmosphere of repression in China, particularly in Hong Kong and the northwestern region of Xinjiang. But they are also concerned that a trade crackdown could strangle investments U.S. firms have made in the world’s most populous nation.

“There’s a huge consumer market in China. Most of the big U.S. companies are selling there. They’re not just using it as an export platform. They’re integrated into the economy in other ways,” said Rufus Yerxa, a former senior U.S. trade representative and WTO official who is now president of the National Foreign Trade Council.
In fact, large western corporations are hardly in a position to criticize Chinese policies because they have become a big part of the repression and intimidation machine let loose by the Chinese government on their own people.

American-based social media companies allow the Chinese government to dictate what content the Chinese people can see. Hollywood must tailor their films and TV shows, taking into account Chinese sensibilities.

And if they want to continue to do business in China, they must kowtow to the party line — as the NBA did last year when a general manager tweeted a plea for freedom for Hong Kong. The Chinese Communists threatened to pull out of a billion-dollar sponsorship deal unless the NBA played ball on Hong Kong. In the end, the general manager genuflected to the Chinese Communists by rescinding the tweet.

The Chinese still pulled out of a sponsorship deal with the GM’s team, the Houston Rockets.
Groups representing hundreds of the biggest U.S. companies, from Amazon to JPMorgan Chase and Nike, have so far gotten lawmakers to kill legislation that would mandate government reviews for American investments in China, weaken anti-Beijing rhetoric in an evolving House legislative package, and insert corporate-friendly provisions to an anti-forced labor bill that would reshape how the federal government implements trade restrictions.
But none of those bills have been finalized, and big business groups are worried that they won’t be able to rely on their traditional allies once the fall legislative session begins.
Only total submission to the Chinese government will be accepted. With Republicans pushing Biden and the Democrats to get tougher on China, the business lobbyists have turned to radical progressives to save them.

It’s an odd pairing to be sure. Radicals want to tax big business into oblivion, while big business wants to destroy the planet, according to the socialists.

But their interests merge when it comes to preventing the start of another cold war.
In recent months, the U.S.-China Business Council, which represents more than 250 American firms that do business in China, has reached out to aides for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and anti-war groups like Justice is Global, one of scores of groups that endorsed letters urging Congress to pump the brakes on anti-China provisions and prioritize climate change cooperation with Beijing.
The business groups say that they can still hold Beijing accountable for human rights abuses while making lots and lots of money. It’s a dubious calculus given what we know about the Chinese Communists.

Congress is likely to pass restrictive trade laws because China already has restrictive laws on the books. And China has become a very sensitive political issue for Biden, whose son Hunter has gotten very cozy with the Chinese Communists.

So playing nice with the Chinese Communists must await a more pliable president and a Congress that doesn’t mind filling the pockets of slavers and torturers.

White House announces plan to build 100K affordable homes

Says big investors are crowding out low- and middle-income families

By Tom Howell Jr. - The Washington Times - Wednesday, September 1, 2021
The White House said Wednesday it will use existing federal funds to build and provide 100,000 homes to low- and middle-income buyers and nonprofits over the next three years to bolster supply that is often snapped up by deep-pocketed investors.

President Biden believes Congress can bolster affordable housing by approving his mammoth spending plan for families, but the White House said it “can’t wait to take action,” as economically battered Americans sought space during the coronavirus pandemic only to find tight supply and runaway home prices and rents.

“The large and long-standing gap between the supply and demand of affordable homes for both renters and homeowners makes it harder for families to buy their first home and drives up the cost of rent,” a White House fact sheet said. “Higher housing costs also crowd out other investments families can and should make to improve their lives, such as investments in education.”

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Secretary Marcia Fudge on Wednesday will announce a series of measures to carry out the plan, from expanded financing through the Treasury and agencies such as Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae to relaunching a Treasury-HUD Risk Sharing Program that provides low-cost capital for affordable housing development.

The plan would prioritize families by limiting the sale of certain properties owned by HUD or insured by the Federal Housing Administration to investors.

The administration said it is also “expanding and creating exclusivity periods in which only governmental entities, owner-occupants, and qualified non-profit organizations are able to bid on certain FHA-insured and government-owned properties.”

The White House said it needs to act because investors gobbled up one in every six homes purchased in the second quarter of this year.

“Large investor purchases of single-family homes and conversion into rental properties [speed] the transition of neighborhoods from homeownership to rental and drives up home prices for lower cost homes, making it harder for aspiring first-time and first-generation home buyers, among others, to buy a home,” the fact sheet said. “At the same, these purchases are unlikely to meaningfully boost supply in the lower-cost portions of the rental market, as investors charge more for rent to recoup higher purchase costs.”

Pope Francis Calls for Adoption of ‘Environmentally Sustainable Lifestyle’

THOMAS D. WILLIAMS, PH.D.2 Sep 202175

Rome — Pope Francis continued his environmental crusade Wednesday, urging Catholics to adopt “a simple and environmentally sustainable lifestyle.”

Each month, the Vatican publishes the pope’s prayer intention for the month, together with a video of the pontiff elucidating that intention. For the month of September, 2021, the papal intention has an overtly ecological message, asking God for the courage to embrace an environmentally sustainable lifestyle.

“It makes me very happy to see that young people have the courage to undertake projects for environmental and social improvement, since the two go together,” Francis says in his message. “We adults can learn much from them, because in all matters related to care for the planet, they are at the forefront.”

The pope has been an outspoken admirer of Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and a vocal supporter of her efforts to raise awareness of the perils of climate change.

In January 2020, the pope praised the way young people “have become active in calling the attention of political leaders to the issue of climate change.”

“The protection of the home given to us by the Creator cannot be neglected or reduced to an elitist concern,” he said.

“Young people are telling us that this cannot be the case, for at every level we are being urgently challenged to protect our common home and to bring the whole human family together to seek a sustainable and integral development,” he added.

“They remind us of the urgent need for an ecological conversion, which must be understood in an integral way, as a transformation of how we relate to our sisters and brothers, to other living beings, to creation in all its rich variety and to the Creator who is the origin and source of all life,” he said.
In Wednesday’s video, Francis urged his hearers to listen to young people engaged with environmental issues, inviting them to “take advantage of their example and reflect on our lifestyle, especially during these moments of health, social and environmental crisis.”

“Let us reflect on how the way we eat, consume, travel, or the way we use water, energy, plastics, and many other material goods, is often harmful to the earth,” he said.

“Let us choose to change! Let us advance with young people towards lifestyles that are simpler and more respectful of the environment,” he added.

In conclusion, the pope invited Christians to pray “that we all will make courageous choices, the choices necessary for a simple and environmentally sustainable lifestyle, taking inspiration from our young people who are resolutely committed to this.”

They aren’t foolish, he said, “because they are committed to their own future. This is why they want to change what they will inherit at a time when we will no longer be here.”

Magical Thinking About Green Energy

THURSDAY, SEP 02, 2021 - 12:00 PM
Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

The incentives must change from "waste is growth" to hyper-efficiency, conservation, right to repair and manufactured objects engineered to last a generation or longer and be recyclable at scale.

Humans like novelty but don't like change. It's easy to confuse the two. When we say, "I need a change," what we mean is "I'd like to be refreshed by some novelty," not "I want all the uncertainty, ambiguity and potential for errors and losses that come with change."

Humans like a new model of truck (novelty) but don't like their truck is taken away (change).

Since life is change, we all some experience with it. Some changes happen to us, others are the result of conscious choices we make.

Every individual has a mix of aptitudes, strategies and experiences with both kinds of change. Some of us are better at handling one kind or the other, some don't handle either very well, some handle all change remarkably well.

Very few of us say, "I sure would like to have a health crisis." We don't choose the health crisis, but we do choose our response.

Like many of you, I've had accidents (health crises), major career changes and multiple moves to different locales.

as a general rule, changes we choose / direct have a push-pull aspect: there's something negative we want to avoid or end, and something positive we want to obtain.

For example, we might realize that our current job is a dissatisfactory dead-end (the negative) and we need a more satisfying career (the positive).

A health crisis is negative but the prospect of this being a catalyst for a healthier lifestyle is positive.

Being fired or losing our job is negative (not the change we wanted or chose) but once we accept that our life is going to change one way or the other, we can view this negative as a positive catalyst-- a move we didn't choose for various reasons, but a positive move because otherwise we wouldn't have taken all the risks and uncertainties that go with fashioning another career.

As a species, humanity is approaching the end of the past 200 year period of expansion of energy consumption. In the initial stages of this vast expansion, much of the new energy went into positive improvements: rural electrification, enormous leaps in food production and healthcare, and so on.

But beyond a certain point, energy and resources are being spent on consumption rather than investment, what I call "waste is growth:" once we set energy / resource consumption as the measure of prosperity, vehicles burning fuel in traffic jams, food that has been thrown out, half-empty aircraft and so on are viewed as positive "growth" because more fuel and resources were consumed.

Needless to say, waste is not growth, it's squandering precious resources.
Humans habituate to new conditions with remarkable ease. Conditions that are initially horrific (Gulag prison camps, etc.) are soon just "everyday life."

So humans have habituated to "waste is growth" and consider wasting energy and resources perfectly normal and desirable, as waste is more convenient than conservation and efficiency.

When humans are told 1) hydrocarbons are a limited resource that will soon become more expensive to extract and 2) burning hydrocarbons is ruining the biosphere we all depend on, few humans think "gosh, we should use much less energy."

Instead, they think, "Let's replace those 30 billion barrels of oil, the 30 billion (equivalent) barrels of natural gas and the 30 billion (equivalent) barrels of coal we burn every year with "green energy" that doesn't pollute the biosphere with greenhouse gases and other negative consequences."

Since humans don't like change but they do like novelty, it's very easy to anticipate electric-powered air-taxis (small helicopters), a billion all-electric vehicles, etc., all powered by "green" "renewable" energy sources such as wind turbines and solar panels.

The transition away from hydrocarbons won't require any sacrifices or inconvenience, it will be a seamless transition from the petroleum-fueled vehicle to the electric vehicle, from gas-fired generators to solar/wind and batteries, and so on.

Everything in the new energy system will naturally be recyclable.

Unfortunately, the anticipated seamless transition to all renewable energy is magical thinking in virtually every way.

Renewables are not actually renewable, they wear out and must be replaced, so they are "replaceable" not "renewable."

All these "replaceable" energy sources consume staggering amounts of minerals, metals and energy to be constructed, maintained, and replaced every 10 to 20 years.
(The theoretical lifespan is claimed to be 30 years, but the real-world lifespan is consequentially less.)

Since all these "replaceable" energy sources are diffuse and intermittent, the energy they generate fluctuates across a wide range and must be concentrated to be stored /used in batteries or mechanical storage (reservoirs with hydro-powered generators, etc.) or chemical storage (converting electricity into hydrogen to be used as a fuel).

The billions of batteries required to store all this electrical energy must also be replaced every decade or so, and recycling batteries is difficult and costly. There is nothing remotely "green" about mining the planet for lithium, cobalt, etc. or manufacturing billions of batteries.

"Let’s Not Blow Up a Mountain and Call It Green"

As for recycling: a tiny percentage of the "replaceable" energy sources or batteries are being recycled because it's too difficult and costly.

The scale required to replace 90 billion barrels of hydrocarbons with diffuse, intermittent energy sources and batteries is difficult to grasp.

Here is the reality:

"The annual output of Tesla's Gigafactory, the world's largest battery factory, could store three minutes' worth of annual U.S. electricity demand. It would require 1,000 years of production to make enough batteries for two days' worth of U.S. electricity demand. Meanwhile, 50–100 pounds of materials are mined, moved, and processed for every pound of battery produced."
This report succinctly summarizes the physical limits of wind and solar efficiencies and the impossibility of replacing all hydrocarbons with energy sources that require millions of tons of minerals, metals, concrete, etc., are not recyclable and that must be replaced every generation. The "New Energy Economy": An Exercise in Magical Thinking

This report summarizes why it's impossible to obtain all the minerals/metals required: The Mining of Minerals and the Limits to Growth
The Delusion of Infinite Economic Growth: Even "sustainable" technologies such as electric vehicles and wind turbines face unbreachable physical limits and exact grave environmental costs.

If you prefer a video presentation, Nate Hagens compresses 15 years of research into 2 hours and 50 minutes: Earth and Humanity: Myth and Reality (2:50 hours)
There are many other resources that report the same physical realities: mining, smelting and transporting the millions of tons of materials required will be catastrophic for the environment, as it can only be accomplished by burning hydrocarbons and laying waste to the planet.

As for nuclear power: India has invested billions of dollars and years in trying to complete a full-scale thorium reactor, so far without success; to replace all hydrocarbon energy with nuclear-generated electricity ,the U.S. would have to bring a new reactor online every week for years. There hasn't been a single new reactor built in decades, so this is the acme of magical thinking.

It's much easier to sell change if it's easy, convenient, cheap and doesn't require sacrifices. But this is not how change works.

How change we don't choose works is: "you had a heart attack and almost died. If you want to live longer than a few months, you'll have to completely change your lifestyle, diet and fitness."

Unfortunately, there is virtually nothing easy, convenient or cheap that doesn't require sacrifices about changing your lifestyle from the ground up.

To make the necessary changes, we have to fashion a positive view and different incentives and goals: rather than put mouthfeel and taste above all else, we re-set the incentives to eating the healthiest foods in the tastiest ways. Rather than find excuses for not exercising, we find a form of exercise we like (or at least can tolerate) and that can be folded into a new habit.

We all understand the appeal of magical thinking: rather than go through all the hard work of remaking our lifestyle and daily habits, we put our faith in a "miracle diet" or equivalent.

Humanity's resistance to needed change is understandable, but the irony is we quickly habituate to whatever changes force themselves on us.

That's our choice with energy and the post-hydrocarbon era ahead. The incentives must change from "waste is growth" to hyper-efficiency, conservation, right to repair and manufactured objects engineered to last a generation or longer and be recyclable at scale.

If we can choose a positive vision and change our incentives and goals, we'll look back and wonder why we clung so fiercely to magical thinking and "waste is growth."

So they're going to use the tax money they take from us at gunpoint to hand to contractors to build low cost housing for preferred groups (POC) and stick them in predominantly white suburbs I'm sure - more points if they stick them in affluent neighborhoods in red states no doubt.

VIDEO: World Economic Forum Chief Says COVID, Climate Change, And ‘Inclusion’ Will Usher In ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’

Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chair of the World Economic Forum, stated in a video message this week that he considers the four biggest challenges to humanity to be COVID, climate change, “inclusion” and “gender parity,” and a “fourth industrial revolution” where presumably the technologies used to address the preceding three issues could be mastered “in order to make them serving humanity and not harming humanity.”

“What I consider the four foremost challenges at this present time, they are COVID of course, climate change, inclusion – and here I would also particular [sic] address gender parity – and finally the fourth industrial revolution, the new technologies, how well can we master some in order to make them serving humanity and not harming humanity,” Schwab pontificated in the video message.

The World Economic Forum has already campaigned to encourage employers to fire unvaccinated employees as part of a global “Jobs Reset,” which will coincide with Schwab’s predicted fourth industrial revolution:
The World Economic Forum indicated Monday that it supports employees being forced to choose between taking one of the four controversial Covid vaccines, or unemployment if they choose to not take the vaccine. After intense backlash, they deleted the initial the tweet and uploaded another post with the same graphic and a tweaked caption.

Get your COVID-19 jab – or you could face consequences from your employer #COVID19 #JobsReset21,” the original tweet posted on Monday read. The tweet was accompanied by a colorful graphic showcasing the purported poll numbers of companies that would fire employees for not taking the vaccine.
The World Economic Forum has also pushed forward the slogan for life in 2030, “I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better.” The “Great Reset” talking point was also promoted by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who described COVID as “our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to re-imagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.”

Investigating The Mass Hysteria Over 1 Degree In Climate Change Since 1850

MONDAY, SEP 06, 2021 - 05:05 PM
Authored by Mike Shedlock via MishTalk.com,

Let's discuss the Physical Science Basis for Climate Change and the media hype over the report.

Inquiring minds are diving into the latest report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Please consider the Climate Change 2021 Report, the Physical Science Basis.

