Sounds good, for indoor use we use zip firelighters, they're made from peat & parafin, but for outdoor use I've always used Maya Dust, I might order some of these insta-fire fire starters to try

How big is that bucket? Approx how many pellets are you getting?

Will it light with a good spark producer or does one need a flame to get ignition?

Neat looking product for sure.

Thanks.

It is a five gallon bucket, and it lights easily with a lighter.

If tshtf and your freezing your arse off and this stuff will start a fire when all you have is wet wood then its worth its weight in gold,
My house is heated by a solid fuel range & an open fire, no fire means no heat, I appreciate a good fire starter,

Sawdust and paraffin wax packed in paper egg cartons. Break off a cube and light it. They can stay soaked in water, just crack them open and light.

Hey Berkey Guy, do you have a picture of the actual product, how much would be needed to start a fire with dry wood, how much to start a fire with wet wood, how many fires from the five gallon bucket when used as a fire lighter,

I wonder if it gets hot enough to burn turf (dried blocks of peat)

One cup of Insta-Fire will boil 2 cups of water in 10 minutes. It will light 75 briquettes in 10 minutes. It will also provide enough fuel to cook even the toughest of meals. It can also be used as a stand-alone fire with 2 cups burning for approximately 45 minutes with occasional stirring.

I will PM you where to find a picture of the product.
