They Really Are Going After Meat

The secular-puritan nut jobs, who can't leave any joys of the world alone, are now escalating their attacks on meat and with it, virtue signaling has entered a bizarre new phase.

Epicurious
is, according to The New York Times, "the popular online recipe bank where home cooks have gone to hone their skills for a quarter of a century."

The editors there revealed to readers this week that not only were they done with new recipes containing beef, but they had been phasing them out for over a year, reports the Times.
“We know that some people might assume that this decision signals some sort of vendetta against cows — or the people who eat them,” Maggie Hoffman, a senior editor, and David Tamarkin, a former digital director, wrote in an article published on Monday.
“But this decision was not made because we hate hamburgers (we don’t!).”
The shift was “solely about sustainability, about not giving airtime to one of the world’s worst climate offenders,” they said.
“We think of this decision as not anti-beef but rather pro-planet.”
Hoffman and Tanarkin write as if they actually understand the first thing about the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient and its application in the study of climate change.

These posers are so contradictory and out of touch with reality that they have become a vegan herd.

I call for a steer's fart on all of them.

But the big question is: Will the masses be as meek against this mad movement as they have been against the lockdowns and cancel culture?
Meat producers are already wimping out.

On Sunday, JBS and Pilgrim’s Pride, one of the country’s largest chicken producers, took out a full-page ad in the New York Times headlined, “Agriculture can be a part of the climate solution,” committing to net-zero emissions by 2040, The Washington Postreports.

The Post then added this:
[T]here is a lot of research when it comes to the contribution of industrial agriculture to the greenhouse gases that are warming the planet... beef consumption, in particular, has been singled out as uniquely harmful to the planet.
In 2019, the EAT-Lancet Commission report and the special report on climate change and land by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change made strong suggestions about the need to move away from cattle ranching.

Livestock are responsible for about 14.5 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, according to the United Nations’ Food and Agriculture Organization, on a par with all of global transportation.
Ezra Klein, in a New York Times column this past Saturday, called for a “moonshot” that would turn the United States away from industrial agriculture and toward “meatless meat.”

The anti-cow fart crowd needs to be stopped now.

The Idaho House and Senate have approved legislation that would prohibit schools from compelling K-12 and higher education students to affirm or adopt the tenets of Critical Race Theory (CRT).

The bill is now on the desk of Gov. Brad Little (R), awaiting his signature.
The Idaho Senate passed HB 377 with a vote of 27-8, following a 57-12 vote in the state House.

CRT investigator and writer Christopher Rufo tweeted the news that the Idaho House had passed the bill “banning critical race theory indoctrination in the state’s public schools”:

The text of the legislation states the tenets of CRT “exacerbate and inflame divisions on the basis of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, national origin, or other criteria in ways contrary to the unity of the nation and the well-being of the state of Idaho and its citizens.”

The bill continues:
No public institution of higher education, school district, or public school, including a public charter school, shall direct or otherwise compel students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to any of the following tenets:
(i) That any sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin is inherently superior or inferior;
(ii) That individuals should be adversely treated on the basis of their sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin; or
(iii) That individuals, by virtue of sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin, are inherently responsible for actions committed in the past by other members of the same sex, race, ethnicity, religion, color, or national origin.
The legislation requires that “[n]o distinction or classification of students shall be made on account of race or color.”

Additionally, “[n]o course of instruction or unit of study directing or otherwise compelling students to personally affirm, adopt, or adhere to any of the tenets identified … shall be used or introduced in any institution of higher education, any school district, or any public school, including a public charter school.”

State Sen. Carl Crabtree (R), who sponsored the measure, said the bill “does not intend to prohibit discussion in an open and free way,” reported the Daily Mail.

“It is a preventative measure,” he added. “It does not indicate that we have a rampant problem in Idaho. But we don’t want to get one.”

“There’s no topic banned in the bill, there’s no book banned in the bill,” said Senate Education Chairman Steven Thayn (R), according to Idaho Press.

“It does not censor history, you can talk about anything in history… In fact it does not ban the teaching of critical race theory, it doesn’t ban that,” he emphasized.

“It doesn’t ban anything. What it says is that you cannot compel students to adopt or adhere” to certain principles.

Thayn said CRT “tends to undermine the thesis that each of us are responsible for our actions,” and that the legislation “just reminds us what their proper role as a teacher really is.”

Nevertheless, state Democrats said the bill violates First Amendment rights and accused Republicans of holding up education budget bills.

Sen. Janie Ward-Engelking (D) said the bill “is not needed.”

“Our universities and school districts already have procedures in place that will deal with any problem we have in curriculum,” she said.

“What’s happening is we have a group that’s put out for public release comments that our teachers are brainwashing our children with a liberal leftist indoctrination,” she added. “And that’s simply not true. And we need to call that out. If that were true … we would not be the reddest state in the nation.”
According to Idaho Press, some students protested against the bill.

“Many people seem to think that teaching our students about the cruelty and suffering of our country’s past is some form of self-hatred for our own country,” said eighth-grader Yvonne Shen, a member of the Idaho Asian American Pacific Islander Youth Alliance. “But, make no mistake, this is self-awareness.”

The Idaho Freedom Foundation, a group whose stated goal is “to implement innovative ideas to deplete the power of special interests and free people from government dependency,” has supported the idea of prohibiting schools from compelling students to affirm tenets of CRT. The group said in a statement, however, the legislation fails in that it “does nothing to protect faculty members, professors or teachers.”

The Foundation explained further:
Under House Bill 377, faculty members, teachers and professors could still be forced to undergo anti-racism or culturally responsive training if they wish to serve on search committees or even obtain or keep a job. When educators are trained to be activists, the classroom becomes inherently political and one-sided. Additionally, the bill imposes no consequences on public universities and schools that violate section 33-138 of the bill by compelling students to affirm Critical Race Theory. Such consequences could be holding back funds, recognizing a cause for unemployment, or other disciplinary action. Therefore, this bill does not provide sufficient accountability for public schools and universities.
A national parents’ organization that arose from the battle against the Common Core State Standards has called for state legislatures to ban CRT in K-12 schools.
U.S. Parents Involved in Education (USPIE) urged state lawmakers to protect students from being compelled to affirm the tenets of CRT following a proposal from the Biden Department of Education backing the development of “culturally responsive teaching” in American history and civics.

In its proposed rule, the U.S. Education Department held up the widely discredited New York Times’ “1619 Project” as a model for schools to teach children the United States is fundamentally a racist nation.

“The Biden administration’s proposal for American History and Civics Education programs is a federal bribe akin to the Race-to-the-Top grants that landed the failed Common Core Standards in nearly every state,” USPIE told Breitbart News.

“The federal grant funds combined with the Civics Secures Democracy Act of 2021 will justify advocates of these harmful programs and make it easier for state and local officials to resist parents and community efforts to block the overreach of the federal government.”

USPIE observed how CRT is already becoming embedded in education and the nation’s culture:
Unfortunately, schools across the country are already teaching CRT. Here are just a few of the wrong philosophies enveloped in CRT: racial justice is a journey and the work will never be finished; we must disrupt the current policies and practices; everyone must act, no one can opt out; racism is our country’s original sin; do not say “All Lives Matter,” that is racist; “Whiteness” as a term describes traditional characteristics of success, i.e., hard work, punctuality, correct math answers, and white fragility describes why white people can’t talk about racism.
CRT, the parents said, seeks to “make some children feel guilt and anguish — not because of anything they have done, but solely based on the color of their skin.”

“THIS is racism,” USPIE emphasized, adding that when states pass laws banning CRT and “action civics,” parents will then have grounds to demand that schools eliminate all discrimination, as well as to form a foundation for litigation, if needed.

“USPIE believes Critical Race Theory is in fact child abuse,” the group asserted. “Teaching children they are oppressors or victims based on their skin color, teaching children to judge others based on the color of their skin, teaching children they cannot succeed in America because of the color of their skin is just plain wrong.”

The Democratic Party is Now America’s Extremist Party

By J. Robert Smith

Millions of Americans know. Daily, others are coming to grips with the reality. But fear pervades the nation, so many people stay quiet. They stay quiet hoping destruction isn’t visited upon them.

Time to end the fear. Here’s the ugly fact that must be confronted: The Democratic Party is now an extremist organ waging a fierce cold civil war to seize power and eviscerate America as founded and upend and erase its exceptional culture.

The party is saturated with Marxist sensibilities, ideas, and motivations. Marxism is alien and hostile. It’s fundamentally anti-American. Its worldview, strategies, and tactics are furnished in an endless stream by radical leftist academics, who have dominated our colleges and universities for decades now.

But the Democrats' destination isn’t necessarily a Marxist state, not in its purest form. It could be corporatism or fascism or variations. Let’s hope we thwart Democrats’ aspirations so we never know.

As of the 2020 elections, Democrats have abandoned the middle ground.

They’ve been moving steadily left throughout the 2000s. The Republican and Democrat parties traditionally sought to govern from the middle, a little right or a little left. But the middle has ceased to serve the Democrats’ aims.

In fact, Democrats see themselves as engaged in a civil war with one-party rule as the goal. No? Read Democrat apologists Peter Leyden’s and Ruy Teixeira’s article, “The Great Lesson of California in America’s New Civil War.” For Leyden and Teixeira, it’s a zero-sum game. '

From Medium, January 19, 2018:
The best way to understand politics in America today is to reframe it as closer to civil war. Just the phrase “civil war” is harsh, and many people may cringe. It brings up images of guns and death, the bodies of Union and Confederate soldiers.
America today is nowhere near that level of conflict or at risk of such violence. However, America today does exhibit some of the core elements that move a society from what normally is the process of working out political differences toward the slippery slope of civil war. We’ve seen it in many societies in many previous historical eras, including what happened in the United States in 1860.
Leyden’s and Teixeira’s ideal: California, which they laud as a one-party state and a model for the nation. California, which achieved Democrat control by importing illegals, driving out middle- and working-class Californians with oppressive taxes and high costs for everything -- notably housing and energy -- and universal balloting, which is ripe for abuses and fraud. Homelessness and crime are endemic in the once Golden State.
229050_5_.png

Pick up a copy of the Communist Manifesto to understand the Democrats’ playbook. It’s a short read. What’s a critical prerequisite for Marx’s and Engel’s communist utopia? Destruction. The old order must be ripped up from its roots. Opposition must be mercilessly crushed.

What have we witnessed from Trump’s candidacy in 2015 forward?

An unremitting four-year assault on Trump and his presidency. Ceaseless attempts to subvert his administration through the weaponized use of law, from Robert Mueller to two sham impeachments.

Last year, though draconian shutdowns -- particularly harsh in blue states; ask Michiganders -- with accompanying trampling of constitutional rights.

Imposition of masks to exact subservience. The destruction of small businesses and jobs. Restrictions on church attendance, while strip clubs, abortion mills, and pot emporiums thrived. Much of this permitted to undermine the Trump presidency and scuttle Trump’s chances at reelection. And the clear election fixes in key battleground states to ensure that Trump lost.

Passivity toward or encouragement of violence and riots in blue cities in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. Licenses granted to expressly militant, anti-American groups, BLM and Antifa, in Democrat jurisdictions to incite violence and cause mayhem. Calls to defund or even abolish police. The general collapse of law and order in blue cities, Portland being an ongoing example.

Through the intensifying, caustic narrative that the United States suffers from “systemic racism.” Through the emerging calls for remedies, namely, reverse racism and reparations -- retributions all -- for the unpardonable sin of being born white – at least, nonaffluent, nonprogressive white. 800,000 casualties in a hot civil war to end Democrat-backed slavery and a civil rights movement to end Democrat-imposed apartheid (Jim Crow), of no account.

All lives no longer matter to Democrats, who have found a new expression for virulent racism, which is their legacy.

Through the border crisis, which really isn’t a crisis for Democrats. The surge of illegals entering the country is a means to an end. America is to be forever changed -- transformed by new underclass populations that have no loyalty to the American experience, who are fresh shock troops that can help “deconstruct” local communities, and who will be paid off with taxpayer-funded government largesse.

Through the Biden administration’s government by executive orders -- orders via fiat to impose elements of the Democrats’ statist agenda. And that agenda?

Let’s highlight H.R. 1 (elections “reform”), which is flagrantly anti honest elections, brazenly designed to lock in Democrats’ control of the federal government in perpetuity. Then let’s go to the Green New Deal, which would drain away the nation’s economic lifeblood by attacking the conventional energy industry. Radical environmentalism is a cult among Democrats. Read daily the New York Times. It catalogues its side’s zealotry, a zealotry that alone would collapse the nation if given free rein.

What about the less known but disastrous aim of urbanizing the suburbs? Why should cities alone suffer under Democrat rule?

Then there’s Big Tech’s and Corporate America’s bold collusion with Democrats. No idealism is involved. Perhaps some fear, but it’s mostly cold calculation. It’s about money and power and corporate brass believing that siding with Democrats is the ticket to more of both.