Key Snips
  1. Global surface temperature was 1.09 [0.95 to 1.20] °C higher in 2011– 2020 than 1850–1900, with larger increases over land (1.59 [1.34 to 1.83] °C) than over the ocean (0.88 [0.68 to 1.01] °C). The estimated increase in global surface temperature since AR5 is principally due to further warming since 2003–2012 (+0.19 [0.16 to 0.22] °C). Additionally, methodological advances and new datasets contributed approximately 0.1ºC to the updated estimate of warming in AR6
  2. The likely range of total human-caused global surface temperature increase from 1850–1900 to 2010–2019 is 0.8°C to 1.3°C, with a best estimate of 1.07°C.
  3. Global mean sea level increased by 0.20 [0.15 to 0.25] m between 1901 and 2018. The average rate of sea level rise was 1.3 [0.6 to 2.1] mm yr between 1901 and 1971, increasing to 1.9 [0.8 to 2.9] mm yr between 1971 and 2006, and further increasing to 3.7 [3.2 to 4.2] mm yr between 2006 and 2018 (high confidence).
  4. In 2011–2020, annual average Arctic sea ice area reached its lowest level since at least 1850 (high confidence). Late summer Arctic sea ice area was smaller than at any time in at least the past 1000 years (medium confidence). The global nature of glacier retreat, with almost all of the world’s glaciers retreating synchronously, since the 1950s is unprecedented in at least the last 2000 years (medium confidence).
  5. It is likely that the global proportion of major (Category 3–5) tropical cyclone occurrence has increased over the last four decades, and the latitude where tropical cyclones in the western North Pacific reach their peak intensity has shifted northward; these changes cannot be explained by internal variability alone (medium confidence). There is low confidence in long-term (multi-decadal to centennial) trends in the frequency of all-category tropical cyclones.
  6. Global surface temperature will continue to increase until at least the mid-century under all emissions scenarios considered. Global warming of 1.5°C and 2°C will be exceeded during the 21st century unless deep reductions in CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions occur in the coming decades.
  7. It is very likely that heavy precipitation events will intensify and become more frequent in most regions with additional global warming. At the global scale, extreme daily precipitation events are projected to intensify by about 7% for each 1°C of global warming (high confidence).
  8. It is virtually certain that global mean sea level will continue to rise over the 21st century. Relative to 1995-2014, the likely global mean sea level rise by 2100 is 0.28-0.55 m under the very low GHG emissions scenario (SSP1-1.9), 0.32-0.62 m under the low GHG emissions scenario (SSP1-2.6), 0.44-0.76 m under the intermediate GHG emissions scenario (SSP2-4.5), and 0.63-1.01 m under the very high GHG emissions scenario (SSP5-8.5), and by 2150 is 0.37-0.86 m under the very low scenario (SSP1-1.9), 0.46- 0.99 m under the low scenario (SSP1-2.6), 0.66-1.33 m under the intermediate scenario (SSP2-4.5), and 0.98-1.88 m under the very high scenario (SSP5-8.5) (medium confidence).
Changes in Global Surface Temperatures

Key Snip Synopsis
  • Temperatures have risen a a best estimate of 1.07°C since 1850 due to man-made causes.
  • The sea rise between 1971 and 2006 was 1.3 mm per year. That's 0.0511811 inches per year.
  • The sea rise between 2006 and 2018 was 3.7 mm per year. That's 0.145669 inches per year.
  • Under all emissions scenarios, global warming of 1.5°C and 2°C will be exceeded during the 21st century.
Future Emissions Projections

Future Emissions Projections Table

Future Emissions "What If?"
  • If by some miracle we follow the SSP 1-1.9 row in the table, the current best estimate is temperatures will rise anyway until 2100 by 1.4 degrees.
  • According to row SSP 2-4.5, if there is no further progress at all until 2050, temperatures would only rise an additional 1.3 degrees vs SSP 1-1.9.
  • Under SSP 1-2.6, there's a mere 0.4 degrees difference from a very radical effort to cut emissions to 0 by 2050!
Media Can’t Handle the Climate Truth
Please consider the WSJ Op-Ed Media Can’t Handle the Climate Truth
After 41 years of promoting a fuzzy and unsatisfying estimate of how much warming might result from a doubling of atmospheric CO2, the world’s climate science arbiter has finally offered the first real improvement in the history of modern climate science.
The U.N. panel now says the dire emissions scenario it promoted for two decades should be regarded as highly unlikely, with more plausible projections at least a third lower.
The report also notes, as the press never does, the full impact of these emissions won’t be manifested until decades, even a century, later. The ultimate likely worst-case effect of a doubling of CO2 might be 4 degrees, but the best estimate of the “transient climate response” this century is about 2.7 degrees, or 1.6 degrees on top of the warming experienced since the start of the industrial age.

You might not wish this on your least-favorite planet, but compare it with media coverage of the U.S. National Climate Assessment in 2018, which paraded as a nearly foregone conclusion a temperature increase of 6.1 degrees.

This week’s massive rainstorm in the Northeast reflexively was described as a consequence of climate change. Never mind that heavy rains always happened and, in any case, climate policy can’t be a solution for a New York City storm-drain system designed not to withstand a five-year storm, let alone a 100-year storm.

Or take the U.S. government’s claim that July was the hottest month on record. Unmentioned in any news report that I could find, the margin of error in this measurement was 10 times as large as the purported difference over the previously claimed hottest month of July 2016.
Code Red For Humanity?
The words most quoted in the press weren’t found in the U.N. report or even its executive summary. They were the claims of a pair of U.N. officials that the report heralded a “code red for humanity” and, even more devoid of meaning, that “no one is safe” from a warming planet.
Even if you believe the science, the one thing neither the media nor any panels like to discuss is costs.

Economically Crazy

World Will End in 12 Years
Also recall AOC's shocking revelation World Will End in 12 Years if we don't act on climate change.

AOC says that was "hyperbole". Play the clip. She sure sounded serious, and got a huge round of applause to boot.

Moreover, look at the absurd details of her plan that I outlined above. She sure acts serious as well.

Cost Comparison
The cost of following scenario SSP 1-1.9 would be in the tens of trillions of dollars if not higher. The alleged benefit is 0.4 degrees by 2100, phased in over roughly 80 years.

The cost of following SSP 1-2.6 is arguably little. We may very well already be on a path to reduce emissions by 50% by 2050.

AOC wants an 80% reduction by 2030 and 100% by 2035. That is far more radical than SSP 1-1.9.

It's also economically crazy. I believe, anything beyond SSP 1-2.6 is economically crazy.

New Prophets of Doom
Al Gore, AOC, president Biden, John Kerry, and Gretta are the new prophets of doom.

Every decade has them.

AOC and Gretta are the new torch bearers.

Mainstream media always goes along with the hype and the new torch bearers, no matter what the story.

Code Red for the Opportunists!
"Code Red" is the drumbeat of of the progressives and those who stand to stand to benefit from trillions of dollars of spending thrown at the impossible idea stopping of climate change.

The media is behind every "Code Red" story because it attracts eyes. "Code Red" on Iraq led most into believing the nonsensical "weapons of mass destruction" story got got us into Iraq and Afghanistan for 20 years.

If we follow this "Code Red", costs of everything will soar and GDP will sink.

How to Avoid a Carbon-Based Global Trade War in Simple Steps
There are two plans that address how to avoid a carbon-based global trade war.

In How to Avoid a Carbon-Based Global Trade War in Simple Steps, World Trade Online presents one idea. I present another, far simpler idea.

Stagflation Threat of Climate Hysteria
The Stagflation Threat of Climate Hype is very real but Congress holds the key.

Only two Democratic Senators, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema of Arizona stand in the way of a real disaster.

Fortunately, Senator Manchin Seeks "Strategic Pause on Reconciliation"

Did Biden's Green New Budget Just Die?
Let's hope so.

Meanwhile, it's futile to attack the science whether you believe it or not, so just accept it.

Instead, openly embrace the idea of 0.4 degrees by 2100. Alternatively, point to the chart of what happens if we delay further progress until 2050.

Then attack the obvious economic stupidity of what those like AOC propose to do about it.

Statistical Method Used to Link Climate Change to Greenhouse Gases Challenged

By Nathan Worcester
September 6, 2021 Updated: September 6, 2021

An important new study in “Climate Dynamics” has criticized a key methodology that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) uses to attribute climate change to greenhouse gases, raising questions about the validity of research that relied on it and prompting a response from one of the scientists who developed the technique.

The new study’s author, economist Ross McKitrick, told The Epoch Times in an exclusive interview that he thinks his results have weakened the IPCC’s case that greenhouse gases cause climate change.

The methodology, known as “optimal fingerprinting,” has been used to link greenhouse gases to everything from temperature to forest fires, precipitation, and snow cover.

McKitrick compared optimal fingerprinting to the way law enforcement officers use fingerprinting to identify criminals.

“[They] take this big smudge of data and say, ‘Yeah, the fingerprints of greenhouse gas are on it,’” he said.

McKitrick said the optimal fingerprinting research he criticized, 1999’s paper in Climate Dynamics “Checking for model consistency in optimal fingerprinting,” is a “cornerstone of the field of attribution”—the branch of climate science focused on identifying the causes of climate change.

But according to McKitrick, the authors of that paper, Myles Allen and Simon Tett, made errors in the steps needed to validate their strategy.

“When you do a statistical analysis, it’s not enough just to crunch some numbers and publish the result and say, ‘This is what the data tell us.’ You then have to apply some tests to your modeling technique to see if it’s valid for the kind of data you’re using,” he said.

“They claimed that their model passes all the relevant tests—but there are a couple of problems with that claim,” he continued. “The first is they stated the conditions wrong—they left most of the relevant conditions out that you’re supposed to test—and then they proposed a methodology for testing that is completely uninformative. It’s not actually connected to any standard testing method.”

Their framework, McKitrick said, also assumes that a major chunk of climate change has to be attributable to greenhouse gases—so using it to prove that greenhouse gases lead to climate change is meaningless.

“You’re dependent on climate model data to construct the test—and the climate model already embeds the assumptions about the role of greenhouse gases,” said McKitrick. “You can’t relax that assumption.”

McKitrick, who explained his results in more technical detail at JudithCurry.com, said the IPCC’s attribution of climate change to greenhouse gases is largely based on the 1999 paper or closely related research with the same problems.

Myles Allen, one of the two coauthors of the 1999 paper that McKitrick has challenged, responded to McKitrick’s paper in an email to The Epoch Times.

“Fully addressing the issues raised by this paper might have made some difference to conclusions regarding human influence on climate when the signal was still quite weak 20 years ago,” said Allen.

According to Allen, however, the signal is now much stronger whether one uses his 1999 technique or the simpler method employed at globalwarmingindex.org.

He also said that newer methods, including one in his own 2003 paper, have superseded the method from 1999.

“To be a little light-hearted, it feels a bit like someone suggesting we should all stop driving because a new issue has been identified with the Model-T Ford,” Allen said.

“Even if it were true that [Allen’s method] is no longer used and people have moved on to other methods, [given] its historical prominence it would still be necessary as a scientific matter for Simon and Myles either to concede their paper contains errors or rebut the specific criticisms,” said McKitrick in an emailed response to Allen’s argument.

“And the reality is the climate profession hasn’t moved on,” McKitrick said. “The IPCC still discusses the Optimal Fingerprinting method in the AR6 and relies on many papers that use it.”

While Allen argued that his later 2003 paper superseded his 1999 paper, McKitrick responded that the 2003 paper, along with other more recent methods that Allen identified, “has all the same problems” as the 1999 paper.

McKitrick also argued that the method at globalwarmingindex.org may have the same issues as Allen’s 1999 paper, in large part because both studies cite a 1997 study from Klaus Hasselman that, in McKitrick’s words, “[proposed] the same [method].”

“Thus by Myles’ [Allen’s] own examples AT99 is still central to the attribution literature,” said McKitrick.

Allen argued that McKitrick’s criticism of his use of a climate model is misguided, as his 1999 method may actually be “overly conservative” in attributing climate change to human influence.

According to Allen, standard climate models may yield results in which the amount of statistical “noise,” and thus uncertainty, is overstated.

This rebuttal, said McKitrick, “does not address the core problem I point out,” which has to do with testing for errors in their fingerprinting calculations.

Allen and McKitrick also sparred over a specific statistical test in the 1999 paper, with Allen saying McKitrick had greatly overstated its importance and McKitrick countering that it is the only such test researchers have used in this context.

Attribution researcher Aurélien Ribes, whose papers were among those Allen claimed had superseded the 1999 research, declined to comment on the paper in detail in an email to The Epoch Times, though he said he had looked at an earlier version of it.

“I do not expect a very large impact in terms of attribution results,” said Ribes, a climate change researcher at France’s National Centre for Meteorological Research.

He said that some of his own research was not dependent on fingerprinting. He also claimed that certain attribution findings, such as on global mean temperature, are “very robust.”

But another expert, Richard Tol, believes much of McKitrick’s criticism is on the mark.

“McKitrick is right,” said Tol, a professor of economics at the University of Sussex and a professor of the economics of climate change at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, in an email to The Epoch Times.

Tol explained that Allen and Tett’s attempt to address a widespread statistical issue had “made things worse, not better.”

“To top it all off, many people have since used the method proposed by Allen & Tett,” he added.

“The implications are unclear,” Tol continued. “Many of the papers that use the fingerprinting method to detect the impact of climate change are simply wrong,”
“That does not mean that climate change is not real or that its effects cannot be attributed to greenhouse gas emissions. It means that many of the papers that made such claims will have to be redone.”

Jeb Bush Wants 'Action' on Climate Change and I Can't Stop Laughing at the Cringe

Jeb Bush has returned to brighten your Labor Day weekend with a message: It’s time for Republicans to take “action” on climate change.

Yes, with everything that’s going on right now, including the country being led off a cliff by Joe Biden, 2016’s low-energy candidate has his finger on the pulse.

Inflation, American hostages in Afghanistan, the border crisis, etc. pale in comparison to the urgent need to tax carbon and spend more money we don’t have on useless green energy projects.

But it’s not just the message that’s dumb. It’s also the presentation. Bush decided to play off his infamous “please clap” moment and it’s hilarious in a “laughing at you, not with you” kind of way.

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1434916552160288769
.10 min

So I have some thoughts on this.

To start, the fact that Bush is trying to be awkward and funny here doesn’t make it any less cringe in presentation. Some people can make fun of themselves and come out looking cooler on the other end. Jeb Bush is not one of those people.

Instead, I’m left being reminded what a bullet the country dodged when he flopped during the 2016 Republican primary. This man was never ready for primetime.

Regardless, and more importantly, what exactly does taking action on climate change look like? We are seeing this message come from more and more Republicans, but it always comes with a healthy covering of vagueness. As far as I can tell, Bush supports a carbon tax and wants to “invest” in “infrastructure” to fight global warming. That makes him decidedly liberal on the issue, but how far he’s truly willing to go is a bit of a mystery.

Yet, as a question of politics, his positioning is just stupid and nonsensical.

Imagine thinking now is the time to hand the left a victory on one of its key issues. Further, the United States continues to cut its emissions without overbearing taxes or more deficit spending. The problem remains in Asia, with China and India doing the opposite. Europe has also largely flat-lined despite all their virtue signaling on the issue.

In short, many Americans are not up for self-inflicted pain if it won’t even make a statistical difference in solving the problem that supposedly exists, at least according to Bush and his Democrat allies.

Any discussion of climate change, and that’s assuming one even agrees it’s a problem (humanity has adapted its entire existence, after all), should be in the context of what will actually make a difference, not just what will make people feel better about themselves. Bush, despite being a proponent of action on climate change for years, has yet to really show how his proposals will accomplish anything. That’s a problem many Republicans have shared regarding a variety of issues.

Anyway, please clap.

The Great Reset Demands Firing All Unvaccinated Employees

by Dr. Joseph Mercola
September 7, 2021

The Great Reset Demands Firing All Unvaccinated Employees

STORY AT-A-GLANCE
  • The Great Reset has been called a conspiracy theory by many, despite specific plans published on the World Economic Forum (WEF) website and partnerships between the WEF and global organizations like the United Nations and World Health Organization
  • An investigative report asserts that the ongoing restructuring of processes that control food and data are upending traditional practices so private corporations have more control and influence than democratically elected government
  • A part of the Great Reset is a reset of the economy, including jobs. Many across the U.S. are facing unemployment if they do not choose to take a genetic therapy experiment in the form of a COVID-19 vaccine
  • Employees of six major hospitals in Cincinnati, Ohio, have filed a lawsuit, hoping to stop the mandated vaccine, which health experts are promoting with inconsistent messages, first claiming it does not stop community transmission; yet, requiring it for employment under the guise of preventing the spread of infection
Over the past year and a half, I’ve written many articles detailing the evidence supporting the claim that the COVID pandemic is a ruse to usher in a new system of global centralized governance by unelected leaders, the so-called Great Reset.

The recent release of the House Foreign Affairs Committee report1 entitled, “The Origins of COVID-19: An Investigation of the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” presented solid evidence that many of the “conspiracy theories” about the virus were in fact true. For example, using some intelligence reports and other public documents, the committee found that:2

“… we now believe it’s time to completely dismiss the wet market as the source of the outbreak. We also believe the preponderance of the evidence proves the virus did leak from the WIV and that it did so sometime before September 12, 2019.”

They presented evidence of genetic modification and wrote this:3

“This report also lays out ample evidence that researchers at the WIV, in conjunction with U.S. scientists and funded by both the PRC [People’s Republic of China] government and the U.S. government, were conducting gain of-function research on coronaviruses at the WIV …

In many instances, the scientists were successful in creating ‘chimeric viruses’ — or viruses created from the pieces of other viruses — that could infect human immune systems.

With dangerous research like this conducted at safety levels similar to a dentist’s office, a natural or genetically modified virus could have easily escaped the lab and infected the community.”

The idea of the Great Reset may feel like a conspiracy theory, especially if life as you know it where you live has not dramatically changed. You still go to work, buy food, go to the gym, go out to eat and attend events. There may be people wearing masks, and you may see or hear news reports about vaccine mandates and vaccine passports, but it hasn’t reached your employer and you may not be personally affected … yet.

But, make no mistake, unless we all do our part to peacefully protest the changes being planned, write to our legislatures, and talk to our neighbors and friends, what is happening in New York,4 France,5 Germany6 and Israel,7 will soon be knocking on your front door.

Does ‘Great Reset’ Sound Like a Conspiracy? It May Be Worse
An article titled, “Welcome To 2030: I Own Nothing, Have No Privacy and Life Has Never Been Better” appeared in Forbes Magazine8 in November 2016. It was written by Ida Auken, a member of the Denmark Parliament9 and agenda contributor at the World Economic Forum (WEF).10

The article was frightening in the simplistic way it describes the dissolution of society as we know it. And, as time marches forward, we see more evidence of what the WEF has proposed as “perfect sense”11 coming true.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested in September 2020 what other world leaders have also promoted12 — that the COVID-19 virus, that has killed and devastated the health of many people, provided the world is an:13

“… opportunity for a reset … our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to re-imagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.”

