Just got through watching Project Blue Book.

It's case histories of reports written by the professor who gave the classifications for "Close Encounters of the Third Kind". He was a consultant for the movie.

I don't know if I've been abducted, but have woken up and wondered if I was still on Earth.

I get abducted frequently. At least I presume that's what happens. I'm sitting somewhere, minding my own business, and suddenly it's half an hour later or so. I never have memories of the abduction itself, and if they're doing medical experiments on me there's no scars or discomfort. Sometimes I have a little crick in my neck. Being abducted is the only explanation I have for the missing chunks of time.

My wife is not very sympathetic to my horror story, although in other respects she is supportive and loyal. It's possible the aliens pay her in some way.

Just remember: That is an ENTERTAINMENT show.

I was saved and given to Earther parents to raise.
My Klingon heritage was a challenge they said.
Raised in the US for 25 yrs... lets face it , I'm pretty screwed up.

_______________
True story:
When I was 10, I was a Girl Scout.
We went on a weekend sleepover at a nearby camping park.
All of us girls were supposed to lay our sleeping bags under a covered pavilion.
I have always been a tad claustrophobic, so mine was on the edge of the platform, nearest the woods.
The other girls, being 10 year old girls, would not stop chattering, so I could not sleep.

So, I got up, took my bag and went into the woods a ways.
As I lay in the blissful quiet of the New England woods, a real honest-to-god UFO flew overhead.
It flew low, was indeed circular with lots of lights, and totally soundless.
Scared the crap outa me. I did not sleep the rest of the night.

AFAIK, it did not abduct me.

What? Noooooooooooooo. LOL

Yeah it was on for only 2 seasons, but it was cool, and it was based on actual sightings as in the people did see something.

And it should be noted that the real Project Blue Book, proved that 90% of all sightings were not alien UFO's, but were at the time UNIDENTIFIED Flying Objects (later identified).

That still leaves 10% as UNIDENTIFIED, and unknown. Still doesn't mean it was aliens, just unknown.

But it was still a cool show. Had Russian spies in the house and everything.

I noticed that SB had two nails chewed off when we were washing dishes one night, and figured it was from one of the shows we were watching, but which one????? The day after watching Blue Book they all were gone. She got a ragging after that. LOL

I worked at the local plant from 11-7.

Going to work one night, around 10:30 the whole inside of the car lit up. It hadn't been too long since I'd seen Close Encounters, so I almost screamed. Then just for a split second, I saw a flash out of the corner of my eye to the left. I thought then it was probably a small asteroid/meteorite/thingy coming through the atmosphere, or an alien ship crashed.

Still had to go to work though.

Don Henley – They're Not Here, They're Not Coming Lyrics | Genius Lyrics
...
They're not here, they're not coming
Not in a million years
'Til we put away our hatred
'Til we lay aside our fears

You may see the heavens flashing
You may hear the cosmos humming
But I promise you, my sister
They're not here, they're not coming

To this garden we were given
And always took for granted
It's like my daddy told me
"You just bloom where you're planted."
Now you long to be delivered
From this world of pain and strife
That's a sorry substitution
For a spiritual life

Well, it's a cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, cold
Post, postmodern world
No place for sentiment, no room for romance
Bring back the Duke of Earl

They're not here, they're not coming
Not in a million years
Turn your hopes back homeward
Hold your children, dry their tears
You may see the heavens flashing
You may hear the cosmos humming

But I promise you, my brother
They're not here, they're not coming

Years ago, just after I discharged, I rented a 1 bedroom apartment in a Tri-Plex. Rent was a struggle at $395 per month.
Anyhow, I had many episodes of what some call sleep paralyses. My experiences with it were terrifying. I would be lying in bed at night asleep and something kept waking me up. At first I saw a very white light, and it shrunk into a small sliver in the corner of my bedroom. I could see it, and it knew that. Next thing I know, I am awake but cannot move anything on my body other than my eyes. I couldn't even move my neck or head. The only way I could get rid of it was to focus on trying to roll side to side until I got enough momentum to fall off of the bed.

ETA: This happened several times.