Be it Microsoft or Twitter or Coca Cola or Delta or Major League Baseball, the line isn’t just blurring between the public and private sectors, it’s being erased.

Attacks on 1st Amendment rights and fair elections and cancel culture are coordinated, informally for now. Are social credit scores for individuals -- a behavior control tool -- far off?
\
The amalgam of a political party, government, and large corporations should chill liberty-loving Americans to their bones.

Capping things off, Democrats are on the frontlines in the long war on American culture, mores, and values. Democrats are exhibiting an emboldened contempt for what most Americans hold dear: family, faith, and flag. Militant atheism -- unbridled hate for God and religion -- grows unabashedly among Democrats.

Paul Kengor, in his excellent study of Karl Marx (The Devil and Karl Marx), cited the late Bishop Fulton Sheen, who quoted Marx: “Communism begins where atheism begins.”

Unfettered abortion (unmitigated infanticide) is increasingly matter-of-factly championed. And the oddball notion that one’s sex is malleable and chosen is being forced on Americans who know better. Males can claim to be females and access gym showers, restrooms, and compete with -- and often beat -- female athletes in contests.

Tobacco is bad, but pot and illicit drugs are recreational.

In pure Orwellian fashion, language is being perverted to try to dupe us that dishonest elections are fair, illegals are simply noncitizens and migrants, and riots are peaceful protests.

The 2020s is the decade where America’s fate is decided. Will we be free or unfree? A republic or some form of tyranny? Will Democrats win the civil war they’ve started? Or will decent, God-fearing, freedom-loving Americans of every stripe coalesce and vanquish the Democrats and end the greatest threat ever to the nation?

We win this war by first accepting who the Democrats have become and the initiatives they’ve launched to destroy our country. We defeat them, and then we never let this threat rise again.

FBI Abused Secretive Surveillance Program, Court Finds
April 28, 2021 7:05, Last Updated: April 28, 2021 17:06
By Zachary Stieber

The FBI has continued its abuses of the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act program, including searching for information on U.S. citizens who had gone to the bureau to report that they were victims of a crime, a newly declassified document shows.

One FBI information specialist between April 11, 2019, and July 8, 2019, conducted approximately 124 queries of email messages and other electronic communications obtained through secretive methods under the FISA program, which permits warrantless surveillance of foreigners outside of the United States.

The surveillance can and has been used to ultimately obtain information on Americans.

The searches included looking at information for people who had requested to participate in a bureau-run citizens academy, which is a program for local leaders designed to foster greater understanding of the role of federal law enforcement, and people who needed to enter the field office the FBI worker was based in to conduct work, such as a repair, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court reported in the newly released document.

In other cases, people who entered the field office, which wasn’t identified, to report they were victims of a crime were subjected to the background search.

In another example that concerned the court’s presiding judge, James Boasberg, an FBI task force officer conducted 69 queries that were not in line with the agency’s internal rules on how to conduct the searches.

“The Court continues to be concerned about FBI querying practices involving U.S.-person query terms, including (1) application of the substantive standard for conducting queries; (2) queries that are designed to retrieve evidence of crime that is not foreign-intelligence information; and (3) recordkeeping and documentation requirements,” Boasberg wrote.

The government also self-reported numerous incidents where queries involving Americans were designed to return evidence of a crime completely unrelated to foreign intelligence without getting an order from the court. The same issues were found the previous year, “which suggests that similar violations … likely have occurred across the Bureau.”

Boasberg’s overview of the FBI’s use of FISA was written on Nov. 18, 2020, but just released to the public this week.

FBI workers have repeatedly abused the system that permits it to look at intelligence garnered under FISA, previous reports and analyses have shown.
The court found in 2018 that bureau personnel improperly searched an expansive foreign surveillance database for tens of thousands of phone numbers and email addresses that included those of Americans. Additionally, a watchdog review of warrant applications to spy on Carter Page, a former adviser to former President Donald Trump, uncovered 17 significant errors or omissions.

FBI headquarters in Washington on Jan. 2, 2020. (Samira Bouaou/The Epoch Times)

Boasberg eventually ordered the FBI to revamp its FISA procedures, and the bureau has made changes, such as adding to warrant application forms whether the surveillance target was a government source, revamping training on how to use the system, and altering a checklist used to vet confidential sources.

Updated targeting procedures were submitted to the court last year.

In an emailed statement sent to The Epoch Times, a senior FBI official said the bureau implemented a number of changes by December 2019, including deploying updated training to all personnel who have access to unlimited information from FISA surveillance.

The majority of the non-compliance incidents referenced in the newly released report occurred prior to implementation of the FBI’s changes, the official said. Boasberg said as much in the report.

Absent evidence to the contrary and under the unique circumstances stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, he continues to determine that the FBI’s procedures meet lawful and Fourth Amendment requirements, the judge decided.

“While the Court is concerned about the apparent widespread violations of the querying standard … it lacks sufficient information at this time to assess the adequacy of the FBI system changes and training, post-implementation,” he wrote.

The bureau noted that Boasberg was overall supportive of the FBI and approved the bureau’s submission for reauthorization to continue using the FISA system.

Boasberg, an Obama nominee, in January sentenced former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith—who admitted to altering an email to obscure the fact that Page was a CIA asset—to probation, with no jail time.

The top Democratic and Republican members on the House and Senate Intelligence Committees didn’t immediately respond to requests by The Epoch Times for comment on the newly released report.

Jake Laperruque, senior counsel for the Project on Government Oversight, wrote on Twitter that the new documents show that the FBI has been conducting so-called backdoor searches on people “for domestic policing” without receiving the mandated approval from the court.

“Essentially, this means the FBI was able to conduct warrantless domestic searches without the FISA Court approval they were supposed to get, at best because personnel were sloppy, at worst because using the default settings gave plausible deniability for abuse,” he said.

Seattle Area School Assigns Anti-White Poem to Students

“I mean, how insecure are you, White Hollywood…”

From the Informed Parents of Washington… click here to see their original post.
A Seattle area MIDDLE school in Issaquah, Washington, assigned their students to read and discuss a vile racist poem by someone named Joe Limer. Issaquah is a very affluent suburb sharing a border with Redmond, the home of Microsoft, and has a large Asian population. Issaquah is also the international headquarters for Costco.

Read through these lyrics and then watch the video of the whole poem. What would YOU do if your children brought this assignment home? Did I mention this is from a MIDDLE school assignment? (Be aware, some vile lyrics)

“I mean, how insecure are you, White Hollywood,
When diversity means placing Asian males,
In asexual supporting roles,
“Never getting the girls.
I mean, I get it, you don’t need Viagra,
You can suck your own dick because you get a colonized erection
“Every single time you cast Asian women
As love interest sex slaves.
See, you tell society, white person saves me
By pushing me out of harm’s way.”

Here is the short video of the author of the poem doing the entire poem (be aware, some vile lyrics):

They Censor Because They’re Scared Of Truth

BY ROD LAMPARDAPRIL 28, 2021

This overthrow of elected representatives raises some important questions about where we go from here.

Silicon Valley is yet again proving that they’re an anti-democratic monopoly, willing to ban, block, boot, and blunt the voice of democratically elected representatives.

Craig Kelly is their latest victim.

Facebook has banned the Australian Member of Parliament for breaching their COVID rules.

One of those posts in question was Kelly’s proposed bill to ‘Ban Domestic Passports’ within Australia.

ACL director Martyn Iles called the targeted ban, “big tech censorship”, noting that one of his “The Truth of It” videos have been censored and that when it comes to Facebook “he, himself, is on borrowed time.”

Iles has a good reason for thinking this way. Radical Leftist Jihadists spurred on by the collaborative cancellation of President Donald Trump, appear to love a book burning.

For instance, as Iles noted, Amazon’s ‘recent ban on one of the most carefully written scholarly books on transgenderism, by Dr Ryan T Anderson.’

In addition, Tik Tok ‘(without explanation) permanently banned PragerU’s Amala Ekpunobi, a young, African American, conservative woman whose content tends to be nothing short of excellent.’

The ACL director declared: they censor because they’re scared of ‘truth. Truth is exposed by analysis. Truth has the power to persuade people. It is hard to fight fair against truth.’

He then pointed out that ‘the woke worldview is built on a foundation of lies, which must be protected at all costs – especially the most fragile ones.

Censorship is the only tool they have to fight truth. They dare not let it free, or argue with it.’

I’m going to add that the kings and queens of the information age seem determined to exert political power, where political power hasn’t been granted to them.

The technocratic Tower of Babel bubble, that is Facebook, and Twitter (et.al) are how people do business.

There is no opt-out clause. Ours is now truly a technological society.
Technocrats don’t seem to just want the world, they want to run it, and they’re on their way to owning you.

Many businesses use their platforms to communicate with employees, passing on vital information that affects the livelihoods of everyday people, living everyday lives.

The technocracy in California thrives on this co-dependent relationship. They are rulers of the governed, without the consent of the governed.

It’s an abusive relationship, trademarked by Big Tech’s collaborative effort to interfere in the 2020 United States election when they punished customers on their platforms for objecting to conscription into Silicon Valley’s predominantly Leftist groupthink paradigm.

The way they wield power through their sheltered, centralised hub betrays an arrogance not dissimilar to what Democrat Senator, J. William Fulbright, in 1966 called, ‘power confusing itself with virtue.’

Fulbright was lamenting his vote supporting the Democrat-led push to increase America’s involvement in Vietnam. He saw the ‘organised slaughter’ as an outworking of the ‘arrogance of power.’

The relevance is simple. For Fulbright, this was ‘welfare imperialism’; a big nation dictating their terms of existence onto a smaller nation.

In today’s geopolitical vernacular, it’s Communist China vs. the Free People of Hong Kong. Likewise, Communist China vs. the Republic of China (Taiwan).

By banning criticism, Big Tech follows the road of ‘exaggerated power’, where it ‘can admit no wrong-doing,’ because it’s too invested in an agreed-upon consensus, that demands ‘unquestioning support.’ (ibid)

Their COVID-19 wall of silence that bans alternative opinions from “unapproved” professionals, and its vetting system that ensures loyalty to the agreed-upon narrative is an expression of this ‘arrogance of power.’

This overthrow of elected representatives raises some important questions about where we go from here.

One possible way that Big Tech can work around their concerns about “fake news” content is by extending grace to the official accounts of our elected representatives.

Could something akin to parliamentary privilege be extended to elected representatives using social media?

I’m convinced it could. If Big Tech is serious about civil liberties, primarily freedom of expression and speech, such an extension is not only an appropriate application of grace towards elected representatives but it’s fast becoming a necessity.

The voice of the people, for the people should be protected.

Parliamentary privilege empowers this; it ‘refers to an immunity from the ordinary law, which is recognised by the law as a right of the houses and their members.’

As such, ‘parliamentary privilege exists for the purpose of enabling the houses of the Parliament to carry out effectively their functions.’

For example: ‘the primary functions of the (upper-senate; lower-representatives) houses are to inquire, to debate and to legislate.’

The sad reality is that, for all the bluster about being platforms for freedom of speech, Big Tech isn’t all that interested in being platforms for freedom of speech.

There can be, said Fulbright, ‘no solution to a problem until it is first acknowledged that there is a problem.’

It’s doubtful that the technocratic kings and queens of this new aristocracy are aware that the fault, as well as the remedy for it, lies with them.

WATCH: Fr. Altman says bishops showed ‘abundance of cowardice’ in COVID response
‘Shepherds of the Church, bishops of the Church: You better get united, you better start standing up for the faithful. That’s your job.’

By Doug Mainwaring

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin, April 28, 2021 (LifeSiteNews) — The priest who last fall rocked the U.S. Catholic Church when he warned, “You cannot be Catholic and Democrat,” is again making headlines for speaking plainly and truthfully about the COVID-19 vaccines, and for calling out the apostasy of Catholic bishops. In an exclusive interview with LifeSiteNews, Fr. James Altman discussed the media-manufactured controversy and rebuked bishops who have cowardly mishandled the Church’s pandemic response from the start.

The U.S. bishops could’ve “shown an abundance of courage, instead of an abundance of cowardice,” he pointed out.

Altman, a priest of the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin, is being targeted by local and national media for cautioning parishioners that the COVID-19 injection technically “is NOT a vaccine,” but rather “an experimental use of a genetic altering substance that modifies your body — your Temple of the Holy Spirit.”

He is also being criticized for what some detractors deem to be his disregard for COVID-19 gathering and masking restrictions during parish Masses, while also frequently administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion on the tongue, not the hand.

The Associated Press (AP), Newsweek, and others picked up on the story after a local paper, La Crosse Tribune, accused Fr. Altman of “flouting COVID protocols” and sharing “vaccine misinformation.”

