ATLANTA — Multiple people were shot near Atlantic Station Saturday night, Atlanta Police said.

Police said that they are currently investigating the shooting at 37 Market Street. A heavy police presence can be seen outside 17th Street Northwest.

At this time, it is not yet known what let up to the shooting or if any people were killed. Police have not said whether they have a suspect in custody.

The shooting comes at one of the busiest times for the popular shopping and entertainment destination. Shoppers in the district have been out and about for the holiday season, especially with Black Friday just concluding.

Additionally, the ever-popular Cirque du Soleil shows have flooded people into Atlantic Station all weekend for their events that are playing through Dec. 24.

Atlantic Station is one of the most concentrated thug gansta street racing crowds, and all that goes with it, hang.

Somehow, I smell the g o v behind these numerous shootings the past few days, weeks, months, years. TPTB are sure overly eager to get gun control passed in congress, and they are using every crisis they can and making a bunch of them to use. They all disgust me beyond measure. I hope they and their stooges all rot in h*ll for what they've done to people and families, just so they can manufacture a crisis to use for their "control."

Today, shopping malls are a magnet for groid infestation and violence... I hate to say it because I once loved to go them years ago...
All shopping malls, all across the ZUSA, need to be abandoned,
and then D9 Cat dozers brought in, and the malls bulldozed
into the ground.

They are a relic of better times, that are never going to return.

Please be safe everyone.

Regards to all.

sorry but I have difficulty seeing the bulk of this as anything more than a SELF LIMITING PROBLEM . . . as long as it stays in the hood. AND when it comes out here - it will prove to be even more so. the vast majority of people with "eyes to see and ears to hear" have HAD ENOUGH.

Before bulldozing, fill them up with street thugs, then call in airstrikes, wave after wave of B-52's. Do that for 24 hr, then bull doze

Trying to conjure up images of the self-realised evil gun enjoying a soak after a hard days work I guess.

I used to give a PM heads-up to folks so the grammar nazis wouldn't jump on them, but we had a big blow-up over it a few months back. Consensus was it's toxic to forewarn people, and much nicer to just let the nazis attack. Could have knocked me over with a feather. I reminded people that they thanked me for warning them, and they told me they thanked me to make me go away, and really wanted me to stop but didn't want to say so. Uh-huh, got it.

So I quit. :)

If I recollect properly, Atlantic Station was built as a planned community with a serious percentage of condos/apartments set aside for low income housing. Stupid is, as stupid does. Stupid needs to hurt. Your Politicians at work...
Sounds like the MidCity development in Huntsville Alabama except for the low income housing, they are very expensive apartments.

The housing units are not completed yet. They are building a pedestrian skybridge though to connect to other parts of the city, real smart.

I use to have a second job at a fine jewelry store in Lakeside Mall, in Metairie, LA. This mall had everything and had so much sensory overload that it was almost like being at disney world. It was a safe place for a long time, but when the teenagers started hanging out it became, ultimately dangerous. I left that job when it first started, not because of the potential danger but because I could get along without that second job. Of course its been years and years since I've been there, even before I moved to the woods. I wouldn't be surprised if it hasn't just about gone to the dogs by now. I can think of two other once fabulous malls in the new orleans area that crime killed.

This “grammar nazi” points out errors to be helpful, sometimes funny, but never to “attack” or be hurtful. I try to always post a cute smiley afterwards.

If I have hurt anyone by doing such, I sincerely apologize. Including you, bw, for feeling like you needed to warn people about me. :(

I won’t do it anymore, unless Dennis posts something obvious.
