Enjoyed his movies as a kid. His son wasn’t bad either...until he felt the need to inject himself into political matters. Am I misremembering that? Don’t want to cast aspersions.

I thought he was cute when I was a kid. You're not wrong, his son is Michael Douglas.

Seems to me I remember readin' about him bein' in the Navy and smugglin' a Vespa aboardd a ship in Italy. It ended up goin' over the side.
Gonna miss the man.

Let's Go Brandon!
I have a very large DVD library, that contains a lot of war movies.
One of my favorites is about World War II in the Pacific,
"In Harms Way".

Kirk Douglas is in it, along with John Wayne and Henry Fonda,
Patrica Neal, Burgess Meredith, Dana Andrews.

Its John Wayne's last black and white movie,
directed by Otto Preminger.

I will probably watch it over the next few days,
and remember the passing of another legendary actor,
from a better time.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

They both did. Honestly, his son was much more graceful about it. Kirk called Trump another Hitler, and spouted all of the radical commie talking points. At least Michael was polite enough to say that he had nothing against Trump, he simply disagreed with his politics.