More than 20 world leaders came together to suggest, “At a time when COVID-19 has exploited our weaknesses and divisions, we must seize this opportunity and come together as a global community for peaceful cooperation that extends beyond this crisis.”14 And while that sounds noble, altruistic and humanitarian, it is the plan for the future that is in stark contrast to the statement.

Ivan Wecke, a journalist from Open Democracy, did a deep dive into some of what lies behind the WEF’s Great Reset plan and found what he called something “almost as sinister hiding in plain sight. In fact, more sinister because it’s real and it’s happening now. And it involves things as fundamental as our food, our data and our vaccines.”15

Although Wecke discounts the plans of the Great Reset to abolish private property, use the virus to solve overpopulation and enslave the remainder of humanity as “nebulous and hard to pin down,” he goes on to illustrate in detail how the fundamental structure of the world that controls food and data, and ultimately humanity, is being upended and restructured so that private corporations have more control and influence than governments.

WEF Calls It ‘Stakeholder Capitalism’
It comes down to “stakeholder capitalism,” which are the magic words that Klaus Schwab, WEF chairman, has been promoting for decades, and is a central theme in the organization’s Great Reset plan.16 The concept as Wecke describes it is to transform global capitalism, so corporations create value for stakeholders.17

These stakeholders can be consumers, employees, communities and others. This will be carried out through multi-stakeholder partnerships of governments and private-sector businesses across the globe. As he dug deeper into the concept, it became more apparent that this means giving corporations more power and taking that influence away from democratically elected institutions.

The initial plan was drafted after the 2008 economic crisis and included the vision that governments around the world would be only one influencer in a multi-stakeholder model. When he asked himself who would be the other nongovernmental stakeholders, Wecke only had to look at the WEF partners that meet each year in Davos, Switzerland.

These partners are some of the biggest companies in oil, food, technology and pharmaceuticals. In other words, the companies that could ultimately restructure society and control the supply chain are those that provide everyday necessities.

These proposed concepts appear to have started taking shape in a strategic partnership agreement which the WEF signed with the United Nations in 2019.

Harris Gleckman, senior fellow at the Center for Governance and Sustainability from the University of Massachusetts18 calls this move an inroad to creating a place for corporations inside the United Nations.19

The WEF is using the concept of multi-stakeholders to change the current system that countries use today to work together. This multilateral system may not always be effective and may have too many layers of bureaucracy, but Wecke says it is “theoretically democratic because it brings together democratically elected leaders of countries to make decisions in the global arena.”20

Big Tech May Run the Roadmap for Digital Cooperation
What’s really happening here, though, is the move toward placing unelected stakeholders in positions of power does not deepen democracy but, rather, puts decision making in the hands of financially focused corporations. As Wecke points out, this will have real-world implications for how medications are distributed, food systems are organized and how Big Tech is governed.

Under a democratic rule of law, six corporations already control 90% of the news media consumed by Americans. Tech Startups calls this an “illusion of choice and objectivity.”21 How much more propaganda will be thrown in the face of consumers when Big Tech is monitoring and controlling Big Tech?

Big Tech Hates Us

The year 2030 holds significance for the WEF’s vision22 which is to scale technology and facilitate “inclusive growth.” In the fall of 2021, the UN will bring together the Food Systems Summit to achieve sustainable development goals by 2030.23 Yet, Sofia Monsalve of FIAN International, a human rights organization focused on food and nutrition, told Wecke:24

Part 1 of 2

marsh

On TB every waking moment
Part 2 of 2

“’Abandoning pesticides is not on the table. How come?’ asks Sofia Monsalve of FIAN International, a human rights organisation focused on food and nutrition.

‘There is no discussion on land concentration or holding companies accountable for their environmental and labour abuses.’ This fits into a bigger picture Monsalve sees of large corporations, which dominate the food sector, being reluctant to fix the production system. ‘They just want to come up with new investment opportunities.’”

Wecke also dug into a long list of participants in the 2020 Roadmap For Digital Cooperation25 and found influencers included Microsoft, Google, Facebook and the WEF.26 The functions for the group appear to be vague, but if the group comes to fruition, it will be a decisive victory for those Big Tech companies that have been pushing to expand their power,27 are fighting antitrust rules28 and are facing accusations of tax evasion.29

The move by the UN and WEF has not gone unnoticed. A group of more than 170 civil organizations have signed an open letter30 detailing why they oppose the plan. At a time when stronger regulations are needed to protect consumers, it appears that the new UN digital roadmap may be seeking less.

Firing the Unvaccinated Is the Start of the Great Job Reset
Finally, Wecke addresses the issue of global vaccine distribution.31 Instead of the World Health Organization, which is “the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system,”32 being responsible for vaccine access, another initiative was created called COVAX. According to the WHO, COVAX is co-led by the WHO, UNICEF, CEPI and GAVI.33

As a quick reminder, GAVI (the Vaccine Alliance) and CEPI (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations) have strong ties with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the WEF and are connected with large pharmaceutical companies such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca and more.34

The influence these groups have on the global distribution of the COVID vaccine may have been best illustrated when South Africa and India requested a temporary lift on the rules governing intellectual property to increase manufacturing and distribution to developing countries. Wecke reports35 that although the WHO director-general publicly said that he backed a proposal, others in the COVAX initiative strongly opposed it, and it didn’t happen.

There appears to be enough vaccines available in industrialized nations for the WEF to support any and all employees being fired if they choose not to take the vaccine. The National File36 published a tweet the WEF made in May 2021 which said, “Get your COVID-19 jab — or you could face consequences from your employer #COVID19 #JobsReset21.”

Additionally, the WEF had posted an article37 on their website that made a variety of claims about the percentage of companies that would require employees to be vaccinated and juxtaposed mental health concerns and burnout through the pandemic with being unvaccinated in the article.

After intense backlash, the tweet was deleted and replaced with a question, “Will employees be required to get the COVID-19 vaccination?”38 The new post quickly filled with screen shots of the original post.

Two Cities Promising to Fire Employees
Even before the FDA announced their approval of the Pfizer vaccine,39 Cincinnati, Ohio, area hospital systems had announced that starting October 1, 2021, all health care workers and volunteers are required to be vaccinated.

Among those participating in the vaccine mandate are the University of Cincinnati Health, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and the Christ Hospital Health Network.40

Health care workers in Cincinnati have now filed a lawsuit against six of the hospital systems saying requiring vaccines for employment is unlawful and violates workers’ Constitutional rights. The lawsuit says, “When there was no vaccine, the workers had to go to work. They were heroes. Now that there is a vaccine, they have to get the vaccine or be fired. Now they are ‘zeros.’”41

April Hoskins is a lab assistant at St. Elizabeth Edgewood who has worked for 20 years in family practice and hospital oncology. She told a reporter from WLWT5,42 “You’ve trusted us this whole time to take care of these patients, unvaccinated, without the proper PPE. And now out of nowhere, you have to get it or you’re going to be terminated? Like, something is wrong with that picture.”

August 23, 2021, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that all public school teachers and staff would be required to have at least one dose of the vaccine by September 27, 2021, or they would no longer have a job. Not soon afterward, the United Federation of Teachers union issued a statement from union president Michael Mulgrew reiterating their desire and priority to keep the students and teachers safe. He went on to say:43

“While the city is asserting its legal authority to establish this mandate, there are many implementation details, including provisions for medical exceptions, that by law must be negotiated with the UFT and other unions, and if necessary, resolved by arbitration.”

It Is Important to Point Out the Inconsistencies
This was the second announcement from de Blasio, who first mandated vaccinations for approximately 400,000 employees in the Department of Education, New York Police Department and the Fire Department of New York.44 In tandem with New York, California Long Beach Unified School District also announced mandatory vaccinations, as has Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot for all Chicago Public School employees by October 15, 2021.

New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy also announced mandatory vaccinations or twice-weekly testing requirements for all state employees, effective October 18. It is clear that as different states and municipalities add their own mandates, it’s essential to be aware of what is happening in your local and regional areas, as well as to speak up at public meetings and demand public hearings on the matter.

The mayor of Orland Park, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, describes an example of how decisions behind closed doors can have a different outcome than those in public.45 He also says what is happening now is about “our processes, Constitutionality and the rule of law.”

The inconsistencies from health experts are deafening. Even the World Health Organization advises people who are vaccinated to continue wearing masks due to the Delta variant because “vaccine alone won’t stop community transmission.”46 Simultaneously, the public is told that everyone needs the vaccine to prevent spread of the infection47 and if you have the vaccine, you can still spread the virus and put others at risk.48

Each person has a responsibility to speak up, share information and ensure that as people make up their minds about vaccination, vaccine passports, civil liberties and the right to free speech, they have all the information they need and not just what’s shared in mainstream media.

To that end, I encourage you to share my articles with your friends and family. As you know, they are removed from the website 48 hours after publication. Please copy and paste the information, with the sources, and share it!

Quinn: "This War On COVID Will Never End"

TUESDAY, SEP 07, 2021 - 05:20 PM
Authored by Jim Quinn via The Burning Platform blog,
“Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galations 6

“I have certain rules I live by. My first rule: I don’t believe anything the government tells me. Sooner or later the people in this country are going to realize: the government does not give a **** about them. The government doesn’t care about you, or your children, or your rights, or your welfare, or your safety. It simply doesn’t give a **** about you. It’s interested in its own power. That’s the only thing keeping it and expanding it wherever possible.”
George Carlin
In a previous article – Cascade of Consequences – I attempted to make the case the ruthless billionaire oligarchs and their bought off lackey whores in government, media, academia, corporations, the military industrial complex, sickcare industry, and Federal Reserve have used this engineered covid pandemia to further consolidate and expand their wealth, power and control over a frightened, willfully ignorant, compliant populace. In the month since that article the “powers that be” have ramped up the fear, increased their coercive mandates, reinstated mask mandates, and instituted vaccine passports in liberal bastion cities across America.

I see these ham-handed authoritarian dictates as a sign of weakness and their false narrative falling apart. A sense of desperation wafts from the halls of power in DC, corporate executive suites, and left-wing media outlets on the coasts who have overplayed their tyrannical hand. Resistance is building among an irate minority of critical thinking individuals who follow George Carlin’s first rule.

Their narrative is unraveling as everything they have avowed to be true is being revealed to be false. No matter how many truth tellers Facebook, Twitter and Youtube censor, de-platform, and suppress, there are many more stepping up and destroying their mendacious provably false plot line. Despite half the country, indoctrinated by the government education system to feel rather than think, still shuddering in fear despite being double jabbed, voluntarily locked down and masked, the global elite game plan is self-destructing under the weight of an avalanche of deceptions.

Despite an all out authoritarian fear campaign, to mandate these unproven dangerous gene therapies disguised as vaccines, orchestrated by our corrupt political class, bought off medical industry, Big Tech censorship media outlets, woke mega-corporations, cowardly universities, and left wing fake news propaganda outlets, more than 40% of the population is resisting this tyrannical medical apartheid.

This past week had a surreal quality as false narrative after false narrative was annihilated by unequivocal facts presented by a minority of truth-seeking bloggers, uncaptured doctors (Robert Malone, Pierre Kory, Martin Kuldorff), and a few remaining real journalists (Glenn Greenwald, Tucker Carlson, Alex Berenson, Joe Rogan). The mainstream media and their social media co-conspirators are nothing but highly compensated mouthpieces for the Deep State, Big Pharma, and the billionaire oligarchs calling the shots.

The resistance is coming from alternative media websites, independent bloggers, and individuals seeking the truth. Online communities of like- minded individuals are the modern-day Committees of Correspondence, as we head towards inevitable conflict. A revolution is in the offing and those trapped in their own cognitive dissonance trance, with a dash of normalcy bias, are going to be shocked out of their self-induced stupor by the suddenness and extreme violence of the push back set in motion by the power elite.

These sociopath global tyrants actually believe they can dictate and control the actions of seven billion human beings through their capture of politicians, the military, universities, corporations, the banking system, the media and now the medical industrial complex. The maniacal determination of those controlling the levers of power behind the scenes to coerce these “experimental” gene therapies upon the populations of the developed world should make any critical thinking person pause and ask why.

This flu has a 99.7% survival rate and has a fatality rate less than the annual flu for those under 21. But universities are mandating vaccination to attend their $60,000 per year woke indoctrination centers to get a degree in gender fluidity studies. Meanwhile, with vaccination rates of 98% on campuses, “cases” from the worthless recalled (as of 12/31) PCR test are surging. The Big Pharma captured vaxx cheerleaders in the medical and media industry do not allow the facts to interfere with their scripted narrative. Their solution – vaxx harder and blame those who choose to let their immune systems do their job for the “surge” in cases. Why not go with the Big Lie – it has worked so well thus far.

The truth is cases peaked in early January at 260,000 per day. Miraculously, with virtually no one vaccinated, daily cases fell by 60% in the next month to 110,000 per day. By early March, with only a 10% national vaccination rate, daily cases fell by another 40% to 64,000, down 75% from the January peak. The vaccine had absolutely nothing to do with this decline in cases.

By early summer this pandemic had lost its mojo. The threat of a return to normal was unthinkable to the power elite.

Their master plan called for the vaccination of all. But less than 50% of the adult population had succumbed to the fear propaganda campaign. It was time for Biden and his controllers to turn up the heat on corporations, hospitals and universities to enforce vaccine mandates by either bribing them with Federal funds or threatening to withhold Federal funds. Money talks. The un-Constitutional demand that employees and students inject themselves with an untested chemical concoction to retain their jobs or get an education is legally, morally, and medically unethical, violating the Nuremberg Code.

They invented their new variant – Delta – and rolled out our present-day Mengele, mass murderer Anthony Fauci, to lie, obfuscate, and instill fear in his feeble-minded worshipers. Day after day Fauci appeared on the fake news networks promoting his new variant, which many renowned doctors, including one of the inventors of the mRNA vaccines – Dr. Robert Malone, theorize has been created and made more infectious by the vaccines. Are they that diabolical or just plain stupid? Natural immunity through infection has proven to be 20x as effective as the vaccines.

With a huge surge in testing, they were able to generate an increase in cases, but with 50% less hospitalizations and deaths, than when cases were at the same level in January. And now the cases have peaked on the same timeline as India and the UK experienced in June/July. This explains the desperate nature of their actions, as their window of opportunity is closing, and their fear narrative unravels. There are millions of people beginning to make a stand against the government and employer authoritarian mandates.

This past week has not been a good one for the purveyors of pandemia, as their story line collapses under the weight of their duplicity. The entire case for vaccinations (not the revisionist history case being made today) was they were 96% effective in keeping you from contracting the Covid virus. In January that was what we were told by the “experts” like Fauci and Walensky. They did not tout the vaccines as a way to reduce the symptoms when you still caught it, after being vaccinated.

The surge in cases was declared to be a “pandemic of the unvaccinated” in the shame campaign peddled by the fake news media and government apparatchiks spouting provable falsities. It seems Israel has become ground zero in destroying the globalist narrative. As the first country to mass vaccinate, with over 84% fully vaccinated, how could 86% of all the cases in July be among the vaxxed if the vaccinations work? And the tripe about the cases not being as severe has been destroyed, as the vaxxed are being hospitalized and dying too.

Whenever you see the MSM using the term “rare” you can be sure they are lying.

A critical thinking person might wonder which country on this chart is fully vaxxed and which country has very few vaxxed, but distributed ivermectin in mass quantities. The powers that be do not want people to see this chart. If it is posted on Twitter or Facebook, the odds of a permanent ban are high. Facts and truth are treason in an empire of lies.

If you really want to make a vaxx proponent’s head explode, bring up the country that did the opposite of the Soros, Gates, Schwab authoritarian lockdown formula – black sheep Sweden. They never locked down. They never mandated masks. They never closed schools. They never closed businesses. They have not pushed vaccines on those who choose not to vaccinate.

Cases in Israel with mask mandates and vaccine passports are 1,191% higher than Sweden where no one is wearing masks and there are no vaccine passports. How inconvenient to the establishment narrative. Since they can’t deny these facts, they just don’t allow Sweden and India to be discussed. Silence is complicity.

The Joe Rogan saga has again shattered their plot line of the covidian cultists. He had infuriated them previously by telling his young audience they don’t need to be vaccinated. Their survival rate is 99.9975%. The cost/benefit analysis clearly comes down on the side of not getting vaxxed. The fifty-four-year-old un-vaxxed Rogan caught covid and treated himself with monoclonal antibodies, ivermectin, Z-Pak, prednisone, an NAD drip, and a vitamin D drip. He fully recovered in three days.

This was after a full-court press of misinformation from the FDA, Big Pharma media whores, and Silicon Valley censorship police about ivermectin being a dangerous cow and horse medicine. Despite this safe, life saving drug being used by humans for decades and winning a Nobel prize in medicine for its inventor in 2015, it had to be discredited in order to keep the vaccine train chugging along. The 63 studies proving its efficacy in drastically reducing the impact of covid had to be demeaned and derided. When you see this level of vitriol, you know the opposite must be true – time to buy as much ivermectin as you can.

