CHILLING: Biden's Domestic Terror Agenda Confirms Conservatives' Worst Fears

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden released a blueprint for his New War on Terror. In the “National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism,” the Biden White House pledges that the administration will combat domestic terrorism “while vigilantly safeguarding peaceful expression of a wide range of views and freedom of political association.” Yet the administration’s biases give conservatives good reason to doubt this pledge.

The White House claims that the “two most lethal elements” of domestic terrorism are “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists who advocate for the superiority of the white race” and “anti-government or anti-authority violent extremists, such as militia violent extremists.”

The document lays out four elements of a strategy to fight domestic terrorism: sharing domestic terrorism analyses at all levels of government and occasionally with the private sector; preventing domestic terrorism recruitment and mobilization to violence; disrupting and deterring domestic terrorism activity; and confronting “long-term contributors to domestic terrorism.”

Each element should raise alarms for conservatives and Republicans, given the Biden administration’s hyperbolic rhetoric on racism and the Capitol riot. Biden has condemned commonsense election reform as “Jim Crow on steroids” and said the Capitol riot was worse than the Lincoln assassination, the John F. Kennedy assassination, and multiple violent attacks on the U.S. Capitol.

The Biden White House’s pledge to share domestic terrorism data “throughout law enforcement at the federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial levels” seems innocent enough. However, the document states that the Treasury Department “is exploring ways to enhance the identification and analysis of financial activity of domestic terrorists.”

While it makes sense to throttle terrorist organizations that raise money for violence, this targeting of financial activity seems reminiscent of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s attempts to cut off conservative groups from charitable funding by branding them “hate groups” and listing them alongside the Ku Klux Klan. In March, an information leak at a crowdfunding website led to a witch hunt against police officers who had contributed to the legal defense fund of Kyle Rittenhouse.

Biden’s plan also pledges to “prevent domestic terrorism recruitment” — an extremely ambitious goal — by targeting “online terrorist recruitment and mobilization” and “eliminating terrorist content online while safeguarding the freedom of online expression.”

Ironically, the president from the very Democratic Party that swelled with chants of “Defund the Police” last summer pledged to allocate “over $77 million” to “state, local, tribal, and territorial partners to prevent, protect against, and respond to domestic violent extremism.” This Democratic president will increase funding for law enforcement, so long as the police are pushing his New War on Terror. The Biden document also calls for more than $100 million in additional resources for the DOJ, FBI, and DHS for this effort.

When it comes to disrupting and deterring domestic terrorism, the Biden document touts new “employee screening to enhance methods for identifying domestic terrorists who might pose insider threats.” Similarly, DOD, DOJ, and DHS aim to “ensure domestic terrorists are not employed within our military or law enforcement ranks.” Whistleblowers in the military have warned that these efforts to combat “extremism” have pushed critical race theory and demonized white people. Various training materials used for “extremism” trainings pit service members against one another and suggest that conservative views are dangerous.

Yet the fourth pillar of Biden’s domestic terror agenda — “Confront long-term contributors to domestic terrorism” — may be the most chilling.

Every component of the government has a role to play in rooting out racism and bigotry and advancing equity for all Americans,” this section of the fact sheet reads. “The U.S. Government, in close partnership with civil society, will address the long-term contributors that are responsible for much of today’s domestic terrorism.

While it makes sense to study the ideologies behind acts of violence, the Biden administration’s biased focus on specific types of terrorism will result in a dangerous double standard. Nowhere does the document mention radical Islam — the ideology behind the Pulse Nightclub shooting and the September 11, 2001, attacks — or the demonization of police — the motive behind the Dallas shooting in 2016.

In fact, the document references a long list of terrorist attacks, focusing on the white supremacist terror of the Ku Klux Klan and claiming that “in recent years, we have seen a resurgence of this and related threats in one horrific incident after another.” The document mentions the Dallas shooter, who appears to have been inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement to assassinate police officers he assumed were white, but it describes this shooter as “an anti-authority violent extremist.” Similarly, it mentions the congressional baseball game shooting in 2017, in which a leftist terrorist attempted to assassinate Republican members of Congress, but the document describes the shooter as “a lone gunman.”

It seems particularly curious that Biden describes white racism and militias as the key terror threats while ignoring the underlying motives of the Pulse Nightclub shooting, the Dallas shooting, and the attempted assassination of Republican congressmen.

Most terrifying, however, Biden pledges that “the U.S. Government will also work to find ways to counter the polarization often fueled by disinformation, misinformation, and dangerous conspiracy theories online, supporting an information environment that fosters healthy democratic discourse.”

During the 2020 presidential election, Biden and his allies in the legacy media dismissed as “misinformation” and “conspiracy” many claims that proved to be true. The Hunter Biden laptop and the possibility that COVID-19 leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology provide the most glaring examples of “misinformation” that turned out not to be misinformation. A CNN director even told Project Veritas that his network ran “propaganda” to help defeat President Donald Trump in 2020.

When Big Tech and the legacy media clamp down on “misinformation” and “conspiracy theories,” this “fact-checking” bias disproportionately hits conservatives and conservative media (you can subscribe to PJ Media to help us survive these threats). If the Biden administration is getting in on the act, that bodes ill for the free speech of anyone to the right of Nancy Pelosi.

In his speech to commemorate the Tulsa Race Massacre early this month, Biden not only compared the Capitol riot to the Tulsa massacre (a true act of white supremacist violence that killed at least 39 people) but he explicitly connected this “through-line” to his upcoming “broader strategy to counter domestic terrorism.” This latest document confirms conservatives’ fears about the tenor of this New War on Terror.

The Biden administration is using the awesome might of the U.S. government to demonize conservative critics as abettors of extremist ideology, if not enemies of the state.

A vigorous fight in a small Texas city unseated advocates of a pernicious racial theory.
The tide is turning in the fight against Critical Race Theory (CRT). Following the exposure in 2020 of CRT training in agencies throughout American government, the Trump Administration issued a ban on CRT at the federal level. President Biden overturned that ban on his first day in office, but the war has gone on—and it’s turning in the direction of reason, common sense, and the American tradition of equality before the law. State legislatures from Texas to Florida have put forward bans on critical race theory. Meanwhile, local activists and parents have taken the fight to their local school boards.

On May 1, two school board candidates in Southlake, Texas converted these media, administrative, and legislative advances into a political win. In a high turnout election marked by intense media coverage, the two anti-CRT candidates for the Carroll ISD School Board won in a landslide—by a 40-point margin. The Southlake victory provides a blueprint for conservatives elsewhere to emulate as they fight to win elections against CRT in school boards across America.

Carroll ISD’s Five-Year Plan
In the fall of 2018, a video of several teenagers singing along to a rap song went viral; the song’s lyrics included a racial slur. The video was filmed at a private post-Homecoming party in Southlake, a largely conservative suburb of Fort Worth and Dallas. The teens were students at Carroll ISD, the prestigious public high school that consistently ranks among the top school districts in Texas. Progressive activists wasted no time in seizing the opportunity to implement (CRT) in Carroll ISD.

The district formulated a “Cultural Competence Action Plan” (CCAP), which set forth ambitious goals, first of which would entail hiring a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) officer to oversee implementation of the Plan. Students and their teachers would be pressed to discover their racial bias and confess their white privilege. Anonymous tip lines would be set up to report alleged “microaggressions” and to impose punishment. “Focus groups” of radicalized students would be organized to report directly to the DEI administration. External auditors would be hired to reshape every District policy, organization, and curriculum in the name of advancing racial equity.

The CCAP adopted all of the quasi-Marxist aims and methods characteristic of CRT. It was even described by its own proponents, unironically, as a “Five Year Plan.”

In some school districts, faculty would have toed the line, parents would have bowed to the wisdom of Progress and Equity, and students would have let it all pass them by. But this is Texas—and Carroll ISD’s mascot is the Dragons.

The Dragons’ Plan
Beginning in 2020, Southlake conservative families formed a political action committee; they filed a barrage of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests; they showed up in record numbers to speak at school board meetings; they educated the community about the evils of CRT; and they recruited winning school board candidates. Hannah Smith and Cameron “Cam” Bryan campaigned for almost 4 months, meeting with community members in 70 meet-and-greets all over Southlake and shared their positive vision for the future of Carroll ISD. Their campaign volunteers went block by block and door by door across Southlake to tell voters the truth about CCAP.

On May 1, Smith and Bryan won with supermajorities of the vote (69 percent and 68 percent, respectively). Local voter turnout for a municipal election broke records, with over 10,000 votes were cast, up more than 150 percent from the previous high.

More than twice as many Republicans voted in the 2021 Carroll ISD election than had voted in any previous May election. In fact, more GOP voters turned out to vote than had turned out in the last two Republican primary elections for President and U.S. Senate!

But massive turnout among independent voters was key to the victory over CRT. In Texas, political affiliation is determined by participation in party primaries, not by party registration, and almost all of the voters who participate in the May elections for school board are also regular primary voters. In Carroll ISD, independents normally make up about 17 percent of the May electorate—an average of less than 500 votes. But this May, independent turnout surged to over 3,500 raw votes and the independent share of the electorate doubled to 35 percent.

There are four lessons to learn from the Southlake victory:
  • Use Freedom of Information Act requests to get the real story
  • Recruit qualified candidates who reflect the community’s values
  • Start early to build a real grassroots base
  • Run a professional political campaign
The Real Story
Unfortunately, many American parents simply don’t know that CRT is being taught in their schools. Once they learn what is being taught, they become overwhelmingly opposed to it. But in order to inform voters about the truth, you need hard facts.

Southlake conservatives submitted hundreds of FOIA requests to get to the bottom of what school officials and their activist allies were really planning and teaching in Carroll ISD. The FOIA campaign ultimately culminated in the criminal indictment of the Carroll ISD School Board president and vice president.

Find Better People
The fight against Critical Race Theory isn’t a Republican or a Democratic issue; it isn’t a black or white or Asian or Hispanic issue; it’s an American issue. But the messengers matter. In the Carroll ISD community, where parents are highly educated and engaged, that meant Hannah Smith—a former clerk for Supreme Court Justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito—and Cam Bryan—President of the North Texas Football league—were the candidates that reflected their community’s values. In different communities, the ideal candidate may be different—but they must be able to feel the pulse of their community.

Base Building
The parents of Carroll ISD understood that they faced a highly organized and disciplined opposition, so they responded early with an organization of their own. They formed Southlake Families, a Texas General Purpose PAC (GPAC), which allowed parents, faculty, and friendly allies to donate to support a centralized campaign against CRT. The PAC helped build and organize dedicated community activists—parents, faculty, and students with skin in the game. These activists organized various efforts, donated to support the PACs political efforts, and collectively provided thousands of volunteer hours to the campaign.

Get Professional
Smith and Bryan launched campaign websites and Facebook pages as well as targeted e-newsletters. They educated the community about what was going on in their schools in face-to-face group gatherings. They solicited and received endorsements from current and past elected officials. They created targeted voter lists using modeling with predictive scores. They texted messages to their base, used automated calls to get out the vote, sent multiple direct mail pieces, they made live calls, and targeted voters online with Facebook ads, videos, and other forms of digital advertising. Each candidate’s campaign put up 900 small yard signs and 50 large roadside signs.

A crucial element of the two campaigns was their joint block walking program. The candidates themselves, their campaign volunteers, local precinct chairs, and professional canvassers worked hand in hand, going block by block and door by door to raise awareness, persuade, identify supporters, and turn them out to vote. In all, more than 4,500 doors were knocked by one of their campaign workers.

The fight against CRT never stops: school boards are up for election at different times in different districts all around the country, and not all those districts are in Republican-leaning cities like Southlake. In the same May election in which Hannah Smith and Cam Bryan won the Carroll ISD election outright, another election went into overtime in a city just a few miles away. Shannon Braun, sister of Fixer Upper’s Chip Gaines, challenged incumbent Mindy McClure, but she came up just short of an outright win, garnering only 48 percent of the vote, triggering a runoff election.

Shannon Braun’s campaign in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD didn’t initially attract as much attention as that in Southlake, but it was a much harder fight. GCISD is just a few miles away from Southlake in Tarrant County, but the campaign was very different, and it offers three lessons to anti-CRT candidates around the country.

Pro-CRT school boards and administrators are willing to lie to parents to their faces, and they are even willing to lie on the record. While the Carroll ISD School Board in Southlake barely concealed the fact that were trying to implement CRT, GCISD’s School Board denied outright that it was implementing it, even as multiple FOIA requests revealed that its administrators were embarking on a radical campaign of indoctrination. Just a few days before Election Day, the school board sent out an email blast from its government account, to parents all across the district, stating that all of the accusations against GCISD and Mindy McClure were false—even though FOIA requests clearly indicated that they were true.

It is possible to beat the misinformation campaigns of pro-CRT boards and their administrative apparatchiks with professionally targeted political campaign. The GCISD Board used the local Parent Teacher Association to try to defend its members, but Shannon Braun was able to defeat them by using all the tools of a modern campaign to get her message out. She and her volunteers canvassed door-to-door, using predictive modeling to identify the likeliest voters. They blasted out text messages and voter-targeted digital ads with high-quality advertising content to reach likely voters all across the district, circumventing the opponents’ whisper campaign of email lists and robocalls. The result was a narrow, hard-fought victory: on June 5, after a long night counting Election Day votes, Shannon Braun beat Mindy McClure 5,174 to 4,723, 52.28 percent to 47.72 percent.

The fight against CRT will not always involve an opponent who is obviously a leftist: Mindy McClure claimed to be a Republican, just like Shannon Braun. McClure tried to use her Republican party affiliation as a shield. She was no leftist activist, she insisted: just look at my primary voting history. But because of Braun’s aggressive campaign, voters saw through her defenses.

Many of the fights against Critical Race Theory will be uphill battles fought between members of the same party. In many of them, the anti-CRT challenger will be forced to fight an uphill battle against an incumbent who is dug in. But the truth about CRT is so explosive that it can shred any defenses. Combined with a disciplined door-to-door campaign, there are few elections against Critical Race Theory that can’t be won.

Victory
All around the nation, like-minded parents, teachers, students, and American citizens are turning the tide in the war against CRT. We are winning battles in public school districts, in private businesses, and in the media. The victory in Southlake for Smith and Bryan shows how to fight the political battles of the war against Critical Race Theory and win—one door at a time.

To Stage the Counter-Counter-Revolution, GOP Must Learn From Lenin
Michael Walsh
Michael Walsh

June 14, 2021 Updated: June 14, 2021

Commentary
“What is to be done?” That’s the question posed in a 1902 pamphlet by Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as “Lenin,” as the young revolutionary began to flesh out his weaponization of Karl Marx’s principles of communism.

It wasn’t enough, argued Lenin in typically turgid prose, to expect Russia’s nearly non-existent industrialized working class—the proletariat—to come to international Socialism on its own.

Instead, he believed, the radical “Populists” who advocated the communization of the peasantry as a necessary first step were in fact advocating a form of capitalism—and that couldn’t be allowed to happen. True Socialism, said Lenin, could only be found in Marxism, and for that a strong Communist Party was needed to guide the Russian people to the correct conclusions. And so he provided one.

Two decades later, Lenin was the absolute master of the new Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. Against all odds, a true communist society had come into being without ever having passed through a capitalist phase.
The horror that resulted would last until Christmas Day, 1991, when the USSR collapsed of its own “internal contradictions” and in the face of implacable opposition and a clear objective from Ronald Reagan. “We win, they lose,” he said.