Fr. Altman sat down with LifeSite’s Jim Hale to discuss the media-manufactured controversy and to rebuke bishops who have cowardly mishandled the Church’s pandemic response from the start.

“This is how stupid the left wing is,” said Fr. Altman. “They think they’re attacking me, but what they have done is they have created international news, spreading the truth that I have been speaking. I could never have done [this] on my own.”

Altman explained that his simple goal is to lead his parishioners to remain faithful in the face of what’s going on in the world, noting that in countries like Ireland and Canada, those resisting mandates while striving to live their faith are being arrested.

“It’s coming here if we don’t stand up to it,” said Altman. “Shepherds of the Church, bishops of the Church: You better get united, you better start standing up for the faithful. That’s your job.”

“Back when this whole thing started, the bishops of the Church lost a great opportunity to finally stand up and be relevant again,” noted Altman. The U.S. bishops could’ve “shown an abundance of courage, instead of an abundance of cowardice.”

“They lost the opportunity, they dropped the ball, they abandoned the sheep,” said Altman. “It’s like a blinking pink neon sign,” repeatedly flashing the message that the Church is “non-essential, non-essential, non-essential.”

“Why should people believe in the real-presence [of Christ in the Eucharist] when the shepherds of the Church in this country and around the world have said it doesn’t matter if you receive or not?” wondered Altman.

“There’s an absolute lack of faith,” he declared. “This is the bad fruit that has come from the bad trees over the last thirty years, really since Vatican II when they destroyed our churches, when they eviscerated our sacred liturgy, [and when] they made it a turning toward man instead of toward God.”
Bishops commit sacrilege by allowing President Biden to receive Holy Communion
Fr. Altman criticized President Joe Biden for telling Americans that it is their patriotic duty to take the COVID-19 injection.

“No, Joe Biden, it’s my patriotic duty NOT to get your little science experiment inside my body,” emphasized Altman. “What a buffoon!”

In this context, he addressed the bishops, saying, “How dare you, shepherds of the Church, encourage people to use the Temple of the Holy Spirit … in some experiment that we know is gene manipulation? How dare any shepherd of the Church encourage you to take an experiment that manipulates your genes? That is as godless as they come.”

Biden “is no more Catholic than the Dalai Lama,” said Altman, “and shame on any shepherd of the Church who dared to say they would commit sacrilege by giving that guy Holy Communion.”

“How dare you, shepherds of the Church, how dare you say such a thing!” he added.

Altman said that Biden is an apostate, and that the prelates who condone Biden’s reception of the Holy Eucharist are likewise engaged in apostasy: “You don’t give apostates the Blessed Sacrament.”
To the German bishops: “You guys don’t deserve your little red hats”
Fr. Altman then turned his attention to the errant German bishops, who are seeking to mormalize homosexuality and divorce within the Church, and to Pope Francis.

“Is the bishop of Rome finally saying: ‘Listen, you guys don’t deserve your little red hats. You don’t deserve your little purple hats? You are evil? You are apostates to the unchangeable truth?”
What Fauci, Bishops, are now promoting is damnable to the hottest fires of hell
In his Palm Sunday homily, Fr. Altman had criticized the “godless vermin” who have “fed us fear and instituted godless, Nazi-esque controls on all of us and on those we love.”

“Let us be clear, God damns every single one of those godless moves, whether it be in civil governments, or worse, in the complicity of many in the Church,” he declared.

“In fact, if hell itself has many levels … as Dante was inspired to write, the lowest, hottest levels are the final burning place for those shepherds who were complicit in the godless restrictions,” said Fr. Altman.

COVID restrictions are “destroying our humanity,” asserted the priest. “We are destroying our relationships with other humans made in the image and likeness of God.”

“The godlessness of what has happened over the past year — the godlessness of what Fauci is now promoting, double masking — is damnable to the hottest fires of hell,” said Altman. “And I’m not joking.”
Why aren’t there more priests like Fr. Altman?
When asked why there aren’t more priests who are willing to speak out boldly and truthfully, he said priests are trained beginning in the seminary to be afraid.
“Once you’re a priest, if you step out of line, they’ll take away your faculties.

That’s the big threat — the Sword of Damacles — hanging over everybody’s head,” so truth-speaking priests have to “fly below the radar.”
Fr. Altman’s parting words to LifeSiteNews readers
“Stay close to the Holy Eucharist,” Altman said. “Without that, you do not have life within you. That is what sustains us. And that is why it is so diabolical for any shepherd of the Church to deny people access.”

Every single Catholic has a right to kneel and receive communion on the tongue, and no shepherd of the Church can deny that universal right, the priest emphasized. “Go to the Holy Eucharist, my dear family. That is our only hope in Jesus Our Lord.”

Arizona – Parents took over a Vail School District board meeting this week to protest the mask mandate for children.

Arizona Governor Doug Ducey lifted the statewide mask mandate for schools last summer, but the Vail Unified School District kept the mandate in place anyway.

Board members were planning on reviewing the mask mandate on Tuesday when angry parents made their way into the building and crashed the study session, KGUN-TV reported.

Pima County Sheriffs showed up to the school to help keep the order.

The school board members couldn’t take the heat so they canceled their meeting and took off like cowards.

They wouldn’t even face the parents.

“Let our children breathe!” the protesters chanted.

“They do not have the right to take this away from us! These are our kids!” a mother said.

“We’re hearing they’ve all quit!” one parent said before the group held their own impromptu election and struck down the mask mandate.

Critical Race Theory Is About to Face Its Day(s) in Court
BY REALCLEARINVESTIGATIONS AND JOHN MURAWSKI

April 27, 2021 Updated: April 27, 2021

As recently as last summer, few people outside academia had heard of critical race theory, whose central claim is that racism, not liberty, is the founding value and guiding vision of American society. Then, President Trump issued an executive order last September banning the teaching of this “malign ideology” to federal employees and federal contractors.

Trump’s ban was blocked by a federal judge in December and immediately revoked by Joe Biden upon occupying the White House in January. Since then, federal agencies and federal contractors have resumed staff training on unconscious bias, microaggressions, systemic racism and white privilege – some of the most common but also most disputed concepts associated with the four-decade-old academic theory.

Now critical race theory is about to face a major real-world test: a spate of lawsuits alleging that it encourages discrimination and other illegal policies targeting whites, males and Christians. But unlike Trump’s executive order, which ran into First Amendment problems by prohibiting controversial speech, the lawsuits name specific policies and practices that allegedly discriminate, harass, blame and humiliate people based on their race.

The common thread of these legal challenges is the inescapable logic that making accommodations for critical race theory will erode the nation’s anti-discrimination law as it has developed since the 1960s. This would mean replacing the colorblind ideal of treating all people equally, which has been widely viewed as the crowning achievement of the civil rights movement, with a contrary strategy: implementing race-based policies, which can range from affirmative action to reparations for compensating African Americans for the injustices of the past and for producing equitable outcomes in the future.

“Critical race theory is a Trojan horse of sorts,” said David Pivtorak, a Los Angeles lawyer representing two white men who are suing two California state environment agencies. “It disguises itself as the gold standard of fairness and justice but, in fact, relies on vilification and the idea of permanent oppressor and oppressed races. Its goal is not ensuring that all people play by the same rules, regardless of race, but equity, which is a euphemism for race-based outcomes.”

About a dozen lawsuits and administrative complaints have been filed since 2018, with another wave planned this summer by conservative public interest law firms and private attorneys. Their goal is to draw attention to some of the more pronounced practices and win court judgments to slow down the spread of CRT in K-12 schools, government agencies other organizations.

A pair of lawsuits filed in 2019 by four white women against the New York City public school system allege that a diversity trainer told employees, “White colleagues must take a step back and yield to colleagues of color,” and that they should “recognize that values of White culture are supremacist.” The California suit filed last year by the two white men alleges that the state hosted a discussion series in 2020 in which speakers stated “that any disparate outcomes in society must be the result of white supremacy.”

A 2019 complaint filed by an Illinois public school teacher led to a finding that as part of a year-long course on equity and diversity, seventh- and eighth-graders participated in a white privilege awareness exercise that required them to remain “in silence” and with “eyes lowered” as they responded to a facilitator’s prompts.

A 2020 lawsuit filed by a 12th-grade biracial student and his African American mother says that a civics class in a Nevada charter school taught that “reverse racism doesn’t exist” and that “people of color CANNOT be racist.”

Critical race theory scholars assured RealClearInvestigations that white people should never be fired, penalized or gratuitously humiliated for the historical accident of being born white. But organizations should be granted wide leeway in adopting diversity training and equity policies, they say, even if asking white people to acknowledge their unearned privilege and think about their complicity in white supremacy makes them feel singled out and induces anxiety.

“Part of being an employee or a public official or a school teacher requires you to appreciate your own standing – your identity and your positionality,” said Margaret Burnham, a law professor at Northeastern University and a former Massachusetts state judge, using CRT terms that describe racial and gender power hierarchies.

“Anything that is about the education of the person so that they can do a better job is fair game,” Burnham said. “Just like you have to learn new technologies, new languages, I consider this part of being an employee, part of being in a public space where you’re going to interact with other people.”

Proponents of critical race theory say the lawsuits are a form of white denialism that confirms the pervasiveness of the problem that CRT exposes. Many critical race theorists believe that the United States has functioned as an elaborate affirmative action scheme to empower and enrich white males, a strategy that depends on a certain degree of coverup.

“I see these lawsuits as a last gasp attempt of those who benefit from the racial hierarchy to cling to the power and the privileges that have been associated with whiteness from the beginning of the country,” said andré douglas pond cummings (who writes his name in lowercase letters), a business law professor at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock who has taught courses on corporate justice and “Hip Hop & the American Constitution.”

“Critical race theory challenges the very legitimacy of the legal system in which these lawsuits are situated,” cummings said. “Treating people with dissimilar histories equally, where some have been historically oppressed, can lead to unjust results and outcomes, thereby requiring a focus on results and outcomes, not on blind process, with the goal being equal economic opportunity and equity.”

The central unifying insight of critical race theory is that racism is embedded in the U.S. legal system and social structures, “so that you don’t have to think about it anymore and you can have racism without racists at this point,” said Robert Westley, a Tulane University law professor who specializes in critical race theory and reparations.

“You don’t have to be an avowed racist in order for there to be race-based outcomes in this society,” Westley said, noting that confronting these matters “is going to entail talking about things that make a lot of people very uncomfortable.”

CRT rejects the foundational premises of classical liberalism – such as legal neutrality and individual rights – and from that perspective, colorblindness is not understood as a strategy to overcome racism but as a method to perpetuate it.
“It’s a white ideology,” Burnham said. “Colorblindness really comes into fashion as a means of denying the persistence of racial stratification in the United States.”

The lawsuits face a number of challenges, a point borne out by early setbacks some of the claims have experienced so far, including the defeat of Trump’s executive order on free-speech grounds. In another case, lawyers dropped the discrimination allegations in one of the first such lawsuits, filed in 2018 against the Santa Barbara Unified School District in California, because, they said, students and staff who supported the lawsuit were “deathly afraid” of repercussions if they spoke out and came forward publicly as plaintiffs.

Part 1 of 2

Part 2 of 2

Claimants generally have to prove the alleged discrimination is severe and pervasive. They also have to overcome the freedom-of-speech rights of those who are professing to be dismantling systemic racism. What’s more, lawyers on both sides say that courts traditionally defer to employers and educators to set policy on workplace training and classroom curricula, a built-in restraint on activist judges.

Perhaps the biggest wild card in these lawsuits is the staggering cultural shift of the past five years, during which many of the precepts of CRT have become widely accepted, especially among many in the nation’s intelligentsia and the professional managerial class.

President Biden has adopted the language and made equity part of his platform, including a proposal to establish an Equity Commission “to support the rights of Black, Brown and Native farmers.” Immediately upon taking office, he issued an “Executive Order on Advancing Racial Equity” to address systemic racism and “affirmatively” promote equity and racial justice in the federal government.

“Our Nation deserves an ambitious whole-of-government equity agenda that matches the scale of the opportunities and challenges that we face,” the executive order states.

And last week, Biden’s Education Department proposed new priorities for its American History and Civics Education programs in recognition that the Covid-19 pandemic and “the ongoing national reckoning with systemic racism have highlighted the urgency of improving racial equity throughout our society.” The priorities include incorporating diverse perspectives and anti-racist practices into the teaching of history, with The New York Times 1619 Project cited as an example.

This paradigm shift has catapulted “anti-racist” experts like diversity trainer and best-selling “White Fragility” author Robin DiAngelo into the stratosphere of fame. Another beneficiary of the zeitgeist is Ibram X. Kendi, the Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the Humanities at Boston University who runs the school’s Center for Antiracist Research. Kendi is the author of the 2019 bestseller “How to Be an Antiracist,” which contains a succinct antiracist formula that rests on the distinction between bad discrimination (racism) and good discrimination (antiracism): “The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

The nation’s current anti-discrimination law does not make such a distinction, and would read Kendi’s proposal as absurd as claiming that there’s a meaningful difference between good theft and bad theft; instead, all discrimination is wrong in the existing legal framework, with the exception of limited, narrowly tailored exemptions that are subject to strict scrutiny by the courts.

