Ballotpedia is a tool to learn more about local candidates, the past voting records of incumbents, and the issues to be voted on in upcoming elections, as well having articles pertinent to other voting issues (redistricting, etc.). I looked up the candidates for my state, and, while our current senator at large makes me want to spit, their write up of her was purely factually based, neither a cheerleading sort of thing nor the well deserved a** kicking it ought to be. It simply laid out when she was elected, the committees she has served on, and the important pieces of legislation she voted for. They are transparent about their methodology. It may prove a useful resource.