Today, as the rising tide of socialism washes over most of the so-called “blue” states and has begun to lap at the steps of the Capitol, it’s wise for us to revisit the lessons of Leninism and to repeat his question. What, indeed, is to be done?

Bury Trump
For too long, conservatives have been on the back foot, constantly reacting to the Left’s ongoing provocations and, mostly fruitlessly, attempting either to resist them or roll them back. From gay marriage to transsexuals in the military—both long thought not only unthinkable but, in the case of the latter, unbelievable—has been but the work of a few years. During the same period, not a single major conservative policy has been enacted, in part because the Republican Party is engaged in defense, when it should be on offense.

The Trump administration managed briefly to roll back via executive order some of the most egregious excesses of the Obama administration, but it failed to finish off Obamacare—thanks, John McCain!—and even its legislative victories, such as tax reform, are in the process of being swiftly negated, thanks to the Democrats’ narrow control of both houses of Congress.

Now, under the “Biden administration”—which is by all accounts being run directly and indirectly from chez Obama in Washington’s tony Kalorama neighborhood—the goal is to bury the Trump administration and make sure such a thing never happens again. (Why do you think Obama, alone among past presidents, broke with tradition and remained, along with his family and his advisors, in D.C. throughout the Trump administration?)

The sentient Democrats wish to make Trump an object lesson in the price of political insubordination, even to the point of trying to jail the former president as well an anathematizing his allies and supporters.

If the 2020 election wasn’t a counter-revolutionary coup, abetted by unconstitutional changes in state election law “justified” by the non-threat of COVID-19 and assiduously promoted by the media, it certainly is beginning to look very much like one.

Counter-Counter-Revolution
So let the counter-counter-revolution begin. Over the course of the next several weeks, I’ll outline here some concrete answers to Lenin’s question. Some of my prescriptions I first published in “Rules for Radical Conservatives” (writing under the name “David Kahane”) in 2010, including “Know Your Enemy,” “Get on Offense and Stay on Offense,” and “Get Better Officers.”

That’s also the book in which I coined the term, “The Cold Civil War,” which seems increasingly on the verge of turning hot unless we can find a political way back from the BLM/Antifa brink.

Just as I paid homage to Saul Alinsky’s practical wisdom in “Rules,” let me now advocate a strong dose of Leninist spirit as we open up a new front in our war against the radical Left. Lenin knew that his Marxist revolution could not be left to the “petit bourgeois democrats” of the populist left in Russia; he had to grab the country by the ears while the grabbing was good.

Similarly, conservatives cannot leave the new Resistance to the current crop of Republican “leadership,” including Kevin McCarthy and, until recently, Liz Cheney, who are held in contempt by a large number of House Republicans. But while the Democrats will follow Nancy Pelosi to hell and back, the GOP is still riven by the conflict between actual conservatives, represented by the House Freedom Caucus and others, and the country club wing personified by former House speaker Paul Ryan.

Thus, as we start thinking about winning the congressional elections of 2022, American patriots must first resolve to primary, defeat and replace every single Republican who voted to impeach or convict Donald Trump.

One Voice, Small Tent
This is not the place to argue the merits (non-existent, in any case) of the two bogus impeachments. Rather it is to force the GOP to act more like the Leninist/Stalinist Democrats and speak with one voice, in the pursuit of a single objective: winning.

In these fraught times, “comity” is luxury only congenital losers can afford, and the sooner the party purges itself the better off both it and the country will be. As Barry Goldwater famously offered: “a choice, not an echo.” Now’s the time to take him up on it.

This is also no time for a “big tent” party. As the Lenin Democrats have illustrated so vividly since the planned and scripted rise of Barack Obama in 2008, a narrowly configured tent will do the job. Their party is a cozy little snuggery of woke tech oligarch billionaires with a chokehold on their media lackeys and access to more money than ever before in human history; and a seething, resentful, and violent underclass that functions as their “conscience” but more importantly as their street thugs and enforcers while posing as perpetual victims of their ideological opponents as they seek redress for their “legitimate grievances” (shopworn but still potent communist terminology).

That homogeneity has been good enough to win three of the past four presidential elections, and there’s no sign they wish to change, especially now, in the third term of the former Barry Soetero. So ideologically rigid and confident are they that they’ve cheerfully jettisoned their former base, the now-vilified white working class, and have never looked back.

Unlike a GOP which has taken too readily to heart William F. Buckley’s famous “standing athwart history, yelling Stop!” maxim, the Democrats stand for something they call “progress”: fiscal irresponsibility, the collapse of traditional American values and virtues, sexual license, military weakness, cultural pornography, and civilizational fecklessness, all in the name of “diversity,” “tolerance,” and “fairness.”

What does the GOP stand for? The party fought Trump every step of the way, double-crossed him constantly, feebly supported his policy positions, undercut his authority via the media at every opportunity, and otherwise made it clear to the conservative electorate that in the GOP establishment they had an enemy every bit as dangerous as the Democrats.

Lenin won his counter-revolution against both the Tsar and his fellow radicals, and did so with just a relative handful of followers: Trotsky, Sverdlov, Zinoviev, Kalinin, Bukharin. Together, they delivered the intellectual destabilization of the Tsarist regime, created the conditions for the short-lived Kerensky government in early 1917, and then seized power for themselves later that year. They never had the majority of the Russian people behind them but they had one thing their rivals lacked: a will to power.

There’s a lesson here somewhere. About which, more next week.

AG Merrick Garland: Domestic Terrorists Fighting For the “Superiority of the White Race” Are the Greatest Threat to the US (VIDEO)

US Attorney General Merrick Garland on Tuesday announced the DOJ’s national strategy for countering domestic terrorism.

Garland said the biggest threat comes from white supremacists and spoke about the investigations related to the January 6 riot.

More than 8,500 BLM-Antifa terrorists were arrested during the 2020 summer of rage after doing billions in damage, but Merrick Garland is obsessing over non-existent white supremacists.

“In the FBI’s view, the top domestic violent extremist threat comes from racially or ethically motivated violent extremists specifically those who advocate for the superiority of the white race,” Garland said on Tuesday.

Media: Conservative Reaction to Critical Race Theory Is 'White Privilege'

Abigail Streetman
June 15th, 2021 1:58 PM

Critical Race Theory has been all the rage this year, literally. The media have adopted its language and assumptions, while companies, governments and even the U.S. government have inflicted the ideological poison on their personnel. And yes, it has crept into some schools. the mainstream media can’t stop talking about it. Conservatives have had enough of the left-wing indoctrination and many states have stepped up by creating legislation that prohibits schools from teaching curriculum that paints one race as superior to another. But now the backlash is sparking a backlash of its own, as progressives swear up and down they don't see what the big deal is.

Valerie Strauss of The Washington Post published an article on June 11 titled “Teachers across the country protest laws restricting lessons on racism.” That’s The Post for you, professionals at creating deceptive headlines. Strauss covered the National Day of Action this past weekend in which hundreds of ‘educators’ gathered both virtually and in person in over 20 cities to keep CRT alive.

These teachers are angry because they can’t encourage students to hate America anymore. Zinn Education Project (a hard-left heavily pro-CRT organization) has created a pledge with over 3,000 signatures and insists that they will work to “better understand problems in our society,” and “develop collective solutions to those problems.” Ironically, they claim to be “for truth-telling” and promoting “a more just society.”

(That any group named for Howard Zinn cares for truth is absurd on its face.) CRT is the opposite of reality. Rather than creating a real “solution” to the problem of “systemic racism,” critical race theorists begin with an assumption that everything is racist and claim that those who do not acknowledge this are just a part of the problem.

On June 13, USA Today published a similar article from Melissa Smith, an Oklahoma City Community College professor. She had her class on Race and Ethnicity in the U.S. put on hold in light of a bill that was signed into law by Governor Kevin Stitt in early May. The law prohibits instructors from teaching “that one race or sex is inherently superior to another race or sex.” As a result her class became an elective rather than a required part of the curriculum. “What screams white privilege more than rewriting a degree program because white privilege makes white people uncomfortable?” says the professional indoctrinator.

The article went on to discuss how Republican lawmakers who ban CRT in schools have no real reason to do so. The author also talked to one attorney who claims that laws similar to the bill in Oklahoma “would ban women’s studies, too, or any discussion about race or gender bias,” and “eliminate any discussion about the civil rights movement.” Really? Any educator who actually paid attention in history class knows that there are plenty of ways to teach the civil rights movement without demonizing white people and blaming every issue in society on the color of an individual's skin.

Slate interviewed Ibram X. Kendi on June 12, asking questions such as why “Republicans and so many people are so in a kerfuffle about [CRT] now?” According to Kendi, Republicans are attacking CRT because they can’t attack the idea of “systemic racism” or “anti-racists.” Apparently he forgot that those terms were created by Critical Race Theorists. “I’ve certainly been inspired by [CRT] and critical race theorists.” Kendi states during the interview. He further explains that the ways when “formulat[ing] definitions of racism and racist and anti-racism and anti-racist” he not only used “historical evidence, but also Kimberlé Crenshaw’s intersectional theory.” Crenshaw of course is one of the most prominent ‘scholars’ of CRT.

This Is Your Brain on Critical Race Theory

By CHARLES C. W. COOKE
June 14, 2021 3:40 PM

Tom-Hanks.jpg

How an ideology leads to mental contortions — and to not-so-quasi-totalitarianism.

NRPLUS MEMBER ARTICLELast week, the actor Tom Hanks responded to calls for a more robust accounting of America’s racial history by penning a piece in the New York Times about the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre.

“For all my study,” Hanks conceded, “I never read a page of any school history book about how, in 1921, a mob of white people burned down a place called Black Wall Street, killed as many as 300 of its Black citizens and displaced thousands of Black Americans who lived in Tulsa, Okla.” This, Hanks suggested, was perhaps because “History was mostly written by white people about white people like me, while the history of Black people — including the horrors of Tulsa — was too often left out.”

Yesterday, writing for NPR, Eric Deggans explained that what Hanks had written in the Times was “not enough.” “Tom Hanks,” Deggans proposed, “is a non-racist.” But, he added, “it’s time for him to be anti-racist.” Echoing almost verbatim an argument that has been advanced by Ibram X. Kendi, Deggans explained that there is a “difference between being non-racist and being anti-racist” and that Hanks had not yet bridged the gap. “Anti-racism,” Deggans submitted, “implies action — looking around your universe and taking specific steps to dismantle systemic racism.” And while Hanks’s words are nice, they did not change the fact that he “has built a sizable part of his career on stories about American white men Doing the Right Thing.” “If he really wants to make a difference,” Deggans concluded, “Hanks and other stars need to talk specifically about how their work has contributed to these problems and how they will change.”

Deggans’s essay serves as a perfect illustration of the cynical Motte and Bailey game that is currently being played by America’s self-appointed “anti-racists.” While in their Motte, the sponsors of critical race theory and its equally ugly relatives insist that all they truly want is for America’s schools to do a better job of teaching the history of American racism. On Twitter yesterday, Berkeley’s Robert Reich provided a solid example of this position with the claim that, by opposing the adoption of CRT in schools, the Republican Party is “trying to ban educators from teaching about the anguished role racism has played in the shaping of America.” In the safe haven of the Bailey, however, such defensible-sounding arguments are quickly swapped out for a set of considerably more extreme contentions, such as the claim that unless a person spends his days actively dismantling whatever “structures” a handful of “experts” have decided are problematic — including himself and his work, if necessary — he is in practice aiding and abetting racism. Clearly, Tom Hanks thought that he was playing inside the Motte. Clearly, he was not.

Critics of this grotesque tactic are invariably informed that they do not actually understand what critical race theory or modern “anti-racism” really are — and, as such, that they are in no position to oppose its adoption by America’s schools. But no such confusion can be alleged in this case. In Slate last week, Kendi was called forth to “explain critical race theory” for the benefit of those who don’t “know what it is.” Kendi’s explanation makes clear that the framework Deggans used in his essay on Tom Hanks is simply the application of CRT’s core structural claims to the movie industry, along with the verbatim utilization of the “racist”/“non-racist”/“antiracist” categories that Kendi himself has made famous. Want to know what critical race theory does to a person’s mind? Look no further than to Eric Deggans.

Ultimately, Deggans’s approach is a totalitarian one, from which there is no meaningful chance of escape. Had Tom Hanks elected to stay quiet, he would have been deemed guilty of inadvertently endorsing the unequal status quo. Had he rejected Deggans’s premise entirely, he’d have been deemed guilty of explicitly endorsing the unequal status quo. Having chosen to speak up in a way that tracked neatly with what he was told was expected of him, he was deemed guilty of inadequately fighting the unequal status quo. Even if he were to follow Deggans’s advice to the letter, he would still be deemed guilty of something.

Deggans complains that Hanks has often portrayed heroic white men on screen. But, as a white man, was he supposed to do the opposite? (And, if he had, what do we think would have been the response?) Deggans complains that, by promoting stories about the heroes of D-Day, the Apollo program, the Maersk Alabama hijacking, and other adventures, Hanks has spent a career “amplifying ideas of white American exceptionalism and heroism.” But the people Hanks has played really were heroes — which means that if Hanks were truly to “dismantle and broaden the ideas [he] helped cement in the American mind,” he would either have to lie about history, ignore it, or condemn his entire life’s work purely on the basis of his race — thereby committing the very sins that, when they are sitting in their Motte, “anti-racists” such as Deggans strenuously deny they are demanding. Perhaps anticipating this objection, Deggans concludes his litany of complaints by submitting that Hanks has failed to use his position to tell other important stories. But, even if this were true, it would still represent a trap. Tom Hanks could announce tomorrow that he intends to spend the rest of his life making films of which Eric Deggans approves, and within hours he would be accused of taking up spaces that belong to black actors, writers, producers, and directors; within days, it would be said that he was undermining important “voices of color”; and within a month, he’d be charged with possession of a “white savior complex.”

In the grand scheme of things, Eric Deggans’s view of Tom Hanks is not going to have a profound effect on the future of the United States. But the degree to which the country adopts the ideology that motivated that view most certainly will. Like Ibram X. Kendi, Deggans has adopted a Manichean worldview in which each and every person is placed on either the wrong or the right side of a set of inchoate and ever-shifting lines. That Tom Hanks, of all people, has been found wanting should tell us all we need to know about the integrity, the efficacy, and the conceivable consequences of this most peculiar and destructive of ideas.

Pentagon to train departing service members to shun recruitment by 'anti-government' extremists

The new National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism was outlined Tuesday by the White House.

By Susan Katz Keating
Updated: June 15, 2021 - 11:32pm

The Pentagon will train service members leaving the military to resist being recruited by violent extremists, as part of a sweeping new plan by the Biden administration to squelch the "lethal threat" from violent white supremacists.

The plan is part of the new National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism, outlined on Tuesday by the White House.

"Our approach will protect both the nation and the civil liberties of its citizens," the White House wrote in a June 15 statement.

A multipronged effort to root out "domestic terrorism," the plan in part focuses on the notion that military members, who are trained to use weapons, could be targeted by extremist recruiters.

"The Department of Defense, in addition, is incorporating training for service members separating or retiring from the military on potential targeting of those with military training by violent extremist actors," the report reads. "The U.S. Government is also developing a mechanism by which veterans can report recruitment attempts by violent extremist actors."