The only thing that infuriates a vaxx disciple more than Sweden or Joe Rogan is the name Ron DeSantis. He has continuously pushed back on the covid fear narrative, telling Fauci and Biden to shove their mandate bullshit and masking of children with no danger from covid. They were cheering on the surge in cases, praying for a mass casualty event in Florida to discredit DeSantis, as he appears to be the front runner in the 2024 presidential race against Kackling Kamala.

Oops. It seems cases in Florida are crashing, down almost 50% in three weeks.

There goes the Deathsantis memes on twitter. The lefty control freaks are in a full, frothing at the mouth, frenzy of hate reminiscent of Orwell’s Two Minutes Hate in which they vent their existential anguish and personal hatreds towards their politically expedient enemies – the un-vaxxed. Meanwhile, in the leftist bastions of Oregon and Hawaii, with high vaccination rates and mandatory masking, cases are soaring to all-time highs. You don’t hear that news from Maddow or Acosta.

Now universities are back in session, with 95% or more of their campuses vaccinated, and cases are exploding higher than last year at this same time.

How could this be if vaccines work?
The vaxx nazis are losing the high ground rapidly. The vaccines do not keep you from contracting covid. They do not keep you from spreading covid. They do not reduce the viral load if you get covid. They don’t keep you from being hospitalized from covid. They don’t even ensure you will not die from covid.

As the narrative police like to say, it is rare that a vaxxed person dies from covid or the vaccine. It is rare to have an adverse reaction to the jab. Of course, there have been more deaths and adverse reactions to these vaccines in eight months than all vaccines combined in the last forty years. So there is that.

The last I checked it was rare to die from covid, unless you are really old and already sick with some other fatal ailment. Only 6% of all the covid deaths were from covid alone. I would classify 40,000 deaths in a population of 330 million to be pretty rare, and by any reasonable assessment should not have invoked a planetary lockdown and mass vaccination of billions of people.

Part 2 of 2

This war on covid is no different than our previous war on poverty, war on drugs, and war on terrorism. All they do is give government more power over our lives, restrict our freedoms, strip our liberties, and abscond with more of our hard-earned dollars. As Orwell foresaw, these wars are never meant to be won, just as Big Pharma never wants to cure any disease.
“The war is not meant to be won; it is meant to be continuous. Hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. … The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects and its object is not the victory over either Eurasia or East Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact.”
– Orwell, 1984

This war on covid will never end. There are a myriad of Greek letters once they have milked Delta dry. Personally, I can’t hear Delta and not be reminded of Animal House and Dean Wormer telling Flounder “Fat, drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son.” If I could give advice to the millions of people who have been deceived by this eighteen-month exercise in dictatorial government tyranny by paraphrasing Dean Wormer, it would be, “Fearful, deluded and willfully ignorant is no way to go through life, people.”

We are approaching a point of no return. If we don’t resist now, we may never get another chance. As the authorities push the limits of their power and trash what remains of our Constitution, we should heed the words of Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn:
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?”

Fauci is already prepping the ignorant masses for the double deadly, extra potent, vaccine resistant Mu variant. They are already doing focus group studies to best scare the bejeezus out of the most people. They must keep the vaccine machine rolling. But why? What is their end game? Australia and New Zealand appear to be the testing ground for turning countries into techno-pharma gulags where you will get your quarterly booster and like it – or else.

This concocted global health scare over a relatively non-lethal virus has been used to destroy our existing economic system and replace it with a Fed created digital currency, universal basic income for the plebs, mandatory bio-surveillance by Big Tech on behalf of the government surveillance state, a Chinese-like social credit system based on your willingness to do as you are told, and a never ending stream of obscene profits for Big Pharma and the oligarchs pulling the levers. You will own nothing, cower in fear, obey, consume and be happy. This is the inconvenient truth, but I already know most will line up for their jabs and the reassuring lies of their masters.

I suppose myself and a few others will stay in the inconvenient truth line until this mass deception and a financial system, built on a foundation of sand as a hurricane approaches, suddenly collapses, because an unsustainable system will not be sustained. I’m not a team player. I don’t follow the crowd. I have a funny thing I do. I think for myself. I invoke Carlin’s first rule and add a second rule.

I don’t believe anything my government says and I never believe anything emanating from the talking heads and vacuous bimbos pretending to be journalists in the legacy corporate media. By disregarding everything these propagandizers spout, I am able to maintain my independence, individuality, and integrity.
“I don’t like ass kissers, flag wavers, or team players. I like people who buck the system. Individualists. I often warn people: Somewhere along the way, someone is going to tell you: ‘There is no I in team.’ What you should tell them is: ‘Maybe not. But there is an I in independence, individuality, and integrity.’”
– George Carlin

“Political correctness is America’s newest form of intolerance, and it is especially pernicious because it comes disguised as tolerance. It presents itself as fairness yet attempts to restrict and control people’s language with strict codes and rigid rules. I’m not sure that’s the way to fight discrimination. I’m not sure silencing people or forcing them to alter their speech is the best method for solving problems that go much deeper than speech.”
– George Carlin
Everything that has reared its ugly head in the last two years, from this covid scheme to force injections into every human being, to the woke mantra being forced down our throats by Hollywood weirdos, to BLM and Antifa terrorists being loosed on our streets, to a presidential election being stolen through the collusion of the Deep State and Big Tech, to the anti-racist lies being peddled to school children, to gender misinformation and glorification of the abnormal and freaks of society, to a military purging itself of normal white males, to demolishing nation states and replacing them with globalist rule, has been part of a larger plan.

The Great Reset is real. They want to tear our society apart to build it back into a dystopian techno-gulag where the few rule over the many. We will not vote our way out of this. Saying just wait until 2022 or 2024 elections is delusional thinking.

I’m not sure how these vaccines play into the broader plan, but when a sociopath like Gates, who has pushed for global population control for decades, is the leading proponent and funder of these vaccines, you should be concerned.

Several prominent physicians have hypothesized that ADE (Anti-body Dependent Enhancement) will negatively impact the health of the vaxxed this Fall, as they enhance new variants and create stronger respiratory diseases. We shall see. Stay tuned.

With inflation now raging out of control in a “transitory” manner, financial markets stretched to the outer limits, debt being created by the Fed and US Treasury at a rate of $350 million per hour, and Congress about to ramp up spending at hyper-speed, a financial crisis of epic proportions looms like storm clouds on the horizon. I see no way out of the predicament we’ve allowed ourselves to create. I don’t see how this teetering edifice of debt, deceit and delusion holds together until the 2022 mid-term elections.

Yeats Second Coming has arrived. Things are falling apart, the center cannot hold, and anarchy will be loosed upon the world. They have planted seeds of discontent and will reap a whirlwind of unintended consequences. A malevolent darkness envelopes our world. I am haunted by the possible dire outcomes of this Fourth Turning. We can’t let the sociopaths destroy our world.

“As the Crisis catalyzes, these fears will rush to the surface, jagged and exposed. Distrustful of some things, individuals will feel that their survival requires them to distrust more things. This behavior could cascade into a sudden downward spiral, an implosion of societal trust. If so, this implosion will strike financial markets—and, with that, the economy.”

“This Fourth Turning could mark the end of man. It could be an omnicidal Armageddon, destroying everything, leaving nothing. If mankind ever extinguishes itself, this will probably happen when its dominant civilization triggers a Fourth Turning that ends horribly. For this Fourth Turning to put an end to all this would require an extremely unlikely blend of social disaster, human malevolence, technological perfection, and bad luck.” – Strauss & Howe – The Fourth Turning

Medical Academics Weigh in on ‘Climate Change,’ Call for Reorganizing ‘Societies and Economies’

A joint editorial by the New England Journal of Medicine and other medical academics around the globe seeks to advance the “climate change” agenda, and it goes beyond reducing emissions to calling for transforming “societies and economies.”

The Orwellian editorial, which was co-written by the British Medical Journal and The Lancet, seeks to put pressure on world leaders ahead of a meeting of the United Nations General Assembly that begins on Sept. 14, as well as those who will be gathering in November at a global climate treaty conference in Glasgow, Scotland.

The editorial reads, in part:
Equity must be at the center of the global response. Contributing a fair share to the global effort means that reduction commitments must account for the cumulative, historical contribution each country has made to emissions, as well as its current emissions and capacity to respond. Wealthier countries will have to cut emissions more quickly, making reductions by 2030 beyond those currently proposed and reaching net-zero emissions before 2050. Similar targets and emergency action are needed for biodiversity loss and the wider destruction of the natural world.

To achieve these targets, governments must make fundamental changes to how our societies and economies are organized and how we live. The current strategy of encouraging markets to swap dirty for cleaner technologies is not enough. Governments must intervene to support the redesign of transport systems, cities, production and distribution of food, markets for financial investments, health systems, and much more. Global coordination is needed to ensure that the rush for cleaner technologies does not come at the cost of more environmental destruction and human exploitation.

Many governments met the threat of the Covid-19 pandemic with unprecedented funding. The environmental crisis demands a similar emergency response. Huge investment will be needed, beyond what is being considered or delivered anywhere in the world. But such investments will produce huge positive health and economic outcomes. These include high-quality jobs, reduced air pollution, increased physical activity, and improved housing and diet. Better air quality alone would realize health benefits that easily offset the global costs of emissions reductions.
The Wall Street Journal reported a fact included in their coverage of the editorial that seems to reveal how little the Earth has warmed:
Greenhouse-gas emissions from human activity have raised global temperatures by 1.1 degrees C since the Industrial Revolution began in the mid-19th century, according to scientific studies.

The effort was organized by the U.K. Health Alliance on Climate Change, a coalition of 21 health organizations including the British Medical Association, the Royal Society of Medicine and the Royal College of Nursing.
Dr. Eric J. Rubin, editor in chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, said about the editorial: “It is an unusual happening and it is driven by unusual circumstances. It is evident that climate change is a problem. What is less evident to people is that it is a public-health problem, not just a physical catastrophe.”

“Health professionals have been on the front-line of the Covid-19 crisis,“ Dr. Fiona Godlee, editor in chief of the British Medical Journal, said in the Journal report. “And they are united in warning that going above 1.5 C and allowing the continued destruction of nature will bring the next, far deadlier crisis.”

“The greatest threat to global public health is the continued failure of world leaders to keep the global temperature rise below 1.5° C and to restore nature,” the editorial concluded. “Urgent, society-wide changes must be made and will lead to a fairer and healthier world. We, as editors of health journals, call for governments and other leaders to act, marking 2021 as the year that the world finally changes course.”

What Exactly Is This ‘Great Reset’ People Keep Talking About?

by Jeff Thompson
September 7, 2021
What Exactly Is This 'Great Reset' People Keep Talking About_

For those who may not know, (and those who do) here is a primer on The Great Reset.

Buckle your seat belts for this one because it’s more chilling than any horror movie you’ve ever seen. You’ve heard your “crazy” friend at work bring it up in conversation. Perhaps you heard it briefly mentioned on TV the other day. And now you’re left wondering, “Just what on earth is The Great Reset?”

Meet the World Economic Forum (WEF)
You’ve heard of the WEF before. They’ve been in the news quite a bit for the past year or so. The reason? The Great Reset initiative. It is there that a man by the name of Klaus Schwab runs the show. Schwab founded the WEF and is one of the most powerful men in the world.

Each year the World Economic Forum hosts an event at a ski resort in the mountains of Switzerland where “the self-proclaimed global elite” meet to discuss global problems they can all work together to “fix.”

Generally, WEF invites 1500 people from roughly 70 countries to attend. All the attendees play major roles in various sectors of society, with a large portion of those invited being major players in the worlds of politics and business.

In 2020, Schwab released a book titled COVID-19: The Great Reset, in which he lays out his plans for what he believes needs to happen next.

Now, let’s talk about Agendas
First, you need to understand one thing: the World Economic Forum and the United Nations march together hand in hand. In short, they’re two sides of the same coin.

The United Nations previously announced two separate agendas eerily similar to The Great Reset that contain many of the same components. These two UN agendas, Agenda 21 and Agenda 2030, include plans for what needs to happen on earth by 2021 and 2030 (there’s also an Agenda 2050, by the way).

Agenda 2030 has publicly stated goals of promoting racial and gender equality, eradicating global poverty, and abolishing violence, hate, and war from the globe. It also states it will reduce natural resource use in every country and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in every industrialized country.

And how do you suppose Agenda 2030 would accomplish those goals?
Suppose you’re a lumberjack. A global organization has just stated you’re no longer permitted to cut down trees to “reduce natural resource use.” You’re now out of a job and can’t afford to feed your newborn daughter.

Or, let’s say you’re a farmer. A global organization has just stated that your cows produce too much methane. They’re all slaughtered and left to rot in a field (we’ll get to why later). You’ve now lost a significant investment, your primary source of income, and are out of a job. Farmers in non-industrialized nations are permitted to raise cattle. But you’re an American, so you are not.

Why? Because we need to “reduce greenhouse gas emissions in every industrialized country.”

Here’s another example. You’re an American with unalienable rights, a Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. You have the Declaration of Independence and a long history of fierce protection of freedom. Protection of freedom necessitates the possession of arms.

But now, a global organization has landed troops on your shores. Why? To “abolish violence.” The organization deems your possession of arms as a hindrance to such. Therefore, the organization will take measures against you to abolish violence.

The Great Reset incorporates all these ideas into its plans
Publicly, the WEF states The Great Reset is going to be about completely revamping capitalism.

“Every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed. In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.” – The WEF [source]

The WEF particularly likes to say they want to instigate “stakeholder capitalism,” where the bulk of the private sector works hand in hand with the government. They say that such “will require stronger and more effective governments.” According to the WEF, there are human and financial costs of capitalism not being addressed. [source]

What do you call it when the government owns and controls all private business?

Communism. You call it communism.
And, what happens when capitalism dies?

As Ayn Rand pointed out in her excellent book Capitalism: The Unknown Ideal, man on this earth without capitalism is bound. It’s inseparable from true human freedom. Collectivism leads to further and further slavery every single time.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution
A significant component of The Great Reset is a term Schwab coined back in December 2015 – The Fourth Industrial Revolution. The best way to describe it is to combine The Matrix, Minority Report, and Will Smith’s I, Robot.

According to Schwab, the goal of The Fourth Industrial Revolution is “Ubiquitous, mobile supercomputing. Intelligent robots. Self-driving cars. Neuro-technological brain enhancements. Genetic editing. The evidence of dramatic change is all around us, and it’s happening at exponential speed.”

In short, Schwab wants to turn the world into a digital mecca
Perhaps you don’t care about the above “improvements” – they don’t bother you? Well, let’s continue to delve deeper.

As it is, the WEF has already alluded to the possibility of using an AI to govern humanity. Humans would no longer have elected representatives in office (not that the US has that now, but I digress). Instead, super-powerful AI would determine what supplies went where and what prices would be, and so on.

It’s the surrender of humanity to a machine.

Furthermore, what about these brain enhancements and genetic editing?
Look around at the world before you and what “the powers that be” have forced upon society. In a world full of brain enhancements and genetic editing, do you genuinely think you would still be free to choose?

Remember that The Fourth Industrial Revolution heavily ties in with The Great Reset, which seeks a one-world government. In such a world, should it be decreed under the guise of law that overpopulation is a problem, the ability to genetically edit sterility into 20% of the population becomes a reality. Let’s say the lottery system selects both of your kids. Do you really think they would grant you a say?

Freedom would have long been rotting in the grave in such a world.
Further aspects of The Fourth Industrial Revolution include digital surveillance everywhere, made possible worldwide by 5G (with the hope of utilizing 6G eventually). [source]

There would be no privacy in such a world. It would be Nazi Germany on steroids. Have you read Zamyatin’s dystopian novel We (in many ways, the inspiration for 1984)? Practically, you’d be living in a world of glasshouses.

It’s worth noting that there are several other aspects of TGR that bear mentioning. Consider the following:

Rural populations will be forcibly coerced into urban environments
Allegedly, to combat climate change. In reality, it is to have easier control over potential dissidents. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to leave your farm. The good of the whole compels you, and men who have heartily devoured Mao Zedong’s philosophy on power (“Political power only grows out of the barrel of a gun.”) will be happy to assist you in your mental transition here. [source]

Citizens now rent everything because they own nothing
Aden Tate wrote about what the world would like like without personal property in this article. Aden writes, “Within the World Economic Forum’s Great Reset, the mantra has come out that by the year 2030, ‘you’ll own nothing. And you’ll be happy.’”

The government now owns everything, as a group of men comes in to tell you they are stealing what is rightfully yours. The world falls back to a system of feudalism. The Irish are well-familiarized with how such a system works out. [source]

All media is digital
Climate change, of course. And let’s not forget the recent trend to battle “disinformation’. If everything is digital, it is censorable. This serves as the ultimate means of wholly controlling what it is people read and say. [source]

A Chinese-style social credit system
Good global citizens of the one-world government will have a higher social credit score than the older American who supports those fighting against foreign invaders. These higher scores will permit access to travel “privileges,” better food, and better jobs. And in a world full of brain implants and genetic editing, I wonder what some of the punishments for low-scoring Americans could be? [source]

A digital blockchain currency is now the way forward
Cash becomes a vector of disease, expensive to produce, and inefficient. Of course, this means they can track every purchase you ever make. [source] There is no anonymity of purchases any longer. Given the new ability to pay for food with your palm, the push for using a QR code to pay for anything, and quantum dot tattoos that may be able to store your financial data, this may not be too far off.

