Neither here nor there.
It gets to bre that time of life for all of us eventually.

This^^^ I decided, and quite abruptly, to go home for my 40th HS class reunion this year, everyone is dropping like flies. So it'll be a combined trip of seeing certain family members and some old friends from HS. With everything that's going on the world, and the threat of $7 gallon gas, I may never have this chance to see them ever again.

day late

money? whats that?
I always liked the bit of poetry at the end of 'Nights in White Satin".

'Breathe deep, the gathering gloom,
Watch lights fade from every room.
Bedsitter people look back and lament
Another day's useless energy spent
Impassioned lovers wrestle as one
Lonely man cries for love and has none
New mother picks up and suckles her son
Senior citizens wish they were young
Cold-hearted orb that rules the night
Removes the colours from our sight
Red is grey and yellow, white
But we decide which is right
And which is an illusion.'

One of my most favorite groups.

My favorite song was Tuesday Afternoon. My favorite album was 'To Our Children's, Children's, Children'

In my view, a truly fabulous group. Visionary in their music, arrangements, and lyrics. And extremely talented.

Finally not a lurker!
When the music plays,
When the words are touched with sorrow,
When the music plays,
I hear the sound I had to follow...

I was a late comer to the Moody Blues. "Your Wildest Dreams" struck a very deep chord within me. Missed out twice on seeing them at Jones Beach Theater because I had Reserve duty- when the music played, I heard the sound I had to follow...

I have the video of their concert at Red Rocks (CO) and at least one greatest hits CD. Haunting music and vocals that will live on.
The wife and I had tickets back ‘12 or so for Red Rocks. We lived in Albuquerque but we were closing on our house the same day. We had to give them to a friend of ours that lived there.

He sent us pictures of who they sat by and the stage, all in good fun.
All I got was a t-shirt from them.
My wife high school graduation ceremony was at Red Rocks.

I saw them in Salt Lake City in 1972. The Dobbie Brothers opened for them. A kick ass concert for sure. I borrowed my Dad's 35mm camera. He told me to go buy some 400 speed color film. He showed me to open the aperture up, and set a low shutter speed. He said to brace the camera as best I could, and don't move. The slides came out with really cool colors, but the resolution sucked. You couldn't make out the band members faces all that good, even with a lens doubler attachment.

Excellent.

When my husband and I got married in 1982, the guy in the back duplex next to us played their albums every night and played his piano at the same time. He had quite a pile of old beer cans in the back yard. Never knew his name, but we appreciated the free “concerts”. My favorite song was “Your Wildest Dreams”. I thought the poem after “Nights” really wasn’t needed and didn’t add to the song. But that’s just me.
