LW, what is your proteinuria from? Diabetes, hypertension or something else? If the filters of your kidneys are already damaged beyond repair probably the only thing other than dialysis that will help are ACE inhibitors. My sister in law was born with a congenital kidney problem that was undiagnosed until a few years ago and she is down to about 10% function in one kidney and lives on nightly dialysis. Not much chance for her to have a transplant at this point due to concurrent health issues. If you can stay healthy, do it, no matter what it takes. My SIL will be in the first wave of fatalities for any mass infrastructure failure and it is tearing my brother up really bad.