What’s for dinner? Bugs and fake, food-like lab products
According to The Great Reset, animals are a “resource-intensive” form of protein. The GR seeks to steer you away from such foods and “towards four main categories of alternatives – aquatic, plant-based, insect-based, and laboratory-cultured.” [source]

The Great Reset and the World Economic Forum are NOT your friends
Should The Great Reset succeed, the world will firmly fall into the grip of a totalitarian government. You will be a slave in every sense of the word, liable to medical experimentation and forced treatments. The state will own your children, and if history serves as a guide, you won’t get to keep them for long. Should the AI determine it’s convenient, your family will be uprooted and transferred to a newly created ghetto.

Forced to ingest chemicals rather than food, you will never know what genetic-altering agents and medications are in those foods.

Your lifelong dream to be a parent could be vaporized as mandates of forced sterility begin. Should woke culture decide masculine men are an issue, would it be outside the scope of the power of a government that owns everything to mandate the creation of eunuchs throughout your town?

Though the rest of the world may have fallen, Americans can never let their country follow suit.

Too much depends upon it.

COVID Unemployment ENDS For 7.5M People Igniting Fear Of Economic Meltdown, The Great Reset Is HERE
Sep 8, 2021

Tim Pool

COVID Unemployment ENDS For 7.5M People Igniting Fear Of Economic Meltdown, The Great Reset Is HERE. Many conservatives think that the end to unemployment benefits will end the labor shortage but that is just not correct. Many people have quit their jobs over personal reasons like family and career path. While the extended Biden benefits certainly played a role is some people refusing to get a job much of the great resignation is due to personal philosophy. Republicans still don't seem to understand what's happening culturally and its a safe bet that with the end of the eviction moratorium the economy may be facing total meltdown

The Road To Decarbonization: Visualizing The United States Electricity Mix

SATURDAY, SEP 11, 2021 - 10:00 PM

The U.S. response to climate change and decarbonization is ramping up, and putting a focus on the country’s electricity mix.

As pressure has increased for near-term and immediate action after the UN’s latest IPCC report on climate change, major economies are starting to make bolder pledges. For the United States, Visual Capitalist's Omri Wallach notes that includes a carbon pollution-free utilities sector by 2035.

But with 50 states and even more territories—each with different energy sources readily available and utilized—some parts of the U.S. are a lot closer to carbon-free electricity than others.

How does each state’s electricity mix compare? This infographic from the National Public Utilities Council highlights the energy sources used for electricity in U.S. states during 2020, using data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

The U.S. Electricity Generation Mix By State
How does the United States generate electricity currently?

Over the course of 2020, the U.S. generated 4,009 TWh of electricity, with the majority coming from fossil fuels. Natural gas (40.3%) was the biggest source of electricity for the country, accounting for more than nuclear (19.7%) and coal (17.3%) combined.

Including nuclear energy, non-fossil fuels made up 41.9% of U.S. electricity generation in 2020. The biggest sources of renewable electricity in the U.S. were wind (8.4%) and hydro (7.3%).

But on a state-by-state breakdown, we can see just how different the electricity mix is across the country (rounded to the nearest percentage).

At a glance, regional availability of a fuel source and historical use is clear.

For example, coal is the most-used electricity source in West Virginia, Kentucky, and Wyoming, historical coal rich regions and economies.

On the flip side, the Pacific Northwest and New England generated the most hydroelectricity, and the biggest producers of wind energy were all located in the Great Plains. Even the biggest percentage producers of solar and geothermal energy, California and Nevada, have plenty of access to sunlight and geothermal activity.

The Changing Electricity Landscape
But for the U.S. to reach its ambitious carbon-free goal by 2035, the biggest impact will need to come from the biggest electricity producers.

That title currently goes to Texas, which generated 12% of total U.S. electricity in 2020. Despite being the most populous state, California generated less than half Texas’ output, and less than both Florida and Pennsylvania.

So although it’s positive that many states in the Pacific Northwest and New England have more plentiful non-fossil fuel electricity, their overall impact on the total U.S. picture is lessened.

Still, more and more states (and countries) are increasing their efforts and ambitions to decarbonize, and that progress makes it easier and more affordable over time. States that might struggle to attain carbon-free electricity, or where costs are too high, face less hurdles as technology improves and subsidies increase.

And with most major U.S. based utilities focusing on improving their ESG reporting and keeping up with decarbonization pledges of their own, the total electricity mix is expected to shift rapidly over the next decade.

National Public Utilities Council is the go-to resource for all things decarbonization in the utilities industry. Learn more.

Full-blown tyrant Joe Biden might be preparing us for The Great Reset
By
M. Dowling
September 11, 2021

If you wanted to destroy the culture and financial system of the United States, you wouldn’t do anything different than what Joe Biden is doing.

Biden has bought into The Great Reset and has even adopted their slogan to Build Back Better. John Kerry made it clear that is where we are headed. Kerry said Americans voted for The Great Reset.

Watching George W. Bush today was a bit of an awakening. He’s not just angry about his brother Jeb losing the primary or insults from Donald Trump. Bush is one with the far-left Democrats. Unconcerned about the anonymous people pouring in at the border, rising prices, and soaring inflation, growing debt, infringement of freedoms, destruction of our energy sector. and the devastation of our foreign policy, he used his speech today to lash out at rioters and paraders on January 6. The suggestion was that domestic terrorism is a big threat to the United States. Perhaps these globalists are afraid Americans will rebel when they finally do engage.

Barack Obama talked about the managed decline of the United States. This is the hurried decline under Joe Biden.

We live in a country where speech is silenced, criminals and illegal aliens are preferred to citizens, and where the ruling class wants to take away our means of self-defense. They have used the pandemic to track us, mandate us out of churches, and schools, purge the military, all while insisting it can never go back to normal.

They even want to tell you what drugs to put into your body. I support vaccinations but not mandating when it’s hardly necessary.

Is this preparing us for The Great Reset? Leo Hohmann thinks so.

Investigative reporter Leo Hohmann writes:
Joe Biden is a man in obvious cognitive decline. But he is not crazy, stupid, or incompetent. [Actually, we think he is stupid and incompetent, but agree with him on why he’s doing what he’s doing. For over 40 years, he has been an empty suit, but a cunning politician.]

Biden knows who he is and for whom he works. He is a stooge for the global Great Reset and he is doing his job exactly as it was assigned to him by his superiors.

His job, in fact, the whole purpose of his dubious presidency, is to precipitate the following:

  • Collapse the supply chain, the dollar, and ultimately the American economy.
  • Collapse the American military and embolden enemy forces.
  • Collapse the American healthcare system.
  • Collapse the American border.
Biden is well on his way to accomplishing all four of the tasks laid out for him by his handlers, who themselves are puppets working for the goals and values of the power elites at the World Economic Forum, global corporations, the United Nations, and other globalist entities.

There are stories now leaking out that farmers are being told to destroy crops. If true, the goal could be food shortages. That is hopefully, a conspiracy theory and not reality, but nothing would surprise me at this point.

Europe Is Subsidizing Its Way Into Electric Vehicle Leadership

SUNDAY, SEP 12, 2021 - 08:10 AM
Authored by Felicity Bradstock via OilPrice.com,

As Europe looks to lead the world in electric vehicle (EV) uptake, many governments are incentivizing the switch from traditionally-fuelled cars to electric alternatives, hoping to end the sale of petrol and diesel vehicles and get on the path to net-zero carbon emissions over the next decade. As major automotive manufacturers catch up with niche EV brands such as Tesla, Europe is ready to build up its EV market through incentives such as subsidies, free electric charging options, tax breaks, and a wide variety of EV options for consumers.

Several European countries are now leading the way for EV promotion, racing to get ahead of rich Asian nations and North American competitors also looking to make the shift.

In the UK, energy regulator Ofgem is planning to make EV uptake more attractive to consumers by making it possible for drivers to sell electricity stored in their car batteries back to the power grid when demand is at peak levels.

Ofgem is optimistic that if enough new EV drivers take part in the scheme, they could make money by selling energy and allow the U.K. to avoid developing new power plants by providing the same amount of energy generation of up to 10 nuclear plants.

At present, there are over 535,000 EVs, including hybrids, on the roads across the U.K. However, this figure is expected to soar to 14 million by 2030. This will be largely in response to the planned banning of the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles in the U.K. from 2030. The new scheme expects to make use of smart charging capabilities to track energy in EV batteries and demand levels on the grid.

Graeme Cooper, the National Grid head explains, “Smart charging essentially allows your car to ‘talk’ to the grid, using data to assess when is the best time for your car to charge,” “It’s a cheaper, more energy-efficient and sustainable way of charging electric vehicles.”

Oil majors are already getting ahead of the EV curve with Shell planning to install 50,000 on-street EV charge points by 2025. Shell is working closely with local authorities, offering to pay up-front costs for charging station installation, with the state’s Office for Zero-Emission Vehicles footing 75 percent of the bill through grant schemes.

Meanwhile, Germany has announced it will be extending its existing EV subsidies through 2025, originally expected to end in 2021, in a push to create greater EV uptake across the country. In 2020, Germany doubled incentives for EV, offering a €3,000 bonus for fully electric vehicles and €2,250 towards hybrids, as well as a 10-year tax exemption and lower VAT rates. Some European manufacturers are offering an additional €3,000 stipend to buyers.

In Germany, Europe’s largest EV market, EV made up around 1.8 percent of all new passenger car registrations in 2019, a figure that is rising year on year.

Smart, Seat, Mini and BMW were among some of the EV manufacturers to gain significantly in the German market, as we saw an increase of 37 percent in EV uptake in May 2021 compared to the same month in 2020. Skoda, Kia, VW, Hyundai, Opel and Toyota all also experienced an increase in their EV sales, while Honda, Jaguar, Mercedes and Mitsubishi EV sales were down on 2020.

France has also joined the list of European countries to provide EV incentives, offering national producers, such as Renault, a support package to encourage greater EV production. The French government is also offering consumers CO2-related tax exemptions, subsidies of up to €7,000 and a scrappage scheme for old traditionally-fuelled cars.

Likewise, Spain has reduced taxes on EVs in major cities, also offering subsidies on EV purchases of between €4,000-5,000 when scrapping old vehicles. And the Italian government is providing bonuses for lower carbon-emitting cars, while penalizing high carbon-emitting vehicles.

Many governments across Western Europe have decided to offer some kind of incentive for EV consumers as they push to decarbonize their economies and promote the shift from traditionally-fuelled vehicles to electric alternatives. This has made several car manufacturers eager to produce electric models as well as their existing vehicles as the European market is set to grow, having already overtaken China as the leading EV market in 2021 with 43.3 percent of the market share compared to 41 percent.

The European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) reported that nearly one in six-passenger cars registered in the European Union in the fourth quarter of 2020 was an electrically-chargeable vehicle, 16.5 percent, with 1.3 million units registered in Europe in 2020.

The variety of EV models available in Europe is also growing significantly, with consumers not just limited to Tesla and other expensive, early models any longer. The number of EV models available in 2021 is expected to be 214, up from just 98 in 2019.

Stimulus packages and tax breaks on EV purchases have helped Europe climb to become the world leader in the electric vehicle boom. As governments plan to ban the sale of petrol and diesel cars, this trend is set to continue, but will the majority of consumers jump on the EV train while these incentives are still in place or hold out until the end when there is little alternative?

Central Bank Visions Of Absolute Control

MONDAY, SEP 13, 2021 - 02:59 PM
Authored by MN Gordon via EconomicPrism.com,

There’s not much you can do in the year 2021 that doesn’t leave a digital trail. The collusion of big tech and big government has assured this.

Still, there does remain one simple way to elude the busybodies. In fact, one of the last ways to preserve some level of economic privacy is to pay with cash.

Because when you pay with cash the authorities cannot monitor and track what you buy. They don’t know if the cash you pulled from the ATM was stuffed in your mattress, or used to buy groceries or ammo or silver coins.

What’s more, the authorities don’t like this.

The control freak central planners want to know what you are buying, and where and when you are buying. They also want to know how much you spend down to the very last cent. A digital dollar, coupled with the abolition of cash, would allow them to do this. Moreover, it would provide them the ability to have full control over every transaction you make.

For example, if a purchase falls outside of the parameters established by the digital dollar’s monitoring algorithm, it could be cancelled on the spot. Should an attempted purchase not align with the buyers social credit score it would not go through. Are you overweight? Then no glazed donuts for you.

To be clear, digital dollars would have nothing to do with cryptocurrencies or decentralized finance. Rather, digital dollars would be issued by the Federal Reserve and would allow the Fed to monitor and control every transaction you make.

Absolute Control
Certainly, with digital dollars, control over how you spend your money could be executed in countless ways. Monthly limits could be placed on how much you’re allowed to spend.

You may have significant savings in your account. But you can’t spend it, because you’ve already exceeded your monthly allotment. Too bad. You must wait until next month before you can make further purchases.

So, too, the digital dollars in your account could be assigned an expiration date.

You must spend them by a certain date or they expire worthless. You must use it or lose it.

The timing and allowances for spending digital dollars would depend on the fabricated economic models of the central planners. What type of spending is needed, according to the planners, to best regulate the economy?

Is the economy slowing down? Then bring forward the expiration date. Is the economy heating up? Then lower people’s monthly spending limit.

What about spending your digital dollars across state lines…or even the next city or county over? Would the digital dollar police allow it? Would certain penalties be assessed?

This all seems rather fantastical, at first. But with a little abstract cognition, the proposition becomes very possible…especially when there are central planners and elites who are openly advocating for it.

Without question, the kingpin for totalitarian governments is the employment of Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs). These CBDCs would replace cash. This would be for your own good, of course. To eliminate nefarious transactions and black markets…or to prevent the spread of a contagious plague.

Central Bank Visions of Absolute Control
The prospect of a CBDC, such as a Federal Reserve issued digital dollar, has been presumed for several years. However, John Titus, of BestEvidence, recently released a video presentation titled, Larry & Carstens’ Excellent Pandemic. In less than an hour, and at no cost, Titus connects several dots in a way that better brings what’s coming into focus.

Have you ever heard of Bank for International Settlements General Manager, Agustín Carstens?

He’s a man who appears to consume an abundance of glazed donuts. Last year, Carstens confidently detailed how central banks will have full control over retail CBDC transactions, including the ability to block individual transactions. Per Carstens:
“There is a huge difference [between CBDC and cash]. For example, with cash we don’t know who’s using a 100 dollar bill today. We don’t know who’s using a 1,000 peso bill today. A key difference with the CBDC is the central bank will have absolute control under rules and regulations that will determine the use of that expression of central bank liability, and we will have the technology to enforce that.”
Make no mistake. The central planners want absolute control over how you spend your money. They want to control what you do with your property.

For money, remember, is property. Your money is your property. It represents the time, the sacrifices, the skills learned, and the risks taken to earn and save it.

The central planners want to impose their will on how you chose to use and enjoy your property.

Yet it’s not just the central planners that want to muck around in your private life. The wealthy elite also want to. BlackRock CEO and billionaire Larry Fink relishes the great promise of absolute control. According to Fink:
“Markets don’t like uncertainty. Markets like totalitarian governments where you have an understanding of what’s out there.”
Indeed, full control is good for Fink’s business. It’s also good for other corporate elites and crony capitalists. But it’s a disaster for the rest of us.

Alas, we’re but one crisis – real or fabricated – from the full execution of CBDCs…and the loss of all remnants of economic privacy.

The central bankers and elites won’t stop until their visions of totalitarianism are realized.

COVID – A stepping stone for a climate scheme

Chris Woodward

COVID – A stepping stone for a climate scheme

A recent article in the journal Nature says COVID lockdowns are key to beginning "personal carbon allowances" – something the creator of “the go-to source for global warming information and analysis” calls frightening and realistic.

The idea of personal carbon allowances (PCAs) is not new, but authors of the article say COVID-related restrictions have made people more prepared to accept tracking and limitations, which they claim could achieve a safer climate.

Morano, Marc (Climate Depot)
Morano

Climate Depot's Marc Morano says this is a frightening, realistic possibility that might be imposed in various nations, including the United States.

"They want to use Big Tech to use your smartphone to track you," he says. "They want to use smart thermometers, the smart meters at your home where they can shut down your air conditioner or your heater if you're making it too hot or too cold, whatever the case may be, [saying] You have to stay within your carbon climate allowance to save climate. We need a safer climate and you have to be a good foot soldier."

Morano adds this is the kind of thing they can do with bureaucrats who bypass federal, state, and local legislators.

"They can do this under emergency measures, very similar to what they've done with COVID," he says.

This was weird.

Joe Biden departed Idaho and traveled to California on Monday as part of his tour to the western part of the US to survey wildfire damage.

Angry Joe Biden screamed about climate change during a visit to California’s Office of Emergency Services.

“We’ve spent over $97 billion because of climate change, and we’re sitting with our thumb under our ear — except here, you’ve been fighting like hell!” Biden awkwardly shouted.

Why does Biden keep yelling?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

[COMMENT: This is unbelievable Bullshite. I spent more than a decade in meetings with the friggin' US Forest Service and CalFire begging for forest management to reduce fuels around my communities. As a member of a committee of California Forest Counties, I had many meetings with Region 5 Supervisor, Randy Moore, (now head of the Forest Service,) calling them to accountability. They gave us the song and dance about "ecosystem management" while they kissed the ass of environmental groups. We provided scientists, many scientific studies, held symposiums, provided economic data, formed groups for lobbying, worked with Feinstein and Republican Congressmen. We even worked on systems to feed small biomass units with small diameter trees. We made no dent.

Every time they planned a fuel reduction project around a community, one of the environmentalist hit groups would sue on some technicality.

I consider my inability to muster any impact one of my biggest failure as a County Supervisor. It was not from lack of trying.

