Seed How To Save Collard Seeds

This year I grew heirloom collards called Alabama Blue. It is a beautiful plant the stems and the veins in the leaves are purple. They grew well and the flavor was excellent.

I have never tried to save collards seeds before and had no idea that the plants actually form seed pods. So I am going to let a few plants remain in the garden until they form pods and will harvest seeds when the pods begin to dry. I'll let you all know how this turns out. Might even have some seeds to share.

Good Luck - please let us know how it goes. You've got my interest now. That variety sounds very good.