A sampling of recent lawsuits and complaints shows how critical race theory practices have played out in a variety of circumstances.

The suit against the New York City Department of Education alleges that employees were told at a diversity retreat that “there is White toxicity in the air and we all breathe it in.” Examples given included the Protestant work ethic and being socialized to be “defensive.” Such messages about “interrogating Whiteness” were repeated over the course of a year, during which time four white employees who later filed suit were accused of privilege, shamed, demoted and replaced by African Americans. The pair of lawsuits, filed in 2019, are in the discovery phase as the Department of Education and the lawyers for the four white women suing exchange documents and evidence.

A fall 2020 civics curriculum at a Nevada charter school encouraged students to “unlearn” the oppressive structures within their families, their religion and their intersectional identities. The teacher, who identified herself in class materials as a bisexual agnostic with a mental health disability, asked 12th-graders to reflect on the parts of their identity that “have privilege attached to it,” according to a discrimination suit filed by the biracial male student and his black mother who allege he was coerced to affirm a political ideology against his conscience and his Christian faith. The case, filed last December, is headed for trial after a judge, saying the allegations raise “some serious constitutional issues,” refused to toss it out.

In the California lawsuit brought by the two white men, a discussion hosted by the state Department of Fish & Wildlife featured speakers who said that black people don’t use the outdoors in proportion to their population because of white racism, generational trauma and a historical fear of lynching. White employees were instructed on the country’s deeply racist legal system and advised that “silence is complicity” when it comes to racial injustice. According to the lawsuit, employees were subjected to implicit bias training that amounted to compelling staff to take “loyalty oaths” to CRT ideology. The lawsuit, filed last October, is in the early procedural stage; the state’s lawyers are seeking to have the case dismissed.

In one of the more unusual cases, the Department of Education’s Office of Civil Rights agreed in early January with an Illinois public school teacher that her school district violated anti-discrimination law when it implemented a discipline policy that explicitly directed staff to consider a student’s race when evaluating behavioral and disciplinary issues.

The case offers indications that different judges will likely reach opposite conclusions in such disputes: Just two weeks after ruling for the schoolteacher under the Trump administration, the Department of Education put the case on hold when President Biden took office and issued the “advancing racial equity” executive order.

The Department of Education initially found that the K-8 school district engaged in illegal stereotyping when administrators and staff were invited to write down “some defining aspects of white culture” in a white privilege awareness exercise. The materials provided several examples of “common white reasoning,” including: “we [whites] haven’t had to develop the skills, perspectives or humility that would help us engage constructively” in cross-racial conflicts. The agency also flagged a segregated “affinity group” for white students that served as a “safe space” for students to learn about white privilege, internalized dominance, microaggressions and how to act as an ally for students of color.

Hovering in the background of these lawsuits is the unresolved question: To what extent does truth provide a defense against charges of discrimination? It will come as no surprise that to conservatives and other critics of CRT its fatal flaw is its factual wrongness.

“The ideology is so patently stupid and racist to the common person that the only way you can implement it or teach it is with an element of coercion, otherwise it would just be laughed at,” said Jonathan O’Brien, the lawyer representing the student and mother who filed the Nevada lawsuit. “That’s why the training sessions are like pressure cookers.”

But if critical race theory is true, as its adherents believe, then labeling the truth as discriminatory smacks of censorship.

The lawyers who successfully challenged Trump’s executive order last year, for example, claimed truth as a defense when they argued that their clients offer instruction about systemic racism and white privilege as an essential part of their social justice mission to provide equitable health care services. Systemic racism is understood as the totality of social institutions operating in such a way as to generate disparate outcomes for people of color in criminal justice, health care, education and other areas.

“We’re talking about a structure, a system, that was set up to benefit white people. Whether people realize it or not, they’re often continuing that system in a way that hurts people of color,” said Camilla Taylor, director of constitutional litigation for Lambda Legal, which calls itself the nation’s oldest and largest LGBTQ rights group. “And to undo that structure you need to be able to name who it benefits and who it disadvantages.”

Lambda Legal represented the NO/AIDS Task Force, Los Angeles LGBT Center and Dr. Ward Carpenter, the Los Angeles center’s co-director of health services who specializes in transgender medicine and personally treats 200 patients. Their successful legal challenge argued that the restrictions in Trump’s executive order “not only run afoul of First Amendment protections, but they ignore verifiable and truthful information, and therefore restrict highly protected professional speech.”

In a phone interview, Taylor cited medical research published in 2019 in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences that contended when African American newborns are cared for by African American physicians, their mortality rate is cut by half. There is no explanation for the disparity in death rates but the race of the provider, she said.

“Implicit bias is a problem that is greater in white people than it is in people of color,” Taylor said. “To prevent people from talking about these facts, because they make you feel some sense of personal responsibility or guilt that you don’t want to feel, is not only wrong but it hurts people in real time.”

The stakes of this dispute couldn’t be higher, at least judging by the rhetoric expressed by both sides.

One of the conservative groups planning to file lawsuits, the Upper Midwest Law Center in Golden Valley, Mich., is in talks with prospective clients who include non-whites, said the center’s president, Douglas Seaton.

Seaton described the abandonment of the colorblind idea as giving up on the nation itself.

“You can’t have a country as diverse as ours without equality before the law,” Seaton said. “It’s a recipe for communal violence, tribalism. You can’t simply proceed that way. You’d be doomed to internecine battles between groups.”

GOP Congressmen Join Forces To Denounce Secretary Of Education For Pushing Critical Race Theory
"Critical Race Theory commits to an unremitting attack on Western institutions and norms in order to dismantle all aspects of society."

Republican Reps. Doug Lamborn of Colorado and Jeff Duncan of South Carolina sent a letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona on Tuesday expressing their “deep concern” regarding the “proposed new grant priority for the American History and Civics Education program” that promotes Critical Race Theory.

“Civics and history are two subjects that are vitally important to our children’s intellectual growth and education,” the letter read in part. “Through civic education, students learn the foundational principles of our democracy, about our coequal branches of government, and our unalienable rights under the Constitution. A strong civic education should empower students to be well-informed and active citizens.”

The letter went on to warn against the influence of the 1619 Project and Ibram X. Kendi’s book “How to Be an Antiracist,” the principles of which the congressmen described as “antithetical to the American Dream.” They went on to extol the American Dream for having “drawn millions of individuals to America’s shores and created the most prosperous nation in human history.”

The letter also blasted the 1619 Project as “a racially divisive, revisionist account of history which intends to ‘reframe U.S. history by marking the year when the first enslaved Africans arrived on Virginia soil as our nation’s foundational date.'” It added that the 1619 Project “is in fundamental opposition to our true foundation date in 1776.”

“Critical Race Theory commits to an unremitting attack on Western institutions and norms in order to dismantle all aspects of society,” the letter further says, warning that the teachings of Critical Race Theory ultimately undermine the fundamental rights of the American people

“Critical Race Theory is antithetical to the fundamental values and beliefs of America and the American dream,” Lamborn said in a statement provided to The Daily Wire. “The 1619 Project is historically inaccurate, racially divisive, and argues that the entire American system is corrupted from top to bottom. Our schools obviously have a crucial role to play in helping make students aware of the negative consequences of slavery and the significant contributions of Black Americans. However, we should never prioritize educational grants for schools that promote attacks on the principles enshrined in our Constitution. I am grateful for the support of Congressman Duncan on this crucial issue.”

As The Daily Wire recently reported on Hannah-Jones’ promotion:
Nikole Hannah-Jones, a journalist for The New York Times who is responsible for the 1619 Project, is joining the faculty of her alma mater at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill to teach journalism.
Hannah-Jones, who received a master’s degree from the school in 2003, is assuming its Knight Chair in Race and Investigative Journalism while remaining employed at The New York Times, according to an announcement from UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media.

“This is a full-circle moment for me as I return to the place that launched my career to help launch the careers of other aspiring journalists,” Hannah-Jones tweeted on Monday. “I’m so excited to continue mentoring students from the classroom and for all I will learn from them.”
This is a full-circle moment for me as I return to the place that launched my career to help launch the careers of other aspiring journalists. Cuban Refugee Warns America Is Swallowing The ‘Poison Pill’ Of Communism (AUDIO)

By Mike LaChance

Maximo-Alvaraez-AL.jpg

Do you remember Maximo Alvarez? He is the Cuban-American immigrant who spoke at the last Republican convention and warned America not to trust the Democrats.

He talked about his family escaping communism and praised America for being the land of the free.

This week, he was interviewed by Lisa Boothe and once again, he sounded the alarm.

The Daily Wire has details:

Cuban Refugee Warns Americans Have Already ‘Swallowed’ Communism’s ‘Poison Pill’
A refugee who fled communist Cuba warned during a Wednesday interview that he believes many Americans have already swallowed the “poison pill” of communism.

Maximo Alvarez, who fled to the United States from Cuba under Operation Peter Pan in 1961, said on Wednesday’s episode of the podcast “The Truth with Lisa Boothe” that communism has successfully infiltrated American culture and institutions.

After Alvarez recounted how quickly rights evaporated for Cubans under Fidel Castro when he was a child, Boothe referenced Alvarez’s speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) last summer when she asked him if he believes Americans have “swallowed the communist poison pill.”
“Not only have they swallowed it, they digested it,” Alvarez responded. “Listen to the media. They’re no longer objective. You can tell how much they hate this country.”
“Look at our, our academia!” he continued. “Our kids are not being … they’re indoctrinated! They are taught that America is a bad country. That we’re a bunch of racists, that we’re bad people, and we have to pay back. If this country was racist, I wouldn’t be here. If this country was a racist country, most of us wouldn’t be here because even some people in your family came from another country.”

Biden DOJ "Actively Considering" Domestic Terrorism Law To Target White Supremacists

THURSDAY, APR 29, 2021 - 02:20 PM

On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden told a Congress that "white supremacy is terrorism," after claiming that US intelligence considers it "the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland today."

Hours earlier, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) set the stage for the new narrative by telling MSNBC's Nicol Wallace that "The predominant part of that domestic threat " is white nationalists, adding "We can’t ignore that because of a political sensitivity that some of the folks are part of the Trump base."

Less than 24 hours later, Bloomberg is reporting that the Biden DOJ is "actively considering" whether to seek a new law which would allow prosecutors to bring specific charges for domestic terrorists who plot and/or carry out attacks, according to a senior department official.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland
"One of the things we’re looking at is would we need new authorities," said deputy assistant attorney general for the department's national security division, Brad Wiegmann, during a Thursday House hearing.

Weigmann added that while the department has been successful using existing laws to fight domestic terrorism - including bringing charges for offenses involving weapons or explosives violations, hate crimes and arson, there have been more than 430 arrests made in connection with the Jan. 6 assault on the US Capitol "carried out by extremist supporters of then-President Donald Trump" (as Bloomberg puts it).
The FBI has warned that domestic violent extremists pose a heightened threat for carrying out attacks in the U.S. in the near future, with white supremacists being the most lethal threat.
...
Currently, no U.S. law lets the government designate domestic extremists as terrorists or bring specific charges for domestic terrorism. That contrasts with laws to combat international terrorism, which allow the government to designate groups and bring charges for providing those groups with material support. -
Bloomberg
"The question we’re really wrestling with is, are there gaps," Weigman told a House Appropriations subcommittee. "Is there some type of conduct that we can envision that we can’t cover or would it be an otherwise benefit in having something else other than what we’re having now?"

Democratic Rep. Matt Cartwright of Pennsylvania - chairman of the subcommittee, said that: "Right-wing extremist attacks and plots have greatly outnumbered those from all other groups combined and caused more deaths as well," adding "This is a cancer on our country."

Which is weird, because at least 4 members of the Proud Boys were FBI informants who gave the agency information prior to the Jan. 6 'insurrection.'
That said, several groups have voiced their opposition to a specific domestic terrorism law - from civil liberties advocates to conservatives - who say that a new law is unnecessary, and could be used to violate the Constitutional rights of US citizens.

In March, the Biden DOJ directed US attorney's offices across the nation to notify DC headquarters about any investigations or cases related to domestic extremism, according to Weigmann, who added that the effort is intended to provide the DOJ with the ability to identify and internally track investigations and prosecutions involving the threat.

Perhaps the DOJ can find a way to stop all those 'white supremacists' from murdering hundreds of young black men in Chicago, which stands at 198 year-to-date, or the dozens upon dozens of attacks on Asians by these domestic terrorists.