Biden, Newsom, this has NOTHING to do with friggin' climate change.

I watched parts of the community of Forks of Salmon burn several times. I watched parts of Klamath River, Seiad, Horse Creek and Scott Bar burn -all communities dating back to the Gold Rush. I watched fire approach Etna. I evacuated my own home at the other end of the valley. Happy Camp burned last year. Hornbrook in the year or so prior. Callahan is evacuated this year.

It is the damned Northwest Forest Plan spotted , salamander, salmon, etc.) Wildand Scenic Rivers Act, Wilderness Act/Fire Use, National Monuments etc. and the halting of Forest Management on National Forest and BLM land.

**** Biden.]

{ADDENDUM: Forwarded by my former Congressman:
Today Democrats on the House Agriculture Committee blocked not only a firefighter pay amendment, but a fire reform package that would have reduced fire risks and reformed federal fire policy. The first portion redirected funds to prioritize initial attack on fires with the goal to extinguish all new fire starts below 10 acres in size. The amendment redirected over $2 billion to focus on quickly extinguishing new fires before they have a chance to become major fires.
The second portion of the reforms allows Forest Service to quickly do landscape wide thinning projects to reduce catastrophic fire risks. It prioritizes treating nationally to the most at risk, fire prone areas as well as clearing the way for more effective post fire salvage.

The final amendment directs an additional $500 million to restoration work for post-fire areas including for immediate stabilization of topsoil and ash to prevent erosion and run-off, salvage logging, and re-planting activities.

When will common sense prevail in Congress? The West is on fire and the near 40-year lack of actual management has led to some of the largest fires on record. We must get serious about stopping these fires quickly before the fire receives a name and a subsequent collector t-shirt vendor. Prioritizing initial attack by providing the resources needed, extra aircraft and more smokejumpers, to put these fires out before they become national news is the most basic solution to buy time to fix our forests. This package handles both our immediate needs, increasing initial attack capabilities and helping to do post fire stabilization so we protect what is left of our forests and watershed. It also reforms the Forest Service to look at our long term needs of increasing responsible thinning to prevent catastrophic fires. To get our forest lands healthy we must actually do the work of thinning, which also has the benefit of bringing good jobs to our area and the forest products Americans need.}

"Personal Carbon Allowances" Pushed To Fight Global Warming

TUESDAY, SEP 14, 2021 - 05:00 AM
Authored by Wesley Smith, op-ed via The Epoch Times,

The COVID pandemic offered an unprecedented excuse for want-to-be authoritarians to stifle liberty.

To fight disease, once unthinkable government controls abound. Entire economies have been shut down, businesses closed involuntarily, and people thrown out of work.

Contact tracing apps were invented to alert the user when exposed to someone with the virus, but which also kept a clear record of individual movements.

Vaccine mandates enforced through phone app-facilitated “passports” are now proliferating. Soon, continued employment or ability to participate in society freely may depend on proving one has received the jab.

Ok, Wesley. That’s admittedly tough medicine, but it was necessitated as a public health measure to defeat a dangerous communicable disease. Once COVID fades away or becomes endemic like the flu, everything returns to normal. Right?

Not if the technocrats get their way. COVID whetted their appetite for power, and now they want their existing “temporary” sway over how we live to become a permanent fixture of society.

The question is how to get people to surrender more of their liberty. One potential plan would impose an international technocratic control in the name of preventing future pandemics.

One such approach was laid out last year by Dr. Anthony Fauci in a co-authored piece in a science journal advocating that the U.N. and the WHO be empowered to enact measures that would “rebuild the infrastructure of human existence.”

Fighting global warming presents an even more ominous pretext for establishing the system of rule by experts. Restrictions on personal liberty have long been promoted as a necessary prophylactic to prevent environment degradation. But now, they are being peddled as a means of protecting human health and wellness.

And the “good news”—from the autocratic perspective—is that unlike COVID, the goal of “net zero” carbon emissions, which we are told must be imposed to keep us from boiling like a lobster in the pot, could never be achieved. Genius! That means, the technocracy would never end.

A recent editorial in the Journal of Medical Ethics lays out the mindset.

“Many governments met the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic with unprecedented funding,” the editors write.
“The environmental crisis demands a similar emergency response.”
See what I mean?

But it wouldn’t just be about spending more money. Only the most radical refashioning of society will do.
Governments must make fundamental changes to how our societies and economies are organized and how we live …. Governments must intervene to support the redesign of transport systems, cities, production and distribution of food, markets for financial investments, health systems, and much more.”
If that reads suspiciously like Dr. Fauci, that because technocrats all think alike.

The plans being laid by “the experts” would also constrain our freedom by subjecting us all to a system of high-tech surveillance—disturbingly similar to the tyrannical Chinese social credit system. An advocacy article in the prestigious science journal Nature by four environmental “experts,” lays out one such very disturbing proposal—a means of restricting individual behavior known as “personal carbon allowances,” or PCAs, for short.

They write, “A PCA scheme would be ‘a national mandatory policy’ that would entail all adults receiving an equal tradable carbon allowance that reduces over time in line with national [carbon] targets.” Think World War II-style rationing coupons that limited individual purchases of gasoline and other commodities gone high tech, with lower allowances allowed with each passing year.

How would PCAs work? Individual allotments would be “deducted from the personal budget with every payment of transport fuel, home-heating fuels and electricity bills.”

But what if you exhausted your individual carbon allotment?
“People in shortage would be able to purchase additional units in the personal carbon market from those with excess to sell,” the authors assure us.
What that really means is that the rich could avoid giving up their private planes since they could just buy up other people’s carbon allowances.

Apps would play a central role in enforcing PCAs.
“Recent studies show how COVID-19 contact tracing apps were successfully implemented with mandatory schemes in several East Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, and South Korea,” the authors applaud.

“In these countries, the apps assessed the user’s travel history and health status, playing a key role in tracking infection.”
That technology would now be the means for imposing even more profoundly intrusive information gathering about our personal conduct. The authors sigh that “the many digital-tracing algorithms that were developed and tested provide initial valuable information for the design of future apps that—for example—estimate emissions on the basis of the tracking the user’s movement history.”

In other words, Big Expert would know where you have been, what you have bought, and who you have seen.

It wouldn’t just be apps.
“Advances in AI … promise to improve personalized feedback and advice. Recent advances in smarter home and transport options make it possible to easily track and manage a large share of individuals’ emissions.” (And don’t forget about facial recognition technologies!)

“AI could be especially beneficial for PCA designs that also include food-and-consumption-related emissions.”
In other words, if you eat that hamburger, we will know and deduct from your PCA accordingly! Good grief.

All of this would have once been beyond belief, the authors admit. But because millions cooperated with COVID restrictions, “people may be more prepared to accept the tracking and limitations related to PCAs to achieve a safer climate.” In other words, emboldened by our compliance with supposedly temporary public health measures, our would-be technocrat overlords see a chance to seize permanent autocratic control.

Let’s not let them. We still have the power to thwart rule by experts through democratic means. But if we lack the courage, if we acquiesce—again—to significant liberty constraints in the name of protecting health, the soft totalitarianism we will have facilitated will not be their fault. It will be ours.

Joe Biden traveled to Golden, Colorado on Tuesday to push his Communist Green New Deal agenda.

Biden toured the National Renewable Energy Laboratory to promote his garbage “Build Back Better” plan.

Joe Biden’s trip to Colorado ended his two-day tour of western states where he surveyed the drought-stricken region and blamed wildfires on climate change.

“We don’t have the time now. The goals are different,” he said. “We don’t have much more than 10 years. For real.”

Biden said junk wind turbines are the answer to combating climate change.

Earlier this year, a winter storm in Texas caused power outages and nearly half the wind turbines froze.

Biden’s pitch on Tuesday: “Windmills don’t case cancer.”

They only cause death and misery when they freeze up or don’t work.

Technocrats Want “Mandatory” Carbon Credit Cards to Control Every Facet of Your Life

Celebrate how mass compliance in response to COVID rules has helped grease the skids.

Technocrats Want “Mandatory” Carbon Credit Cards to Control Every Facet of Your Life
Technocrats are preparing “mandatory” personal carbon allowances that would introduce rationing into every area of your life via an app that would record your travel, heating expenses and even the food you eat.

Yes, really.

The proposal was presented in the science journal Nature by four environmental “experts” as a means of reducing global carbon emissions.

Everyone would be issued with a ‘carbon allowance card’ “that would entail all adults receiving an equal tradable carbon allowance that reduces over time in line with national [carbon] targets.”

The authors make it clear that the program would be a “national mandatory policy.”

Carbon units would be “deducted from the personal budget with every payment of transport fuel, home-heating fuels and electricity bills,” and anyone going over the limit would be forced to purchase additional units in the personal carbon market from those with excess to sell.”

This means that the private jet-flying rich could simply bypass the system entirely (which they would part-own via investments anyway) by simply buying carbon credits and carrying on living their luxurious lifestyle.

The proposal makes clear that the means of measuring a person’s uptake of carbon units for travel would function “on the basis of the tracking the user’s movement history.”

The authors note how the normalization of contact tracing via COVID-19 apps will ensure a similar system could be used for keeping track of carbon credits with minimum fuss.

“Recent studies show how COVID-19 contact tracing apps were successfully implemented with mandatory schemes in several East Asian countries such as China, Taiwan, and South Korea,” states the article.
“In these countries, the apps assessed the user’s travel history and health status, playing a key role in tracking infection.”

Indeed, the authors specifically note how mass unquestioning compliance with COVID lockdown regulations has greased the skids for further intrusive tyranny and that, “people may be more prepared to accept the tracking and limitations related to PCAs to achieve a safer climate” as a result.

The increasing sophistication of artificial intelligence technologies would also “make it possible to easily track and manage” people’s “food-and-consumption-related emissions.”

In other words, eating what Big Brother deems to be an excess of red meat or anything else deemed “harmful” to the planet will result in a carbon credit reduction.

Just stick to eating UN-recommended bugs and worms though and you’ll be sure to keep within your ration limit.

“We still have the power to thwart rule by experts through democratic means,” writes Wesley Smith. “But if we lack the courage, if we acquiesce—again—to significant liberty constraints in the name of protecting health, the soft totalitarianism we will have facilitated will not be their fault. It will be ours.”

As we previously highlighted, the idea of “climate lockdowns” is also being normalized in light of the mass compliance to pandemic lockdowns.

And they still claim that the ‘Great Reset’ is an “unfounded conspiracy theory.”

Report: Young People Are Suffering ‘Climate Anxiety,’ Majority Think ‘Humanity Is Doomed’

A growing number of young people are combating “climate anxiety,” and a majority think “humanity is doomed,” according to a study published in Lancet Planetary Health Tuesday.

According to the study, which authors claim is the most comprehensive study in the world analyzing “young people’s fear about the climate crisis,” 45 percent of 16-25-year-olds said, “climate-related anxiety and distress is affecting their daily lives and ability to function normally,” Vice News reported of the study.

Approximately 10,000 young people were surveyed across ten countries, 60 percent of which said national governments are “betraying” the present and future generations by not trying hard enough to save the planet.

Fifty-six percent of people surveyed said they agreed with the statement that “humanity is doomed, “and 75 percent said the future is frightening.

Here is the percentage broken down by country of young people who believe “humanity is doomed.” (Notably, some of the world’s top polluters, like Russia and China, were not included in the list.) :
  • Australia: 50 percent
  • Brazil: 67 percent
  • France: 48 percent
  • Finland: 43 percent
  • India: 74 percent
  • Nigeria: 42 percent
  • Phillippines: 73 percent
  • Portugal: 62 percent
  • UK: 51 percent
  • US: 46 percent
“Our children’s anxiety is a completely rational reaction given the inadequate responses to climate change they are seeing from governments. What more do governments need to hear to take action?”said Caroline Hickman, co-lead author on the study from the University of Bath.

Both the UK and the U.S. have very little faith in their governments compared to other countries to fend off the supposed ravages of climate change.

“Only 28 percent and 21 percent of young Brits and Americans thought the government could be trusted when it came to the planet – whereas 51 percent of Indians had faith in the authorities,” according to the report.

Co-founders of Climate Psychologists Megan Kennedy-Woodward and Dr Patrick Kennedy-Williams developed a list of recognizable climate anxiety symptoms — anxiety which the report’s authors called an “inescapable stressor.”

“Climate and eco anxiety blanket over a wide range of emotions that the climate crisis can provoke,” Kennedy-Woodward said. “Guilt, anger, grief, despair.”

“It can result in social withdrawal, sleep or concentration issues, to name a few.

Clinically speaking, for younger children we aim to support parents to have meaningful and productive conversations with their kids,” Kennedy-Williams added.

In order to soothe apocalyptic fear, Kennedy Woodward suggested young people “lean into self-care” and “take social media and climate information breaks,” Vice reported.

According to the report, the authors of the study hope world governments realize how fragile climate change has made young people feel “rather than expecting young people to handle it alone.” The study’s authors wrote:
Public discourse should encourage the expression of feelings that 60 percent of young people in this survey have described as being ignored or dismissed. We argue that the failure of governments to adequately reduce, prevent, or mitigate climate change is contributing to psychological distress, moral injury and injustice.
As far as public discourse goes, leftist political figures in the U.S. have dialed up the fear around climate change.

Devout socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) once said: “The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” She later said she was exaggerating the timeline to make a point. She recently defended flying on a plane to New York because she had a “very tight schedule.”

In early September, the Biden administration’s Special Presidential Envoy for Climate ,John Kerry, warned the world is “doomed” unless 20 countries take climate action. Notably, his family jet has flown at least 16 times this year, contributing to the very emission problem he preaches about eradicating.

President Joe Biden continues escalating his rhetoric about global warming as he travels to some of the most devastated natural disaster areas around the country.

“We have a chance, because of the work you’re doing, to make some significant change and literally — I know it sounds like hyberbole — save a generation,” Biden said after viewing wildfire devastation in California. “Not a joke. Not a joke.”

In the past two weeks, Biden has visited wildfire areas in the West, hurricane damage in New Orleans and flooding damage in New York and New Jersey.

“We don’t have a lot of time. We don’t have much more than 10 years. For real,” Biden cautioned as he visited a renewable energy laboratory in Colorado on Tuesday.
At each disaster site, Biden repeated his mantra that global warming was the sole cause of the devastation.

“Scientists have been warning us for years that extreme weather is going to get more extreme,” he said. “We’re living it in real time now.”

Biden also argued consumer-driven pollution was literally endangering the lives of firefighters.

“Wildfires are being super-charged by climate change,” he said, and added, “When we fail to curb pollution from smokestacks and tailpipes and continue to use fossil fuels as we do, we increase risk that firefighters face.”

Biden urged lawmakers in Congress to “get real” about the threat of climate change and spend billions of dollars on priorities first outlined in the green new deal.

“We know what the driver is: climate change. And we know what’s causing climate change: human activity,” Biden said in Colorado. “This is no longer subject to debate.”

During his travels, Biden highlighted his spending proposals to create a Civilian Climate Corps of thousands of young people, subsidize a nationwide transition to electric busses, expanding electric charging stations, and burying power transmission lines.

He also called for massive subsidies for solar and wind powered electricity and a massive $12,500 tax rebate for union-made electric vehicles.

“Disasters aren’t going to stop. That’s the nature of the climate threat,” he said in Colorado. “But we know — we know what we have to do. We just need to summon the courage and the creativity to do it.”

The Worldwide Vaxx-Certificate Passport Is in the Works
by PETER KOENIG

September 15, 2021

Editor’s Commentary: Part of my job is to distinguish between the “crazy conspiracy theories” that actually make sense and the ones that are actually crazy conspiracy theories. The challenge isn’t in finding things that are difficult to believe. There are plenty. The challenge is in sifting through the ones that, on the surface, do not make sense unless one digs deeper.

The following article by Peter Koenig is somewhere in the middle. Clearly, he’s onto something with what he’s exposing as far as the demonstrable conspiracies being perpetrated within the Rockefeller-Gates-WHO-WEF cabal. From there, the article veers into items that may or may not be true. I have my personal opinions, but I am leaving his article completely intact to let the readers decide for themselves.

Are we in the end times? Is this the beginning of the one-world government, the one-world currency, and the one-world religion that has been prophesied? Is it being interpreted properly? Are the signs clear that we’re experiencing it or is this a prelude to even darker times in the future? Again, I have thoughts, but this is not my article. Koenig expresses his perspectives and I will let them stand alone without my input for now.

One thing is certain. The conspiracies that are in play are so far into the “fringe” that the vast majority of Americans are ignoring them. I choose not to ignore them, though I also choose to stay grounded in reality so as not to get taken down the wrong rabbit holes. It’s just as easy to put too much credence into the crazy ideas as it is for others to completely ignore them. Readers beware, but also readers be armed with truth. Take what you read or hear, investigate it yourself, pray on it, and come to your own conclusions.

Without further preface, here’s Peter Koenig’s article…

Digital Tyranny and the Rockefeller-Gates-WHO ‘Vaxx-Certificate Passport’: Towards a World War III Scenario

This article is a followup on the Global Research’s 20th Anniversary webinar (September 09, 2021), focusing on Agenda ID2020 and its implications being rolled out in front of our eyes. Yet, for most people the implications are not visible.

What is the Infamous Agenda ID2020?
Behind its development is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation – with support of the Rockefeller Foundation – and others belonging to the sinister all-digitization, depopulation and eugenics agenda.