The report did not specify who would conduct the training, nor what it would entail. The mention of military personnel in connection with violent extremism, though, sent ripples through military and veterans' communities.

"They don't come out and say it directly, but they're scared of us," one Army infantry sergeant said.

"This is wrong," one Department of Veterans Affairs official told Just the News. "They want you to report your neighbor."

While the reporting mechanism for veterans has not yet been announced, the anti-recruitment training for military personnel is expected to begin before the end of the year.

Military members who retire or leave the service are already required to attend Pentagon-sponsored "transition assistance" classes while still in uniform. The classes typically last for up to two weeks, and include lessons on how to navigate the Department of Veterans Affairs, and how to translate military experience into obtaining a civilian job.

The new anti-radicalization element likely will be incorporated as a module into the existing program, Defense Department sources told Just the News.

The overall effort to root out domestic terrorism is aimed at the "two most lethal elements" of the current threat, according to the White House. Those threats consist of "(1) racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists who advocate for the superiority of the white race and (2) anti-government or anti-authority violent extremists, such as militia violent extremists," the June report reads.

The program has the full support of the Biden-era Pentagon.

"The release today of the first-ever National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism is a milestone in our country's efforts to address a serious and growing security threat," Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in a Tuesday statement. "While domestic law enforcement agencies take the lead, the Department of Defense will do our part to support this important strategy. That includes maintaining the Department's robust relationship with federal law enforcement as well as refining our policies to better address this issue within the Department."

Attempting to prevent radicalism overall might backfire, cautioned one RAND Corporation terrorism expert.

"The idea of the federal government patrolling ideology to identify dangerous beliefs will provoke outrage and raise civil-liberties concerns on both the left and the right," wrote Brian Michael Jenkins in a February commentary.

The president's fiscal year 2022 budget includes "significant additional resources for the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation to ensure that they have the analysts, investigators, and prosecutors they need to thwart domestic terrorism and do justice when the law has been broken," according to the newly released strategy report.

"In the meantime, Federal law enforcement is working to identify interim measures that will allow the necessary flexibility in movement of human resources to ensure that the domestic terrorism threat is addressed not only thoroughly but also aggressively," the report reads.

As part of the new strategy, the Department of Homeland Security has designated domestic violent extremism as a "National Priority Area" and will allot more than $77 million "to prevent, protect against, and respond to domestic violent extremism," according to DHS.

The new overall strategy includes an appeal for enhanced screening and vetting of law enforcement and military personnel, to expunge "insider threats" from their ranks.

GOP Lawmakers Unveil Bill To Defund 1619 Project In Public Schools

TUESDAY, JUN 15, 2021 - 11:25 PM
Authored by Isabel van Brugen via The Epoch Times,

A group of Republican lawmakers on Monday unveiled legislation that would block federal funds for public schools from being used to teach the controversial 1619 Project published by The New York Times.

Reps. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) and Rick Allen (R-Ga.), alongside Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), reintroduced the “Saving American History Act” (pdf) which “would ban federal funds from being used to teach the 1619 Project in K-12 schools or school districts,” a news release from Buck’s office states.

The 1619 Project, an offshoot of the Marxist teaching model critical race theory (CRT), has been criticized for attempting to rewrite American history as fundamentally racist and disregarding the merits of the nation’s founding documents. The controversial project has been panned by historians as having false information.

It is a “racially divisive and revisionist account of history that threatens the integrity of the Union by denying the true principles on which it was founded,” the bill states.
“Critical Race Theory is dangerous, anti-American, and has no place in our nation’s schools,” said Buck in a statement.

“School curriculum plays a critical role in a child’s development and greatly influences the type of adult they will become.”
The lawmaker added, ”Children shouldn’t be taught that they will be treated differently or will be racist because of their skin color.”

Former President Donald Trump established the so-called “1776 Commission” in the final months of his presidency to combat “false narratives about the American Founding,” however, it was formally dissolved by President Joe Biden upon taking office.

The Biden administration has put CRT as its top priority and included “equity”—which emphasizes equality of outcome, rather than equal opportunity—as its focus for all legislation.

Allen said in a statement that the 1619 Project “aims to indoctrinate our students into believing that America is an evil country.”

“There is no room for that in our classrooms,” the lawmaker continued.

“We must teach our young folks to learn from our nation’s past in order to form a more perfect union. Teaching revisionist history and promoting divisive ideology will not move our nation forward.”
The Georgia lawmaker said the measure will ensure federal funds are used to provide students with a “historically accurate curriculum.”
“Activists in schools want to teach our kids to hate America and hate each other using discredited, Critical Race Theory curricula like the 1619 Project,” charged Cotton.

“Federal funds should not pay for activists to masquerade as teachers and indoctrinate our youth.”

Parents across the country have begun pushing back against the use of CRT in schools, while an increasing number of local and state governments have responded with legislation banning its use.

Georgia’s state Board of Education passed a resolution in May that says students should not be taught CRT in schools.

Governors from Tennessee, Idaho, Arkansas, and Oklahoma have already signed anti-CRT bills, while in Texas and Iowa, similar legislation is awaiting signatures from the governors.

Biden launches Domestic Terrorism Strategy targeting anti-gov’t ideology, white supremacy and more

The White House on Tuesday announced President Joe Biden’s National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism, a first-of-its-kind, four-pillared approach to improve how domestic terrorism is defined, identified, and combated. The strategy’s main aim is to target those with racist or anti-government ideology, which the administration says is espoused by domestic terrorists.

The strategy says that experts and evidence have shown today’s domestic terrorists include those who espouse “racial or ethnic bigotry and hatred” as well as “anti-government or anti-authority sentiment.”

However, anti-law enforcement ideologies such as those espoused by Antifa and Black Lives Matter were not mentioned.

“Racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists (principally those who promote the superiority of the white race) and militia violent extremists are assessed as presenting the most persistent and lethal threats,” the strategy says.

A senior administration official told American Military News and other outlets on a Monday press call that the strategy aims to “create conditions of public safety and ensure people can express their political views as is appropriate in a democracy.”

The strategy’s four pillars consist of:
  1. Understand and share domestic terrorism-related information
  2. Prevent domestic terrorism recruitment and mobilization to violence
  3. Disrupt and deter domestic terrorism activity
  4. Confront long-term contributors to domestic terrorism
The strategy will entail further support to law enforcement via funding and training to help law enforcement partners identify domestic terror threats and counter “those who seek to use violence to achieve their political end,” the official said.

The administration official also added that the strategy will include enhanced partnerships with tech companies in the effort to identify and combat “domestic terrorism content” online.

The official said the administration is working with tech companies “as to facilitate their more assertive voluntary enforcement of their terms of service on their platforms to protect other users from those who might pose threats of violence.”

The strategy also aims to “foster programming that can build digital literacy and other forms of resilience to domestic terrorist recruitment online” as well as malicious content from extremists.

“Domestic terrorism – driven by hate, bigotry, and other forms of extremism— is a stain on the soul of America. It goes against everything our country strives for and it poses a direct challenge to our national security, democracy, and unity,” Biden said in a statement on Tuesday.

The strategy also suggest policy changes will follow in the Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and Department of Justice.

The strategy calls for the DOD to develop a plan to ensure that people recruited into the military and those separating or retiring from the military “are worthy of the role of a military member” and are not “preyed upon,” the official said.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin called the strategy a milestone in our country’s efforts to address a serious and growing security threat,” and vowed the Department of Defense’s support, including its “robust relationship with federal law enforcement.”

Austin also said supporting the strategy includes DOD’s “refining our policies to better address this issue within the Department.”

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the DHS is “undertaking a number of actions as part of an all-of-government effort to fight domestic terrorism,” including open-source information to identify and counter threats, among others.

Violent extremism has been designated a “National Priority Area” in DHS’s Homeland Security Grants, allocating $77 million to prevent and respond to domestic violent extremism.

Tucker Carlson: Government agents may have helped organize the Jan. 6 Capitol riot
The government is hiding the identity of many law enforcement officers who were present at the Capitol on Jan. 6

Tucker Carlson

By Tucker Carlson | Fox News
Tucker: We are looking at growing authoritarianism
'Tucker Carlson Tonight' host says there is an 'unprecedented' effort to 'round up' dissenters
This weekend, police in Columbus, Georgia arrested a 39-year-old man called Justin Tyren Roberts. Over the course of a single day, Roberts shot five separate people in two different states. We know this because Roberts has admitted it. He also said why he did it. In his confession, police say, Roberts, "explained [that] throughout his life, specifically white males had taken from him." So he decided to kill them. In one case, Roberts walked up behind a white man, a total stranger, as he was getting out of a car and shot him in the back.

By any definition, these were crimes of viciousness motivated by race hate. They’re not unique in this country — not by a long shot. If we wanted to — and we don’t — we could do a whole show on crimes like these. Nor are they especially surprising, when you think about it.

If you really believed the propaganda from the Democratic Party and BLM are telling you — that white males are intentionally destroying the world — you might be motivated to hurt someone. Why wouldn’t you? What’s striking is how little attention Justin Tyren Roberts’ shooting spree has received. Imagine if the colors here were reversed. Roberts would be leading every newscast tonight. Needless to say, he’s not. In fact, this may be the last time you hear his name on television. On one level, that’s fine with us. Picking at the wound, America’s wound is unwise. We’ve always thought that. We think it more now than ever. A multi-racial country can only survive if it self-consciously deemphasizes race — if it treats every person as an individual and not a member of some larger group that’s guilty or innocent. That should be the goal, it’s our history, and we should get back to it as soon as we can.

placeholder

MULTI-STATE SHOOTING SPREE WAS RACIALLY MOTIVATED, SUSPECT WAS TARGETING WHITE MEN: REPORT

But that’s not what our leaders are doing. They’re doing just the opposite. They’re working hard to divide us into warring camps with lies. They’re telling us a story that is completely — and very much intentionally — disconnected from reality. They’re claiming that something called white supremacy, a term they never define, is the greatest threat we face. A greater threat than Al Qaeda or ISIS. Our thoroughly craven attorney general told us that very lie today.

MERRICK GARLAND: In the FBI's view, the top domestic violent extremist threat comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists, specifically those who advocated for the superiority of the white race.

That was the Attorney General of the United States stating a fact backed up by the FBI. So it’s fair to ask the obvious questions.

Who are these violent white supremacists exactly? What are their names? What crimes have they committed? We still don’t know. Merrick Garland didn’t tell us. He spent most of his speech talking about the riot at the Capitol on January 6th, an event that had nothing whatsoever to do with race. But Merrick Garland lied about that. He, like the rest of the liars you see on television, wants you to believe and wants history to record, that January 6th was an attempted insurrection by white supremacist revolutionaries bent on taking over this country. We came this close, Garland said. And that’s why "We must adopt a broader societal response to tackle the problem's deeper roots."

GREG GUTFELD: THE MEDIA IS EGGING ON CITIZENS TO HUNT DOWN OTHER CITIZENS

Because of January 6th, says the chief law enforcement officer in the United States of America, and many other members of Joe Biden’s cabinet, we must now use law enforcement and military force to arrest, imprison, and otherwise crush anyone who leads opposition to Joe Biden’s government. That’s their position. They say it out loud.

So what is this, exactly? Well, it’s a big change in the way the U.S. government treats its own citizens. We’re looking at the transformation of a democratic republic into something else. We’re looking at growing authoritarianism. That’s not an overstatement. Vladimir Putin knows authoritarian systems well. He sees very clearly what’s happening in this country.

KEIR SIMMONS, NBC: Did you order Alexei Navalny's assassination?

PUTIN: Of course not. We don’t have this kind of habit of assassinating anyone. That’s number one. Number two, I want to ask you: Did you order the assassination of the woman who walked into the Congress and who was shot and killed by a policeman? Do you know that 450 individuals were arrested after entering the Congress? And they didn't go there to steal a laptop. They came with political demands.

Under normal circumstances, we wouldn’t quote a foreign adversary criticizing our government, but honestly, those are entirely fair questions. Who did shoot Ashli Babbit? Why don’t we know? Are anonymous federal agents now allowed to kill unarmed women who protest the regime? That’s OK now? No, it’s not ok. It will never be ok. And why are all those January 6th protesters still in prison on trespassing charges, while so many Biden voters who torched federal buildings are walking free? What’s the answer to that question? If that happened in Russia, we rightly call it scary. We’d call Putin a dictator. In fact, we do call him a dictator.

LEVIN QUESTIONS STANDARD OF JUSTICE AS CAPITOL RIOTERS HELD UNDER STRICT CONFINEMENT, WHILE ANTIFA ROAMS FREE

And speaking of January 6th, why are there still so many things, basic factual matters, we don’t know about that day? Why is the Biden administration preventing us from knowing? Why is the administration hiding more than 10,000 hours of surveillance tape from the U.S. Capitol? What could possibly be the reason for that? Even as they call for more openness. We need to get to the bottom of it. They could release those tapes today, but they’re not. Why?

We ought to be asking those questions, urgently. Because as the attorney general reminded us, a lot depends on the answers. At least one news organization is. Revolver.news is a new site and turned out to be one of the last honest outlets on the internet. A new piece on the site suggests an answer to some of these questions. We know the government is hiding the identity of many law enforcement officers who were present at the capitol on January 6, not just the one who killed Ashli Babbitt. According to the government's own court filings, those law enforcement officers participated in the riot. Sometimes in violent ways.

We know that because, without fail, the government has thrown the book at most of the people who were in the Capitol on January 6. There was a nationwide dragnet to find them. Many of them are still in solitary confinement tonight. But, strangely, some people who participated in the riot haven't been charged. Look at the documents. The government calls these people "unindicted co-conspirators." What does that mean? It means that in potentially every case, they're FBI operatives.

ASHLI BABBITT'S HUSBAND DEMANDS IDENTITY OF CAPITOL OFFICER WHO SHOT HER BE RELEASED: ‘NOBODY IS TELLING US’

For example, one of those "unindicted co-conspirators" is someone the government identifies only as "Person Two." According to those documents, "Person Two" stayed in the same hotel room as an "insurrectionist" named Thomas Caldwell, who's alleged to be a member of the group called the Oath Keepers. "Person Two" also "stormed the barricades" at the Capitol on January 6, alongside Thomas Caldwell.

The government's indictments further indicate that Caldwell -- who by the way is a 65-year-old man -- was led to believe there would be a "quick reaction force" also participating in January 6. That quick reaction force, Caldwell was told, would be led by someone called "Person Three" -- who had a hotel room and an accomplice.

But wait. Here’s the interesting thing. "Person Two" and "Person Three" were organizers of the riot. The government knows who they are, but the government has not charged them. Why is that? You know why. They were almost certainly working for the FBI. So FBI operatives were organizing the attack on the Capitol on January 6, according to government documents. And those two are not alone.

PELOSI PUSHES FORWARD WITH VOTING RIGHTS, JAN. 6 INVESTIGATIONS CITING ‘REPUBLICAN ASSAULT ON OUR DEMOCRACY’

In all, Revolver News reported that there are, quote, "upwards of 20 unindicted co-conspirators in the Oath Keeper indictments, all playing various roles in the conspiracy, who have not been charged for virtually the exact same activities — and in some cases much, much more severe activities — as those named alongside them in indictments."

Huh? So it turns out this white supremacist insurrection was, again, by the government’s own admission in these documents, organized, at least in part, by government agents.

