That is nothing, in Florida everyone who is tested for covid 19, is positive. 100%.

When this broke out in China, an entire apartment building had people testing positive despite no contact with each other. How? They don't have drain traps in their septic system, figure out the rest for yourself. What do drain traps, hospitals and nursing homes all having in common?

Look I've tried to show you the science regarding masks, your argument isn't with me.
Liberty...You really do not get it...I have known about this for 4 months..

Tomorrows news today...thank me later...

You are a simple ...one sided looking individual..that needs to look around..and pay attention to whats actually happening in other states that you do not live in..

some hospitals are fine...(just has not gotten there yet)give it a while..
It happens in waves..and overnight..empty one moment..overflowing into the rest of the hospital..the next..

because of lack of testing..and the correct testing...and the ease of testing..hydroxcychloroquine is almost useless by the time most people present at the hospital..the disease is already in the later stages..hence the danger to ones system..if given too late..it puts too many stresses on the body and is much less effective for treatment...hence the blood clotting..leading to death..and the immune system ..turning on its self...

you should know this..

why is testing so hard to provide in mass for anyone..cheap? or free of charge??other counties do it..why not the wealthiest country in the world??

as far as you calling me pompous?

please ...I am anything but.....I tell it like it is..no sugar coating....but I will tell you what I am...I am ashamed to walk the streets with such a limited..unempathetic ...one sided, conspiracy minded,distrusting..individual.
sure big pharm wants to make money..and thats why the average lifespan is now what it is..can I return you to the time when we all died before 40 years of age??no fda..no cdc..perfect for you..right?
taking hydroxcy as a preventitive may work for some..but be disasterous for others..and is limited in many ways..kinda like antibodies,,short term...so.. NO.........
hydroxcy is NOT the answer..a helper in ..SOME..situations..but by no means an endall..look ahead..look where were going ...no real bullet cure.(.just helpers and prayers) ..limited short term immunity...herpes like reinfection mechanism...an evolving pathogen.(.going for younger hosts currently)....vaccines are a longshot because of its ability to morph...YEA!!..ITS BAD!!..and NOT going away!

say hello to the restrictions lifestyle..the masks to infinity...the loss of sports/going out to eat/parents checking out at 50/the end of bars/grandparents...(whats a grandparent?)/preventive healthcare going down the tubes../loss of tourism/loss of international respect/restrictions for american travel/housing collapse/city real estate collapse/job loss double the great depression and getting worse/Market eventual meltdown../loss of dollar reserve currency status..
All because of stubborn people who care only of themselves..leading to more and more problems..

YES..we have a problem...stamp this thing out...NOW!..the only way ..barring divine intervention...

Yea..I am pompus...talk about calling the kettle black??..look in the mirror..
Go **** yourself. You're delusional.

Typical Flu deaths in the US are estimated to be 36,000 per year, though I've seen published ranges of 18k to 65k for a 'bad' year.

Deaths attributed to the CV so far are 139,255.

Got a ways to go this year for both, too.

I keep seeing numbers and flu comparisons like this all over the net.

I am a nurse. I work in a hospital, I have seen mild and bad flu seasons. During the “bad one” we had with in the last 10 years I saw maybe one or two people hospitalized per floor. And they usually went home within 3 says to a week. Some died.

What I am seeing from COVID starting this past month- 4 weeks. Is a full ICU. 7 of 8 have it. There is also approx 2 cases per floor. They have been with us from 2 to 4 weeks. The average stay being two weeks.

I have seen two die so far. Not a huge number at all. But what is a huge number is the length of stay. 2 to 4 weeks (and we still have 3 in the ICU) is a hella long hospital stay.

From what I can tell about this disease so far is this....you dont know HOW your system will react to it.

Example, co worker came down with it. Showed up with the chills and a temp of 101. Sent him home, and those were his only symptoms for two weeks. He did fine. But the other 13 people I have seen with it are still hospitalized, sick, and building up a huge bill. I have never, in my 26 year career seen a disease that keeps you hospitalized for 3 to 4 weeks.