It is an alliance of public-private partners, including UN agencies and civil society. It’s an electronic ID-program that uses generalized vaccination against Covid-19 as a platform for digital identity.

It is an all-electronic ID – linking everything to everything of each individual (records of health, criminal, banking, personal and private, etc.), being managed by a state agency or in extremis, by the private sector. Imagine – an insurance company or bank handling your private records, converted into an electronic and eventually “chipped” ID.

Privatization of your personal records may sound far-fetched, but the Swiss government tried to get a privatized Agenda ID2020 quietly past the people. But the people found out and launched a referendum against Agenda ID2020. The idea was rejected with a margin of 2:1 in July 2021.

What will happen next? – Will the Swiss Government respect the vote of the people, or following the mandate from the Deep Dark State above? Germany, Austria and France – and probably others, implemented ID2020 through Parliament or by decree – most people have no idea.

Implementation of Agenda ID2020 links into – or emerged from – Klaus Schwab’s (WEF) infamous “Covid-19 – The Great Reset”- which, by the way, is available from Amazon (or was, when I last checked). If it has been taken off and censored, perhaps by the very author – it would be no surprise.

World War III Scenario
In the meantime, we live literally in a WWIII scenario, where countries’ constitutions are either outlawed, or simply overrun by dictatorial measures that advance so fast that civil movements are in many cases too late to intervene – simply because civil society, even the alert ones, haven’t noticed. It happens silently.

Either by decree, or by coopted and / or coerced Parliaments, a sort of Health Martial Law is being implemented basically everywhere in the world, with emphasis on the west. And most of the public at large has no idea.

The Rockefeller-Gates Funded WHO Sponsored Vaxx-Certificate Passport
The Gates and Rockefeller Foundations are financing WHO’s guidelines for a digital international Vaccination Certificate, also called “Vaccination Passport”.

In the context of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, the concept of Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates (DDCC) is proposed as a mechanism by which a person’s COVID-19-related health data can be digitally documented via an electronic certificate.

A digital vaccination certificate that documents a person’s current vaccination status to protect against COVID-19 can then be used for continuity of care or as proof of vaccination for purposes other than health care. The resulting artefact of this approach is referred to as the Digital Documentation of COVID-19 Certificates: Vaccination Status (DDCC:VS). (WHO, Executive Summary, emphasis added)

Surprisingly or perhaps not so surprisingly, the international “Vaxx-certificate / passport” is not funded by WHO’s member countries, as one might expect, but by Gates and Rockefeller. That’s significant.

WHO has published and distributed to all member countries on 27 August 2021 the guidelines for the introduction of an international digital Vaccination Certificate / Passport” – as well as Implementation Guidelines.

Joe Biden’s All-Vaxx Mandate
As an apparent consequence, the Biden Administration issued an all-vaxx mandate – requesting all enterprises with 100 or more employees, to demand that their employees be vaccinated, or else. For non-compliance, huge fines are threatened. The same for the two million-plus government employees. In total, some 100 million Americans are affected by this draconian mandate. Biden follows the orders of Rockefeller et al.

This requirement will apply to over 80 million workers in private sector businesses, the White House said. … COVID Vaccine Passports ‘May Increase the Risk of Disease Spread’: Gates, Rockefeller Funded WHO Guide Book
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will require COVID-19 vaccinations for workers in most healthcare facilities … This requirement will impact over 17 million healthcare workers at hospitals and other facilities that take these patients. …

The administration will require that teachers and staff in Head Start Programs, Department of Defense schools, and Bureau of Indian Education-operated schools be vaccinated.

Biden will also call on all states to adopt vaccine requirements for all school employees. Biden’s plan calls on entertainment venues like sports arenas, large concert halls, and others where large groups of people gather to require that patrons be vaccinated or show a negative coronavirus test in order to enter. (Reuters, emphasis added)

The European Union (EU) and Switzerland
The Swiss and other EU countries also as a result of the WHO-issued vaxx-certificate / passport, mandate banning access to most indoor activities – including restaurants, gyms and cinemas – as of 13 September, without a vaxx-certificate.

This is totally against the Nuremberg Code (animal testing of drugs and vaccines before applying on humans) and contradicts all democratic Constitutions.

Countries’ Constitutions worldwide are overrun and “disabled” by a tyranny that functions with enormous power – deadly threats and possibly highly seductive and corruptive rewards.

Never in memory of human history has such a worldwide dictatorship existed. It emerged in less than 12 months and has subjugated – I repeat myself – all 193 UN member countries, including the entire UN system at once.

The Vaccination Certificate / Passport may eventually be chipped into people’s bodies (Klaus Schwab, WEF, in a 2016 interview with Swiss TV Geneva – recently “erased” from internet). See this: Dr. Astrid Stueckelberger, former WHO: You are Being Chipped.

The Vaxx-certificate may form the basis for a worldwide digital identity registration. As a parenthesis, both WHO vaxx-certificate financing foundations are headed by currently the world’s most visible eugenists – Gates and Rockefeller, using WHO to further their agenda.

Most of the WHO member states are not directly involved. It should also be mentioned that the creation of WHO in 1948 was Rockefeller’s idea, with all the money he had accumulated with his Standard Oil hydrocarbon (mostly petrol and gas) monopoly, the creation and subsequent integration of WHO into the UN system was relatively “easy” – with “easy” in quotes. Money buys also the UN.

With WHO as part of the UN, an official UN institution is in charge of the world’s health – or diseases – exactly what eugenists want.

The World Bank is also an important player in this colossal criminal plan – because it hast the power over the poorer so-called „developing countries“ – to pressure them with ‘conditionalities‘ in return for financial support. The usual.

The same as the IMF – their roles are essentially interchangeable.

WW III Scenario without Bombs and Guns
In brief, we are indeed living in a WWIII scenario – without bombs and guns, directed against all humanity an invisible – and never isolated – virus: Propaganda, the Fear Campaign and the “Vaccine” are their Weapons of Mass Destruction – WMD.

What these measures do – “Vaccination Certificate / Passport” for the jabbed – is to separate society into the “good ones”, the “vaccinated” ones; and the “bad guys”, those who are not vaccinated, do not intend to get the deadly jab, and thus, do not deserve the vaxx-certificate / passport.

According to the lie-mongering governments – all 193 UN member countries whose governments have been coopeted in a long preparation period – would like you to believe that the non-vaccinated are a danger for society. This is nonsense, because according to the CDC, and repeated by the same UN member countries, jabbed people also transmit the virus.

Separating society is an age-old war strategy (at least back to the Roman Empire) : “Divide et Impera” – “Divide and conquer” – so that the people divide and fight each other, instead of their common enemy – which in this fake covid-case are our very governments, all 193 UN member governments – at once.

Agenda ID2020 is the chief instrument for implementing the WEF’s Great Reset. Implementation Progress is advancing fast. This is how:

According to the Fifth Column’s Spanish Research Team, about 90% or more of the “vaxx-fluid” in the mRNA-formula consists of Graphene. – Graphene is the secret of the Agenda ID2020 – which was patented by Gates with a (luciferian) patent No. 666.

Triple-six, 666, is also the chemical formula of graphene itself — 6 molecules attached in a ring, attached to other such rings. The symbol they’re using is 3 attached rings.

Graphene inoculated by the mRNA-injection, forms immediately a neural net in the brain. It is a one molecule thick net that spontaneously grows around the brain from the graphene contained in the vaxx.

Electromagnetic waves emanating from the soon millions of 5G / 6G antennas around the world, are supposed to convert humans into “transhumans” (term used by Klaus Schwab, in his interview with the Swiss-French TV in 2016. The internet link to the interview has since been “fact-checked” out.

This may explain the enormous time-pressure behind the vaxx-drive; because once you are injected with the mRNA-concoction you are affected in one way or another. Either your health is endangered, or as outlined by Klaus Schwab (video below) you may become a “transhuman” which can be manipulated by robots and /or Artificial intelligence (AI).

The Deep State
So, you may ask: “Genocide” or “Slavery”? What do the elites – the Deep State – plan for us? The elites are members or associates and adherents to the WEF and the WEF’s philosophy, the banking and corporate elites.

The answer is both. Mortality and morbidity resulting from the mRNA-jabs coupled with “enslavement” or “trans-humanization”, for the survivors. It’s all well thought out. Since over 70 years.

We may just hope that we are not too late in stopping this massive onslaught of

  • genocide?
  • digital trans-humanization, and
  • transferring assets and capital from the lower and middle level of society to the top, by bankruptcies, joblessness, disease, and death by neglect and suicide. Already ongoing
“You are not Alone”
During the commenting and Q and A session of the Global Research webinar debate (September 9, 2021), involving 245 participants, there were several desperate and abandoned sounding voices – what to do?

They have nobody to talk to. They do not want the jab. They realize it can be harmful and deadly.

If its not immediately “deadly”, it may have innumerable serious “side-effects” – health defects that may never be cured – and foremost, the mRNA-experimental gene-modifying inoculation may render both women and men infertile. The latter coincides with the eugenists’ agenda.

You are not alone – about half of the population of the western world have not been vaccinated.

They know the risks; they fear the risk of the injection, but they do not fear getting sick with Covid-19, alias SARS-CoV-2 – which, according to Dr. Anthony Fauci’s own words in a peer-reviewed scientific paper, is about comparable to a common flu (“Covid-19 – Navigating the Uncharted”, New England Journal of Medicine – NEJM, 26 March 2020). They fear the deadliness of the mRNA-injection.

You are not alone – there are millions, tens of millions, out there who feel the same way. Start communicating with each other. What we need is to overcome
this crime of biblical proportions.

What we need is to develop a worldwide people’s solidarity movement integrating all sectors of society (between the vaxxed and the non-vaxxed) with the support of real law enforcement (police) and members of the military.

Once law enforcement officials (police) as well as members of the military realize that they and their families are also threatened, they will exercise their true role, which consists in defending the interests of the people, rather than those of proxy politicians and “criminal governments”, which have solely one Globalist goal. The latter consists in converting sovereign countries into a One World Order, ruled by a small extremely wealthy elite to the detriment of the surviving people which this elite intends to manipulate and transform with electromagnetic waves and the injected graphene oxide into “transhumans”.

We have to prevent their war strategy of “Divide et Impera” – “Divide and Rule” from taking hold. Instead, those who are “vaccinated” should unite with the non-vaccinated in solidarity to fight the common enemy.

We don’t have much time, but we can do it. We can obliterate the thrust of Agenda ID2020 in a state of awakened solidarity. In an elevated mindset. Not one of submission to the elite’s “diabolical agenda”, but one of elation, one of hope and light.

We shall overcome.

Rising Energy Prices Will Hit Poorest Households Hardest

By Reuters energy reporter and columnist John Kemp

Rising energy prices come at an awkward time for governments and central banks trying to support the recovery and wanting to run a high-pressure economy to boost jobs and wages for lower-income groups. Policymakers will try to “look-through” the acceleration in inflation caused by rapidly rising energy and food prices, arguing policy should not respond to idiosyncratic rises likely to be “temporary” and quickly reversed.

But households and businesses have no such option: their spending will be directly hit by the increase in fuel and food costs unless they can secure offsetting increases in wages and revenues.

In the United States, energy prices increased at a compound annual rate of almost 7% per year over the two years to August...

... while food prices had risen almost 4% per year, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Rising energy and food prices will hit lower income households hardest because they spend a much higher proportion of their income on these items (“Consumer expenditure survey”, BLS, September 2021).

In 2019, before the pandemic, U.S. households in the second-lowest income decile spent 27% of their post-tax income on food and 14% on energy, compared with 10% and 5% respectively for households in the second-highest decile (https://tmsnrt.rs/398MSml).

The same problem will hit lower-income households across Europe and Asia because they also spend a much higher share of their incomes on food and fuel, ensuring the price increases have a regressive impact.

Not everyone experiences price rises in the same way. Households in lower-income deciles are currently experiencing much faster inflation rates than those in higher deciles because of their different spending patterns.

Squeezed Hard
Rapidly escalating food and fuel prices have microeconomic, macroeconomic and political implications which make them impossible for policymakers to ignore.

At a microeconomic level, they will intensify financial pressure on poorer and lower middle-income households, which are least able to absorb the cost increases and experience deteriorating living standards.

In England, there were already 3.2 million households (13.4% of all households) struggling with fuel poverty, as defined by the government, before the pandemic (“Fuel poverty statistics in England”, BEIS, March 2021).

At the macroeconomic level, lower income households will be forced to reduce spending on other items, which will act as a drag on other economic activity, creating headwinds for growth and employment.

Politically, the concentrated impact on lower-income households, which contain lots of swing voters, will ensure rising food and fuel prices are impossible for politicians to ignore.

In the United States, the Biden administration has opposed tax increases that would raise the cost of gasoline and accelerating inflation has become a sensitive congressional issue.

In Europe, governments in Spain, Greece and Italy have begun to respond to the upward pressure on gas and electricity prices by considering rebates and tax changes designed to keep overall bills down.

Political attempts to limit food and energy price rises are often derided as “interference” with price signals, but they are rational for policymakers who must worry about being re-elected.

Squeezed Hard
Rising food and especially energy prices also push up the cost of other goods and services because they are among the most widespread input costs for nearly all manufacturers, distributors, retailers and service providers.

In the United States, consumer prices for items other than food and energy increased at a compound annual rate of more than 2.8% in the two years to August, the fastest for almost a quarter of a century.

In the short term, non-food and non-fuel inflation may have peaked as the re-opening of the economy was largely completed by early summer, and a resurgence of coronavirus cases has induced more caution about travel. U.S. core consumer prices excluding food and energy increased at an annualized rate of 5% in the three months to August, down from almost 11% in the three months to June, the fastest for nearly 40 years.

But renewed increases in the cost of food and fuels could filter through into another round of broader price increases later this year and into 2022 as households and businesses try to offset the impact.

There is still a lot of inflationary pressure still in the pipeline in terms of raw materials, shipping and logistics costs, which will continue filtering through into consumer prices over the next twelve months.

If households and businesses succeed in pushing for wage and revenue increases to offset rising input costs, faster inflation will become more entrenched, becoming harder for policymakers to ignore. If they don’t succeed in forcing through wage and price increases, inflationary pressures will burn out, but output and employment growth will likely slow as a result as real incomes fall.

"We Should Be Concerned" - The War On Cash Is A Real Thing

Authored by Bruce Wilds via Advancing Time blog,
In our bizarre economy, we hear many things, and ideas are constantly being thrown out to us.

This all tends to flow together and help us develop a strategy as to how we should cope with the changing times. One thing we continue to hear is that a war is being waged to eliminate cash. Not only are most people going along with this but many have embraced the notion.

Some people view carrying cash as dangerous or burdensome. This also dovetails with their desire to spend more than they can afford, when using a credit card it is far easier to continue spending money you do not have. All things considered, when asked, is the war on cash a real thing being directed from those on high, sadly we must answer yes. Cash reflects "options for the people" and it appears those in charge of such things want in gone.

Currencies were developed to facilitate and ease transactions between individuals and businesses. The war on cash is simply another way Washington can continue to show its favoritism towards big business.
Small businesses often rely more on small cash transactions and often lack the ability to process other forms of payment. It is ironic that while big businesses and companies like Amazon flourish with each move government makes, the small businesses on Main Street are left worse off.

Your Wealth Will Be Locked In A Computer
A cashless society where records are made and kept reflecting every transaction we make even down to buying a candy bar also allows the government to monitor our every move.

This is something Big Brother-type governments strongly aspire to under the guise it will extend its ability to protect us or tamp down on crime, tax evasion, and corruption. For some reason, they seem to think this will allow them to collect more taxes, yet it comes at the same time they continue to tilt the tax code in favor of massive companies.

The way the government has handled coins during the pandemic is a clear indication of its unconcern over the role cash plays in our economy. When coin shortages developed, little or no effort to straighten out the mess was instituted. Considering the massive number of coins sitting unused in jars and cans across America it is a situation that could easily be resolved. In fact, coinage has yet to return to full use following the pandemic, and claims of coin shortages persist.

This Is Far Too Common
Another place this "war on cash" is showing its head is that as of July 1st my bank started to charge a "cash handling fee" of 13 cents per hundred dollars. Simply put, banks want and feel they are in a position to charge customers for the "inconvenience" of having their employees handle cash.

Let me be clear, banks, saving accounts, and other vehicles designed to hold cash are paying little or nothing in the way of interest. With the numbers just out that the CPI is up for the 15th straight month, cash is under assault. this reflects the fourth straight month above 5% on a year-over-year basis.

While this is the first time the month-over-month CPI has come in below expectations since November 2020 that is not something worthy of celebration. The CPI is routinely criticized for understating and not accurately portraying the true rate of inflation. Another issue is this could be merely the Delta variant's impact creating the illusion inflation is not rising as rapidly as some people think.

We Should Be Concerned
Inflation, currency debasement, and a slew of other problems have always haunted those holding fiat currencies. This does not mean placing your wealth into one of the new cryptocurrencies is the solution. It does not help that in our world where everything seems to be manipulated, central bankers and their ilk all seem to be moving in the same direction. The masses are trapped in a box and the sides are slowly being moved inward.

Because central banks must keep a lot of liquidity in the system in order to keep it functioning, we have the potential of reaching the place where we drown in paper money and inflation soars. This would signify the end of this war on cash and that cash had lost. It is difficult to justify leaving your wealth in cash that is rapidly losing its value. As we stare into the face of rising inflation and possibly lower negative interest rates the reality that all fiat currencies are in trouble and this is just one big Ponzi scheme becomes very apparent.

