Every summer, I mean to start another indigo vat, but I never get around to it, and it is always winter when I'm thinking of fiber.
I don't need a big vat. My old one was a 1/2 gallon canning jar with an airlock. Crock pots don't get low temp enough. Yogurt temps are about what is needed. I can make a makeshift one with a cheap thermostat, a reptile heat mat, styrofoam cooler, and a large glass jar, but the set up is a little clumsy.
Anyone here who thinks the Instapot (or something else) might work? I recall several members posting about them around Christmas. No, I wouldn't later use it for food.
