Storm (OTYKEN, 2022?, runtime 3:54) - something along the lines of The Hu but other than that I don't know how to describe this

From their YouTube notes: "The music video was filmed in Siberia, Krasnoyarsk Territory, on the Chulym River. 30 km from the village of Pasechnoye (the capital of the Chulyms). This is the birthplace of the members of the OTYKEN group. Chulyms are the smallest indigenous people of Siberia. According to one version, the Chulyms are the ancestors of the Japanese Ainu and the indigenous peoples of North America. According to another version, the Chulyms are an ancient Turkic tribe."

For lack of a better term, I would call that Folk-Metal. i.e. strong, rapid, modern beats with a smattering of traditional instruments.

That's as good a term as any. I almost called it ethnic metal without the usual metal music instruments. I thought it was interesting for them potentially being "the ancestors of the Japanese Ainu" (seeing as how the Japanese have given their own Ainu the short end of the stick), and that throat singer reminds me a bit of the recreation of Kennewick Man's face. Anyway, a little bit of the old world meeting the modern world on YouTube!

I like this band for Folk-Metal type music.

ELUVEITIE - "The Call Of The Mountains"

Eluveitie (/ɛlˈveɪti/ el-VAY-tee; German: [ɛlˈfaɪ̯tiː])[1] is a Swiss folk metal band from Winterthur, Zürich, founded in 2002 by Chrigel Glanzmann. The project's first demo, Vên, was released in 2003. Vên was a studio project of Glanzmann's, but its success led to the recruitment of a full band. The band then released a full-length album, Spirit, in June 2006. In November 2007, Eluveitie was signed by Nuclear Blast.[2] The group rose to fame following the release of their first major-label album, Slania, in February 2008. The album peaked at number 35 in the Swiss charts and number 72 in the German charts.[3][4]

The band's style incorporates characteristics of melodic death metal combined with the melodies of traditional Celtic music. They use traditional European instruments, including the hurdy-gurdy and bagpipes, amidst guitars and both clean and harsh vocals. Their lyrics include references to Celtic mythology, particularly of Celtic Gaul. The lyrics are often in a reconstructed form of the extinct ancient language Gaulish. The name of the band comes from graffiti on a vessel from Mantua (c. 300 BC).[5] The inscription in Etruscan letters reads eluveitie, which has been interpreted as the Etruscan form of the Celtic *(h)elvetios (“the Helvetian”), presumably referring to a man of Helvetian descent living in Mantua.[6]