And that is my boots on the ground observation.

Always appreciate links, and your improved posting style.

I'm not sure both reports can be true, you have one science report that actually captured the breath from patients, and this news story with "and some were coughing". You still have the problem of masks and physics, and Yes, I know viral load.
Liberty..
I came to this board because I know many here are fatigued on all the misleading virus info..
I did so because lots of members here... have helped me over the years..immensely.
I wanted to pay it forward in a sense, because I know many members are up there in years as I am myself..and are (PRIME VIRUS FOOD)..
I have had the unique position of being VERY close to so many people dealing directly with this disease..

It is hugely true, there is a total disinformation campaign going on from one state to the next, and some of us are going to struggle for life with this disease, and that CAN be avoided.
Following a few simple rules..can give you a HUGE advantage in not only avoiding this killer, but even if you get it..if you practiced the rules ..you can get a milder version of covid19.

I started scouring the net for info ,about this thing.. around New Years ,when china was leaking info about the disease. With my family on the line,I knew it would only be days (with air travel)before it arrived here.
I have spent a great deal of time gathering information from lots of sources.

Right after Christmas ...I noticed several young males of Asian decent (MASKED) ...These were observers. They were found in several different stores. This happened over several days....

My police training..Identified them as red flags for a few reasons.

Its true..Older folks with masks, trying to avoid the flu at this time ..YES..but these guys..NO.. I have never been witness to twenty somethings,(MALES), in small groups, together, but all acting seperately...just walking around, observing, people..?and NOT shopping, ALL OF THEM looking at JUST people.!.not mechandise...never..looking at the goods..
What it means??I have my thoughts.
A few days later..there were tons of Asians in all the stores buying the entire stores stocks of N95 masks.
You think they had a clue?
With perspective...
What is happening to the Asian race that lives in this country,at this time, as a whole, is dreadfull....kinda like after the towers went down,Indians, from India,at the gas stations were being bullied to the point of assault..and lots of them were battered by the ignorant.
These Asian American folks are stupidly being blamed currently for this Virus. And THAT is ignorant.
They ARE americans..and we ALL are fortunate to have them as part of our nation.

They are some of the Best docs known to man.

Something to think about.

But really.. if I can not even get you and others like you..over the MASK..hump..I give up.
Your on your own.
Lots of Republicans here ...and I wanted to help them out.
I believe the 'Donald' has other priorities at this time.

God Bless

Are you sure about that?
Maxy signs up in March 20th of this year, but waits almost four months to post anything, despite saying "I came to this board because I know many here are fatigued on all the misleading virus info..."

Right.

Maxy, there are multiple people here with people on the front lines of this event, and the issues have been discussed in more or less calm fashion most of the time. Now you get all :bhrt: because you yell at us with disjointed writings and act like we're unreasonable, look down your nose at us. Get real.

I just really wish people would stop getting so hateful with each other over this! The division it’s creating is just as bad as BLM!

It’s scary, and we all feel there is “more” to this weapon that’s been put upon us... but really people, just “do you” and stop arguing!

It's a great mystery, isn't it?

I mean, it just showed up almost everywhere!

Gee, I wonder how that coulda happened?
Being intentionally spread by generally unknown means . . . always an alternative possible explanation, though usually discounted and pooh-poohed by the herd.

Possible.

"We, The People®" simply do not know.

War, by OTHER means.

Sorry if I gave you the idea that I have a "mask hump", I wear them when in confined areas with others because there is so much we still don't know. I just don't think this bug is going away because everyone wears a mask. I'm not sure it ever goes away which is why I am loading up on Vit c.

It may be that people responded more to the "tone" of your earlier posts, something that you have altered, thanks. We are all on the same team.

All good...my tone was really my frustrations with all the maskless ,rebels..thinking its all about them..sorry.

