Well shoot!

I forgot about the NukeAlert, even though I have one and the thumb drive. I've got this 8gb tinie-tiny flash drive in my back-up wallet by A data. It has all my bug-out data on it! It's thinner than a quarter and smaller overall.

Small pill bottle containing low dose aspirin; in case of heart attack or stroke.

For heart attack yes.

HOWEVER for STROKE you better damn well guess right. If the stroke is a CLOT you WANT the aspirin. If it's a BLEED the aspirin isn't gonna make it any better and will likely make it worse.

Which is why, in a Stroke Center we mix the tPa and start a line but don't INFUSE until the brain CT comes back negative....

REALLY embarassing to make things worse and NOT be able to go in and fix it because we have made the patient a bleeder...

Nothing - I keep my keys in my pocket and want them to be as small as possible.

That means I carry no extra keys. If I'm driving the pickup then its 2 keys on the ring pickup and house key. If I'm in the jeep then its jeep and house keys. If I'm riding with someone else its just the house key.

I remember my granddad used to carrys a big keyring with approx 20 keys on it, every key all of the time. Never understood it

on keyring on belt clip: keys, flint key firestarter (lighter flints affixed to old key with JB Weld), cuff key, two inch piece hacksaw blade to scrape sparks from flint key, whistle, squeeze light, carabiner, two small fishing weights

keyring is attached to 14" paracord. at other end of paracord, in belt pouch, is Leatherman Wave secured with wire tie to a quick release.

before i got hitched, never had any keys, cept the car keys, and those were always in the car.

women are into SECURITY, as i discovered, and ended up having to install locks on every door, which means now i carry keys. lots of keys. no room for anything but one of those tiny led flat flashlights about the size of a key.

AND she has a darned BIG dog (great dane/rhodesian ridgeback) that runs around loose as a goose all the time. so i'fn yer com'n down here to loosn up a few pieces of property, forget the locks. you got bigger problems than that.

Other than keys:

1 gig jump drive (1.75"x0.5") with condensed prep/bug-out info

After reading this thread, I'm considering braiding a couple feet paracord into a lanyard to replace the regular lanyard I have now.

About 1/4 pound of keys, and:

-an ASP Street Defender (pepper spray that doubles as a kubotan and a handle for the mini-flail that the 1/4 poind of keys make)

-nine split keyrings, dividing various keys into different batches of similar purpose, and adding length to the 'key flail'

-a SwissTech UtiliKey (small knife blade and screwdrivers)

-a SwissTech mini multi-tool (folding pliers, Phillips and slot screwdrivers etc)

-a yellow Photon LED light

-a dogtag with the PO box mailing address

-the other end of the quick-detachable keyring that's on the NukeAlert in my daypack

whistle, flashlight, sm multiknife. I keep my keyring simple and plain with no extra keys than necessary.

I also carry a fake set of keys (with a few cheap cutsy doodads) and a small packet of money usually about $60 or $70 bucks to "hand over" in case of an untimely situation.

Key ring that I usually carry only has the car key, house key, remote lock for car and a Nuk Alert. I do have a Leatherman Wave in one back pocket almost always though and that covers a lot in the tool area.

Keys, including for my sister's house in town in case of need; car remote, Leatherman Squirt, and an LED torch which runs on 3 hearing aid batteries and is smaller than a AAA type. I don't want to load the keyring up too much because I often carry it in my pocket. The rest goes in my wallet (band-aids, sewing kit, emergency info) or my handbag, which is a whole 'nother story.

I guess I failed to mention what's on my keyring..

I prefer to key my keyring on the small side so I carry a small leather zip pouch. The pouch cantains

Benchmade Mini-AFCK.
Fisher Micro Backpacking pen (a spacepen refill with a cap).
Sparking rod for fire starting.
Mini lighter the size/shape of a single cigarette.
Ultra bright LED light Fenix L0P runs off a single AAA & is as bright as a 2D flashlight.
Spare Truck & House key
Three quarters
3x5 blank index card
old Business card
8gb itty bitty tiny flashdrive

Now my keyring has...

Key & Remote for truck
House key
House key for mom's
Shed key
Garage key
Key Box key
ID tag with ph number
Photon mico light
2gb flashdrive

Here is a picture the 8gb ultra micro drive with a couple quarters, I love it