Schiff: 'We Can't Ignore' That Some Of Trump's Base Are 'White Nationalist Domestic Terror Threat'

THURSDAY, APR 29, 2021 - 01:50 PM
On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden went on to say during his first joint address to Congress: "We won't ignore what our intelligence agencies have determined to be the most lethal terrorist threat to our homeland today: White supremacy is terrorism."

1619723510099.png
View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1387587205410000904
.42 min

Hours earlier, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) appeared on MSNBC's "Deadline," where he telegraphed Biden's comments - arguing that the predominant domestic threat faced by America comes from white nationalists, and that "some of the folks are part of the Trump base."

When asked by host Nicole Wallace if working on the intelligence committee is "different now that the intel chiefs testified to the tragic new reality that the gravest threats to the country are domestic violent extremists?"

Schiff responded: "It does affect the work of our committee certainly. I think all of the domestic agencies with a portfolio with domestic terrorism have to prioritize it like FBI and DHS. We have the responsibility of overseeing the intelligence component of that. We were already doing an investigation last year into politicization of intelligence at DHS where one whistleblower was alleging that instructions were being given essentially to downplay the seriousness of the domestic terror committed by white nationalists and hype the threat of Antifa."

He continued: "We saw that from Bill Barr and others in the leadership of the last administration. We just had a hearing on this subject. I can tell you one of the ongoing challenges is a lot of the Republican members didn’t think that our committee or the intelligence agencies, even those like the FBI and DHS with responsibility here, should be looking at this. That’s quite remarkable. You know, if we were looking at the threat of Islamic terror, the threat from within there would be no reservation about that among my GOP colleagues. But they were very uncomfortable clearly with the FBI and DHS looking at the problem of white nationalism and domestic terror."

Wallace then said: "I was a member of the Republican Party in good standing after 9/11. I can’t fathom the Republicans having that hear no evil, see no evil do nothing about the response to 9/11. You are right. When the threat was foreign terrorism, there was not enough that they could do. There was no measure too aggressive. My question is, can you protect this country with one of the two major political parties refusing to recognize the threat?"

To which Schiff replied: "We ought to be able to find common ground that the predominant terrorism threat facing the country right now is a domestic threat.

The predominant part of that domestic threat is white nationalist threat.

That has international, transnational links as well. We can’t ignore that because of a political sensitivity that some of the folks are part of the Trump base. So I hope we can find common ground. We need to make sure we protect the country."

ACLU-Led Coalition Warns Biden Administration Against Menthol Ban, Citing "Racial Justice Implications"

THURSDAY, APR 29, 2021 - 11:55 AM
Authored by Zachary Stieber via The Epoch Times,
A coalition led by the American Civil Liberties Union is urging the Biden administration not to ban menthol cigarettes.
Such a ban would “have serious racial justice implications” and would “trigger criminal penalties, which will disproportionately impact people of color, as well as prioritize criminalization over public health and harm reduction,” the coalition wrote in a letter this week to Health Secretary Xavier Becerra and acting Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Janet Woodcock.
“A ban will also lead to unconstitutional policing and other negative interactions with local law enforcement,” they added.
The White House, the Department of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) did not respond to requests for comment.

The federal government is responding to a citizen’s petition. Groups including the African American Tobacco Control Leadership Council and the American Academy of Pediatrics in the petition asked the FDA to “remove menthol cigarettes from the market.”

The groups praised the move in 2009 by members of Congress to ban flavored cigarettes but noted that menthol cigarettes, which have a mint flavor, were excluded from the prohibition.

The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act enables the FDA to ban menthol.

Petitioners said tobacco use remains a leading cause of preventable death and disease in the United States and that surveys indicate about half of youth smokers smoke menthol cigarettes, a higher percentage than adult smokers.
“Prohibiting menthol in cigarettes is perhaps the single most powerful measure readily available to the FDA to improve America’s health,” the groups wrote.
The House of Representatives last year passed a bill that would prohibit menthol cigarettes but it was not brought to a vote in the Senate. Several states have passed menthol bans.

During the Trump administration, the FDA was considering a ban on menthol cigarettes. Scott Gottlieb, the agency’s commissioner at the time, said in a statement that “menthol serves to mask some of the unattractive features of smoking that might otherwise discourage a child from smoking,” and that “menthol products disproportionately and adversely affect underserved communities.”

The FDA ended up banning flavored e-cigarette products, but not taking action on menthol e-cigarettes or cigarettes.

According to federal data, most African American youth who smoke use menthol, while African American adults have the highest percentage of menthol use compared to other populations.

Menthols are believed to be more harmful than regular cigarettes because menthol makes harmful chemicals more easily absorbed in the body, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Tobacco companies oppose the reported ban.
“We share the common goal of moving adult smokers from cigarettes to potentially less harmful alternatives, but prohibition does not work,” Steven Callahan, a spokesman for Altria, which owns Philip Morris, told the New York Times. “A far better approach is to support the establishment of a marketplace of FDA-authorized non-combustible alternatives that are attractive to adult smokers.”

Keep pushing and it will most absolutely come to fruition..a self fulfilling prophecy!!!....and when it does it absolutely will not stop until the freaking job is finished

Dems Push Military Inequity Commission ‘Educating Public’ On Discrimination, ‘Apologizing’ To Minorities.
inequity
House Democrats introduced a bill to study “inequity” among LGBTQ servicemembers and veterans, creating a commission to advise the government on how to best “apologize” and “educate the American public about institutionalized and government-sanctioned discrimination.”

The bill, introduced by Representatives Mark Takano and Anthony Brown, would establish a 16-person commission to “study the stigmatization, criminalization, and ongoing exclusion and inequity for LGBTQ servicemembers and veterans.”

Broadly, the commission would “identify and compile a corpus of information about the history of military policy regarding homosexuality, from 1778 onward.”

The bill requires the commission to “hold public hearings” in cities across America where LGBTQ members of the Armed Forces and veterans can divulge “their experiences.” The commission would also advise on how “the government may offer an apology for enforcing discrimination that led to psychological, emotional, and physical harm” and “recommend appropriate ways to educate the American public about institutionalized and government-sanctioned discrimination.”

“Diversity and Inclusion policies of the Department of Defense may be revised, and how resources may be committed to diversity training,” the bill also adds before calling for “the service of LGBTQ individuals in the Armed Forces [to] be made more visible in materials distributed by the Secretaries of Defense and Veterans Affairs.”

Steve Deace on lockdown passivity: 'A culture has to be conditioned to be this compliant'

"COVID is not an outlier, it is an omen," the activist/talk show host warned.

Conservatives need to understand the true state of American society that the COVID-19 pandemic exposed and what they can do about it, says Steve Deace, coauthor of "Faucian Bargain: The Most Powerful and Dangerous Bureaucrat in American History."

"You got to be honest about the state of many of our countrymen, that COVID isn't a paradigm shift, it's a harvest, that a culture has to be conditioned to be this compliant, instantaneously," Deace explained on the John Solomon Reports podcast. "And that this didn't happen overnight."

"And a lot of the things we've been just kind of esoterically or philosophically warning about, stuff like you keep threatening to give these schools over to these leftists, and sooner or later, you know, you'll raise a generation that desires to be subservient wards of the state," continued Deace, host of "The Steve Deace Show" on BlazeTV.

"Well, those sorts of things we used to warn about in white papers and in D.C., or columns in The Washington Times. They're in here now. They're the reality — pardon the pun — they're our new normal now. Okay? And so we have to deal with the reality that a lot of our countrymen were conditioned here to immediately bow the knee to the state."

Another lesson conservatives need to understand is that the culture wars have become personal.

"COVID is not an outlier, it is an omen," Deace said. "You know, we've had a lot of very divisive culture war issues in America, I certainly have very strong opinions on those issues. But as strong as our opinions were ... each side had a cable news program, each side has a favorite university, or publications. But, in the end, we could largely live together because it wasn't personal."

While he is very pro-life, unless the issue "becomes personal," he and a pro-choice neighbor are not "blowing up our neighborhood in an argument about it," he explained. "That's about to change. Because what we showed the nihilistic spirit of the age that really wants to undo Western civilization, is that if you really want to unravel this thing and make it personal, the issue that we will let you personalize is our health.

"Anthony Fauci on CNN talked about gun violence, a public health issue. Two weeks ago, the head of CDC ... she talked about insufficient wokeism is now a public health issue. They're going to make everything a public health issue, because look what it's done."

The last lesson that conservatives have to learn, Deace said, is to get involved in politics and be militant in federalism.

"We need an intense level of militant federalism from our elected officials, like we're just seeing Ron DeSantis do, where he's not just upholding Florida law and tradition, practicing the Founding Fathers' tradition of interposition. He is literally placing his office between the people of Florida and Washington, D.C. to defend them."

"We need more of that level of militant — and you're gonna need it on a local level. And if you're in a blue state, you might be in a red district or a red county, your board of supervisors, your mayor, you know, your city council ... they interposition themselves between you" and the state governor, Deace said.

He added, "But then, individually — our people hate this, they want to live their lives, and I get it — I do, too. But on a personal level now, we have to practice a certain level of intense activism now to salvage our country for the future for the kids. Meaning that you have to be the one to run for school board, now — you have to do it. You have to run for legislature, now, you've got to run for Board of Supervisors now. You can't just outsource that and farm it out to the system, or the Republican Party, you have to make sure that someone — that people are holding those positions that share your convictions, one way to make sure that happens is for it to be you."

Rocker Johnny Rotten Says U.S. Collapsing Under Biden: Democrats Wokeness Causing ‘The Destruction of America’

Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten tore into the Democratic Party and said the “collapse” of America is happening because of Joe Biden’s “nonsense.”

“You have a Democrat party that doesn’t respect anything but the latest woke fashion trend and that’s to the destruction of America,” Rotten told the UK Times in a recent interview. Born Johnny Lydon in Britain, Rotten, became American citizen in 2013.

Speaking bluntly of Joe Biden, the “Anarchy in the UK” singer said “I’m watching America now collapse because of the Biden nonsense.”

Lyndon scoffed at the Democrat and “mainstream media” accusation that the GOP is the party of “rednecks.” Especially in the era of Trump, Republicans are “regular working people,” and not the “redneck, toting, moronic race haters” that liberals claim,” Lydon said.

“They’re Donald Trump supporters. They work hard for their families, and they want to be respected. People have been so misled into hating a human being — Trump — just on the whim of the media,” Rotten told the outlet. “Four solid years of CNN hatred has done a lot of damage to this country. He’s not a politician and why should he be; we’ve all had enough of politicians.”

Last year, Lydon proudly noted that he intended to vote for Donald Trump for president.

“He’s an individual thinker, I’ll give him that for a start,” Lydon said of Trump last October. “He’s not the most lovable fellow on God’s earth, but I cannot see the opposition as offering me anything by way of a solution.”

“Yes, of course, I’m voting for Trump,” Lydon added. “It’s bad person or not. I don’t want a politician running this world anymore.”

Lydon also slammed the media for characterizing Trump as a racist.

“What I dislike is the left-wing media in America are trying to smear the bloke as a racist, and that’s completely not true,” he added. “He’s a total cat amongst the pigeons … [He’s] got everybody now involving themselves in a political way. And I’ve been struggling for years to get people to wake up and do that.”

EXCLUSIVE: San Diego critical race theory training depicts GOP as racist

by Tori Richards, Investigative Reporter |
| April 29, 2021 10:26 AM

SAN DIEGO — San Diego County subjected hundreds of staff to race relations training that depicted the Republican Party as racist.

More than 400 healthcare workers participated in a three-day online critical race theory class that depicted the United States as a racist nation with “white supremacy codified into our nation.” The Washington Examiner reviewed the 82-slide PowerPoint presentation along with the contract that paid $25,050 to instructor Reginald Caldwell, described in the document as “an experienced facilitator with expertise in this area.”

The presentation included a photograph of a recent rally where people were holding American flags and a sign that said, “Republicans United for Peace and Prosperity.” The photo was placed next to an image of a Ku Klux Klan rally and underneath photos of racist Jim Crow-era signs and a swath of Confederate flags. The four images were on the third page in a series with headlines that said, “Racism started when the puritans landed in America,” “Our ‘Founding Fathers,’” and “…and it CONTINUED AND CONTINUES.”

Hans von Spakovsky, a Heritage Foundation senior legal fellow who worked on tort reform and civil justice issues in the private sector for more than a decade, told the Washington Examiner that the content was not only "racist stereotyping" but may also have violated a federal law prohibiting engaging in political activity while on the job at a government entity.

“Apart from the absolutely horrendous racist stereotyping that this training is just completely full of, to the extent that any such training engages in partisan attacks, if they are getting federal funding this is a violation of the Hatch Act," he said.

The Hatch Act prohibits on-the-job partisan expenditures and activities by federal employees or agencies and, by extension, municipalities that receive federal funding. The county of San Diego receives hundreds of millions of dollars in federal healthcare funding on a continuous basis, including $388 million last year for the COVID-19 vaccination and treatment campaign.