Are you shocked? You shouldn't be. In March, the FBI director admitted the bureau is infiltrating as many dissident groups as it possibly could.

SEN. AMY KLOBUCHAR: There must be moments where you think if we would have known, if we could have infiltrated this group or found out what they were doing, and that -- you have those moments?

WRAY: Any time there is an attack, especially one that's this horrific, that strikes right at the heart of our system the government, right at the time of transfer of power is being discussed, you can be darn tooting that we are focused very, very hard on how could we get better sources, better information, better analysis so that we can make sure that something that what happened on January 6th never happens again.

Wait a second – there’s a huge difference between using an informant to find out what a group you find threatening might do, and paying people to organize a violent action, which is what happened, apparently according to government documents, on January 6.

TUCKER CARLSON: IF YOU READ GOVERNMENT DATA, YOU'LL BE THROWN IN JAIL AND CENSORED BY BIG TECH

That’s a line, and the FBI has crossed it. And that’s not the first time. They crossed that line in Michigan. Remember that plot to kidnap Governor Gretchen Whitmer? And Whitmer is able to cover some of her own incompetence, although not all, by pointing to the fact that she’s not a victim. In the FBI's telling, a whole team of insurrectionists was going to drive a van up to Gretchen Whitmer's vacation house and throw her in the back and drive away.

The mastermind, the bureau said, was a man called Adam Fox. Who was Adam Fox? He turned out to be a homeless guy who was living in the basement of a vacuum repair shop.

The whole story was a farce. Insulting really. But if you read the government's charging documents carefully, and you should, you'll see that it gets even more ridiculous. It turns out that one of the five people in the planned "Gretchen Whitmer kidnap van" was an FBI agent. In the van. Another was an FBI informant. The feds admit that an informant or undercover agent was "usually present" in the group’s meetings. In other words, nearly half the gang of kidnappers were working for the FBI. Remember the guy who suggested using a bomb to blow up a bridge as part of the plot? That got a lot of coverage. That guy was an undercover FBI agent.

If you wondered why they're always comparing January 6 to 9/11, there's your answer. They're using the same tactics. And a lot of us missed this the first time around. We didn’t see the obvious. If you empower the government to violate civil liberties in pursuit of a foreign terror organization, and there are foreign terror organizations, it’s just a matter of time before ambitious politicians use those same mechanisms to suppress political dissent. That’s what we’re seeing now. We should have seen it earlier.

Trevor Aaronson's book "The Terror Factory" analyzed every terrorism prosecution from 2001 to 2013. Aaronson found that at least 50 defendants were on trial because of behavior that the FBI had not only encouraged, but enabled. FBI agents were essentially the plotters in these crimes. They made the crimes, crimes.

TUCKER CARLSON: DEMOCRATS ARE WAGING A NEW WAR, AGAINST YOU

In 2012, a writer for The Nation called Petra Bartosiewicz found that FBI informants had quote,

"Crossed the line from merely observing potential criminal behavior, which is allowed and good, to encouraging and assisting people to participate in plots that are largely scripted by the FBI itself."

And we checked. We looked carefully, and that’s not an exaggeration. One of those plots was an Islamic terrorist attack in 2015 in Garland Texas. It turns out the FBI played an active role in that shooting.

ANDERSON COOPER: The FBI was much closer to the Garland attack than anyone realized. Anderson Cooper: After the trial, you discovered that the government knew a lot more about the Garland attack than they had let on?

DAN MAYNARD: That’s right. Yeah. After the trial we found out that they had had an undercover agent who had been texting with (Elton) Simpson, less than three weeks before the attack, to him "Tear up Texas." Which to me was an encouragement to Simpson.

ANDERSON COOPER: The man he’s talking about was a special agent of the FBI, working undercover posing as an Islamic radical.

So they’re doing that to Islamic radicals, what are they doing to American citizens? That should worry you. In a moment of uncharacteristic honesty, a former FBI Assistant Director called Frank Figliuzzi explained on MSNBC. The goal is to round up political dissenters and throw them in solitary -- including members of Congress.

FIGLIUZZI: What have we learned from our experience with international terrorism? In order to address that problem, arresting low-level operatives is merely a speed bump, not a roadblock. In order to really tackle terrorism, this time domestically, you've got to attack and dismantle the command and control element of a terrorist group…That may mean people sitting in Congress right now.

Round up duly-elected democratic members of Congress because they oppose the machine? Even Vladimir Putin’s not doing that. And a former Assistant Director of the FBI called for it on television, and no one noticed.

Why not round up the FBI operatives who were rioting on January 6? Why not identify the guy who killed Ashli Babbit? This is crazy, and we should resist it.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has signed a law prohibiting the government from closing places of worship.

Abbott signed HB1239 into law on Tuesday, saying that “the First Amendment right to freedom of religion shall never be infringed.”

“I just signed a law that prohibits any government agency or public official from issuing an order that closes places of worship,” Abbott tweeted. “The First Amendment right to freedom of religion shall never be infringed.”

The bill bans “any elected or appointed officer, employee, or agent of the state” from closing a “building or grounds where religious activities are conducted.”

Fox News reports that Texas state Rep. Scott Sanford, who filed the bill, said “churches provide essential spiritual, mental and physical support in a time of crisis.”

“Closing churches not only eliminated these critical ministries and services, but it violated their religious freedom, guaranteed by our laws and Constitution,” he added.

Biden sets up white supremacist ‘snitch line’…
Posted by Kane on June 16, 2021 3:58 pm

Joe Biden’s administration announced their plans to create ways for Americans to report radicalized friends and family to the government, in an effort to fight domestic terrorism. In a conversation with reporters, one senior administration official explained the importance of stopping politically fueled violence before it starts.

“This involves creating contexts in which those who are family members or friends or co-workers know that there are pathways and avenues to raise concerns and seek help for those who they have perceived to be radicalizing and potentially radicalizing towards violence.”

“Any particular tech company often knows its own platform very well. But the government sees things — actually, threats of violence — across platforms. They see the relationship between online recruitment, radicalization, and violence in the physical world.”

“This is a strategy that is agnostic as to political ideology or off the spectrum. What matters is when individuals take their political or other grievances and turn that — unacceptably, unlawfully — into violent action.”

“We are investing many agencies of the government and resourcing them appropriately and asking our citizens to participate. Because, ultimately, this is really about homeland security being a responsibility of each citizen of our country to help us achieve.”

The Type of Justice AG Garland Wants Is Not What Americans Want – Americans Want Freedom and Have Died to Give It to Others

By Joe Hoft
Published June 16, 2021 at 5:12pm
IMG_2058.jpg

Attorney-General Garland spoke last Friday and only spent 50 seconds on election fraud – the biggest issue in the States and related to the biggest steal in US history – the 2020 Election… 50 seconds of a 21-minute speech!

During his entire 21 minute speech, AG Garland only spent 50 seconds on election fraud. He spent 5 seconds to say “if” fraud is found, they will vigorously prosecute. But the next 45 seconds he dismisses all current election fraud claims. He says:
They have been refuted by intel agencies, law enforcement, both administrations, and every Federal & State court that reviewed them.”
If this is truly what Garland believes then his staff has shielded him from facts, he is corrupt, or both. According to NMSU Law Professor David Clements, of the 55 GOP plaintiff-led cases only 11 were heard on the merits. And in 9 of these, the GOP plaintiffs prevailed.

In his Friday speech, Garland mentions he assigned his “Associate Attorney General” to enforce Presidential Executive Order 14019. Garland avoids her using her name, Vanita Gupta, third in command at DOJ. She has associations with “extreme leftist groups,” along with defunding the police comments. She’s part of Biden’s dark money network intent on bringing the radical left’s culture war to the DOJ. Her Senate confirmation cleared by only 1 vote (Murkowski). Nearly 100 conservative leaders participated in ads and letters to prevent her confirmation. The 14019 order mandates agency heads to increase voter registration and vote by mail. It tasks the EAC, GSA, OMB, DOJ, Dept. of State, Federal Prisons, US Post Office, and so on with ways to increase voting for Democrat factions.

Garland’s speech lays out his Federal efforts will. It’s a communist’s dream:
  1. Find Civil Rights violations in the new voting laws passed by 14 States
  2. Bring back DOJ’s power and preclearance oversight
  3. Increase voter registration
  4. Increase the number of voters
  5. Obstruct or restrict the ability to clean up voter roles
  6. Control and restrict the ability to audit elections
  7. Use numerous Fed agencies to control election disinformation
In his speech Garland desperately wants the John Lewis Voting Rights Act passed by Congress. In this Act, certain states and local governments would need to pre-clear changes to their voting laws with the DOJ.

The Act is written to avoid any Supreme Court concerns mentioned in 2103 (Shelby County v. Holder) when this practice was ruled unconstitutional. The court said discrimination in voting is no longer a problem like it was 40 years ago. Garland doesn’t see it that way. He disagrees with this decision and wants that power back for the DOJ.

In the JLVR Act, when a jurisdiction reaches a certain number of violations, sometimes as little as 3 in the past 25 years, they fall under DOJ supervision. The Act expands beyond 14th and 15th amendment violations. It allows numerous other violations to count towards the threshold. One includes any discrimination of voting based on “language minority groups”. This strategy, and Garland’s doubling of the lawyers in the Voting Rights division, can rapidly increase the number of these violations against targeted States. It would quickly put that State under the thumb of the DOJ.

Throughout the speech, Garland spins the history and problem of whiteness with voting. He references the 1871 KKK Act several times and their prosecution of whites by the DOJ. He says whites now have shorter election lines, they gerrymander districts to include only whites, and so on. Below are the cases in the order Garland mentions them in his speech.

1980 – Brief filed in City of Rome (Georgia) v. the United States (Garlands first Fed job)
1975 – Extension of 1965 Voting Rights Act, including pre-clearance provision
1982 – Reauthorization of 1965 Voting Rights Act
1788 – Constitution ratified – States limited voting rights to white men
1870 – 15th Amendment
1919 – 19th Amendment
1964 – 24th Amendment (Poll taxes)
1971 – 26th Amendment (18 years and older can vote)
1866 – John Bingham Reconstruction Amendment
1870 – DOJ created – Headed by Amos Ackerman, sought to protect black voting rights
1871 – Congress enacted the KKK Act. Prohibited interference with the right to vote.

Garland Points out DOJ prosecuted hundreds of whites, KKK members
1866 – Supreme Court undercut DOJ enforcement, said KKK Act exceed Congress powers
1950’s – DOJ renewed efforts to protect the right to vote
1950’s – Supreme Court reestablished judicial oversight of the political process
1957 – Congress enacts Civil Rights Act – Creates Civil Rights Division
1960 – United States vs Lind – First case against County Registrar
1966 – South Carolina vs Katzenback (Supreme Court, preclearance was OK)
1960 – Gomillion vs Lightfoot (Invalidated gerrymandering)
1964 – Reynolds vs Sims (One person, one vote principal)
1965 – Voting Rights Act enacted 1965
1970 – Voting Rights Act Reauthorized by Nixon
1975 – Voting Rights Act Reauthorized by Ford
1982 – Voting Rights Act Reauthorized by Reagan
2006 – Voting Rights Act Reauthorized by Bush
1965-2006 – DOJ objected to over 1,000 voting law changes
Since 2006, Garland says voting laws have drastically weakened
2013 – Shelby County v. Holder – Garlands says State preclearance needed
1961 – AG Marshall, Voter Civil Rights (Kennedy required more lawyers to go after counties)

14 States have passed new laws regarding voting but Garlands says they make it harder to vote.
Some States are using abnormal post-election audit policies (AZ) according to Garland.

AG Garland wants his justice, not American justice. He is attacking acts he doesn’t like.

Unfortunately, many of these acts, like the 2020 election audits, were corrupted to get people like him in office.

Mao’s Cultural Revolution Has Arrived in America

Chris Talgo
Chris Talgo

June 16, 2021 Updated: June 16, 2021

Commentary
From 1966 to 1976, Chinese society suffered under what we now call the Cultural Revolution.

The Cultural Revolution, previously known as the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution, was a multifaceted affair undergirded by a vicious, fanatical campaign to destroy the “Four Olds.”

In 1971, The New York Times described the campaign thusly:

“One of the early objectives of the Cultural Revolution in China … was to wipe out the ‘four olds’—old things, old ideas, old customs, and old habits.

“The ‘four olds’ had already suffered setbacks in the years of Communist rule preceding the Cultural Revolution, but the Maoist leadership tried to use the new revolutionary upsurge launched in 1966 to eliminate them completely.

“In the turbulent years from 1966 to 1968, what remained of old religious practices, old superstitions, old festivals, old social practices such as traditional weddings and funerals, and old ways of dress were violently attacked and suppressed. Visual evidences of old things were destroyed, and there was an orgy of burning of old books and smashing of old art objects.”

Tragically, it seems as if the United States is in the midst of its own Cultural Revolution.

Like the Chinese Cultural Revolution, the current “revolution” in the United States is being waged by the youth—at the behest of radical leftists, of course.

Also, much like the Chinese Cultural Revolution of the 1960s, “Woke Revolution” in the United States is hellbent on destroying any and all vestiges of traditional society, especially those that celebrate freedom, individualism, and American exceptionalism, in general.

In China during the Cultural Revolution, as The New York Times describes, the “four olds”—old things, old ideas, old customs, and old habits—had to be eliminated.

In the United States during the Woke Revolution, we’re following the same path.

Old things, such as fossil fuels, the Founding Fathers, and the Electoral College must go.

Old ideas, such as equality of opportunity and meritocracy, are now moot.

Old customs, such as standing for the National Anthem and vigorously defending one’s right to freedom of speech, are long gone.

And, old habits, such as the Protestant work ethic and rugged individualism, have been seriously undermined.

In place of these “old” aspects of our culture, the Woke Revolution desires to turn our society on its head.
The Woke Revolution, like the Cultural Revolution, is predicated on Marxist ideology.

Individualism is being replaced with communalism. Equity, better known as equality of outcome, now trumps equality of opportunity.

Sadly, even Martin Luther King Jr.’s “dream” of a color-blind society has given way to critical race theory, which is the epitome of racism.

And, above all else, class warfare reigns supreme. Rich versus poor. Privileged versus oppressed.
No longer is the United States the land of opportunity. Henceforth, it shall be known as the land of oppression. Or so we’re told.

Perhaps most disconcerting when one compares the Cultural Revolution to the contemporary United States is the disdain for the past.

In China, this manifested in mass book burnings and wanton destruction of historic monuments. That sounds a lot like what’s been happening in the United States recently.

The parallels between China’s Cultural Revolution and the United States’s Woke Revolution are becoming closer by the day.

As The New York Times article chronicling China’s Cultural Revolution concluded: “A new generation has appeared, and though much of the old China is too indelible to erase as yet, a new China with ways quite different from the old is in existence.”

The same could be said about the United States in 2021.

Joe Biden is Silently Making Terrifying Moves and No One is Talking About Them

by S. Bennett McKinley
June 16, 2021

Joe Biden, Attorney general, Merrick Garland, scary, terrifying,

Charlotte, NC — There’s no denying Joe Biden’s legislative policies will have a lasting and detrimental impact on the country and already have in certain cases. For example, our nation has already started experiencing inflation caused by the coronavirus relief bill.

The real power within our system lies with the bureaucracy. A determined group of bureaucrats can make regulations, target their political enemies with state power, and will often enact massive societal change without ever knowing their names.

