I'm betting they realized quickly they were not going to all agree on either acquittal or murder 2nd, so they split the baby and compromised on manslaughter so they could all be home in tome for dinner. But that's not how it's supposed to work. If you really think he was not guilty you should hold out until the cows come home - ala 12 Angry Men.

He'll either be acquitted or a mistrial declared... they're evacuating downtown Minneapolis right now so I guess we'll find out soon enough.