“This is partisan activity. This training is full of racism, and they can’t even get basic facts right,” von Spakovsky said. “I am shocked at this kind of racist stereotype training is being conducted. It is no different than the type of things we were being taught in the 1920s. All they did is reverse the races.”

Racism training.jpg

The county’s training is a thinly veiled message that Republicans are bad, said Shawn Steel, a Republican National Committee chairman from California.

“You shouldn’t vote Republican because they are a bunch of racists,” he said of the message. “It opens up the county to a harassment lawsuit, and it’s a hostile work environment. Any employee could sue the county for racial tensions.”

Although the training was targeted to the county’s Health & Human Services Agency, only a few of the slides were geared toward health. One slide states:
"White Privilege in Motherhood Looks Like:
· Being offered pain medication
· No one asking who the father is
· People not judging your financial status"

Some slides made political statements such as “Black Lives Matter” and contained a photograph of a George Floyd memorial. Most, however, had statements such as America “created a hierarchy with all whites at the top” or some variation.

Racism training2.jpg

One slide said: “If you are descendant of enslavers, if you are the descendant of colonizers, if you are the descendant of those who have caused massive harm, your assignment, your ancestral task is to heal your ancestral line.”

San Diego County spokeswoman Sarah Sweeney said the contract was funded by the Kresge Foundation, and “no funds from any other source were utilized.”

The Kresge Foundation has expressed concerns that racism is a barrier toward obtaining quality healthcare for all. Sweeney also said the photo with the Republican sign was not a Republican rally but was rather lifted from a Wall Street Journal article about extremist groups. The people in the photo were attending a reopen Michigan rally on April 30 to protest a yearlong lockdown.

"This was an optional training for employees, so all who attended elected to take it," Sweeney added.

Carl DeMaio, chairman of the populist Reform California PAC, which is actively working to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom, spoke to a county employee who attended the hearing.

"When your job tells you to attend a training, it's inferred that it is mandatory," DeMaio said. "I think they are just trying to get out of this. As for the photograph, why not use a picture of antifa burning down one of the many black businesses in Minneapolis last summer?"

Racism training3.jpg

The same employee later told the Washington Examiner that the training was required and called it offensive.

“Reggie explains in the class that, ‘Only white people can be racist, no other BIPOC’s (Black, Indian, and people of color) can be racist,’” the employee said.

Critical race theory started as a movement in the 1980s and posits that the law and legal institutions are inherently racist and something white people use to their advantage, according to Britannica. Training for the concept has been expanding across the country, including in the federal government and in schools.

America Is Exceptionally... Kleptocratic

THURSDAY, APR 29, 2021 - 04:31 PM
Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,

The sheer weight of this outlandish asymmetry of wealth and power is pulling the nation into disorder.

The U.S. Constitution doesn't address a small elite owning most of the nation's private wealth and using a sliver of that wealth to influence the federal government so their wealth and political power increase in a self-reinforcing feedback: as a result of their campaign contributions and lobbying, the elites' wealth continues expanding, enhancing their political power to further expand their wealth, and so on.

This financial and political dominance is thus perfectly legal. As Bastiat's famous quote puts it:
"When plunder becomes a way of life for a group of men in a society, over the course of time they create for themselves a legal system that authorizes it and a moral code that glorifies it."
This legalized looting has now reached such absurd extremes that kleptocracy no longer does justice as a descriptor of the U.S. Consider this excerpt from Monopoly Versus Democracy (Foreign Affairs):
Like their forebears in the early twentieth century, today's Americans have experienced decades of growing inequality and increasing concentrations of wealth and power. The last decade alone witnessed nearly 500,000 corporate mergers worldwide. Ten percent of Americans now control 97 percent of all capital income in the country. Nearly half of the new income generated since the global financial crisis of 2008 has gone to the wealthiest one percent of U.S. citizens. The richest three Americans collectively have more wealth than the poorest 160 million Americans. (emphasis added.)
If you read that three kleptocrats held more wealth than half the residents of Lower Slobovia, that the top 0.1% own more wealth than the bottom 80% and that a near-zero 3% of all income flowing from capital trickled down to the bottom 90%, what would you think about wealth/power asymmetry in Lower Slobovia?

We now know what American Exceptionalism really means: exceptionally kleptocratic. Even as private wealth soared to unprecedented heights in the past decade of Federal Reserve largesse (endless trillions for financiers and too-big-to-jail speculators), the percentage of stocks owned by the fortunate class of the 90% to 99% fell from 39% to 35% and the percentage owned by the bottom 50% slipped to 0.6%. (Data from the Federal Reserve's FRED database)

Now there are rumblings in Washington D.C. about closing tax loopholes for corporations, which scoop 15% of the nation's GDP as profits. This is certainly very pretty political theater, but please let me know when you and I can rent a post office box in Ireland and pay no federal income taxes, while corporations are paying the total federal tax rates we pay (40+%) with 15.3% self-employment tax, 3.9% supplemental Medicare tax, etc.

The sheer weight of this outlandish asymmetry of wealth and power is pulling the nation into disorder. There are no legal or political limits on private wealth and political power, and the politicians that depend on the wealthy to fund their re-election campaigns have demonstrably little interest in harming the geese that lay their golden eggs.

The super-wealthy and Corporate America reckon that they can suppress any resistance to their dominance with virtue-signaling and political suppression, but they must have flunked history: when the bottom 90% own effectively zero income-producing capital and no political voice, and even the top 9.9% don't really have any real political power, then disorder of the uncontrollable variety arises to rebalance the extreme asymmetry.

Teacher Exposes Online Teaching Tool BrainPOP Pushing Leftist Ideologies On Children

By The Scoop
Published April 29, 2021 at 8:05pm

Jonathan Koeppel is a Spanish teacher who exposed an online teaching tool for children called “BrainPOP” that pushes leftist ideologies like “Critical Race Theory.”

CORRECTION: Koeppel is still a teacher at St. Tammany Parish District where the board meeting took place. Koeppel stated he used to work in the St. Bernard district but they never took him off their page until this video started to go viral.

St. Bernard district has no involvement with this school board meeting.

The Louisiana teacher appeared before the school board members at St. Tammany Parish to present how the app talks about racism.

The first played video from the app said, “Racism in our society: a built-in system of bias that makes life easier for white people and more difficult for black people and other people of color. It puts them at greater risk for poverty, unemployment, and disease. Structural racism is a factor in some disturbing trends. Black people are nearly six times more likely than whites to be imprisoned, and black men are killed by police more than twice the rate of white men.”

After playing the first video, Koeppel said the app is telling kids, especially black children that they are oppressed by white people and how there’s a system stopping them from having a chance.

“Evil and disgusting stuff in school programs by left wing companies. This is one example, there are many! It’s not just in California, it’s in our own backyards – St Tammany Parish, La. get involved in your community and speak up, be brave,” Koeppel wrote to Facebook when he first posted the video to get his message out early April.

The video started to gain popularity on TikTok which only showed a minute of Koeppels speech slamming the childrens app.

“And some individuals prefer they as a pronoun, like Neat, Orbot. They are my best friends,” is what played from the app discussing pronouns.

We got kids that can’t read and write and then we’re going to teach them incorrect grammar. I mean, it’s ridiculous. OK, who gave permission to talk about this? There’s two genders. If you’re born with a penis and you have testicles , that’s just anatomy. You’re a male. If you have a vagina and ovaries you’re a female. A man cannot menstruate. A man cannot lactate and breastfeed a child.

You cannot give birth if you’re a man. If you want to be an adult and do whatever you want with your life, I’m OK with that. Don’t push this ideology on children,” Koeppel stated.

“I’m not going to work in a district that’s OK with that. You need to make a clear statement on how many genders are there, because parents, they’re already pulling kids out of public school. They’re doing homeschool options. They’re going online. It’s going to increase as this liberal ideology comes into our schools. This isn’t a political indoctrination camp, OK? It’s public education,” Koeppel said in the short clip.

NEW: Biden Justice Department Weighing Domestic Terrorism Law to Target ‘White Supremacists’

By Cristina Laila
Published April 29, 2021 at 2:02pm
IMG_0560.jpg
US Attorney General Merrick Garland

The Biden Justice Department is “actively considering” whether to give prosecutors new authorities to bring specific charges against “domestic terrorists.”

“One of the things we’re looking at is would we need new authorities,” Brad Wiegmann, deputy assistant attorney general for the department’s national security division, said Thursday.

Because the current laws on the books to bring charges for arson, violations of weapons or explosives laws isn’t enough.

The reality is the DOJ is looking to make new laws to persecute people with whom they politically disagree.

The Justice Department did not mention BLM terrorists or Antifa terrorists; they are focused on so-called “white supremacists” – which is just code for Trump supporters/conservatives.

The FBI said white supremacists pose the most lethal threat despite the fact that BLM and Antifa have caused billions in damage, killed dozens of people and burned countless buildings to the ground over the last year.

Bloomberg reported that Wiegmann told a House Appropriations subcommittee that the one question the DOJ is wrestling with is: “Are there gaps?”

“Is there some type of conduct that we can envision that we can’t cover or would it be an otherwise benefit in having something else other than what we’re having now?” Wiegmann said, admitting the DOJ is looking to politically persecute conservatives.

“Currently, no U.S. law lets the government designate domestic extremists as terrorists or bring specific charges for domestic terrorism. That contrasts with laws to combat international terrorism, which allow the government to designate groups and bring charges for providing those groups with material support.” Bloomberg reported.

“This is a cancer on our country,” said Rep. Matt Cartwright (D-PA), chairman of the subcommittee. “Right-wing extremist attacks and plots have greatly outnumbered those from all other groups combined and caused more deaths as well.”

Again, no mention of BLM or Antifa terrorists and no mention of black on black violence that kills hundreds of blacks every year in Chicago.

Not a word about blacks attacking Asians. The Biden regime is specifically hunting down white people.

Dem State Rep Targets Veterans With Proposal To Strip Them Of Earned Benefits If Government Labels Them “Domestic Terrorists”

By Patty McMurray
Published April 30, 2021 at 7:30am

100 Percent Fed Up – Michigan Democrat State Representative Sarah Anthony, whose district includes part of Lansing where protests at the state’s capital are commonplace, is worried about the uptick of “incidents involving domestic terrorism over the last few years” and cites the January 6, 2021 protest at the US Capitol building as evidence.

As a way to get out ahead of any future incidents like the time American citizens entered the US Capitol on January 6—Anthony is proposing legislation that specifically targets US veterans.

The Democrat state representative isn’t targeting violent Black Lives Matter or Antifa activists who break into federal buildings and light them on fire. She’s not targeting the criminal BLM/Antifa activists who burned and looted several businesses in the city she represents on May 31, 2020, at the height of the Wuhan virus pandemic.

MI Rep. Anthony (D) is instead fighting to make sure Michigan’s US veterans who’ve served our nation don’t even think about taking part in a protest that might turn violent or consider joining a militia or group that might be perceived as anti-government. According to the Dem Rep., there is plenty of reason to believe veterans are being targeted to participate in organizations the Left has defined as “domestic terrorists.” If Rep. Anthony has her way, veterans will not only be charged and prosecuted like everyday civilians, but as an added bonus, they’ll also be stripped of state-administered benefits they earned when they honorably served our nation.

Screen-Shot-2021-04-27-at-5.48.11-PM-740x374.png

In her memo to MI House colleagues today, Anthony wrote:

This week, I will have a blueback available at my desk (seat #71) to preclude veterans from receiving state administered benefits if they are convicted of a domestic terrorism offense.
We have seen a significant uptick in incidents involving domestic terrorism over the last few years, including several threats and planned attacks against state-level elected officials in Michigan. Last month, FBI Director Wray reported that the bureau’s domestic terrorism caseload has roughly doubled in the last year alone.
Fortunately, Michigan has been a leader in counterterrorism efforts, with clear laws regulating and prosecuting acts of terrorism against the state. The Michigan Anti-Terrorism Act defines an act of terrorism as a willful and deliberate act that is intended to pose a danger to human life, intimidate or coerce a group or affect government action.
Violations of this act would be considered a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison. My bill would add language to the definition of veteran to clearly exclude those who violate the “Michigan anti-terrorism act” from receiving state-administered veteran benefits.
Counterterrorism and homeland security experts have said the most significant domestic terrorism threat facing our nation right now comes from racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists and self-styled militias, groups that often target veterans in recruitment. In the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th, 21 of the 150 people arrested for federal offenses were active military personnel and veterans, with recent reports showing more than 30 veterans charged for their role in the event. In light of these numbers, high ranking defense officials and policymakers have expressed a commitment to further engaging with active-duty military members and improving supports for veterans as they transition to civilian life; these efforts are aimed at ensuring military members and veterans are not targeted for radicalization or recruited by extremist groups.
The recent statistics are not only alarming from a public safety and homeland security standpoint, but also devastating to the reputation of our troops. I am grateful to have worked in tandem with the Michigan Military and Veterans Affairs Agency to develop this legislation. We will continue to work together to pass sound public policy that holds domestic terrorists accountable and ensures the unpatriotic and deplorable actions of a few bad actors do not tarnish the contributions of the thousands of Michiganders who honorably protect and serve our country.
There is a clear double standard in our nation, with Democrats and the Deep State stop codifying violent Black Lives Matter and Antifa rioters while blatantly placing a target on the backs of our veterans and law enforcement officers. How much longer will spineless Republicans in state and federal legislatures allow this trend to continue?

