Key points:
  • Former President Barack Obama said he will take a coronavirus vaccine once one is available.
  • Obama said he would be willing to film it, if that would build confidence in the U.S. about vaccine safety.
  • Obama’s comment came as numerous polls find many Americans are skeptical about getting a Covid-19 vaccine, potentially jeopardizing U.S. vaccination efforts to control the pandemic.
Former President Barack Obama said Wednesday that he will take a coronavirus vaccine once one is available and may film it to build confidence in the U.S. about vaccine safety.

“I will be taking it, and I may take it on TV or have it filmed so people know that I trust this science,” he told SiriusXM’s “The Joe Madison Show” during an interview that is scheduled to air in full Thursday. “What I don’t trust is getting Covid.”

Obama’s comment came as numerous polls find many Americans are skeptical about getting a Covid-19 vaccine, potentially jeopardizing U.S. vaccination efforts to control the pandemic, which has now taken at least 1.48 million lives worldwide. People of color, who have been disproportionately impacted by the virus, in particular, appear to be less eager to take it, according to a recent Gallup poll.

Medical experts say escalated fears due to the pandemic and concerns that President Donald Trump is pressing regulators to approve a vaccine before it is ready are to blame for the skepticism.

To be sure, the reluctance or refusal to get vaccinated has been a growing problem in the U.S. long before the pandemic started. Medical experts point to a long-debunked study published by British researchers in 1998 linking measles vaccines to autism in children. That only emboldened anti-vaxxers, a group of activists known for their opposition to vaccinations and for spreading misinformation, they said.

During the interview, Obama also mentioned the Tuskegee study, in which Black men with syphilis were not offered treatment for decades after penicillin became available in the 1940s so that government researchers could study the long-term effects of the disease.

“I understand, historically, everything dating back all the way to the Tuskegee experiments and so forth, why the African American community would have some skepticism,” he said. “But the fact of the matter is, is that vaccines are why we don’t have polio anymore. And they’re the reason why we don’t have a whole bunch of kids dying from measles, and smallpox and diseases that used to decimate entire populations and communities.”

States expect to distribute a Covid vaccine in as little as two weeks. Moderna and Pfizer late last month requested emergency clearances from the FDA for their Covid-19 vaccines. The reviews by the FDA are expected to take a few weeks, and the agency has scheduled a meeting for Dec. 10 to discuss Pfizer’s request for authorization.

On Tuesday, a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention panel voted 13-1 to give health-care workers and long-term care facility residents in the U.S. the first coronavirus vaccine doses once it’s cleared for public use.

Obama said he would take a vaccine if Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s leading infectious disease expert, said it was safe. Obama said he anticipates that the vaccine will be first made available to those most at risk. He urged them to get a vaccine.

“If you are in that category, if you are elderly, if you’ve got a preexisting condition, if you’re a frontline worker, if you’re a medical worker, if you are in a grocery store, if you’re a first responder, you should take that vaccine,” he said.

I'll bet it's not the real virus but something safe to give Americans confidence that the vaccine is safe. Update: this will be difficult for Obama to do if the rumor that he's been arrested in Hawaii for espionage is true.

anyone who believes in Obama does not need a film to drink the koolaid (which is the most appropriate use of that expression)
anyone who already believes Obama is a liar will not be convinced.

Obama, Soro’s, Gates, Fauchi, and all their ilk probably had a vaccine before this ever hit China!
If so.....it wasn’t the vaccine being passed out to the population of ‘’’we don’t matter.’’’
Just a thought that bounces in my head sometimes.

Wait. I thought this was Trump’s vaccine, and no self respecting global citizen should take it. Right? I thought they were gonna wait till Biden’s moonshot committee developed a vaccine 27.5 years from now...

I KNOW, right? How did Trump and his magnificent Warp Speed program produce a vaccine that Barack Haghyamala Obama would take voluntarily??

OK, this isn't just Obama, other former Presidents and VIPs in the United Kingdom are saying the same, but I have the same concerns as everyone else.

Given what Nightwolf found in terms of the risk of rather serious "level 3" reactions in people (and now verified by the 10 to 15 percent figure I'm seeing in the US Main Stream press - only they just call it "not a walk in the park" reactions); the powers that be KNOW they can't afford to show that on camera.

Nor can they afford to have say Boris Johnson (who despite his denials looks to anyone with a brain to have Long-Covid Syndrome) be rushed to the hospital with a fever of 105 a few hours later.

Just ONE famous person reacting that way, they KNOW will get people to avoid vaccination in droves; no matter how many sticks or carrots they try to apply.

So my hunch is, they will all (or mostly) be shot up with sterile water or something, at least for their public vaccines; in private, they will take which ever vaccine (if they take any at all) is the best money can buy and ignore who invented it or is selling it.

Again, we will have a much better idea in a few weeks how many "level 3" side effects show up (or how bad the level 2 ones are - that can be anything from a slightly sore arm to a fever of 102 for three or four days) in a couple of months or less.

That's because the UK has "fast-tracked" the Pfizer vaccine even over their own Oxford one, and will start shots next week.

Already some NHS staff are saying, "no thanks, we will wait for the longer-term results before taking this," and that could get interesting...

I do not trust the obamanation, he has proven himself to be a master of lies.
But this is part of the the digital iron curtain.

So they take his bottle of Adrenochrome, slap a Coronavirus vaccine label on it, administer it to him on camera, and proclaim that the vaccine is a wonder drug. Evil bastards!
That's just what I was thinking!

Also, I'd rather that camera stay on him for several days or more to record any of the "side effects" that that vaccine (if that's what he is truly given) has on him. We might even find a few secrets coming out! And maybe even get to witness the slapping down physically of an evil, evil man.

Now, I'm going back to read the rest of the thread.