In infinite wisdom of our Founders didn’t intend to for this type of corrupt system to become a standard-bearer, but yet it’s here as Democrats are oft ready to take advantage of it. Many call this the “deep state” and view them as being capable of much during former president Donald Trump’s presidency. However, Biden is trying to increase this truly terrifying effort.

1623885300389.png

Domestic terrorism seems to be whatever the hell the Left’s ideologues want it to be at their whim. After Biden and others hire hundreds of alleged analysts from biased organizations and thing-tanks as well as activist groups seeking to blame Republicans for all of it.

Don’t believe me? Take a look at Attorney General Merrick Garland’s comments in the tweeted video below:

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1404828495818235908
.36 min

White supremacy is and always has been abhorrent behavior. However, the evidence of it being rampant to the point of being called terrorism is weak. There’s no evidence that it represents a top domestic threat the Left says it does. These attacks are rare when you actually use the real definition of the phrase. Sadly, this is entirely the Left’s point.

Statistics can be made to say anything as every random racial slur can be used to back a narrative. If there really was an increase of white supremacist killings going on, don’t you think the biased news media that drools over these kinds of stories, would actually report on them?

Don’t you find it odd that we know the names of MS-13, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and Hamas but we don’t know the names of these white terrorist groups that are more dangerous according to President Biden than these other ones?

The truth is that such attacks are nearly nonexistent outside of high-profile mass shootings over the past decades that stand on their own as being equally awful and horrific. When white supremacist violence occurs, they are abhorrent and grotesque. Sadly, the Biden administration claiming it’s a constant and prolific violence is one of delusion.

Pushing the lie of white supremacy attacks forward turns a cold shoulder to gang violence that takes thousands of more lives each year. How is this not the greatest domestic threat we face? Should this not also be considered ‘terrorism’ when the goal of inner-city gangs is the control their neighborhoods and terrorize the residents within them? Nearly two dozen people were killed last summer during the Black Lives Matter insurrections. How is that ideology not being targeted, too?

Lives lost are lives lost regardless who loses a child. Why are we spending $100 million to combat ‘extremism’ when other causes of violence are far great a threat to the average American? None of this makes sense until you realize it’s all political.

White supremacy is a two-word catchall to target those who are political adversaries of the Left. The definition keeps expanding and, when mixed with dangerous, racist, and repugnant ideologies like Critical Race Theory, suddenly every white Republican is a white supremacist by birth worthy of crack down on.

According to Outkick’s Bobby Burack, Jemele Hill recently called Democratic Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) a white supremacist. For those of you who don’t know who Jemele Hill is, she is one of the country’s promoted voices. Jemele only sees skin color. In Hill’s eyes, you are white or you are black. Nothing else. End of story.

1623885384325.png

Got all that? Per Hill, Manchin is a “white supremacist,” a “clown,” and a “white dude.” In other words, Manchin is a white male who doesn’t obey the rules. Damn him. Jemele Hill and Democrats cite “diversity” as the motive for their social activism. In reality, their motive is to eliminate diversity of thought. Manchin thinks differently, thus he’s an in-house threat.

Sadly, Hill follows a playbook that reads simply: If you don’t like what a white person does or says, call them racist.

We have a list of significant problems within our country and the list grows longer by the day. We shouldn’t stop trying to dismantle agencies that seek to divide our country into an us vs. them landscape from top to bottom. The next time a Republican becomes president, sweeping reform must take place.

85% Of Democrats Believe CRT Is ‘Good For America,’ Poll Finds
Signs are seen on a bench during a rally against critical race theory (CRT) being taught in schools at the Loudoun County Government center in Leesburg, Virginia on June 12, 2021. - Are you ready to take back our schools? Republican activist Patti Menders shouted at a rally opposing anti-racism teaching that critics like her say trains white children to see themselves as oppressors. Yes!, answered in unison the hundreds of demonstrators gathered this weekend near Washington to fight against critical race theory, the latest battleground of America's ongoing culture wars. The term critical race theory defines a strand of thought that appeared in American law schools in the late 1970s and which looks at racism as a system, enabled by laws and institutions, rather than at the level of individual prejudices. But critics use it as a catch-all phrase that attacks teachers' efforts to confront dark episodes in American history, including slavery and segregation, as well as to tackle racist stereotypes. A poll released Wednesday found that Democrats have a significantly more positive view of critical race theory (CRT) than both Republicans and Independents.

The poll found 86% of registered Democrats have a”favorable” or “somewhat favorable” opinion of CRT in comparison to only 6% of Republicans and 20% of Independents. The Economist/YouGov polled 1,500 U.S. adults from June 13-15 on a variety of issues with a 3% margin of error.

CRT teaches that America is fundamentally racist and to view every social interaction, institution, and person in terms of race.

1623885580637.png

The poll also found 91% of Republicans and 76% of Independents said they had an “unfavorable” or “very unfavorable” opinion of CRT. In comparison, only 9% of Democrats said the same.

The poll also found stark differences on partisan lines regarding whether CRT is “good for America.” Most Democrats (85%) said CRT is “good for America,” as opposed to 88% of Republicans and 72% of Independents who said it was “bad for America.”

Of the respondents, 21% of Democrats, 32% of Republicans and 30% of Independents said they have heard about CRT “a lot.” Across party lines, 30-35% of Republicans, Democrats and Independents said they heard “nothing at all” about CRT.

When asked “Do you have a good idea of what Critical Race Theory is?” 47% of Democrats, 63% of Republicans, and 55% of Independents answered in the affirmative. Across party lines, 22-24% of Republicans, Democrats and Independents answered that they did not have a good idea of what CRT is.

In recent months, several Republican states have increased their efforts to ban the teaching of CRT in schools. Parents have also flocked to school board meetings demanding the practice be kept away from their children.

Joe Biden's Most Terrifying Move Is One No One Is Talking About

While Joe Biden’s legislative policies will have a lasting, damaging impact on the country, and already have in some cases (inflation caused by the massive COVID “relief” bill, for example), what’s not talked about much is his impact on the bureaucracies.

After all, that’s where the real power lies in our system. Elected officials are often just weak quasi-celebrities with little ability to propagate any real change. Meanwhile, a determined group of bureaucrats can make regulations, target their political enemies with state power, and generally enact massive societal change — and you won’t even know their names.

The Founders never intended for such a corrupt system to become the country’s standard procedure, but here we are, and Democrats are keen to take advantage of it. We saw what the often-called “deep state” was capable of during the Donald Trump era. Now, Biden is looking to super-size that effort, and it should terrify you.

1623888676673.png

What is “domestic terrorism?” Well, it’s pretty much whatever a bunch of left-wing ideologues want it to be. And after Biden and his cohorts hire hundreds of new “analysts” from biased think-tanks and activist groups, what they will want it to be is Republicans of all shapes and sizes.

Take this ridiculous claim from Attorney General Merrick Garland as a primer.

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1404828495818235908

Like almost all people, I think white supremacy is abhorrent. Heck, there are a lot of white people out there I’d trade for some Cuban exiles right now if given the chance. But there is simply no evidence at all that white supremacists represent the top “domestic threat” in the country. White supremacist attacks are extremely rare when you actually use a real definition of the phrase. But that’s the point. Everything Democrats don’t like is white supremacy, and they’ve made that clear across the board.

Regardless, there is no evidence that white supremacy represents a serious threat, much less the greatest threat to Americans. While hate crime statistics can be made to say anything, with every random slur being used to back a narrative, use your eyes and ears. If there were a rash of white supremacist killings going on, don’t you think the news media, which drools over those kinds of stories, would be reporting on them? The truth is that such attacks are almost non-existent outside of a few high-profile mass shootings over the last decade that stand on their own as awful enough. In the end, white supremacist violence represents a tiny, tiny fraction of violent crime in the United States. To reiterate, when they do happen, they are abhorrent, but the Biden administration’s claim is one of delusion.

Gang violence, for example, takes thousands of more lives a year via violent crime. Why is that not the greatest domestic threat we face? Why is that not considered “terrorism” when the goal of inner-city gangs is the control their neighborhoods and terrorize the residents within them? We just had dozens of people die last summer during the Black Lives Matter riots. Why is that ideology not being targeted as expressly dangerous?

Regardless, semantical arguments about what qualifies as “terrorism” are irrelevant. Lives lost are lives lost and no mother who loses a child feels better about it because it was just street crime that took them. Why are we needing to spend $100 million to combat “extremism” when other causes of violence are a far, far greater threat to the average American?

None of this makes sense until you realize it’s all political. White supremacy is a catch-all to target political adversaries of the left. The definition is always expanding, and when mixed with ideologies like critical race theory, suddenly every white Republican is a white supremacist by birth worthy of cracking down on. Heck, Democrat Sen. Joe Manchin is being called one by his own colleagues.

This doesn’t stop until these agencies are dismantled from top to bottom. That has to happen the next time a Republican becomes president. But what the country can’t handle right now is another influx of rabid ideologues into a bureaucracy that already has no credibility. Whatever can be done to stop this from happening must be done.

Banning Critical Race Theory Is A Good Step, But It Doesn’t Go Far Enough

The pathology sweeping the United States has already gained a substantial foothold — one that won't be repulsed by simply creating a law to ban it.

Shannon Whitworth

By Shannon Whitworth
JUNE 16, 2021

Unfortunately, those who are trying to fight critical race theory and keep it out of our schools have missed the boat: It’s already here.

Critical race theory claims that America is “systemically racist,” and the only solution is discrimination against “whites” in order to make up for past racism against “people of color” — what is often called racial “equity.” It puts power in claiming oppression and has millions climbing over each other to assert the ultimate victimhood status.

This pathology sweeping the United States has already gained a substantial foothold — one that won’t be repulsed by simply creating a law to ban it.

In 2018, after nearly 23 years as a practicing litigator in Wisconsin, I decided to change gears and became the director of the Free Enterprise Academy at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, a part of the Milwaukee Parental Choice Program, with a student body that consists overwhelmingly of inner-city, economically disadvantaged, black children.

By consistently teaching these students how to use the tools of free enterprise to become financially independent and to build wealth, our teachers are constantly fighting the negativity and hopelessness that barrage our kids from the moment they leave the building. Sometimes it feels like trying to fight back the tide with a tennis racquet.

One course I teach is called “Business Communication.” I regularly ask what those students want to talk about, bring up controversial topics and make them open for debate. I do this to force the students to begin developing critical thinking skills and to expose them to differing points of view in an environment of inspired debate.

As a black conservative, I repeatedly tell my students that I will share my opinion, but they are not required to accept those opinions, and they are free to argue with me on any point I’ve made. Over this past semester, we have addressed myriad social issues, and for the most part, the discussions have been respectful and reasonably well-thought-out, until just the other week when I raised critical race theory.

Although mostly unfamiliar with the term critical race theory, most students in the class appeared very familiar with the concept. I could feel the energy in the room change as the emotional walls began to rise. As I began to explain the concept of critical race theory, I could begin to feel the group take sides.

You can imagine the look of incredulity on my white student’s face as I explained to her that under critical race theory, she is my oppressor. Conversely, I could see a handful of my black students dig in and repeatedly insist that systemic and institutionalized racism are as pervasive in this society as they ever were.

When I asked for evidence of the current systematic or institutionalized racism that allegedly exists in this country, I met anecdotes and dodgy research found on the internet. Moreover, I was disappointed by the unwillingness to continue thinking critically when challenged, as there was this sense that we should all just accept this concept as fact and any further questioning made me a useful idiot for the white man. As a black conservative, I know the look well.

What gave me heart, however, were the quieter students in the class who began asking questions. As I tried to answer as objectively as I could, I noticed some students begin to disavow the narrative that is drilled into their heads the moment they leave our walls.

I do not expect to convince any of them, at least not immediately, but they’re thinking. For the political left, black people thinking for themselves is an extremely dangerous thing.

One student asked me why I thought critical race theory was being pushed into our social fabric. I explained that in my opinion there are people who derive political power from people of color by convincing them that there is ominous racism in the miasma that they need to fight against.

Also, as racism recedes in this country, the enemy they need to fight to stay in power necessarily becomes more caricatured and hyperbolic. That puts us where we are now, with racism nearly tantamount to Original Sin. I also explained that, as an attorney for so long, I know I have won when my adversary can only respond with insults and curse words because they have nothing else.

For all our sakes, I hope and pray these students will grow to see the rank manipulation of critical race theory for exactly what it is, dare to reject it, and free our nation’s consciousness from its insidious grip.

Ed Litton, Woke fanatics seize control of Southern Baptist Convention

Published on : June 16, 2021 Published by : Capstone Report

false-98375_1920.jpg

Conservatives defeated as denomination elects Ed Litton Ed Litton called Critical Race Theory a hoax.

While America tosses off the shackles of the new racism of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality, the Southern Baptist Convention elected Ed Litton who claims CRT is a hoax. Ed Litton was elected by Southern Baptists during the Annual Meeting in Nashville. It is a dark day for the SBC and America. The Woke fanatics are now in undisputed control of what was America’s conservative denomination. This is the second consecutive election of a radical.

Turnout was high with 15,678 registered messengers. This is up sharply from the 9,632 messengers who turned out in Dallas, Texas during the last SBC Presidential election. In that race, J.D. Greear defeated Ken Hemphill and inaugurated the SBC’s Leftward Drift.

That drift is now a sprint. Three years of trustee appointments were made by the Woke J.D. Greear. Now, at least one if not two more years of appointments will be made by the even more radical Ed Litton.

There can be little doubt that our point is right: Ed Litton is Woke and will destroy the Southern Baptist Convention as a home for conservatives.

One reason is that he is in violation of the Baptist Faith and Message. He co-preachers sermons with his wife.

As Al Mohler said, one cannot separate the function from the office. According to Dr. Mohler, “I believe that consistency with the Baptist Faith & Message means that someone who is understood to be ‘preaching’ and fulfilling that preaching task on Sunday morning where … someone holding the teaching office would be fulfilling that task … I think it would violate the Baptist Faith & Message in letter and in spirit for a woman to do that.”

Well, Ed Litton and his wife were doing that together. It was not a woman speaking—she admitted on tape that it was a sermon.

1623889747889.png

But as the rise of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality showed, the SBC cares little for what the Bible or its confession of faith state. Pragmatism and pleasing secular elites are now the order of the day. This is the legacy of lifelong Democrat Russell Moore. It will linger for many years.

On to Anaheim for Conservative Southern Baptists?
The Conservative Baptist Network appears set to push forward toward a continued resistance against the Woke Southern Baptist Convention.

Rod Martin said on Twitter, “Tough beat. But it’s the work of a single year. We fought the entire denominational machine, plus all their MSM friends. We didn’t win. But this result shows we can. @BaptistNetwork @PastorMikeStone .”

1623889669247.png

Motivating this drive among conservative Southern Baptists is an attachment to the legacy of the SBC. These men feel it would be wrong to abandon what generations of Southern Baptists built.

The ship might be taking on water, sinking and filled with rotting wood—but it was once a good ship and they believe the effort to salvage it worthwhile.

And, perhaps it is.

Though, one is forced to come to face with the reality of the modern world—denominations no longer matter. Or, at least, no longer matter as they once did.

As Dr. Robert Jeffress pointed out in 2019, most Southern Baptists are indifferent to what the SBC does.

People no longer care about denominations. According to Dr. Jeffress, all religion is local.

