How many still remember all the psychedelic, peace and love songs from the 60's and 70's? How many had a Nehru jacket or flowers in their hair? What songs still endure and which ones just faded away?

Let's take a trip down a paisley filled memory lane!

I don't usually try to play here. In our house, with our connection, streaming means something closer to a gurgle and youtube is more torture than fun.

But it's a great subject and I'm in a mood ;) so what the heck.

After spending the past couple of weeks in Egypt, in mind if not body, this was the first song that popped into my head.

-Really- good picks so far folks!

I'm starting to smell colors already.

Here's one that brings back Jr. High memories. I had an orange paisley Nehru jacket back then. The chicks dug it man.

I love these ancient demo videos. Not many have survived.

Procol Harum - A Whiter Shade Of Pale (From "Live at the Union Chapel")

British rock legends Procol Harum are captured here at their finest, in concert at London's Union Chapel. It was the last night of a tour that had taken them from London through Europe, Japan and North America and back again to London and the band celebrated with a truly magical performance of the rarely heard full version of the immortal A Whiter Shade Of Pale.
This performance is taken from the full length concert DVD "Live at the Union Chapel", available from Eagle Vision now.

Proco Harum sounds as good today as they did back in my wonderful Hippie days.

I will never move out of my Classic Rock,

A -ton- of talent came from this group!

The Small Faces were an English rock and roll band from east London, heavily influenced by American rhythm and blues.[1] The group was founded in 1965 by members Steve Marriott, Ronnie Lane, Kenney Jones, and Jimmy Winston, although by 1966 Winston was replaced by Ian McLagan as the band's keyboardist.[1]

The band is remembered as one of the most acclaimed and influential mod groups of the 1960s.[2][3] With memorable hit songs such as "Itchycoo Park", "Lazy Sunday", "All or Nothing", "Tin Soldier", and their concept album Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake, they later evolved into one of the UK's most successful psychedelic acts before disbanding in 1969.[4] After the Small Faces disbanded, three of the members were joined by Ronnie Wood as guitarist, and Rod Stewart as their lead vocalist, both from The Jeff Beck Group, and the new line-up was renamed the Faces.[5][6] A revived version of the original Small Faces existed from 1975 to 1978.[7]

Small Faces are also acknowledged as being one of the biggest original influences on the Britpop movement of the 1990s.[8] Despite the fact the band were together just four years in their original incarnation, the Small Faces' music output from the mid to late sixties remains among the most acclaimed British mod and psychedelic music of that era.[9]

You are very welcome.

Itchygoo Park really brings back some distant memories for me. Seems like a whole different lifetime.

Outstanding violin/fiddle work from this band. Very mellow. I don't know how many of you have ever heard of them,