Viral Rant Demonstrates How Democrat Blood Libels Against White People Will Lead to Mass Slaughter
Apr 29, 2021

An important message is going viral on Twitter explaining how blood libels against white people will inevitably lead to racist violence in the future.

Podcast host Jack Murphy explained how the Democrats are setting up white people to be killed off en masse because of their reckless, racist and disgusting ideology:

1619808788899.png

Trump supporters are now getting placed on the federal no fly list for attending protests and engaging in peaceful activism. It is not difficult to see the writing on the wall:

1619808837533.png

Murphy explained how conservatives have lost the culture war and now all the snowflakes who they laughed at on college campuses dominate every aspect of society:

1619808872317.png

He used evidence to show that anti-white hatred is built into the DNA of modern woke leftism, and the intellectual foundation is being created for whites to be targeted with land collectivization policies similar to what has taken in place in South Africa and Zimbabwe:

1619808924747.png1619808971390.png

Big League Politics has reported on how black nationalism took hold in South Africa, and then the country was “liberated” into becoming the rape and murder capital of the world where a genocide is being perpetrated against whites:

The mainstream press is once again silent after the president of a socialist South African political party called for the deaths of white people.

“You kill one of us, we kill five white people,” shouted Andile Mngxitama at a Saturday rally where he called for revolution. “We kill their children, we kill their women, we kill their dogs, we kill their cats, we kill anything we find in our way.”
Mngxitama is the president of South Africa’s socialist Black First Land First Party (BFL)…

After facing intense public backlash, BFL and Mngxitama were forced to walk back the statement. According to Lindsay Maasdorp, spokesperson for the BFL, Mngxitama was talking about killing whites in self-defense.

In August, members of South Africa’s radical left Economic Freedom Fighter party were filmed chanting “white men must die.”

Mngxitama’s is another in a series of calls for the deaths of white people in South Africa, which is on the brink of a civil war, that has gone unreported by Western press. In fact, the media has clutched its pearls, claiming that calls for the genocide of whites in South Africa are a white supremacist dog-whistle perpetuated by President Donald J. Trump
.”

Murphy is not kidding. If Americans do not have the courage to stand united to crush the leftist threat, white people and Western Civilization will inevitably be targeted by the new diverse majority emboldened to be violent and entitled by globalist propaganda.

Churchill Downs confirmed today that My Old Kentucky Home, which has been played before the Kentucky Derby every year since 1921, will be performed on Saturday.

The Left are out in full throat this week, attempting to axe the traditional ballad because it ‘uses controversial language toward black people.’

Rep. Matt Gaetz Leads Effort to End U.S.P.S. Social Media Spying on Conservative Dissidents
Apr 30, 2021

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) is leading a Congressional effort to eliminate Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP), the illegal clandestine Big Brother social media spying program put into place by the U.S. Postal Service (U.S.P.S).
“The Postal Service should deliver the mail on time and on budget. They shouldn’t have a covert surveillance program to monitor social media political behavior, protected by our cherished Constitution. As the dangers of government surveillance and targeting become ever the more clear, especially to conservatives, Congress must immediately abolish this program,” Gaetz said.

Gaetz is joined in support of the measure by House Freedom Caucus leader Andy Biggs of Arizona, Ken Buck of Colorado, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, Tim Burchett of Tennessee, Paul Gosar of Arizona, Louie Gohmert of Texas, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Greg Steube of Florida, and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.

No Democrats have signed onto the bill, showing that they are the party of Orwellian repression that is at war with the Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Last week, House Committee on Oversight and Reform Ranking Member James Comer (R-KY) and House Judiciary Committee Ranking Member Jim Jordan (R-OH) issued a letter with 30 other Republican legislators to demand a briefing on the iCOP program.

“If the reporting is accurate, iCOP raises serious questions about the federal government’s ongoing surveillance of and encroachment upon Americans’ private lives and discourse,” the letter stated.

“It is unclear why USPS, of all government agencies and the only one devoted to the delivery of Americans’ mail, is taking on the role of intelligence collection.

The type of general review of social media alleged in the reporting does not indicate that the posts reviewed by iCOP are related to the protection and security of USPS, its postal routes, its employees, or the mail generally,” the letter continued.

The Republicans added: “As Geoffrey Stone of the University of Chicago Law School said, ‘I don’t understand why the government would go to the Postal Service for examining the internet for security issues.’ We agree.”

Big League Politics reported on the iCOP program as the Biden regime removes any pretense that Americans have core fundamental rights:

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is running a social media spying campaign to track protests on behalf of Big Brother.

Yahoo News obtained a document exposing the Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) run out of the USPS. This program employs USPS agents to trawl through social media posts, flagging certain posts as problematic, and then sharing the information with other federal bureaucrats.

“Analysts with the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) monitored significant activity regarding planned protests occurring internationally and domestically on March 20, 2021,” the March 16 government bulletin states, which has been called “law enforcement sensitive” and issued to the Department of Homeland Security’s fusion centers.

“Locations and times have been identified for these protests, which are being distributed online across multiple social media platforms, to include right-wing leaning Parler and Telegram accounts,” the bulletin added.

USPS has targeted alternative social media platforms to spread propaganda about these entities that may help facilitate a future crackdown.

“Parler users have commented about their intent to use the rallies to engage in violence. Image 3 on the right is a screenshot from Parler indicating two users discussing the event as an opportunity to engage in a ‘fight’ and to ‘do serious damage,’” the bulletin stated. “No intelligence is available to suggest the legitimacy of these threats.”

No doubt liberals will be calling the iCOP program an example of democracy in action before long. Gaetz is demonstrating his worth by opposing this program.

Gov. Ron DeSantis says systemic racism is 'horse manure,' slams critical race theory as a 'race-based' Marxism
PAUL SACCA
April 30, 2021

Gov. Ron DeSantis left no doubt on his position on the hot button issues of systemic racism and critical race theory. The Republican governor of Florida dismissed systemic racism, while also ripping critical race theory.

DeSantis made the remarks during a Fox News town hall that aired Thursday night and was moderated by Laura Ingraham. The "Red State Trailblazers" town hall featured Republican governors who opened up their states, including DeSantis, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, Mississippi Gov. Tate Reeves, and Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts.

Ingraham asked DeSantis if he believed that the United States is a systemically racist country, to which he unabashedly replied, "Well, it's a bunch of horse manure. I mean, give me a break."

"This country has had more opportunity for more people than any country in the history of the world and it doesn't matter where you trace your ancestry from," DeSantis said during the town hall. "We've had people that have been able to succeed."

DeSantis then lampooned critical race theory.

"And here's the problem with things like critical race theory that they're peddling," DeSantis said. "They're basically saying all our institutions are bankrupt, and they're, they're illegitimate. How do you have a society if everything in your society is illegitimate?"

Last month, DeSantis pledged to purge critical race theory from Florida public schools because the CRT ideology isn't worth "one red cent of taxpayer money."

"Let me be clear, there's no room in our classrooms for things like critical race theory," DeSantis said. "Teaching kids to hate their country and to hate each other is not worth one red cent of taxpayer money. So we will invest in actual, solid, true curriculum and we will be a leader in the development and implementation of a world class civics education."

Also during the town hall, DeSantis was asked about protecting biological females by banning transgender athletes in sports.

"I have a 4-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old daughter, and they're very athletic," he said. "And we want to have opportunities for our girls. They deserve an even playing field. And that's what we're doing."

DeSantis vowed to sign the Fairness in Women's Sports Act, which would prohibit males from competing on women's school sports teams.

The Florida governor was proud of banning vaccine passports in his state.

"I'm proud to be the first I think, elected official in the country, certainly statewide or governor to say, we're not having vaccine passports in the State of Florida," DeSantis said. "And not just saying government can't make you, private businesses can't make you. Because here's the thing, you have a right to participate in society, without them asking you to divulge this type of health information, but just to go to a movie, just to go to a ballgame."

Earlier this week, former President Donald Trump expressed interest in running again in 2024, and he would "certainly" consider DeSantis as his running mate.

"He is a friend of mine. Certainly, Ron would be considered," Trump replied. "I endorsed Ron, and after I endorsed him, he took off like a rocket ship. He's done a great job as governor. They like that. I'm just saying what I read and you read. They love that ticket."

EXCLUSIVE ROGER STONE: The Political Weaponization of the US Justice System

By Joe Hoft
Published April 30, 2021 at 7:01pm
Roger-Stone-45-2.jpg

Guest post by Roger Stone

The Daily Beast has based their usual smear attempt on alleged text messages which are out of order, incomplete, edited, truncated, and out of context. I made no effort whatsoever to secure a pardon for Mr. Greenberg and I took not a dime from him or anyone else seeking a pardon. I have seen no substantiation or actual proof of any of the wild accusations he has made against Congressman Gaetz. Desperate men often tell lies in an effort to implicate others in their own crimes in an effort to lessen the penalties against themselves.

Just last week we saw the political weaponization of the US Justice Department under Joe Biden when the DOJ filed a civil suit against me for interest and penalties on taxes that I owed from 2007 and 2008 which I had paid down on a monthly basis for over three years. When will they be called suing Hunter Biden for his failure to pay taxes on the millions that he took in from Ukraine and China? Our two-tiered Justice system is so obvious

Now Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been subjected to the same kind of pre-dawn Gestapo style raid on his home and office that I was subjected to in 2019.

Giuliani had volunteered to supply all of his electronic devices and records to the FBI but they declined because it would not create the drama their allies in the fake news are so anxious to exploit. Their failure to seize the records from Hunter Biden’s laptop tells you everything you need to know about the current corruption of the Biden Justice Department.

(Roger Stone is under attack by the evil left but Roger Stone did nothing wrong. )

The American Right Is The New Target Of Washington's "War On Terror"

FRIDAY, APR 30, 2021 - 10:20 PM
Authored by Tho Bishop via The Mises Institute,

The security walls around the US Capitol may be removed, but the federal response to the January 6 protests has only just begun. The Democrats in Washington are determined to treat the incident as on par with the events of September 11, which may explain a troubling report about the potential use of the famed No Fly List.

Yesterday Nick Fuentes, a right-wing social media pundit who attended the January 6 protests in the capital, alleged that he has been placed on the federal no-fly list, preventing him from traveling to Florida for a political rally. While Mr. Fuentes shared on social media audio of an airline employee suggesting that his flying restriction did come from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), later that night Tucker Carlson informed his audience that his staff could neither confirm nor deny the report. While critics pointed to previous social media posts which documented his being removed from a plane for failing to comply with mask policies, Fuentes has noted that he had no problem flying to Washington in January.

It is unclear whether federal authorities will be in any rush to clarify the situation, but there is no reason not to assume that federal authorities would attempt to use this war on terror tool against political opponents. From its inception, what originally began as sixteen names federal authorities had connected to potential future terrorist attacks quickly grew to over 1 million. As is the case with other surveillance tools handed over to the deep state, there is very little oversight or due process involved in how federal authorities handle potential “terrorist threats.”

Since January there has been a concerted effort by Democrat leaders, former deep state officials, and America’s most despicable neoconservatives to push the Biden administration to utilize the power of the federal government against the supporters of Donald Trump. While the incidents at the Capitol on January 6 are used to justify these calls, the weaponization of federal power against political opponents goes back almost as long as the federal government itself. In more recent years, President Biden’s previous service in the White House saw a Democrat administration that used both the IRS and Department of Homeland Security to target conservatives.

Another reason to expect escalation from the Biden administration against vocal figures like Fuentes is the unique critique of the current regime from the right. The majority of Republican voters do not simply oppose President Biden due to politics, but flatly reject his democratic legitimacy.

