Sitting up in recliner at the moment.

They must be giving you really good drugs! After my surgery for a busted pelvis I was in even more pain and as long as I did not move or cough I was Ok but cough and man did that hurt.

Try a fractured sternum. He'll sort of fit within that range.

I'm very aware of that as with most bypass surgery's they pry your chest open, not fun afterwards.
