No he refines it from raw ore he mines. Close enough from scratch for me.

He also has videos on weaving, natural fabrics (silk, cotton, wool), leather, shearing, honey, tool making... This guy makes me tired just watching. It's like looking over the shoulder of a character from one of Sara's or Kathy's stories come to life and at work.

My interest may not be in the actual finished product, but there are usually nuggets of info that apply to some other process.