.did not mean to alienate anyone.
especially anyone following( mask and 6 foot...)
My posts were more directed at some of these..("I WILL NEVER WHERE ONE!")and ("I am going to church!!..to hell with covid") people..
plenty on this board....

I wanted them to know ,where I am coming from..

Outside I never where a mask, as we are rural.

about not posting for 3 months(as I was accused)

..just recently, I opened an email from the mods here at T.B.
apologizing for having problems with cencorship and redirecting..they invited me to post.

.I did.

although...being told to.. #%*K off..by a poster was rich.....he is the guy I was aiming for.

The division is the goal....little to do with health. Another battle front. Trolling is in full warp speed these days. Don't take much of a nose, a little spine comes in play though.

i have not read this thread, but i wonder if anyone will be able to tell me some info.

ihave no idea where or when exactly that is heard it, but i remember something fairly recently about people get the annual flu shot somehow being more susceptible to covid. it was something along the lines of those that had NOT gotten the flu vaccine were among the less severe, and those that HAD gotten the flue vaccine were those that had the more severe.

does anyone remember seeing anything about this?
I remember seeing that. I think on the main virus thread a few months ago. I also remember very early on, there was some speculation/rumors coming out of China saying that China had been working on some type of vaccine program (can't remember what disease it was for) and had been giving experimental vaccine to their population and there was speculation that it was making their people get sicker from CV19 as a result.

IIRC, it was among the large numbers of deaths that occurred in Italy, primarily seniors who had taken the flu shot. There was also something about China providing Italy with those shots. Since twice in my life I've been really sick twice in one year, and both of those years where I had gotten a flu shot, I never get them anymore. I get the flu about once every seven to ten years.

2 years ago I got a flu that almost ended me..had not had a flu shot in 35 years..Did get the flu about 4 times in that span,no big deal.
Last year... went to walgreens for the Quad shot..
If there is ANY chance to avoid what almost ended me..and what I went through..at this point in my life....I am all in..I want the chance.
sorry..I am NOT in the antivaccers club..
If you under 60??perhaps...but the older you get..??for me..I will take the risk..Death is the alternative..
and I am not ready ..yet..CLOSE..but not just yet.

You may feel otherwise as your immune system starts to fade.Good luck with that.

My husband had his annual physical with one of the top docs for internal medicine in ATL. They were chatting up about Co-vid. He said "It's going to get WORSE before it gets BETTER! He's predicting the vaccine will be working by second quarter of 2021! My son is a Critical Care nurse at one of the largest Medical centers in Central GA. He said ALL co-vid units are FULL with full diversion to other hospitals! My brother picked it up in the same city although he wears a mask and works from home.?? He has no idea where he picked it up!

The mask that your brother wore, Unless it is labeled as an N95 mask is only N95 outward. That means he was wearing it to protect other people in case he had a symptomatically. In which case it is not N95 inward.

Adding my own personal observations, I was supporting on a hospital floor in Dallas a couple of weeks ago and they discharged a man after fighting the ccpvirus for 2 months. Just a little over 2 weeks ago, a man came and told all the nurses at the nursing unit that they were going to start getting cases up from the South.. I expect that means from Houston, Where their hospitals were already pretty much full before I left Dallas for the short project in San Antonio.

Also, 2 weeks ago I was working in an urgent care in San Antonio. they tested 3 people and one of them had enough symptoms that they decided to do an X-ray. I saw the lung X-ray come up on the computer and the doctor said "that's ground glass syndrome. He's definitely got it, admit him to the hospital."

Those doctors at the urgent care are gloving, gowning and masking up and going into standard exam rooms, interacting with the patients, and coming out. No negative pressure rooms or anything like that. They wipe off their stethoscopes in the keyboard frequently, but that's about it. This is probably as close as I have ever come to being exposed to it. Please don't make these people's jobs any harder than they already are.
