I think I might have broncitus

I am not feeling terrible yet. I am going to work still. The onset has been gradual, but progressive: a sore throat, then coughing, then later still flem coming up from the cough occassionally.

I am wondering what I can do to help myself get over this.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil...put three or four drops into a bowl of very hot water (not boiling but close), make a tent with a large towel over the bowl, get your head under the towel and breathe in the essence for at least ten minutes. This will break up the congestion in your respiratory system.

In addition, throughout the day hold the bottle up to your nostrils and breathe in the medicinal essence.

I'd try a hot shower to loosen the stuff in your chest, afterward apply Vicks vapor rub to your chest AND the bottom of your feet, put some socks on for an hour or so till it soaks in.

I read on the Internet , to drink/eat a lot hot liquids and rest. I am drinking respiratory therapy tea, maybe 3 glasses a day. Broncititis can last up 2 to 3 weeks, according to this source. Anyway, I have not coughed up any flem in 2 days, and I am still at work. I am eating a lot moose soup, with lots of broth. I am using vics and my humidifier.

So I hope it is getting better.

You might try garlic.

I used to get bronchitis every year, until I started taking garlic capsules. They helped me get rid of my last case of allergy related bronchitis about two years ago. I never start allergy season or winter cold/flu season without them now. They have been life changing for me. Good luck.