He told Todd Starnes in 2019, “They don’t pay any attention to it. I think we are living in a post-denominational age, and I think whether it is Southern Baptist or any other mainline denominations, I don’t think people relate any more to large masses of ecclesiastical bureaucracies. I think it is kind of like Tip O’Neil said one time, ‘All politics are local,’ and I think that is true about the church as well. I know our members are concerned about First Baptist Church Dallas and what we are doing to change the world for the better by introducing people to faith in Christ and I don’t know anybody under the age of 70 who cares about what is happening in the denomination.”

If this is indeed the case, conservatives should expect it harder to mobilize turnout at future Southern Baptist Conventions. Trends combined with the next convention sites favor establishment over grassroots conservative candidates.

Also, Critical Race Theory as both a national and internal issue may not have the motivating benefit in two years as it has today. If the perils of racial identity politics could not summon the SBC pastors to do their duty, what can?

I have a few ideas as to what must be done to achieve those goals. However, the question conservatives must ask themselves—is it worth it?

Certainly, the Woke and their Democratic Party enablers desire the SBC for its political value. They know how it can be used to suppress the turnout of conservative evangelical voters. In other words, the Woke takeover of the SBC was and is a net win for the Democrat Party and harms the Republican Party.

This is important. However, is it as important as it was in 1980? 1990? 2000? Or, even, 2020?

It might be time for conservatives to remember the caution of Bismarck, “Woe to the leader whose arguments at the end of a war are not as plausible as they were at the beginning.”

Or, Cardinal Richelieu’s dictum that methods must correspond to goals.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but will the expense of retaking the Southern Baptist Convention from Woke radicals be worth it?

More reflections and lots of commentary to come on the Battle of Nashville.

WATCH: Dinesh D'Souza reveals how Critical Race Theory distorts history, omits 'inconvenient facts' about Democrats

Conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza revealed the truth behind why Democrats are pushing critical race theory in American classrooms.

Rumble video 4:40 min

D'Souza, filmmaker and author of numerous bestselling books, explains on Rumble why critical race theory is the "great lie" and how it "distorts history."

Left-wing economist Robert Reich, the former Secretary of Labor under the Clinton administration, uploaded a video lambasting state laws that prohibit critical race theory in public education. "Robert Reich comes to the defense of Critical Race Theory because he wants to hide the fact that the racial atrocities of American history were all perpetrated by Democrats," quips D'Souza.

1:05 min

"The so-called 'party of free speech' is now trying to ban educators from teaching about the anguished role racism has played in the shaping of America. We can't stand for it," Reich says in the one-minute clip posted on social media.

D'Souza deconstructs Reich's flawed argument that claims that educators are being prevented from teaching "anguishing truths about race." D'Souza defines critical race theory as ideological spin on the current race debate.

In the video, Reich, the co-founder of Inequality Media, accuses the GOP of attacking "academic freedom," referring to the Republican-controlled states that have passed or are preparing to pass bills "that ban teaching the role race has placed in the history of American politics, policy, and law."

He claims that conservatives lob the term "critical race theory" against "the nation's tragic racial history" that Republicans "don't want students to know," calling it "indoctrination" or "brain washing."

Reich argues that as an educator and public policy professor at the University of California, Berkeley, the real indoctrination is leaving out America's racial history and "only teaching children the myths that we've always been a perfect country, always lived up to our ideals, and there's no need to reckon with our past."

"That's dangerous. Unless our children know all of our history, including the anguished role racism has played in its shaping this country, they can't possibly understand why we are where we are today and what we can do to better live up to our deals. The stories we tell to ourselves matter. And it's about time we start telling the truth," Reich concludes in the video produced by Inequality Media.

D'Souza points out that what Reich wants is an educational system that "leaves out inconvenient facts that his side does not want to be amplified."

He then outlines the facts. First, slavery was promoted by the Democratic Party. In 1860, the year before the Civil War and considered the zenith of American slavery, almost all the 4 million slaves in America were owned by Democrats. "This is not taught and Robert Reich wants to make sure it stays that way," D'Souza says.

Second, the liberal scholar doesn't want to teach that every segregation law in the South, without exception, was passed by Democratic legislature, signed by a Democratic governor, enforced by Democratic officials, D'Souza continues.

Critical race theory also omits the fact that in America, between 1830 and 1860, there were about 3,500 black slave owners—African American plantation owners who owned an approximate 10,000 black slaves, D'Souza points out.

D'Souza observes that critical race theory advocates don't emphasize the disruptive fact because it "removes the race factor," demonstrating that slavery was human exploitation committed by white and black Americans alike.

The historical facts are indisputable yet are not taught to young Americans today, D'Souza states. Critical race theory makes no mention because its proponents "realize how incendiary it would be to mention it."

D'Souza then pivots to touch upon the Democratic Party's role in creating the Ku Klux Klan and when Republicans shut down the white supremacist hate group.

In the early 20th century, progressive Democratic President Woodrow Wilson revived the Ku Klux Klan, which was confined before to certain states in the South and then began to spread nationwide. D'Souza quotes historian Eric Foner who said that the Ku Klux Klan was the "military wing of the Democratic Party."

D'Souza questions where the facts he delineated were in the revisionist New York Times 1619 Project or any other critical race theory propaganda.

"The bottom line of it is that the racial atrocities of American history were perpetrated by the Democratic Party and the great lie that critical race theory wants to perpetrate is to take the crimes of the Democratic Party and to blame them on America," explains D'Souza. "America did this. America did that."

D'Souza stated that what the laws banning critical race theory in American classrooms want is to "balance presentation of American history, offering both sides, not suppressing one side, and placing blame where it's do."

"Pin the racist tail where it belongs: not on the Republican elephant, not on the American eagle, but on the Democratic donkey," D'Souza concludes.

How Long Has the FBI Been in the Terror Biz?
Jack Cashill notes reported involvement by feds in Capitol fracas is nothing new

How Long Has the FBI Been in the Terror Biz_

In light of the revelations by Revolver about the likely infiltration by the FBI of the groups involved in the events of Jan. 6 as well as the FBI’s confirmed infiltration in the ludicrous plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, it might pay to revisit the 2016 plot to bomb a Kansan mosque and apartment complex.
In the way of background, in February 2015 CNN reported on an intelligence assessment, circulated by the Department of Homeland Security.

The report argued that the domestic terror threat from “sovereign citizen groups” was “equal to – and in some cases greater than – the threat from foreign Islamic terror groups, such as ISIS.”

Later that same year, without FBI assistance, a pair of Islamic terrorists killed or seriously injured 36 people in an attack on a San Bernardino Christmas party.

Six months after that attack, in June 2016, another Islamic terrorist shot more than 100 people, killing 49 of them, at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

As the 2016 election approached, one suspects that certain elements within DHS hoped to shift media attention back to the real threat, what CNN called “right-wing sovereign citizen extremists.” The media had not yet rediscovered the “white supremacist” label. That would come in time.

Over the spring and summer of 2016, a splinter group from the Three Percenters – one of the groups involved in the events of Jan. 6 – began to contemplate a “plan” to deal with the Somalis imported to western Kansas to work in the packing plants.

A surprisingly fair December 2017 article in New York Magazine by Jessica Pressler details how the plan progressed from something that was mostly barroom BS to a bomb plot for which three men were sentenced in a federal court to prison terms of up to 30 years.

“These defendants planned to ruthlessly bomb an apartment complex and kill innocent people, simply because of who they are and how they worship,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray upon their sentencing in January 2019.

“Today, together with our law enforcement partners, we reaffirm our commitment to protecting all people in our communities from those who seek to terrorize and do harm.”

In her conversations with one of the men convicted, a predictably troubled soul named Patrick Stein, Pressler sheds some useful light on how the events played out in Kansas and how they may well have played out on Jan. 6.

In the conventional retelling of the story, the hero was one of the plotters, a fellow named Dan Day.

In an Associated Press story, tellingly headlined, “Trial begins for alleged bomb plotters who wanted more Trump voters on jury,” the reader is told, “Dan Day knew the plan would go forward and innocent people would die.”

Here the AP paraphrases prosecutor Risa Berkower who claimed that Day “struggled with what to do, prayed about what to do. And then he contacted the FBI, and later agreed to wear a wire.”

Reportedly, it was not until a hearing at the federal courthouse in Wichita that the conspirators realized it was Dan Day who set them up.

“He’s the one who fed us all the information, showed us how bad they were, doing this and that and the other,” Stein told Pressler. “He was working for the feds the entire time. It was all a setup.”

Writes Pressler, “This time, Stein’s paranoid fantasy had turned out to be at least partially true.” Day, she reports, was in fact a paid informant for the FBI. He apparently had been reporting on Stein since Stein introduced him to the other soon-to-be conspirators at a gun show in February 2016.

According to Stein, it was Day who told the group he saw ISIS recruitment fliers in a local public library and who directed their attention to an apartment complex in Garden City where Somalis live. Day lived in Garden City.

It was Day who pushed for action before Election Day 2016.

“I can’t let what could happen a year from now, or six months ago, dictate what we f—ing do now,” Day allegedly told Stein in August 2016. “I mean, you just can’t.”

It was Day who introduced the group to a supposed major arms dealer, a man Day knew to be an undercover FBI agent whose guns had been shipped to Kansas from Quantico, Virginia.

This same FBI undercover agent offered to build an ammonium nitrate bomb of the sort Timothy McVeigh used in Oklahoma City if the conspirators provided the ammonium nitrate.

On their own, writes Pressler, the three conspirators “mostly succeeded in burning the hair off [a conspirator’s] finger” when trying to build a bomb.

The plot ended prematurely when a girlfriend of one of the conspirators called the local police to report her beau’s weapons stash.

Upon learning this, the feds promptly arranged the delivery of ammonium-nitrate to the conspirators and arrested the conspirators promptly after the hand off.

In reading this account, one is reminded of McVeigh’s own amateurish attempts at bomb building in Arizona before arriving in Oklahoma City with a massive ammonium-nitrate bomb allegedly of his own making.

One has to wonder, too, if his accomplice, John Doe No. 2, was allowed to disappear.

Just how long, one wonders, has this stuff been going on?

Parents Outraged After Students in Orange County Given ‘White Savior Complex’ Assignment

By Assistant Editor

Parents at Tustin Unified School District in Orange County, CA, are demanding answers after discovering their children were given a “White Savior Complex Assignment” and were administered a “Healthy Kids’ survey (which included racial questions) without parental knowledge. Emails, meetings with school administrators, and questions presented at Board meetings were met with little response and few answers.

Parents ultimately submitted a Public Records Request demanding all information and communications regarding Critical Race Theory. On June 2, 2021, parents received files from the District which only heightened concerns that Critical Race Theory was being woven into the school curriculum.

The Public Records Request revealed that a substitute teacher assigned a “White Savior Complex” assignment to high school students in English Honors aligned with their study of To Kill a Mockingbird.

Tustin Unified School District Superintendent Franklin approved the “White Savior Complex” assignment as Ethnic Studies curriculum saying, “I think it’s a good assignment in the ethnic studies course … not so sure about a high school English course.”

Although the District spokesperson stated that the District will not incorporate CRT into its curriculum, the response by Board member, Allyson Damikolas, reflects an attempt to soften language seemingly to keep parents from understanding what is really going on. “I had a comment on the ethnic studies presentation, the second bullet saying that ‘it is not aligned with CRT’ is slightly inaccurate in my opinion. I think it would be more accurate to say that it is ‘not the same as CRT’ or something like that…..The ideas that we recognize that systems are not always fair because of race, and we value diversity, is a component of CRT. It’s complicated and nuanced I admit, but that bullet in particular will be scrutinized by that opposing parent group.”

Email-part-1-913x479.jpg

Email-part-2-913x479.jpg

Opposing parent group? So any concerns parents bring to school administrators make them opponents rather than caretakers invested in their children’s well-being? That phrasing certainly suggests this school district sees it as an ‘us against them’ situation. And honestly, at this point, parents across the country feel that that is the environment schools have created.

School officials seem to view parents as an annoying barrier to their efforts to indoctrinate our children. The principal of Foothill High School, Michelle England, annoyed by the inquiries from parents stated, “(I) am about to draw some boundaries.”

Boundaries for what? To prevent parents from even asking questions about what information is being presented to their children?

Aren’t teachers and school administrators paid to serve the students and parents? Who do these people work for? Parents deserve honest answers from the school officials on what is being taught to their children.

One parent, on why he was speaking to the school board yet again states, “Tonight I find myself standing here for the sixth time in the last twelve months. Why do I keep coming back? It’s simple….I don’t trust you.”

Father Debunks Critical Race Theory In Incredible Speech: ‘How Am I Oppressed With Two Degrees?’ (VIDEO)

By The Scoop

During a full district school board meeting, a father from Illinois who broadcasts a weekend radio show slammed critical race theory. Ty Smith, a father who argues critical race theory is seriously flawed, blasted schools for teaching the divisive philosophy that has enraged and infuriated parents throughout the country.

According to Faithwire, Smith, a black man, started his address by remembering a childhood incident in which he and other children on public assistance were pushed to be the last to eat lunch in elementary school. He got very upset as a third-grader with his buddies not in his group and decided to stop speaking to them. He learned as an adult that they were not to blame for their segregation.

“I’m mad at them for something that wasn’t even their fault… they weren’t looking down on me. They didn’t think they were better than me,” Smith argued.

“I’m the one that came up with those false perceptions of what my friends were. Not them,” Smith added.

This encounter reminded Smith of critical race theory, which he thinks is “teaching kids to hate each other, how to dislike each other.”

He then went on to debunk the critical race theory ideas that white people have it better in life because they are white and that black people are oppressed because of white people, using his own personal experience as evidence that neither of these claims were accurate.

“How do I have two medical degrees if I’m sitting here oppressed?” Smith’s question drew applause from the other parents and guests at the packed gathering.

“No mom, no dad in the house. Worked my way through college, sat there and hustled my butt off to get through college,” Smith continued.

Smith slammed the argument that white people “kept him from” achieving his goals.

He said, “Not one white person ever came to me and said ‘well, son, you know you’ll never be able to get anywhere because the black people.'”

The Illinois parent stressed how today’s black youth are taught that they will not be successful because “the white man is going to keep you down.”

Smith states that no white person has ever oppressed him, and that critical race theory is a “lie” that contradicts Martin Luther King’s instructions to evaluate individuals based on their character rather than their skin color or ethnicity.

Parents throughout the United States are becoming more worried about how critical race theory is taught to children in different educational institutions.
According to Forbes, Florida has become the sixth state to ban schools from teaching critical race theory to the state’s 2.8 million public school students.

The Florida Education Association, the state’s teachers organization, campaigned against the prohibition on critical race theory, instead advocating for a plan that would “reflect a more diverse America than are represented in our founding documents,” but their proposal was rejected. Arkansas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Idaho are the four other states that have outlawed critical race theory in public schools.

Professor Shares HS Student’s Letter On Impact Of CRT Exposure: Felt ‘Like Scum Undeserving Of Living’

By Ryan Saavedra

A black professor at Columbia University shared a letter on Wednesday evening from a high school student who described the psychological impacts of being exposed to Critical Race Theory, a Marxist ideology that is also widely criticized by many as being racist, in school.

The student wrote the letter to English teacher Dana Stangel-Plowe, who resigned earlier this month from Dwight-Englewood School after the school allegedly began injecting Critical Race Theory into the school.

