Liberals Now the Victims of Their Own Gun Control Laws

For years, liberal democrats in deep blue states like California and New York have been pushing for more regulated and stricter gun control laws due to tragedies around the nation involving firearms.

And for the most part, those laws have won. California, which only gave Trump 31.6 percent of their vote in 2016, officially has some of the strictest gun laws in the nation.

But now, as the coronavirus pandemic is causing widespread chaos and uncertainty, gun stores around the country are experiencing a massive influx of sales. In fact, it has been recorded that March saw the highest number of gun sales recorded ever in American history.

Many of those are anti-gun liberals, seeking out their Second Amendment right for protection as first-time buyers. And low and behold, they have been shocked to find that nearly everything they know about guns and gun laws is entirely false.

Kira Davis, who writes for Red State, recently interviewed Gregg Bouslog, who owns a local gun store and shooting range in Orange Laguna Niguel in southern California.

She asked him about some of his experiences as the owner of On-Target Indoor Shooting Range during these crazy times.

He said, “As the owner of an indoor shooting range and gun store here in California these past 14 years, we have never experienced such a huge demand for firearms and ammunition -even higher than the famous Obama rush of 2012/2013.”

And apparently, a lot of his new customers are those of the more liberal persuasion.

No, he didn’t ask, and none of the paperwork required for purchase does either. But it’s pretty hard to deny when “They are shocked to discover they can’t just walk out of the store with a gun,” as Bouslog says.

The gun store owner went on to describe that “more than a dozen of these buyers (men and women) actually thought that since they filled out and signed everything, they could just walk out and go home with the firearms. Several actually said they saw how easy it was to buy a gun on TV and why did they have to fill out all these forms.”

But California, like several other states, has a 10-day waiting period to purchase a firearm. In addition, gun owners must also be able to prove that they know and fully understand safe and basic firearm handling and laws. And when a customer buys ammunition, a background check must be completed.

Not exactly as easy as getting an abortion, huh?

Bouslog said that most of his recent first-time buyers were so frustrated with the ammo law requirements that they “lost their minds” and “used language not normally heard, even in a gun range.” And when it came to explaining the 10-day minimum before they could take their “property home with them,” “most were VERY vocal,” he said.

“They ask, ‘Why do I need to wait 10 days if I need the protection today or tomorrow?’” And while it’s a fair question, it’s one that gun rights activists have asked liberal politicians for years now only to be ignored.

Bouslog added, “They really went crazy when we told them that for each firearm they had to do the same amount of paperwork and they could only purchase ONE handgun every 30 days.”

He then said, “We had people cuss at us and stomp out when we explained that secondary identification had to be part of the paperwork, as they felt insulted that what they had wasn’t good enough.”

The range owner said that for many of these customer complaints and incidents, his staff has “pointed out that since no one working here voted for these laws, then maybe they might know someone who did. And maybe they should go back and talk to these people and tell them to rethink their position on firearms – we were trying to be nice.”

And they make an excellent point.

The people who most frequently come into his shop and complain that they can’t just walk in and then walk back out with a gun are usually the very same ones who voted that those laws be put in place.

Only it’s clear; they don’t know a damned thing about firearms.

Bouslog, says that it is “truly frightening” how often he and his staff have experienced a gun barrel pointed at them by gun-ignorant liberals.

But at least for now, people like Bouslog are here to share their wisdom, and perhaps, when this is all over, many will think twice when voting for gun laws they really don’t understand.

Finally not a lurker!
Well, as many of us have observed, maybe this thing will wake some people up. Very hard to admit to being wrong about something but maybe they will have the honesty to do that.

Normally they don't get to vote on gun laws.
They get to vote for idiots that vote on gun laws.
