This drink has gone over very well with children and grown ups, alike!
Hot Buttered Drink
1 lb. Softened butter (I use 2 sticks instead of 4)
1 lb. Golden brown sugar
1 lb. Powdered sugar
1qt. Vanilla Ice Cream
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
Mix well and store in freezer. I use an electric mixer for this and finish beating it by hand. Doesn’t take long to do.
To make one serving, place ¼ cup mix in a mug, fill with boiling water and mix well till frothy.
I add cinnamon and nutmeg on the top.
This mix keeps very well in the freezer! I usually have this mix made up all winter and especially for Christmas.
Simple to make and it warms you up, guess the spices.
You add a little rum and it becomes…a Hot Buttered Rum.