“A student at the Dwight-Englewood school (which all parents should be ditching) has written in support of the whistleblowing resignation by @dstangelplowe,” Columbia Professor John McWhorter wrote on Twitter. “And the student notes he is hardly alone.”

McWhorter shared the letter from the unidentified student who described feeling “like horse s**t” after being exposed to the extreme ideology and said that he felt “like worthless scum undeserving of living.”

The letter stated:
Dear Mrs. Stangel-Plowe,

I truly hope you do read this email, but I understand if you are too busy to. I am extremely grateful that you were my teacher this year, and for the ideas you finally brought to light recently. I hope you realize how big of an impact you made on our community. Unfortunately, all of what you said is true; I know many students that are scared to speak out on their opinions in fear. I have reluctantly prohibited myself from saying certain things in class also in fear of sounding politically incorrect. I see the negative effects of this toxic community in my fellow students and faculty every day.

Namely, my eighth grade English teacher taught us for the first two weeks about pretty much how awful white men are. For two weeks, I did not speak a single word in her class. My fellow white male classmates left the classroom every time feeling the same way. For lack of a better word, those teachings made me feel like horse shit, like worthless scum undeserving of living.

Later during that year, in my history class, my white classmates were constantly using the pronoun “we” when talking about slavery.

Eventually, I had to raise my hand and remind them: that “we” were not and are not a part of these despicable acts. Most of our parents were refugees from foreign countries, whose ancestors were also oppressed and persecuted. This year, I have battled with countless generalizing and oppression towards white men. There are girls, whom I am friends with, that genuinely believe that all men are misogynistic. I see movements on social media like #KAM which stands for “Kill all men”; people don’t realize how strongly that affects boys in an extremely negative way.

Even now, I am struggling and frightened to fully express my opinion to my girlfriend, who believes that most white men are oppressive beings.

Everyone is talking about your letter, many many students including myself are extremely grateful for what you’ve done. My friends and classmates feel much more comfortable expressing their voices and many minds are changing. So I am once again thanking you for trying to improve our school. I wish I could put into words the extent to which I admire and thank you. I wish I could describe to you the good that you have done. I aspire to be as brave as you some day.
With endless amounts of love and respect,

-Your former D-E student.
McWhorter encouraged “truly anti-racist” parents to pull their children out of Dwight-Englewood School over the extreme ideologies allegedly being taught in the school.

“Truly antiracist parents, in the name of love of their kids, should pull them from the Dwight-Englewood school as of next fall,” he wrote on Twitter. “Only this will arrest these misguided Elect parishioners from their quest to forge a new reality for us all.”

[COMMENT: If this is an outgrowth of the seeds planted by Confucius Institutes affiliated with colleges, it can be seen as part of the CCP assault on the US with a cultural revolution. This would include biowarfare with COVID, election hacking, buying of the Biden crime family, the southern border invasion and the economic warfare that is materializing to knock the dollar off as the world's reserve currency.]

Critical Race Theory In America’s Classrooms
JUNE 17, 2021

By: Clare Lopez | CCNS
This is Part 3 of a multi-part series on the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in America’s schools. While earlier articles explained how the ideological foundations of CRT are rooted in Marxism and were promulgated by Marxist intellectuals operating out of the leftist faculty lounges of American academia, today’s essay will delve into some of the specific elements of CRT curricula now to be found within Ethnic Studies programs across the country.

California: Incubator of CRT in America
As described in this author’s May 7, 2021 article, “Critical Race Theory in America’s Classrooms”, the incubator for many of these educational concepts was California. There, the State School Board and legislature have wrestled with the development of a so-called “Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum” (ESMC) for years. The essential purpose of that curriculum is to inculcate California students with a divisive, racist view of American society based on oppositional distinctions drawn among various ethnic groups: African Americans, Asian Americans, Latino-Chicano Americans, Native Americans, and Caucasians/whites. Coursework, class lectures, PowerPoints, and textbooks already in use set all the other ethnic/racial groups against whites. This is classic Marxist, Saul Alinsky-style propaganda whose ultimate objective is a violent revolution based on an uprising of the “oppressed” vs the “oppressors”. Spread now throughout the U.S. school system, such indoctrination already is yielding the results methodically instigated by enemies of the state who seek a communist revolution in this country.

Let’s look at some of the specifics: how traditional academic rigor is systematically being dismantled and what are some of the elements of the CRT and Ethnic Studies curricula currently in use in American classrooms.

CRT In Schools Around the Country
What is happening at the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Alexandria, Virginia is illustrative. A magnet school founded in 1985 as a place for gifted students, “TJ” as it’s called ranked #1 in the country for 2021 according to U.S. News and World Report. Criteria for those rankings include “performance on state-required tests, graduation, and how well they prepare students for college”. The school also boasted a 99.8% graduation rate, as of September 2020.

But no longer. After a unanimous vote by all twelve Fairfax County school board members, TJ will no longer admit students based on academic achievement and a tough entrance exam. It seems that some 70% of the student body at TJ in the 2020 school year were Asians. This has now been deemed unacceptable by the Fairfax County Schools system because competition with such highly gifted students – who typically score in the top 2 percent of high school students nationwide with average IQ levels ranging from about 120-160 – was just not fair to lower-achieving students of other ethnic backgrounds. Admissions tests will henceforth be scrapped in favor of a lottery draw from among students who post at least a 3.5 GPA. The objective is not to continue TJ’s record for academic excellence but to draw in more students of African American and Hispanic backgrounds, even if their scholastic performance doesn’t match up to that of their Asian counterparts. After all, it’s the diversity of skin color that counts most now, not ensuring that America continues to produce the best and brightest engineers, inventors, and scientists in the world.

Virginia just seems bound and determined to take its education system to the bottom of the pile. In April 2021, the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) decided to eliminate accelerated math classes before the 11 grade because, well, equity. By tracking math students according to their talent and achievement, you see, those whose talents and achievement come in at a lower level than those of the most gifted, hard-working students were being left out of the more challenging math courses. The fact that some students struggle with multiplication tables while others are cruising through calculus can only be due to racism and white supremacy, according to the VDOE. And the only solution for that is to level the playing field, so everybody gets blended into a uniform, equitable kind of mediocrity.

Not to single out Virginia, the state of California has also decided that traditional math – getting the right answer to problems that are fixed in mathematical immutables – is racist and rooted in a “white supremacy culture”. To deal with this intolerable situation, the California Department of Education is considering a new “framework” for teaching math in the state, called “A Pathway to Equitable Math Instruction: Dismantling Racism in Mathematics Instruction”. Among other things, this framework asserts that demanding the correct answers to math problems is an example of “white supremacy”, and so should be avoided. The 83-page resource for teachers describes the history of mathematics as a “Western, Eurocentric way of processing and knowing information” and “reinforcing objectivity”. “Objectivity” and getting the right answer in mathematics are presented as something undesirable, that accentuates “white supremacy”, and is, therefore, to be discarded. The preferred pedagogy rather promotes something called “ethnomathematics”. “Mathematics” is spelled “mathematx”. Students are to be encouraged to “create mathematical definitions in their own words”.

Another recommended math project is to have the students create their own Tik Tok videos (never mind that the Tik Tok app is an Artificial Intelligence and data collection platform for the Chinese Communist Party). Nor should mathematics be presented as new learning that comes from the teacher, because this is called “power hoarding”. Instead, students should be allowed to jump into the lesson, willy nilly, without raising their hand. Testing for mastery of the material is obviously out because that only reinforces the “myth of meritocracy” and makes some students who perform poorly feel bad.

No, it’s not just Virginia and California, either. The Oregon Department of Education wants teachers to register for training in “ethnomathematics”, too. The objective, of course, is not to educate world-class students who can compete with the best that China, India, or Russia graduates. No, it’s to “improve equitable outcomes for Black, Latinx, and multilingual students, and join communities of practice.” In other words, it’s more important that students feel good about themselves than that they can dominate quantum computing, 5G systems, or space technology someday.

Already in 2019, administrators of the Carroll Independent School District of Southlake, TX – the top-achieving school district in TX – were subjected to a retreat where they were told if they tried to treat all students equally, regardless of skin color or ethnicity, they were displaying “white privilege”, “biases”, and “white fragility”. Simply being born white was a bad thing. They were instructed to teach through “The Lens of Equity”, which meant conducting lessons strictly through a prism of race in every single context. Being “color-blind” was characterized as a “luxury” that could no longer be tolerated. Equality was to be avoided at all costs. Equity of outcomes no matter the reality of talent or achievement is the new holy grail. Unsurprisingly, parents are pushing back.

More on that in Part 4 of this series.

In Illinois, the Adlai E. Stevenson High School (sixth-ranked in the state), hosted an “Anti-Racism and Inclusivity Week” from 29 March-1 April 2021 to teach CRT to the entire student body. The teaching of Ibram X. Kendi was featured.

Washington State Governor Jay Inslee signed Senate Bill 5044 into law on 5 May 2021. All school staff, board directors, teachers, and administrators in public schools across the state are now required to embed the teaching of CRT in their curricula, even though racial discrimination is a blatant violation of the Washington Civil Rights Act.

CRT Demeans American Greatness and Harms Students
As should be clear by now, CRT concepts and curricula are deeply harmful to America’s E Pluribus Unum-based society, especially our students. CRT isn’t configured to make sure that all students feel good, or even feel American. Far from it. The essence of CRT curricula is that America is a fundamentally evil, racist place where our entire national history is nothing but one long litany of misdeeds by a white class of “supremacists” against a permanent underdog black, Latino, non-white class. This is obviously pure Marxist class warfare, but with the overlay of race. The soaring idealism of our foundational documents – especially the Declaration of Independence – is reduced to merely the slave-owner status of its authors. The Civil War and Emancipation Proclamation that ended slavery in America, the civil rights movement of the 1960s, and all the federal legislation (including Constitutional Amendments 13, 14, and 15) to ensure legal equality of all before the rule of law, are dismissed as inconsequential. The statues are pulled down. The literary classics of Western Civilization must be burned. Taking personal responsibility, striving to reach individual full potential is “acting white”. The children are taught that they belong either to the “oppressor” class or the “oppressed” class. It’s all about their racial status and there’s nothing the “oppressed” can do about it except discriminate, hate, and rise up in violent revolution against their white classmates.

As Ibram X. Kendi wrote, “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination.

The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.” Kendi’s books are among the reading selections for K-12 classes. “Bebe Antiracista” will be out on Kindle in August 2021, along with a board edition (for little ones).

In Part 4 of this series, we will take a look at how citizen patriot parents are banding together to fight back against the Marxist indoctrination of their children. There is good news out there and it is spreading.

Joe Biden’s upcoming war on the First and Second Amendments

The Biden regime is working overtime on schemes to deprive us Americans of some of our most important God=given Natural Rights, the right of freedom of speech and our right to bear arms.

The Capitol Hill Riot on January 6th is providing the justification for an all out assault on the First Amendment by Joe Biden and the rest of the Progressives in Washington DC. That is why they have blown that one incident completely out of proportion. This NBC News article discusses the latest deeply troubling proposal
White House unveils new strategy to counter domestic terrorisme’laser-focused on violence’
The strategy and an accompanying White House fact sheet call for more scrutiny of public social media posts and better coordination among security agencies.
This entire effort would be a gross violation of the First Amendment which prevents the federal government from interfering with the free speech of all Americans.
The Biden administration’s review of its domestic counterterrorism strategy began with that intelligence assessment. The unclassified version, released in March, concluded that the two most lethal elements of U.S. domestic terrorism are racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists who advocate for the superiority of the white race and anti-government or anti-authority violent extremists, such as violent militia extremists.
Unfortunately Joe Biden and progressives consider any speech or writing that conflicts with progressive dogma to be hate speech and violence. Any individual who is from the right side of the political spectrum is considered a violent extremist. Leftists are constantly and erroneously calling those who disagree with them white supremacists. The founding principles of the United States are very much anti government and anti authority. This is an attempt to criminalize them.
The Biden strategy is based on what it calls four pillars, designed to understand, prevent, disrupt and address long-term drivers of domestic terrorism. Although it involves new government scrutiny of what Americans say on social media, officials say they have been careful to avoid any move that infringes on political speech.
Any scrutiny of what Americans say or write by the federal government is a gross violation of the First Amendment and I believe with 100 percent certainty that the Biden Regime will most definitely infringe on the political speech of those of us who are conservatives and libertarians.
“We are not targeting speech. We are not attacking speech,” Mayorkas said. “We are working with the social media companies to be able to better identify the false narratives, to be able to identify disinformation and misinformation and really educate the American public.”
I call BS on the entire statement by Mayorkas. The Frist Amendment prevents the federal government from playing any role identifying false narratives or disinformation, Progressives consider anything that conflicts with their beliefs to be false narratives or disinformation. The statement about educating the American public brings images of political reeducation camps to mind quite clearly.

This Townhall article The Largest Gun Registration and Confiscation Scheme Is Being Planned By the Biden Administration is a clear warning that the Biden Regime will attempt to use executive orders, federal regulations, and federal agencies to disarm the American people.
A new rule proposed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) at the request of President Joe Biden would make most firearms with stabilizing pistol braces illegal. Owners would have to register, turn in, or disassemble the guns to avoid federal felony charges. One government estimate found as many as 40 million guns could be affected.
“It will be the largest gun registration, destruction, and confiscation scheme in American history,” Alex Bosco, who invented the stabilizing brace and founded the biggest manufacturer of them, told The Reload.
Today’s proposed rulemaking on pistol-braced firearms represents a gross abuse of executive authority,” said Aidan Johnston, Director of Federal Affairs for Gun Owners of America, in a statement.
Bosco said the rule would outlaw the vast majority of braces on the market and read like it was “reverse-engineered to make braces illegal.” He called it “arbitrary and capricious.”
I firmly believe that any attempt by the Biden regime to disarm the American people will have very grave consequences. It is best that they do not try.

Democrats are attempting to gaslight the American people on the ongoing outrage over divisive Critical Race Theory (CRT) doctrine in government training and public school curricula.

NBC News provides the perfect example of how they're trying to rewrite history and paint anyone who might be concerned over the extremist CRT agenda making its way into every facet of government and corporate diversity training as a racist conspiracy theorist:

1623970596240.png
While the efforts vary, they share strategies of disruption, publicity and mobilization. The groups swarm school board meetings, inundate districts with time-consuming public records requests and file lawsuits and federal complaints alleging discrimination against white students.

They have become media darlings in conservative circles and made the debate over critical race theory a national issue.
NBC goes on to blame their favorite boogeyman, "Fox News," for amping up the attention on an issue the Left would have preferred to stay under the radar and in the shadows. The last thing they were expecting was for American parents to actually see the divisive and destructive direction their children were being led as they are instructed to acknowledge their "white privilege."

As children in classrooms across the nation are divided into 6-year-old "oppressors" and 6-year-old "pressed," parents are finally saying enough is enough.

Meanwhile, Terry McAuliffe, the Democratic candidate for governor in Virginia, went to a tired playbook when faced with a question about the controversy over CRT training in Virginia schools.

"That's another right-wing conspiracy," he said. "This is totally made up by Donald Trump and Glenn Youngkin. This is who they are. It's a conspiracy theory."

McAuliffe doesn't know any new tricks to deceive Virginia voters into thinking he's not a radical, social justice warrior like so many in the Democratic Party, so he's had to fall back on that Clinton-era golden oldie, "The Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy." I mean, why not? It worked so well for Hillary, right?