How fast events unfold is impossible to predict. Just as important is the order in which the four major currencies fail. We have good reason to be concerned about this because it has the potential to strip us of our wealth and cause major disruptions throughout society. Until then, which may be years away, cash has value and plays a very important part in our lives.

A Pandemic Of Authoritarianism...

Authored by Alastair Crooke via The Strategicd Culture Foundation,

What we see is an attempt to impose an idealised technical managerialism onto a complex, rather than pursue real solutions to problems...

Change happens quickly and often unpredictably.
Yet the unpredictable part seemingly is all about physics.

Imagine, dropping one grain of sand after another onto a table. A pile soon develops. Eventually, just one grain starts an avalanche. Most of the time, it’s a small one. But sometimes the pile just slides and disintegrates entirely.

Well, in 1987, three physicists began to play the sand pile game in their lab, seeking an answer to what it is that triggers the typical avalanche? After a huge number of tests, they found there is no typical number of grains that does it.

To find out why such unpredictability should show up in their sand pile game, the physicists next coloured it according to its steepness. Where it was relatively flat and stable, they coloured it green; where steep and, in avalanche terms, ‘ready to go’, they coloured it red.

They found that at the outset, the pile looked mostly green, but that, as the pile grew, the green became infiltrated with ever more red. With more grains, the scattering of red danger fingers grew until a dense skeleton of red instability ran through the pile. Here then was a clue to its peculiar behaviour: a grain falling on a red spot can, by domino-like action, cause sliding at other nearby red spots.

Afghanistan was intended to be a showcase for western technical managerialism – an empirical petri-dish in which to prove the historical inevitability of technocracy. Its doctrine held that free markets somehow obviated the need for politics; that big data and ‘expert’ managerialism in markets (in markets extended to ‘everything’, that is), were the crux to re-setting the world in a better way (i.e. the Build Back Better meme). It was, in a word, postulated on data predictability.

Existential political and social questions in this doctrine however, were to be nuanced through ‘Third Wayism’ (i.e. left unsolved – or fudged with easy answers, and easy money).

Or … ‘regulated’ into compliance. The answer to social problematics was Cloud Computing of mass data. With enough input on past human choices, it is believed that experts can precisely predict human behaviour, which then can be ‘nudged’ in the direction that our élites wish it to go. Nudge behavioural psychology, of course, is about control – not active thinking.

Yet unpredictably, this ‘world class’ managerial team in Kabul, so consumed by the notion of technocracy and mass data management, produced a project so rotten and corrupt (gaming the system) that it collapsed in eleven days.

Many Americans and Europeans have barely recovered from the shock, and remain in denial.

So, back to the sand pile: When the red spots come to riddle the sand pile, the consequences of the next grain become fiendishly unpredictable, the physicists discovered. It might trigger only a few tumblings, or it might instead set off a cataclysmic chain reaction involving millions. The sand pile seemed to have configured itself into a hypersensitive and peculiarly unstable condition, in which the next falling grain could trigger a response of any size whatsoever.

Physics is saying we have systemic instability at a certain point of accumulation. Our technocrats deny it, and therefore will be unable to foresee even such a possibility. Their creed is the model.

There are many subtleties and twists in the story, but the basic message is simple: The peculiar and exceptionally unstable organization of the critical state does indeed seem to explain why our highly complex world, at large, seems so susceptible to unpredictable upheavals. So much for AI and big data’s predictions – In the end, it was the landing of the Taliban ‘red grain’ that triggered an unpredicted, lightning cascade.

The question must be: Will this trigger any chain reaction?
Maybe not, yet there are several other ‘fingers of instability’ in the western sand pile which should be coloured ‘grain red’, and – judged in avalanche terms – may be poised to cascade.

One such is the ‘vaccination’ (or gene therapy): The mRNA ‘vaccine’ doesn’t stop infection, nor does it stop the spread of the virus. A fully vaccinated person can catch the virus and spread it to others. There’s new evidence that double-vaxxed individuals build up huge viral loads in their noses and sinuses, causing them to become super-spreaders, and infect others.

The unvaccinated therefore, have as much to fear in terms of catching the disease from the vaccinated as the other way around.

Israel is providing a useful case study in the effectiveness – or lack thereof – of vaccines.

Israel is one of the most heavily vaxxed countries in the world, with nearly 80% of the population fully vaccinated and almost 100% of the elderly. But now Israel is experiencing a massive increase in infections (and of serious cases), mainly among the fully vaxxed.

There are ample reasons not to receive countless millions of mRNA spike-proteins into one’s circulatory system – including being recovered from Covid, and having stronger antibody protection than the vaccinated. Yet, the latter are being treated as lepers. And governments, like that of PM Draghi in Italy, continue trying to impose ever stringent vaccine mandates and other forms of authoritarian control. ‘Pandemic authoritarianism’ will do nothing to slow the spread of the disease. It may even adversely repercuss – as it has in Israel – to create a graver problem.

What it will do however, is to tear an already tense society apart – particularly when set against the background of deteriorating economies.

It is all reminiscent of the managerialist control efforts of an earlier ‘war’ (the equally failed) Great War On Terror, launched in the wake of 9/11, when a different, yet supposedly, ‘morally justified’ form of mass public control and surveillance was instituted – with the wider, awkward facts of counter-terrorism policy simply edited out from an already anxiety-ridden and de-sensitised audience.

Today, there is an ongoing debate about whether we are going to ‘beat’ Covid in the way the general public conceives of these things. Scientists – not the ones you hear most from – always made clear that vaccines would not stop Covid in its tracks if, like other similar such viruses, the latter mutated into something more dangerous, and transmissible.

The latter would constitute a variant which vaccination might actually accelerate, in a process known as antibody-dependent enhancement (ADE) (on which the jury is still out). There is a popular misconception that – at some critical threshold of vaccination – Covid just ‘goes away’.

The science however, (Draghi aside) suggests that a happy outcome arguably will only happen were new variants to become milder, like a ‘flu.

In Afghanistan, where a ‘managerialist’ Pentagon had for 20 years, until the very eleventh hour, one General after another, repeating the mantra lie that all was fine: Plenty of ‘progress’ evident in Afghanistan. ‘Progress’ always was there – until it wasn’t. Until the state’s collapse. It was in essence a defeat driven by data addiction, at the expense of the ‘real’.

So, in this other ‘field’ of Covid, we find the similar approach: Vaccine ‘progress’ will be achieved, if not with two, then three, and now four shots (in Israel) – until it isn’t. And with that, another ‘grain’ will settle on a red finger of instability.

This issue is doubly pertinent, because just as Covid is not ‘sorted’, neither is the economy. Anyone with a smattering of economics, might have also seen in advance that QE would never achieve its key goals. It is the quintessence of high tech (financial) managerialism. Central banks may keep saying they have achieved their goals (like the Generals calling ‘progress’ in Afghanistan), but the slump in productivity and the rise in inflation, and the shift to a reductive gig economy, all make it abundantly clear this is wishful thinking. It seems, we are now told that only trillion-dollar fiscal spends can halt the rot … Or, like vaccines, potentially with more and more shots, though possible ADE makes infections increase. Again, real solutions are edited out.

The Telegraph’s International Business Editor, Ambrose Evans-Pritchard, sees another red-grain finger of instability running through the sand pile:
“Germany’s long-simmering anger with the European Central Bank (ECB) is again coming to the boil. It is hard to justify perennial [QE] and negative rates when German inflation is near 4pc – and rising. Political realities are forcing the ECB … to prepare for bond tapering sooner than it wants … in order to head off a bust-up with Europe’s anchor power [Germany].
“[This means] it will have to start pulling away the shield that has protected the high-debt Club Med states from market forces for almost seven years, and that has conveniently covered their entire borrowing requirements under the cloak of “monetary policy”. It is this monetary tightening in conjunction with parallel moves by the U.S. Federal Reserve that poses the chief risk to overheated global asset markets, not the virus’ Delta variant.

What is different this time [from past German grumblings], is that inflation can be felt everywhere – gefühlte Inflation – and parts of the German economy are patently overheating … German irritation should not be underestimated: The German Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) this week published an extraordinary paper, more or less alleging that ECB governors from the high-debt states are exploiting QE in order to bail out their own insolvent governments – and doing so in violation of EU treaty law”.
Events are nearing the point where Germany must either challenge this process, or accept that it has lost control of the Euro, and together with other northern ‘frugal’ Euro-states, pull out.

The ramifications deriving from the paradigmatic blow given by the Taliban to the Western technocratic vision; to Europe at its sudden discovery that America does not have Europe’s back; to inflation felt everywhere; to the QE impasse (that interest rates above 2% would kill the western economy); to geopolitical rejection of the western liberal model – arguably all these run through what happens next with Covid, and the mass resort to the imposition of ‘virtuous’ authoritarianism.

There is, in the end, nothing more than one common single thread running through all these fingers of instability: It is the attempt to impose an idealised technical managerialism onto a complex, critical-state reality, rather than pursue real solutions to problems – and the resort to behavioural control psychology to conceal the rot beneath, and compel compliance.

So, we are now poised at a critical state of what Paul McCulley calls ‘stable disequilibrium’ – where all actors work to maximize their personal outcome, and reduce their exposure to fingers of instability. But the longer the game runs, says McCulley, the more likely it is to end in a violent avalanche, as the fingers of instability have more time to build, and, eventually, the state of stable disequilibrium goes critical.

Which finger goes first? Unpredictability again – any grain falling on a red spot can, by domino-like action, cause sliding at other nearby red spots.

Emerging Market Policy Makers Scramble To Tame Soaring Food Inflation As Unrest Looms

THURSDAY, SEP 16, 2021 - 02:45 AM

SocGen's market skeptic Albert Edwards pointed out last year why he started to panic about soaring food prices and how it may cause social unrest in emerging market economies. In July, Bloomberg acknowledged the same phenomenon, and now they point out politicians are searching for policies to neuter the effect of surging costs to thwart unrest.

Pandemic-driven hunger is sweeping the world as global food prices jumped 33% in August from a year ago. According to United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization data, vegetable oil, grains, and meat prices are surging. Extreme weather, record-high shipping costs, soaring fertilizer costs, labor shortages, and port congestion are also aiding in increasing prices.

As a reminder to readers, emerging markets are more vulnerable to food insecurity since working poor spend a far greater share of their income on food than those in the developed world. This makes it easier for large price swings to cause political pressure on elected officials to tame inflation.

Politicians have one job and one job only: get re-elected. So amid a period of food inflation, it doesn't come as a surprise that elected officials in India, Turkey, Europe, and other at-risk countries are requesting food wholesalers to slash prices and tweak trade rules to mitigate the impact on consumers.

Source: Bloomberg
"Governments can intervene and commit to supporting lower consumer prices for a while," said Cullen Hendrix, non-resident senior fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a Washington-based think tank.
"But they can't do it indefinitely."
Bloomberg must have read the script from Edwards' warning last year. They said, "food inflation spurred more than two dozen riots across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, contributing to the Arab Spring uprisings ten years ago." Already, there have been riots in Cuba and South Africa, areas that have extreme wealth inequality and soaring food inflation.

Alastair Smith, senior teaching fellow in global sustainable development at Warwick University in the U.K., said, "food is more expensive today than it has been for the vast majority of modern recorded history," and that is a recipe for unrest.

Bloomberg lists some countries where politicians are preemptively adjusting policy to alleviate consumers:
  • Tunisia: Crisis Management
The ground zero for the Arab Spring protests, Tunisia has raw memories when it comes to food and politics. Just a few days after dismissing the government and suspending parliament in July, President Kais Saied urged producers and retailers to slash prices of selected produce.
Red meat prices fell by about 10% almost instantly, with the nation's main business lobby group Utica announcing unspecified cuts in prices for staples ranging from wheat flour, meat, to dairy, coffee and soft drinks. Fruit prices fell by as much as 20%, Tunisian media reported. Still, consumer prices overall rose at an annual rate of 6.2% in August.
Then there's the prospect of subsidy cuts. A debate is raging about a long-planned shift to focus spending on the neediest citizens as Tunisia tries to secure a new financing program from the International Monetary Fund. That will likely lead to reduced support for items likes flour and sugar as well as electricity for a substantial number of households.
North African neighbors are also looking at subsidy cuts to help fix public finances. In Egypt, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi called for a rise in bread prices. Algerian bakers have already hiked prices of subsidized bread in an act of defiance amid a shortage of wheat or shrunk the size of loaves. In Morocco, authorities announced in July a plan that will see cuts to subsidies on sugar and low-cost wheat flour starting next year, subject to the approval of parliament.
  • Romania: Rethinking Trade
The cost of bread is not just political for grain-importing countries in North Africa and the Middle East. Romania is Europe's top exporter this season, and yet prices have soared at a double-digit pace. Overall inflation is set to be the fastest in eight years in 2021.

The former eastern bloc country also has a dark history when it comes to feeding its population. Severe shortages were a hallmark of communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu before he was overthrown and executed in 1989.

Prime Minister Florin Citu's government wants to cut dependence on imported processed food products as a way to reduce costs and narrow the trade deficit. He is already under pressure after the collapse of his coalition and faced a backlash over his answer to a question about the cost of a loaf of bread. "I don't eat bread," he answered.

Romania earmarked 760 million euros ($896 million) for investment in farm storage and processing, Agriculture Minister Adrian Oros said. "We're one of the biggest exporters of cereals and yet we import frozen bread products," he said. As of this month, the government is waiting for farmers to submit eligible projects to tap the money over the next two years. However, while Romania's agricultural potential is one of the biggest in Europe, it so far failed to use EU money to improve its local production.
  • India: Cutting Duties
With one of the largest malnourished populations, India is also dispersing more aid. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government is distributing 20.4 million tons of free rice and wheat, spending 672.7 billion rupees ($9.1 billion) on extra grains subsidies to reach potentially more than 800 million people.

The country has also implemented trade measures to shield consumers from spikes in global prices. The government has cut duties on palm, soybean and sunflower oils as well as lentils.

India isn't the only nation to use trade to intervene in the food market. War-torn Syria has tightened imports of items ranging from cheese to cashew nuts to safeguard its dwindling foreign currency reserves for wheat purchases. Argentina and Bolivia have curbed exports of beef to keep prices at home in check, as has drought-hit Kazakhstan, which forbade exports of oat, rye and forage and added quotas for forage wheat.
  • Turkey: Market Action
In Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's popularity has slumped because of the economy and cost of living. Food inflation accelerated for a fourth month in August, to 29%.

The government is making another attempt to control prices through threats of fines for businesses selling at elevated prices to an investigation into higher costs. Trade ministry officials are ordered to inspect allegations of excessive price increases in food products at wholesale markets in major Turkish cities, including Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir.

Erdogan's government is also working on some legislative changes to curb food inflation. From October, fresh fruit and vegetables that may have been wasted on farms will be brought to an online market, and an early weather warning system will be put in place to spot potential supply shocks. There's also the prospect of tax incentives and more trade measures. Turkey removed import duties on grains and lentils on Sept. 8.
  • Russia: Losing Battle
The world's top grains exporter shows the limitation of adjusting trade rules to curb prices. Russia introduced a wheat export tax in February, but it's also paying with a loss of market share. The nation's wheat is no longer as competitive, derailing exports to Egypt, one of its biggest customers.

At home, the measures haven't helped curb food inflation, either. It's hovering at a five-year high. Domestic wheat prices jumped in August to levels typically not seen this time of year as farmers and traders were reluctant to sell.
If food inflation remains persistent and not "transitory," measures to tame inflation may become exhausted, and unrest could follow. Perhaps, what happened in Cuba and South Africa is a taste for what's to come.

WASHINGTON—Democrats are taking a fresh look at their proposals for reducing carbon emissions in their $3.5 trillion spending package, hoping to win over moderate party members who raised concerns about elements of the plan.

Democrats have laid out a variety of provisions aimed at combating climate change in the wide-ranging proposal, including tax credits for purchasing electric vehicles, a program to push utilities to produce more clean electricity and a fee on methane emissions. Now, in an effort to unite the party, lawmakers are considering changes and eyeing alternative options, including a carbon tax.

The World Economic Forum published an article last week arguing that colleges "re-educate the racists among us" to end "racism on university campuses."

“Fighting racism demands confrontation at all levels on college campuses by uprooting racist institutional designs inherent in campus-wide admissions systems, recruitment, scholarships, cultures, and histories,” researchers from KAIST-Korea Policy Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution wrote.

The World Economic Forum is an organization that advocates for cooperation among the world’s largest governments and corporations. It is also known for its “The Great Reset” series, a provocation to redesign the global economy following COVID-19 and the lockdown-induced global recession.

The article calls for using “data-driven methods” to measure racial “climates,” as well as “promoting anti-racist culture and policies” through projects such as Centers for Racial Justice.

Additionally, universities must “support affected minorities at various levels,” which — includes “educating people to eradicate their hate” through mandatory diversity training, according to the researchers.

Aiming to solve underrepresentation among faculty and the student body, the researchers also propose a “diversity barometer'' that can “track such progress and hold university leadership accountable” through periodical reviews.

The World Economic Forum is not the first prominent international organization to weigh in on alleged systemic racism in the United States.

Earlier this year, Secretary of State Antony Blinken invited the United Nations to examine American police brutality.

“As the President has repeatedly made clear, great nations such as ours do not hide from our shortcomings; they acknowledge them openly and strive to improve with transparency,” Blinken wrote after the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights released a report about global police brutality against people of African descent.

Campus Reform reached out to the World Economic Forum for comment; this article will be updated accordingly.
