How Do You Remove Skin Tags?

Place the inside of a banana peel against it and tape it down for a couple of days. It should fall off or be easier to remove by then. Good luck. I had one on my bra line that was really bothersome and it worked for it.

Mine are on little stalks. A VERY sharp toenail clippers and a quick swab after of hydro peroxide does the trick. I get the darn things in my bra line also.

DD calls it our 'dining room table surgery'. A swipe of alcohol, sterile tweezers to stretch the tag, and new sharp cuticle scissors (also sterilized) to snip them off. I spent good money one time years ago to have the doctor do just that.

**Warning...if you let the base of the tag get too big, it will hurt like the dickens cutting through. Been there. Done that.

My aunt had about a zillion of the on her neck...the doctor wanted to charged per tag--a lot! I yanked them off with my fingernails and swabbed her down with rubbing alcohol. The doctor had a fit!

By the way, the spots healed almost overnight...and the skin tags never grew back.

You guys are sure tough. No way! I'll go for the Lugols or banana peels. I'm sure it's faster your way, but ouch! I have too many to go thru all that.
I believe they are related to a thyroid problem, but don't hold me to it.

Tie them off tightly with a piece of dental floss. You can trim the ends of the floss short so it's not so noticable. Skin tags will fall off in a couple of days.

Thanks for your responses; I think I'll try the less painful way first, then if that doesn't work, I'll get the clippers out.

working on it
I had a big one right in the middle of the arm pit. Every time I shaved the darn thing would bleed. I had to go to the dermatologist to get it and another one removed. Had to pay the co-pay of $25 and it hurt for a few days ( and no deodorant ew lol), but it was worth it. It hasn't come back and that was 2 years ago.
Now I have a bunch of tiny ones all around the bra line. Maybe it is the thyroid. Because I'm hypothyroid and I noticed them around the same time I was diagnosed. Hmmm....
I've also heard years back on tv that they were caused by a virus. Who knows! LOL

If you hold ice on them for a minute before you snip them theres no pain. If its very big the "stalk" will bleed quite freely, dip a q-tip in alum powder and dab onto the bleeders to get it stopped. I'm plagued with them... and hate them... so I've removed several!

I was told that they are a result of skin contact with skin as well as hormones? My blood sugar is fine and I have 2 on my neck, so I would be curious on it.

Neither here nor there.
they are hereditary some of us are more proned to them than others. As for the ones in the armpits, go see your GI doc as those indicate polyps in the colon.