One big thing is getting in the way of the NBC News and Terry McAuliffe's rewriting of history here. It's a little thing called "The Truth."

NBC News's assertion that concerns over CRT are some kind of "new conservative cause célèbre" that's just being exploited by political opportunists is belied by the fact that many in the conservative commentariat have been warning about this anti-intellectual and demeaning agenda for nearly a decade.

Andrew Breitbart began work on a series of articles about CRT back in early 2012, just before his death. Writers like Alex Marlow, John Nolte, Joel Pollack, Ben Shapiro, Dana Loesch, and this author participated in exposing Prof. Henry Louis Gates's brainchild and how it influenced his favorite student at Harvard, Barack Obama.

Since then, reams of digital content have been written about CRT and its influential grasp on university campuses and in public school classrooms. To suggest that it's some newfangled political trend for angry, dispossessed conservatives is just a flat-out lie.

But, that lie doesn't hold a candle to McAuliffe and his Virginia Democrats.
For months, they've been echoing Terry's ham-handed "right-wing conspiracy theory" slander by denying that CRT had any influence or role in the curricula or the training of public school teachers.

"LCPS is not indoctrinating students using critical race theory. Critical race theory is not a part of the curriculum," said Interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler recently when faced with the uproar from parents in the Northern Virginia DC suburb.

Most corporate propagandists in the mainstream media have taken Ziegler's denials as Gospel truth and repeated his political talking point to paint concerned parents as McAuliffe's "conspiracy theorists."

"Those fragile, white Trumpers are just terrified to lose all their privilege, so they're making up lies about CRT for political weaponry," they'd claim.

1623970785277.png

The lie would've held if it weren't for a pesky bill-paying system in the Loudoun County school district.

Tuesday, an invoice was uncovered that showed that the district paid for something referenced as "Critical Race Theory Development," according to Fox News.

1623970844845.png

It's the same pattern over and over again:
  • The Left pushes a radical agenda upending basic norms of the American culture.
  • Conservatives cry foul and push back, rallying talk radio and cable news commentariat to point out the extremism and build support in opposition.
  • The media lies and claims that conservatives are "starting a culture war over a conspiracy theory."
Lather, rinse, repeat. Only this time, there are literal receipts exposing their lies. And, this time, they're messing with our children.

Woke Pentagon SEGREGATES our military for 'privilege walks'
•Jun 17, 2021

Glenn Beck

According to Senator Tom Cotton and hundreds of Pentagon whistleblowers, our military now is separating our service members into segregated groups for 'privilege walks.' The whistleblowers also warned about just how woke the Pentagon's new anti-extremism and diversity training truly is. Dividing our military like this could have DANGEROUS consequences, so Glenn begs military leaders who recognize that these recent moves are wrong NOT to leave the service. We need them now more than ever.

HUGE DEVELOPMENT: NSA Reveals in FOIA Response that the FBI Involved in “Improper Surveillance” of 16,000 Americans

By Joe Hoft
Published June 17, 2021 at 8:45pm
CIA-and-FBI-Corruption.jpg

Some Background
Throughout 2020 the Black Lives Matter terrorist group was linked to conservatively 91% of the riots that resulted in the most expensive property damage in US insurance history

There were zero Trump rallies that turned violent during that same time period.
Then on January 6, after one million Trump supporters rallied with President Trump at the Ellipse outside the White House, some 900 individuals went inside the US Capitol. Over 400 have since been arrested, including those who were waved into the US Capitol by the police standing at the exits.

Since January, the Deep State and Democrats will not release videotapes to Republican lawmakers from January 6th inside or outside the US Capitol.

Earlier this week Revolver News published an important piece on the “unindicted co-conspirators” in the Jan. 6 attack who were never charged by the DOJ or FBI for their part in the violence on Jan. 6.

The “unindicted co-conspirators” were frequently the most violent and leaders of the assault on the US Capitol. They are also likely FBI informants.

1624057880834.png

We also reported earlier this week that we have proof that the FBI was actively recruiting military members to infiltrate and spy on the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys before the Jan. 6 protests.

On March 23rd, The Gateway Pundit posted this article on former Green Beret Jeremy Brown – in this report, Brown provides evidence that he was recruited by the FBI:

Tonight we obtained a bombshell

This started this morning with our post related to Ty Clevenger and how the FBI responded to his FOIA request and basically said that they would only provide the documents Clevenger requested at a certain pace and based on Clevenger’s calculation based on the number of documents, this exercise will take decades for the FBI to provide him all the documents he requested:

1624057771609.png

After we posted this, this afternoon Clevenger received a letter from the National Security Agency (NSA). In the letter the NSA promised to provide records related to the FBI’s illegal spying on Americans:
Buckle up, kids. The National Security Agency has agreed to produce records about the FBI’s illegal snooping on 16,000 Americans, according to a letter that I received from the NSA this afternoon, and that suggests a political fight between the two agencies.

The NSA replied to the exact same request Clevenger provided to the FBI where he received the response it would take the FBI decades to respond. Below is the NSA’s letter:

clevenger-fbi.jpg

Clevenger believes there may be some friction between the FBI and NSA:
As you may recall, Admiral Mike Rogers tried to shut down FBI access to the NSA database in 2016 (while he was serving as NSA director) after learning that FBI contractors were illegally searching the database. Over at The Conservative Treehouse, Sundance has built a solid case that FBI contractors were exploiting the NSA database for opposition research on political enemies (also see here and here and here). One of the contractors with access to the NSA database, for example, appears to be Fusion GPS, which helped Christopher Steele’s produce the infamous “Russian collusion” dossier. In fact, it appears that one of the mistakes in Steele’s report, i.e., that President Trump’s personnel attorney Michael Cohen made a trip to Prague, was the result of an illegal search of the NSA database (which produced travel records for the wrong “Michael Cohen”).

Given the history of animosity between the FBI and NSA over misuse of the database, I cannot help but wonder whether the NSA is taking a shot at the FBI by preemptively producing the records that the FBI refused to produce, i.e., records of the FBI’s ongoing illegal surveillance of U.S. citizens. The FBI is downright dangerous, and perhaps some patriots at the NSA recognize that. Consider, for example, the growing evidence that the FBI not only infiltrated but helped orchestrate the January 6, 2021 “insurrection” at the U.S. Capitol…

…Speaking of FBI chicanery, read today’s post in The Gateway Pundit about the FBI’s attempts to hide documents related to the Wikileaks fiasco. And consider this recent court filing about the FBI’s ongoing attempts to hide records about murdered DNC employee Seth Rich (the FBI has gone so far as to lie to federal courts). Tucker Carlson is right about the FBI: it’s dirty, dirty, dirty, and it may be the single greatest threat to our individual liberties.
Now we know without a doubt that the FBI is spying on thousands of Americans and is infiltrating various entities in America and setting people up for crimes.

One has to wonder if there are any political hit jobs on any conservatives in the US that are not set ups by the FBI.

Trump Says Critical Race Theory In Schools Is "A Program For National Suicide"

FRIDAY, JUN 18, 2021 - 05:00 PM
Authored by Donald J. Trump via RealClearPolitics.com (emphasis ours),

As a candidate, Joe Biden’s number one promise was to “unite” America. Yet in his first months as president, his number one priority has been to divide our country by race and gender at every turn.

There is no clearer example than the Biden administration’s new effort aimed at indoctrinating America’s schoolchildren with some of the most toxic and anti-American theories ever conceived.

It is vital for Americans to understand what this initiative would do, what drives it and, most importantly, how we can stop it.

For decades, the America-blaming left has been relentlessly pushing a vision of America that casts our history, culture, traditions, and founding documents in the most negative possible light. Yet in recent years, this deeply unnatural effort has progressed from telling children that their history is evil to telling Americans that they are evil.

In classrooms across the nation, students are being subjected to a new curriculum designed to brainwash them with the ridiculous left-wing dogma known as “critical race theory.” The key fact about this twisted doctrine is that it is completely antithetical to everything that normal Americans of any color would wish to teach their children.

Instead of helping young people discover that America is the greatest, most tolerant, and most generous nation in history, it teaches them that America is systemically evil and that the hearts of our people are full of hatred and malice. Far from advancing the beautiful dream of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. -- that our children should “not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character” -- the left’s vile new theory preaches that judging people by the color of their skin is actually a good idea.

Teaching even one child these divisive messages would verge on psychological abuse. Indoctrinating generations of children with these extreme ideas is not just immoral -- it is a program for national suicide. Yet that is exactly what the Biden administration endorsed recently in a rule published in the Federal Register aimed at inflicting a critical race theory-inspired curriculum on American schoolchildren.

The rule explicitly cites the New York Times’ discredited “1619 Project” as a motivation. The Times has described the goal of its endeavor as the “re-education” of the American people, and the project even includes a lesson plan that encourages students to practice “erasing” parts of the Declaration of Independence. The Biden rule also directly cites a left-wing activist and leading proponent of critical race theory whose textbook states, “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

This is what the Biden administration wants to teach America’s children.

The Department of Education rule stems from an executive order Biden signed on his first day in office. Biden’s order abolished the President’s Advisory 1776 Commission I created to honor America’s founding principles, and reversed an executive action I took to stop these depraved theories from being imposed upon federal employees in workforce training sessions.

Thankfully, most Americans oppose this insanity. The left has only gotten away with it until this point because not enough parents have been paying attention and speaking up. But that is quickly changing. From Loudoun County, Va., to Cupertino, Calif., parents are beginning to make their voices heard against the left-wing cultural revolution. What they need now is a plan to actually stop it.
Here are the reforms that every concerned parent in America should be demanding.
  • First, every state legislature should pass a ban on taxpayer dollars going to any school district or workplace that teaches critical race theory, which inherently violates existing anti-discrimination laws. Inspired by my executive order last year, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma and other states have already taken steps to pass such laws. It needs to happen everywhere — and Congress should seek to institute a federal ban through legislation as well.
  • Second, each state should create its own 1776 Commission to examine the public school curriculum and ensure that students are receiving a patriotic, pro-American education — not being taught that the United States is an evil nation.
  • Third, parents have a right to know exactly what is being taught to their children. Last year, many parents had the chance to routinely listen in on classes for the first time because of remote learning. As students return to the classroom, states need to pass laws requiring that all lesson plans have to be made available to parents — every handout, article, and reading should be posted on an online portal that allows parents to see what their kids are being taught. Furthermore, in many places, there are rules preventing students from recording what teachers say in class. States and school boards should establish a “Right to Record.”
  • Fourth, parents need to organize locally — in every school district in America — to eliminate “Action Civics” and other versions of the effort to contort traditional civics education into a vehicle for political indoctrination. The left’s new argument is that our “divisions” stem from a lack of “civics education” — a problem they intend to “fix” with lots of new taxpayer money and a redefinition of “civics” in schools, just as they are trying to redefine the meaning of “infrastructure.” Right now, Congress is working on a $1 billion bill known as the Civics Secures Democracy Act. No Republican should trust the Biden administration with a billion dollars to spend on such programs. Even worse, the legislation threatens to establish a de facto national curriculum for history and civics, effectively bribing states into adopting the left’s anti-American curriculum. It is Common Core all over again -- but much more extreme. And like Common Core, parents must unite to stop this new federal power grab.
  • Fifth, any parent who objects to the material being taught to their child in public school should get an automatic voucher, empowering them to pick another school of their choice. The government has no right to brainwash students with controversial ideologies against their parents’ will.
  • Sixth, states need to take back control of their schools of education and credentialing bodies to ensure they are not churning out radicalized teachers. To be clear, the overwhelming majority of our nation’s teachers are some of the most selfless and wonderful people there are — but regrettably, many have graduated from extremely biased education schools and may not even be aware of the degree to which leftist ideology has permeated their curriculum. States should set up alternative credentialing bodies that can certify great teachers who know how to instill a sense of love for America. School districts can then make it a priority to hire teachers with these certifications, especially for English, history, and social studies roles. States could even set up their own versions of Teach for America to get passionate and patriotic young people into the classroom.
  • Finally, states need to break the tenure monopoly in public K-12 schools. Tenure was originally supposed to protect competent teachers from being subjected to undue political influence; it has turned into a mechanism to protect incompetent teachers who themselves wield undue political influence over our children. Educators who are alienating children from their own country should not be protected with lifelong tenure; they should be liberated to pursue a career as a political activist.
Make no mistake: The motive behind all of this left-wing lunacy is to discredit and eliminate the greatest obstacles to the fundamental transformation of America.

To succeed with their extreme agenda, radicals know they must abolish our attachment to the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and most of all, Americans’ very identity as a free, proud, and self-governing people. The left knows that if they can dissolve our national memory and identity, they can gain the total political control they crave.

A nation is only as strong as its spirit. For our children, we must act before it is too late.

Mark Levin: How the Left Is Criminalizing Opposition to American Marxism

•Jun 18, 2021

BlazeTV

How do you silence dissent in America? If you are Attorney General Merrick Garland and the Biden Administration, you enlist the media to declare the January 6th Capitol protest as an insurrection. Then, you smear the majority of law-abiding Americans with the label "white supremacist". Finally, you marshal the power of Federal Law Enforcement to hunt down your enemies. Now, it's time for a history lesson and Mark Levin has opened the school doors. As he points out, when it comes to attacks on the U.S. Capitol and the White House, the democrats have a history of their own. And the Left just might be using the Capitol Riot as a tool to grab more power.

Opinion: For Juneteenth, America needs a new flag that all of us can honor

The U.S. flag has been hijacked. It no longer represents all of us. It no longer represents democracy and freedom.

The Confederate battle flag, which was crafted as a symbol of opposition to the abolishment of slavery, is just recently tired. We don’t see it much anymore. However, on the 6th, when the stormers rained on the nation’s most precious hut, waving Old Glory — the memo was received: the American flag is its replacement.

President Biden, Madame Harris and members of Congress: the American flag has been hijacked as code for a specific belief. God bless those believers, they can have it. Like the Confederate, it is tattered, dated, divisive, and incorrect. It no longer represents democracy and freedom. It no longer represents ALL of us. It’s not fair to be forced to honor it. It’s time for a new flag.

Incorrect? Let’s look to the stars. There are 50, where there should be 52. D.C. and Puerto Rico have been lobbying for statehood for decades. Both have been denied, since statehood would allow each territory’s elected officials seats in the house.

Assuming D.C. reps would be African-American and Puerto Rican reps would be Hispanic, the ultimate assumption is that these elected officials would be Democratic. That alone is racist.

On to the stripes. The Smithsonian documents that the “white” stripes represent purity and innocence. America is great. It is beautiful. Pure, it ain’t. It is broken and in pieces.

What if the stripes were OFF-white? What if there were 52 stars to include D.C. and Puerto Rico? What if the stars were the colors of ALL of us — your skin tone and mine — like the melanin scale? The blue square represents vigilance and perseverance; and the red stripes stand for valor. America is all of those things.

So, what if those elements on the flag remained? What if the flag looked like this?

In 1959, 17-year-old Bob Heft designed the current flag for a school project when there were only 48 states. Hawaii and Alaska were up for statehood and Bob had a hunch they’d get the nod. He crafted a NEW flag with 50 stars for the then-future, because things had changed.

Sixty-two years later, in 2021, we have changed and it’s time for a reset, a transformation. One that represents all states and all of us.