As Murray Rothbard explained, it is precisely this sort of attack that the state fears most:
The increasing use of scientific jargon has permitted the State's intellectuals to weave obscurantist apologia for State rule that would have only met with derision by the populace of a simpler age. A robber who justified his theft by saying that he really helped his victims, by his spending giving a boost to retail trade, would find few converts; but when this theory is clothed in Keynesian equations and impressive references to the "multiplier effect," it unfortunately carries more conviction. And so the assault on common sense proceeds, each age performing the task in its own ways.
Thus, ideological support being vital to the State, it must unceasingly try to impress the public with its "legitimacy," to distinguish its activities from those of mere brigands….
The gravest crimes in the State's lexicon are almost invariably not invasions of private person or property, but dangers to its own contentment, for example, treason, desertion of a soldier to the enemy, failure to register for the draft, subversion and subversive conspiracy, assassination of rulers and such economic crimes against the State as counterfeiting its money or evasion of its income tax. Or compare the degree of zeal devoted to pursuing the man who assaults a policeman, with the attention that the State pays to the assault of an ordinary citizen. Yet, curiously, the State's openly assigned priority to its own defense against the public strikes few people as inconsistent with its presumed raison d'être.
This perspective explains the disproportionate treatment that mostly peaceful protesters at the Capitol in January have received in contrast to those arrested during riots in American cities throughout the past year. The state will always treat those who seriously threaten its perceived legitimacy with greater zeal than those guilty of simply destroying the livelihoods of its citizens.

This also highlights the self-defeating nature of the modern American conservative movement.

For decades now, the same political party that often gives lip service to “federalism” has often been the party directly responsible for the growth of federal power. As noted earlier, it took exactly one administration before the Department of Homeland Security, created by the Bush administration, began to target the very voters who elected him to office. It was just two election cycles before the PATRIOT Act was used to target a Republican presidential campaign.

The biggest question that now lies in American politics is whether conservatives are capable of learning from these examples. If the American right is capable of fully absorbing the reality that the greatest threat to their lives, liberty, and prosperity lies domestically—and not abroad—perhaps there is potential for a political rollback of the American empire.

If not, American conservatives will come to understand how little constitutional rights truly mean in the face of a hostile state.

OPINION
The Trojan Horse Presidency

BY CHRISTOPHER BARRON
APRIL 30, 2021 AT 10:34AM

On Wednesday night, President Joe Biden delivered his first address to a joint session of Congress. In the past, these addresses have been widely viewed events.

In 2017, 48 million Americans tuned in to watch President Donald J. Trump and in 2009, 52.3 million tuned in to watch President Barack Obama.

Joe Biden’s address barely registered compared to his predecessors. A paltry 22 million Americans bothered to tune in to watch Biden’s rainbows and unicorns policy agenda setting speech.

The most shocking thing about this isn’t that almost no one tuned in or could be bothered to even care about it, the most shocking thing is that absolutely no one is shocked.

Biden’s presidential campaign rallies were famous for almost no one attending them. In late October of 2020, Biden held a Georgia campaign “rally” (and here I am using the term in the most generous way possible) that was hilariously attended by a couple of dozen people.

1619848180874.png

The Georgia “rally” wasn’t the exception for Biden on the campaign trail, indeed it was the rule. Of course, that’s when Biden bothered to leave his basement in Delaware and campaign at all.

The entire Biden campaign was premised on keeping him hidden from voters and banking on an assist from the legacy media. An assist the media was all too happy to hand him, failing to press the candidate on any issue of note and making Biden the least vetted Presidential candidate of all time.

Since taking office, Biden has shrunk the visibility of the office of the presidency to a place of almost unthinkably small irrelevance. The bully pulpit of the White House now carries the same weight as words scrawled on the stall in a truck stop bathroom.

Conservatives should not take heart in Biden’s irrelevance. It’s not an accident, the left knows that their radical agenda cannot be implemented if the American people know what that agenda actually is.

The left wants Biden to seem harmless. Ignore him, go about your life, Grandpa Joe couldn’t possibly be trying to implement the most radical agenda of any president in the history of our country.

Except, that is exactly what Biden is doing.

1619848134845.png

The Biden presidency is the Trojan horse presidency. While Americans go about their days ignoring Biden and as the media acts more like Biden’s press team than the actual press – the Biden White House is actively pursuing and implementing a policy agenda more radical than any of us could have imagined.

Biden was sold to the country as a uniter, a competent – albeit incredibly old – Washington insider who had built a career as a mainstream Democrat. They sold Biden as a return to normalcy after the four years of Trump.

It was all a lie. A well-developed and well-executed lie, but a lie nonetheless.
As former Rep, Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) pointed out, the truth of the Biden presidency may come as a surprise to many Americans who voted for him based on the brand they were sold:
The policies of Biden and Harris must also come as a surprise to those who voted for the ticket hoping for some kind of reasonable middle ground. Instead, Biden has dispensed with his own long-held positions on abortion, court packing and the filibuster. And he has taken extreme positions on the Green New Deal, border security and the Second Amendment.
Conservatives have their work cut out for them if they hope to stop Biden’s radical agenda. We know the legacy media won’t hold him accountable and we know that Biden’s handlers will continue to sell him as some sort of centrist.

Even worse, now we know that Americans aren’t even paying attention.

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1388121523391803393
.30 min

To stop the Biden agenda we are going to have to first get Americans to understand that they should be paying attention. Every single Republican running for office needs to make stopping Biden’s radical agenda the centerpiece of their campaigns: from the Green New Deal, to billions is waste, to critical race theory, to efforts to end the filibuster, to court packing, to open borders, and on and on and on.

We can not be lulled into complacency by this administration. Biden isn’t boring and irrelevant by accident – it’s the plan and always has been.

Biden’s First Address to Congress – The Road to Serfdom

Biden’s First Address to Congress – The Road to Serfdom

Dennis Prager is known for saying, “The bigger the government, the smaller the citizen.” Our federal debt, $28 trillion ($85,000 per person), has reached a near unsustainable level at 107 percent of GDP. This is before the addition of Biden’s proposed new spending. The total tax bill for select individuals (federal plus state taxes) is nearing 60 percent. This is not freedom. This is serfdom. An estimated 44 percent of Americans do not pay federal taxes and 19 percent of Americans receive monthly welfare payments.

Biden is proposing trillions in new spending, higher taxes, and wants to further weaponize the IRS with an $80 billion budget increase. Biden’s 100-day spending spree totals $6 trillion: $1.8 trillion for the American Families Plan, $2.3 trillion for his American Jobs Plan, along with the $1.9 trillion Coronavirus Rescue Package passed along party lines in March.

In 1964, President Lyndon Johnson declared war on poverty. Since then, US taxpayers have spent $22 trillion on anti-poverty programs. Adjusted for inflation, this spending, which does not include Social Security or Medicare, is three times the cost of all military wars in U.S. history since the American Revolution. As late as 2014, the poverty rate was 14.8 percent, the same as it was in 1966. Total welfare costs have risen from $722 per person in poverty in 1964 to $22,740 per person in 2019. The poverty rate reached its lowest levels in 60 years during the Trump administration when it was reduced to 10.5 percent in 2019 which proved the adage that the best government program is a job.

American universities spend $33,000 per student, nearly two-times the world average, and $15,000 per K-12 student. PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) tests 15 years-old in 79 countries in mathematics, reading, and science. The PISA results from 2018 highlighted the fact that China scored No. 1 in all three categories. USA showed little improvement since 2000 placing 30th in math, 8th in reading, and 11th in science. The cost of US college education has grown at twice the inflation rate since 1986. Inflation adjusted K-12 spending per student has increased 280 percent since 1960.

Despite this abysmal performance, Biden proposes to throw more good money after bad by spending more on early and higher education. Effectively, Biden proposed a cradle-to-college government welfare program to increase American citizens’ dependence on government despite its historical failures. First published in 1944, F.A. Hayek, recipient of the Medal of Freedom and the Nobel Prize in economics, wrote The Road to Serfdom. A perennial best seller, Hayek posited that the collectivist idea of empowering government with increasing economic control would inevitably lead not to a utopia but to the horrors of Nazi Germany and fascist Italy. The Left and Democrats argue in favor of collectivism (socialism and communism) despite its failure in every country it has been attempted. In his first 100 days and during his address to Congress, Biden has fully adopted, brazenly proposed, and enthusiastically endorsed the socialist agenda. Margaret Thatcher already predicted the fundamental flaw with Biden’s policies, proposals, and programs when she said, “The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people’s money.”

Biden pitched and peddled other progressive fantasy agenda items: gun control, immigration reform, $15 minimum wage, and federalized elections. Even the visual of the address was off message. The audience was entirely masked and socially distanced which did not reflect the fact that all members of Congress have already been vaccinated and is counter to the CDC’s revised guidelines; more anti-science and confusing medical theatre.

The big lie of the night is that these trillion-dollar programs are all paid for; it’s essentially free. In summary, a 60 years-old liberal wish list delivered by a 78-year-old president who has accomplished little despite his 40 plus years in DC; more spending, higher taxes, and increased federal economic control of our lives.
Translation: The road to serfdom.

'The 1619 Project' and the Red Meat Project
By R. Emmett Tyrrell
April 29, 2021 5 Min Read

Washington — According to the Washington Times — also known as the Good Times — last week, the Biden administration made plans "to offer grants for U.S. history classes that teach critical race theory and the '1619 Project,'" which is a confection of The New York Times. Both critical race theory and "The 1619 Project" are based on the fundamental insight that slavery is, according to the Washington Times, "the centerpiece of the American narrative."

Now, there is not much a historian can say about people living in forced servitude for roughly 246 years beyond that it was one of the gravest injustices in human history. Slavery was wrong when it was practiced here, and it took the Civil War to eliminate it. It has been wrong when it has been practiced in other countries, and it has been practiced in many other countries. Finally, it will be wrong if it is ever tried again, and I believe it has been tried again. Consider the plight of Uyghurs in China.

Of course, there is another problem with critical race theory and "The 1619 Project." They are based on fantasies. They are based on such exaggerations as the argument for "systemic racism." The presidency of Barack Obama proved systemic racism is an exaggeration, as does the presence of Black people in both political parties at pretty high levels.

Yet, if slavery has been "the centerpiece" of the American narrative, I think we can argue that red meat has been even more "the centerpiece" of the American narrative. In fact, red meat was essential to the diet of Americans even before 1619. Actually, wars have been fought because of a shortage of red meat. I think a case can be made for arguing that the Native Americans were pushed out of the Old Northwest because of a shortage of red meat. In fact, it would not be too much to say that "you are what you eat," and millions of Americans gorge themselves on red meat every day. Consider the menu at McDonald's and its competitors. Who could gainsay that, today, an awful lot of Americans are walking around carrying huge quantities of meat hanging from them?

Let us give up this divisive talk about an institution that most Americans rejected 156 years ago and begin a more productive effort to erase the vestiges of racism and bigotry. Let us attempt to eliminate educational failure in our schools. Let us go back to a system of schooling that was led by a former slave, Booker T. Washington, a founder of Tuskegee Institute, and his Jewish friend, Julius Rosenwald, the immensely wealthy head of Sears, Roebuck and Co., which, in the early days of the 20th century, he helped turn into the world's largest retailer.

Working together, the educator, Washington, and the businessman, Rosenwald, created 4,978 schools throughout the South and the border states, of which 500 survive.

These two men created an educational and philanthropical miracle that helped generations of Black people. According to The Wall Street Journal's weekend edition, "The Rosenwald schools program was a watershed moment in the history of philanthropy, and not only because of its mission, scope and impact. It was also an early example of challenge grants, public-private partnership and a benefactor mandating that all funds be expended within a set period after his death." Young Blacks such as Medgar Evers, Maya Angelou and Rep. John Lewis were among its graduates. Yet the names Rosenwald and Washington have been lost in the shifting currents of history. It is time to rediscover them and exactly what made their educational systems work.

Some weeks ago, I mentioned in this space an old coach of mine, Tony Lawless, who, from his ethnically diverse high school, lectured the Irish boys, the Italian boys, the Polish boys and maybe a few Blacks and WASPS to forget their grandparents. By which he meant to tells us to forget our grandparents' feuds with their neighbors and get on with life in peace. People who dwell on grievances are going to dwell on grievances for the rest of their lives.

People who advocate a racially based curriculum are not teaching peace but a long line of complaints that can only increase hostility among the citizenry.

Arguing that slavery is the centerpiece of American history is as absurd as arguing that red meat is the centerpiece of American history. The centerpiece of American history is the maintenance of freedom, and people that argue otherwise are in danger of losing their freedom.

CAUGHT ON TAPE: Teacher Fired For Refusing to Indoctrinate Students Records ‘Woke’ Principal Admitting Curriculum Demonizes White Students (AUDIO)

A math teacher was “relieved of his duties” after he refused to indoctrinate students with toxic Critical Race Theory-based curriculum at Grace Church School in New York City.

Paul Rossi recorded the ‘woke’ principal of Grace Church School admitting the curriculum “demonizes” white students “for being born” and makes white kids “feel less than, for nothing that they are personally responsible for.”

George Davidson, the head of the school, denies the claims, but Paul Rossi recorded him and the tape doesn’t lie.

Paul Rossi cares about children so he decided to go public and blow the whistle on the child abuse disguised as Critical Race Theory.

George Davidson’s admission that white children at his school are being abused is just stunning.
