I can NOT for much longer deal with these things. I have been to docs...I have tried natural....sometimes when I curl up with 2 pillows and a bottle of aspirin or 8 BC powders I WANT it OVER. I am so SO sick of this f(*III*G pain. I sometimes can honestly 'get' why some people just fix it. themselves...and no....I am NOT gonna do nothing stupid like that but does ANYONE have ANY idea of how to get rid of this BS HA ? The kind that wake you up in the middle of the night EVRY FU****NG NIGHT...without mercy....? Seriously....its like some little shady demon is firing off little bows at my face....sometimes I'd rather die.....I get rid of the pain for a few blessed minutes and I'll be damned if not an hour later it feels like a battlefield....had a CT...had an MRI....they say NOTHING.....this shit HURTS.....shoot me.....

VS are these migraines or do you know? I heard something not long ago from a neuro that some people have higher intracranial pressure than others (duh ya reckon?) and that these people benefitted from raising the head of their bed up 4-6 inches so that gravity drains some of the fluid from the cranium when they sleep. That is true (the fluid drainage) but whether it works or not, who knows. However, it IS something you can try right now and it certainly won't harm you.

Do expand your post and explain what you DO know about the HA and maybe an idea will find it's way into this spot. Hope you feel better!!

I can't
expand....one doc said migraine one doc said tension and another doc said trauma which is why I lost 75% hearing in one ear...I have no idea but what I DO KNOW is that soon I am not going to have a stomach because of the aspirin...but it is the ONLY thing that works for at least an hour. I just know that now these things are waking me up. This is new. And I'm not talking a mild silly HA, this is a headBEATING all around I hate you, you should die, type pain. And I cannot describe it any further than that.

Without knowing the cause, we are taking stabs in the dark. How much water do you drink daily?

Could be dehydration, stress, or an allergy.

Try drinking tons of water and going on a 24 hour food fast and see if that does any good.

Good luck. Sounds miserable.

Have you seen a chiropractor? You'd be surprised at how many 'Head"aches actually originate in tight muscles or other problems in the neck. My youngest son was suffering from excruciating headaches after a bad car wreck, and they were blaming it on his post-concussion syndrome. However, two visits with a GOOD chiropractor (they have to be good- working on the neck can be dangerous) stopped them cold.

You say it feels "like some little shady demon is firing off little bows at my face", WHERE is the pain? Facial "headaches" are often trigeminal neuralgia, and yes it SUCKS.

Gotta pinpoint it better than you have to figure it out.

VS, I am going to talk as a mom who's daughter suffered from headaches for years and then in 2010 developed a horrible headache and started to throw up. She was told on Thrusday it was the stomach flu. She was complaing about vision issues too so they said it was migraines brought on by the flu. Three days later she woke up blind. That day we found out that she had idiopathic intercranial hypertension.

You may want check out the Intracrational Hypertension Research Foundation and see if any of the symptoms match what you are feeling.

If they do you will want to find a neurologist ASAP because vision loss can happen suddenly and be permanent as our family found out.

Be sure to get enough fluids as dedydration can cause headaches. Aspirine does nothing for me so I have to take Advil or Aleve, they seem to help.

What helps ease mine the most is to sit on the edge of the tub (lights off) and soak your feet up to your ankles in hot water, at the same time put a bag of ice on your head.

If you can't sit at the tub at all then get a footbath pan filled with hot water and set it on the bed where you can lay down, bend your knees and let your feet soak in it. Don't forget to put the ice on your head too.

VS, have you tried to pinpoint a trigger for the headaches? Do they always appear after sleeping for an hour or do they pop up at other times of the day? If these headaches always start after being alseep and it wakes you, that's where I would start to look for causes.

I get what I call a migrane every once in a while. Head pounds to the point of just wanting to cut it off. I'm very sensitive to light and sometimes sound just sends me through the roof. Only thing that helps is two tylenol PM, going down into my dark, cool, quiet basement and sleep. I finally figured out that not getting enough sleep is a trigger, as is extreme heat.

I just read an article in Woman's Day about headaches. I know it's not a scientific journal but it did make a few suggestions.

First you have to diagnose what kind of headache it is. It's either a cluster of most probably a migraine. You can try OTC med for a migraine or magnesium, B12 or CoQ10.

I realized that I was taking my CoQ10 at the wrong time of the day...before bed. It is supposed to increase energy and I was taking it at night!
