If you decide you don't want it anymore, it's a MEGA biach to get rid of. I've had problems with it not wanting to go away. I uninstalled it, deleted the folder, and it came back. So, I went to the registry and ran a find from there. Got rid of it all ...I thought...and then I noticed the little file on the hard disk was back. So, back to the registry I went to see what browser it thought I was using. It thought I was using mozilla!
So....I ran a search for mozilla and FINALLY got rid of it.
I had to search for Firefox, Thunderbird AND Mozilla. What a mess. Now my IE works great...again...finally.
Firefox is an "OK" browser but I was frustrated with being able to configure it to MY tastes. I had difficulty with the changes actually occuring or occuring correctly. Finally I got frustrated with it because there was so much I couldn't do with it (like chat with java such as what tb and ez board use) among other things. Shortly after I dumped it, the news announced it was vulnerable to attack.
I've come to the conclusion that they are ALL vulnerable one way or another, and always will be. I do everything I can to batten down the hatches with IE and so far, I've done well. As more info is made available to secure it, ie with 3rd party software, I make a point of learning it, and applying it. My particular method isn't perfect, but it's been pretty decent keeing in mind that no browser is perfect, and all have their particular breed of vulnerabilities. I may as well use what I enjoy the most.
