From a capability perspective, you are correct - a one-week "get-out-of-jail-free" card to some number of carefully chosen operatives is all it would take. (aren't they called SpecOps . . . )

But, THEN what? What is the back-fill? What assures that the festering millions of national/international bad actors/cognitive defectives will STAY out of the way, while the Republic is being restored? Restoration cannot happen overnight.

We can register as an Independent, which I was for years, but decided I wanted to have a say in the primaries, both national and local, so I bit the bullet and registered Republican.

As the world's policeman tamping things down a bit, I have wondered if America isn't "the great restrainer" taken out of the way in the Bible, freeing aggressive nations to wage wars they would previously have held back on. Many denominations teach that it is the Holy Spirit taken way,but I lean more towards America.
