Most here are aware of the Carrington Event of 1859 which fried the world’s 100,000 miles of telegraph lines.
Turns out that historically it was effectively a NON EVENT compared to what is being called Miyake events

I read that report, and it indeed makes the Carrington event look like a mosquito next to an elephant. Fortunately, at the time of some of those other huge events, there was (as far as we know) zero dependence upon electric-driven technology, so the impact was undoubtedly de minimis. Although it certainly may have played havoc with weather systems for a few years.

Unfortunately for the overwhelming population anything that happened more than a few weeks ago is lost in time - if it does not impact what they are doing RIGHT NOW - who knows - who cares.
